Today, educational facilities are considered to be one of the most important built environment. And the appropriate combinations and applications of technical elements related to green building on the education facilities are emphasized and demanded. These are must be compatible with the occupants' activities and their needs. The objective of this research is to identify and analyze of green building technologies, based on Green Educational Facilities' Case Study in Korea, USA, and Japan. As a result of the comparative analysis of this research, the green technological approaches, problem, and characteristics on educational facilities in different area, climate zone are identified and analyzed by external environment, energy, materials and resources, and indoor environment. It is useful as basic reference for future green educational facilities' planning and design in Korea.

This is a qualitative case study conducted for the purpose of enhancing educational effect of safety education facilities. Recently, the Ministry of Education (MoE) has proclaimed the 7 standards for school safety education, and has established safety education facilities to implement experience-based safety education. This study attempted to explore ways to enhance educational effect of safety education facilities through participatory observation and interview conducted with personnel of several facilities. The findings of the study were as follows: it was necessary to secure and maintain facilities for the implementation of substantial safety education, to develop and distribute standardized curriculum and materials, and to improve quality of professional instructors. The study suggested implications and future tasks to improve the education effect of safety education facilities in various dimensions.

Sixteen provincial Research Institute of Education and Science(RISE) in the country have provided good qualified multimedia educational materials that was produced by some special skilled teachers to elementary, middle and high school teachers using web services. And moreover KERIS and KICE have also produced educational materials and have a plan to integrate distributed multimedia educational materials that RISE produced. The development of KERIS's KEM metadata in 2001 and the making of educational material metadata of RISE is the first step of integration plan. These metadata can be used to make integration plan possible. But before taking integration plan, the study of how to integrate and manage it should be performed. Therefore, this paper introduces the technique of XML web service and JDBC with 3-tier system as the method of integrate distributed educational material metadata. The evaluation shows these two methods have similar response time with MS SQL Server 2000 and Oracle 9i. Thus, we conclude that JDBC and XML web service can be the proper solution to search XML-formatted metadata.
The aim of the work that is presented in this paper is to develop the new prior educational materials which use the field trip and to present educational possibilities. The QR codes were used to develop the prior materials. The developed materials applied to elementary students who attended to filed trips in 2012. This was practically achieved by the use of smartphone which enhance the learning experience of a physical visit by providing personalized information with QR codes. The results demonstrate the technology supported physical field trips provides significantly improved learning outcomes, increases students curiosity. Furthermore the findings of the study demonstrate that the application of the specific emerging technologies could facilitate the development of advanced learning experiences in field trips, increasing at a significant level the learning outcomes and the motivation of the participating students.
This study was conducted to contribute to development of both educational materials and programs necessary to effectively teach the environmental health to the students of the middle and high schools, by analysing their understanding and attitude toward the environmental health. Also this study was carried out with 3120 male and female students of the middle and high schools in the urban and rural areas for three months from April 1 to June 30, 1993. Based on this study is required for the related authorities, schools, experts and patents to make all their efforts, in other for the students to correctly understand the environment while this study contributes to the development of educational programs useful for effectively studying the environment and of educational materials concerning environment of the middle and high schools.
This study was conducted to contribute to development of both educational materials and programs necessary to effectively teach the environmental health to the students of the middle and high schools, by analysing their understanding and attitude toward the environmental health. Also this study was carried out with 3120 male and female students of the middle and high schools in the urban and rural areas for three months from April 1 to June 30, 1996. Based on the result of this study, It is required for the related authorities, schools, experts and patents to make all their efforts, in other for the students to correctly understand the environment while this study contributes to the development of educational programs useful for effectively studying the environment and of educational materials concerning environment of the middle and high schools.
The purposes of this study were as follows; to investigate elementary school teachers' understanding of scientific inquiry, experiences in learning/teaching, their educational experience of scientific inquiry, and to study the difficulties they experience in teaching scientific inquiry methods to elementary students and their suggestions for future inquiry materials. For the purposes of this study, 157 elementary school teachers participated in a survey and 10 teachers were interviewed in-depth in relation to their ideas and experiences of scientific inquiry. The results show that most elementary school teachers had a lack of understanding of scientific inquiry skills, and lacked educational experiences of inquiry methods in general. They generally perceived the 7th science text-books as being inappropriate and inadequate for teaching students scientific inquiry processes. The educational implications are discussed to help practitioners implement scientific inquiries successfully through the various types of teaching materials and professional developments.
The experimental software such as Cabri II, The Geometer's Sketchpad, etc. provides dynamic environment which construct and explore geometric objects interactively and inductively. It has the effects on mathematics itself differently from other technologies that are used in instruction. What is its characteristics\ulcorner What are the educational implication of it for the learning of geometry\ulcorner How is mental reasoning of geometric problems changed by transformation of the means of representation and the environment to manipulate them\ulcorner In this study, we answer these questions through the review of the related literatures and the analysis of textbooks, teaching materials using it and curricular materials. Also, we identify implications about how the criteria for choosing geometic content and the ways of constructing context, for orchestrating the students' exploration with the secondary geometry curriculum, can be changed.
Textbooks are official materials so that these are the most frequently used teaching materials in school. The teacher constructs the lesson based on the contents of the textbook to achieve the learning goal. Thus, textbooks play an important role because the quality of the contents in textbooks affects the cognitive level of students. This study investigates the cognitive domain based on Bloom's Taxonomy of Educational Objectives(knowledge, understanding, application, analysis, synthesis and evaluation) of 'Values and Expression' in the mathematics textbook of the first grade of middle school reflecting the 2015 revised mathematics curriculum. We also looked at cognitive levels based on Bloom's Taxonomy of Educational Objectives. As a result, it was found that understanding was dominant in 'Values and Expression'. Also, although the problem of requiring a higher level of cognition is increasing as the unit finishes, there are still a high percentage of low level of problems.

The study reported here is a part of the Korean Science Education Database (SEDB) project, a long-term effort to improve science education by providing educational information to science educators. The purpose of the SEDB project is to improve access to science resources available to teachers, students, parents, and others. Three educational database have been investigated and discussed in depth. The Educational Resources Information Center (ERIC) that is the largest education database in the world and the Eisenhower National Clearinghouse for Mathematics and Science Education (ENC) that is creating an easy-to-use catalog of mathematics and science curriculum materials have been investigated on the aspect of system and operation. The pilot form of the SEDB developed in this study has committed itself to reaching audiences that include practitioners and policymakers. The SEDB should be a collection of the most up-to-date and comprehensive listing of science curriculum materials in the nation, because educators need better access to the best instructional materials and programs to continually improve science education our nation's science. The researchers recommend the practical tips for developing an effective science education database.
