The purpose of this study was to analyze the school location decision direction for land use planning of public land development. And this research proposed the school location decision direction for urban amenity. So this research present the implication on urban planning and design for architecture, park-school complex. This study perform the relationship with land use planning out side environment of school land. This research proved the fact that the school land relationship with the park, the other school land etc. And this result will be used in decision-making-process of land use planning, public land development construction, urban design and city policy.

The purpose of this study was to explore factors predicting career exploration behavior of engineering students. Career decision making types(rational type, intuitive type, and dependent type) and career decision making self-efficacy were included as predictors for this study. 249 engineering students in Gyeonggi-do of South Korea participated in this study and 231 data analyzed as final samples through multiple regression and mediation analysis. Results showed as follows: first, rational and intuitive decision making significantly predicted career exploration behavior. Also, career decision making self-efficacy completely mediated between these career decision making types(rational and intuitive) and career exploration behavior. The implication of the findings on practice for career education are discussed in the paper.

The purpose of this study was to focus on the effects of a mother's characteristics and self-awareness as they impact upon parenting stress, with the additional aim of creating an appropriate structural equation model. The subjects of the study comprised 2078 newborn children (and their mothers) taken from the $1^{st}$ year of the Korea Children's Panel. The results of the research are as follows. The mother's feeling of pregnancy, her income activity, religion, and educational level impacted significantly upon self-awareness, whereas employment status did not. In addition, the feeling of pregnancy and income activity had a effect on parenting stress both directly and indirectly. Educational level and religion impacted on parenting stress indirectly through self-awareness. Both employment status and self-awareness were found to have impacted on parenting stress directly. The implication of these findings are also discussed.

There are various methods of proving a proposition. Among these, 'mathematical induction' is treated in school mathematics weightly. But many students have difficulty with the proof by 'mathematical induction'. To solve this problem, analysis needs to be attempted in various aspects This study attempts to compare the teaching methods of 'mathematical induction' in South and North Korea and to acquire the implication. In fact, many differences between South and North Korea are found. These differences are caused by epistemological and psychological premise. Therefore this study investigates the epistemological and psychological aspects in North Korea and compares the textbooks in South and North Korea. Through this study, some implications are found. First, the sequence of introducing the 'mathematical Induction' needs to be considered. Second, the rich context of applying the 'mathematical induction' is needed. Finally, disagreement between curriculum and textbook in South Korea needs to be reconsidered.

This study examined the direction that desirable educational direction of science and engineering graduate schools. In order to achieve the purpose, in-depth interviews were conducted with faculty, staffs and students of 'A' science and engineering research-oriented university. As a result of the study, first, independent researchers with international competitiveness, second, intellectuals who fulfill social responsibilities, convergent leaders across various boundaries of knowledge, and fourth, passionate people with a sense of challenge. Conclusions were made on enhancing the competitiveness of higher education and innovating graduate education in South Korea based on research findings.

Because personal information files held by educational institutions include sensitive information such as personal school affairs information or health information, damages resulted from personal information leakage of educational institutions are expected to be serious. In order to respond to this problem, the Ministry of Education has expanded information security education targeting (personal) information security officers in educational institutions. However, a number of personal information leakage cases of public institutions occurred at educational institutions. Thus, this study, targeting information security education centers, through an empirical research, tries to confirm whether information security education supply is being properly provided for (personal) information security officers in educational institutions, and suggest the appropriate balance between education supply and education demand as the implication for the educational direction of information security education centers.

This study was done to develop a digital textbook for students to use over the internet for maternity nursing practice. The textbook is not only for student nurses, but also for nurse midwives and nurses working in the maternity. The process used was as follows; 1. Existing educational media on maternity nursing were reviewed and examined. 2. Workshops and meetings were held to decide the most appropriate type of presentation. 3. The digital content including text, pictures, audios, and videos were developed using Macromedia Dreamweaver, Adobe Photoshop and Adobe Premier. 4.Revisions were made recursively as the content was previewed and implemented over the internet by professionals and the end-users. 5. A database of members and a web survey module were developed and posted. The clinical implication of a digital textbook over the internet is the possibility of using it to educate many student nurses throughout the country and to disseminate the content for whoever needs it in practice settings and facilities. Another implication is that this site stressed interactivity by developing member database and web survey. In conclusion, the study found this first trial of digital textbook to be a unique educational media for nursing skills practice. Further refinement of this media is strongly recommended.

Recently, Korean universities have increased the number of English Medium Instruction (EMI) lectures in order to allow students to gain both specialized knowledge and enhanced English ability. Previous researches on effective EMI lectures have focused on exploring the effects of learners' cognitive and affective characteristics on learning outcomes. Whereas the input variables of learning have been investigated as predicting variables of effects in EMI lectures, there has been a few research for investigating process variables to yield learning outcomes. The purpose of this study is to analyze the structural relationships among variables affecting on learner satisfaction and effects. The participants are 209 engineering students from various majors. Independent variables are defined as English motivation, English competency, and English confidence, a mediated variable is Cognitive engagement, and dependent variables are Learning satisfaction and Educational effect perception. The results show that the relationships are statistically significant: learners' English competency & English confidence ${\rightarrow}$ Cognitive engagement ${\rightarrow}$ Learning satisfaction ${\rightarrow}$ Educational effect perception. Especially, the structural model confirms that the effect of learners' English confidence on Learning satisfaction and Educational effect perception is mediated by the level of learners' Cognitive engagement. Further, the implication for effective EMI lectures is discussed based on the observed research results.

Recently, rainwater has come to the forefront as an alternative resource contributing to solving various environmental problems, especially those related to water. However, more or less biased perspectives on rainwater as a pollutant, mainly derived from acid rain, have still been pervasive in public as well as research communities. Considering the significance of rain harvesting in recent society, it is necessary to promote educational efforts to overcome such social prejudices and improve desired values towards rainwater. Thus, this research attempted to develop a teaching-learning program focusing on the theme of rainwater for high school students in Korea. To verify the effectiveness of the program, one group pre/post testing was conducted with 57 students participating in the courses. According to the survey, students show significant differences in both awareness and attitude towards rainwater as well as water after the courses. In conclusion, this study has an implication on developing an effective educational way to improve students' positive recognitions and attitudes regarding rainwater-related issues. Such an educational effort might contribute to sharing the worthiness of preserving rainwater with the future generation and promoting rainwater harvesting within wider public participation.

The algorithm of natural number multiplication is one of the basic topics of elementary school mathematics. Mastery of algorithm and understanding of the principles are important educational aims. In this paper we analyzed elementary school mathematics textbooks of South Korea, the United States, Singapore, Japan. As a result of analysis, we found out that there are much differences in the teaching of multiplication with three numbers, '${\times}10$', and '${\times}tens$'. We suggested some implication for the teaching of algorithm of natural number multiplication.
