The purpose of this study was to identify differences in teachers perception on educational attributes and effectiveness of IPTV according to demographic factors. To investigate possibility of educational application, the participants of the study were teachers selected from IPTV initiative schools in elementary and middle levels nationwide. 55 teachers participated from 22 IPTV model schools nationwide, which were 9 elementary schools, 6 middle schools, 7 high schools. As results of research, there were some significant foundings. In terms of the perception on educational attributes of IPTV, there are explicit perceptional difference between "capital area teachers" and "the other regional teachers". However, there were no significant difference according to school level. Perception of male teachers were more positive than those of female teachers. Also, there were no significant difference according to teaching experience. On the other hand, in terms of the perception on educational effects of IPTV, we could conclude that teachers from metropolitan cities have more negative perception on IPTV than teachers from other kinds of cities have. Regardless of school levels, teachers showed merely fair perception on effectiveness of IPTV. There was significant difference between male teachers and female teachers in perception on educational effectiveness. Also, Results showed no significant differences according to teaching experiences. Future tasks for the development of IPTV strategies require specific need analysis of teachers and collaborative works of policy makers, teachers, researchers, and IPTV service providers.
This study explored the elementary school teachers' experiences while teaching students with low achievement in science based on the grounded theory. In-depth interviews and analysis were conducted on 13 teachers with experiences in teaching students with low achievement in science within the last three years and more than five years of field experience until the theoretical saturation of data on the teaching experiences for students with low achievement in science. The analysis results were as follows. First, the teaching experiences of elementary school teachers for underachievers in science were classified into 119 concepts, 41 subcategories, and 17 categories. Based on the paradigm model, the categories were structured and presented as causal conditions, contextual conditions, intervening conditions, action/interaction strategies and consequences based on the central phenomenon of 'difficulty in teaching students with low achievement in science'. Second, the core category of elementary school teachers' teaching underachievers in science was assumed to be 'overcoming difficulties and teaching underachievers in science'. And according to the properties and dimensions of the core category, teachers who teaching students with low achievement in science were divided into four types: 'compromising-', 'overcoming-', 'accepting-', and 'conflicting-reality type'. Third, a conditional matrix was presented to summarize and integrate the results of this study by classifying the teaching experience of elementary school teachers for underachievers in science into educational providers and educational demanders. On the basis of these findings, educational implications for teaching students with low achievement in science were discussed.

In this study, we investigated the elementary school students' images of science class and the factors influencing their formations. 280 sixth graders were selected from nine elementary schools in Gyeonggi province and Gangwon province and the DASCT-C (Draw-A-Science-Class-Test Checklist) was administered. In addition, four students were individually interviewed in order to investigate their responses deeply. Analyses of the results revealed that the students' images of science class for four science subjects (physics, chemistry, biology, and earth science) were more 'student-centered' than 'teacher-centered' or 'neutral'. The students of the teacher with student-centered image of science class had also more student-centered images than those with teacher-centered images. Many students answered that the main factors affecting their images of science class were the experiences of impressed or funny science classes, the perceptions of wanted science classes, the active science learning experiences, the educational experiences outside the school curriculum, and the negative science learning experiences. Educational implications of these findings are discussed.
Purpose: This study aimed to explore the significance and insights derived from the experiences of pregnant women in Korea who participated in online prenatal education during the COVID-19 pandemic. Methods: This study employed the hermeneutic phenomenology framework developed by Colaizzi. It involved 12 pregnant women who participated in online prenatal education provided by public health centers in Chuncheon, Korea. Data collection was achieved through in-depth interviews conducted in Korea from October 2021 to April 2022. Results: In total, 51 significant statements were extracted from the interview data and then categorized into 10 themes. Finally, three categories were formed by merging similar themes. The three basic categories of participants' experiences of online prenatal education were "feeling of safety and comfort in body and mind," "frustrated by a lack of interaction," and "digital education being a double-edged sword." Pregnant women expressed ambivalence regarding the benefits and drawbacks of the online educational experience. They desired more interactive and practical learning opportunities, even as they appreciated the comfort of learning remotely. Conclusion: This study revealed the phenomenon of online prenatal education as an advanced form of distance-based prenatal education instead of the traditional in-person classroom. To maximize the educational effectiveness of this new format, public health center policies must address the digital literacy gap and enhance accessibility by leveraging the immersive multimedia experiences that online education offers to pregnant women. We recommend that maternal healthcare providers adopt this innovative approach to prenatal education, utilizing distance education technology to improve participation and promote immersion.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the methods applied to educational facilities of Steven Holl's architecture, especially focusing on sensible elements in the public space. Steven Holl has realized distinct space by applying very specific and limited concept. such as perspective space, color, light and shadow, time duration and perception, haptic realm, and proportion & scale. Education facilities designed by Steven Holl, are influenced the sensible aspects of space, form, materials, patterns, and other various sensible elements. Beyond the limits of color and sculptural vocabulary, Steven Holl utilizes a variety of ways which shown in educational facilities design and is identified by the emotional phenomenology of perceptual experience. Various elements in the public space are reinforced through light and materials to make experiential space in the educational facilities. This study used a composition of space that combines various sensible elements, meanings, and senses to examine how Steven Holl's architecture can mediate and reproduce user' emotional experiences and discover the existential relationship between space and user in public space of educational facilities.
The purpose of this study was to investigate critically the existing educational contents and methods on knowledge uncombined with our lives and to explore directions for the integration of educational contents and methods on practical knowledge. For this, firstly, this study selected and analyzed Traditionalism and Progressivism as exclusively opposite approach to education, in particular, the aspect of contents and methods. Next, it explored to define Dewey's activity-based inquiry process. Finally, it showed that the educational contents and methods could not be separated in Dewey's activity-based inquiry process. As a result, educational contents and methods in educational practice were experiences as things integrated. Therefore, knowledge for education has been emphasized as meaningful results that learners have experienced. Once the learners recognize the value and meaning of knowledge, they will be able to internalize the genuine knowledge, moreover they will be self-directed learners. In other words, if learners could discovered their own meaning and value of knowledge in the inquiry process, they have sustainable needs, trying to be involved in the new process based on the knowledge they earned.
