Factors Which Determine the Amount of Private Educational Expenditures of urban Households in Korea: With Special Reference to Extra-class Private Educational Expenditures of General High School Students (도시가계의 사교육비 지출규모의 결정요인 -일반계 고등학생의 과외사교육비를 중심으로-)

  • Relationships between socio-demographic variables and parents' education invest-ment motivation variables and extra-class private education expenditures were examined using a sample of 602 households in Inchon Korea. Tobit analysis was used. Singal-cognitive motivation parents' duty motivation household income housing asset father's occupation class and number of children had significant effects on extra-class private education expenditures on general high school students. To alleviate overspending in extra-class private education diploma pursuing society has to be changed and formal school education need to be properly functioning. Finally parents seek new child education paradigm for the creative labor demand in the next millenium.

  • Education paradigm is moved from traditional face-to-face method to cyber education environment. Therefore, we extracted the components of cyber education system and their detail functions through analysis on the workflow of education and learning standard technology. In addition, we think that template system will make a big role in order to deploy the cyber education system. Therefore, we designed the template system for cyber education. In this paper, we particularly describe both evaluation funrtion on course learning records and statistics function ell evaluation records.

A Study on the Establishment of the World Heritage Interpretation Education System (세계유산해석 교육체계 구축방안 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a method for establishing an educational system for World Heritage interpretation applicable to World Heritage sites and to design an education program for World Heritage interpretation by applying the developed education system in this study. This study first identified the definition of interpretation and the relationship between interpretation and education through previous research and analyzed the role and significance of heritage interpretation due to the paradigm transition in the capacity building of World Heritage sites. Next, the educational status of World Heritage interpretation was analyzed through educational institutions, educational subjects, and curriculum examples. Finally, this study argues that a method for establishing a World Heritage interpretation education system should be presented according to the composition of the curriculum, and the interpretation curriculum planning by interpreters should be proposed focusing on the Outstanding Universal Value (OUV) of World Heritage sites.

  • In engineering education practical experiments is very important for each student, but due to the limitation of time and available resources such as laboratory equipment, space and instructors enough hands-on real experiments could not be provided to all students enrolled in the program throughout the academic year. In this sense web-based remote experiments through internet become a solution for engineering education and an emerging new paradigm for students and teachers. This paper presents the development of the web-based remote vibration experiment system for mechatronics education. Students can access this experimental equipment through an internet and conduct vibration experiment remotely without any restriction on time and place. IP address for data communication and web-service are assigned in local computer and then students receive experimental results and the captured pictures using network. The developed system provides real-time feedback of the tested results. Ubiquitous access to the system gained popularity from students.

  • The study looks for keys to provide development direction of digital textbooks based on educational meaning and roles for increasing satisfaction of teacher and student uses in educational activities. In the paradigm shift toward learner-centered pedagogy, digital textbooks have been actively discussed in exploiting the pedagogical ideas, such as multimedia learning, self-regulated learning, deeper learning, and collaborative learning, offered by the technology. In the study, we discuss the concept and historical background of digital textbooks based on the changes of pedagogical paradigm, and then we discuss fundamental functionality, effectiveness, physical and psychological impact, and cognitive aspects to empower the use of digital textbooks in public education system.

  • Objective: "Nan Jing Hui Zhu Jian Zheng" published in 1923 is a book that 'Jiang Shan-Lei' wrote. He selected the past footnotes about "Nan Jing(難經)" and developed his own medical ideas on its base. Method : We will try to understand on scholarship paradigm of 'Jiang Shan-Lei' focus on his "Nan Jing Hui Zhu Jian Zheng". Result and Conclusion : He introduced the western medicine system to the Chinese medicine education, and he introduced a viewpoint of the human body of the western medicine to the structure of the human body as well. He judged yes or no of the Chinese medicine theory on the base of his human body viewpoint focused on an anatomy and a physiology. His human body viewpoint like this helped prove actually some of the Chinese medicine theory that was explained ideally. However, it had inappropriate aspects in explaining the Chinese medicine, which has a low alteration of a theory by inferring from the principle, due to a changeability of the western medicine theory itself. Moreover, his rash judgement concerning the Chinese medicine theory on its base brought about even side effects hampering efforts which reveal the Chinese medicine essence.

  • The purpose of this study is to explore manpower education plan of green growth industry of SME in Gwangju area. Nowadays, according to the change of green growth paradigm, We need to be the green switching strategy for solving the structural problem and overcoming a crisis in SME. Based on the findings, the study showed that SME in Gwangju area need to build up network of size and industrial classification. Also, green fusion technology grafting on the existing industry and the policy of educating manpower in long term and custom-made plan of educating manpower need to be followed.

  • Background: The industrial revolution that took place in the United Kingdom (UK) between 1760 and 1830 led to profound social change. Occupational medicine was concerned with the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of occupational diseases, that is, diseases directly caused by exposure to workplace hazards. A similar pattern of development has occurred globally. Methods: A review of relevant literature. Results: The international conceptualization and development of occupational health occurred during the 20th century. A new paradigm for occupational health has emerged that extends the classical focus on what might be termed "health risk management" that is, the focus on workplace hazards and risk to health to include the medical aspects of sickness absence and rehabilitation, the support and management of chronic noncommunicable diseases, and workplace health promotion. Conclusion: The future strategic direction for occupational health will be informed by a needs analysis and a consideration of where it should be positioned within future healthcare provision. What are the occupational health workforce implications of the vision for occupational health provision? New challenges and new ways of working will necessitate a review of the competence and capacity of the occupational health workforce, with implications for future workforce planning.

Connection Management Scheme using Mobile Agent System

  • The mobile agent paradigm can be exploited in a variety of ways, ranging from low-level system administration tasks to middle ware to user-level applications. Mobile agents can be useful in building middle-ware services such as active mail systems, distributed collaboration systems, etc. An active mail message is a program that interacts with its recipient using a multimedia interface, and adapts the interaction session based on the recipient's responses. The mobile agent paradigm is well suitable to this type of application, since it can carry a sender-defined session protocol along with the multimedia message. Mobile agent communication is possible via method invocation on virtual references. Agents can make synchronous, one-way, or future-reply type invocations. Multicasting is possible, since agents can be aggregated hierarchically into groups. A simple check-pointing facility has also been implemented. Another proposed solution is to use multi agent computer systems to access, filter, evaluate, and integrate this information. We will present the overall architectural framework, our agent design commitments, and agent architecture to enable the above characteristics. Besides, the each information needed a mobile agent system such as text, graphic, image, audio and video etc, constructed a great capacity multimedia database system. However, they have problems in establishing connections over multiple subnetworks, such as no end-to-end connections, transmission delay due to ATM address resolution, no QoS protocols. We propose a new connection management scheme in the thesis to improve the connection management involved of mobile agent systems.

  • The development of the education system and the labor market today requires new conditions for unification and functioning, the introduction of an innovative culture in the field of Education. The construction of modern management of innovative development of a higher education institution requires consideration of the existing theoretical, methodological and practical planes on which its formation is based. The purpose of the article is to substantiate the modern paradigm of organizing the mechanism of managing the innovative development of higher education institutions. Innovation in education is represented not only by the final product of applying novelty in educational and managerial processes in order to qualitatively improve the subject and objects of management and obtain economic, social, scientific, technical, environmental and other effects, but also by the procedure for their constant updating. The classification of innovations in education is presented. Despite the positive developments in the development of Education, numerous problems remain in this area, which is discussed in the article. The concept of innovative development of higher education institutions is described, which defines the prerequisites, goals, principles, tasks and mechanisms of university development for a long-term period and should be based on the following principles: scientific, flexible, efficient and comprehensive. The role of the motivational component of the mechanism of innovative development of higher education institutions is clarified, which allows at the strategic level to create an innovative culture and motivation of innovative activity of each individual, to make a choice of rational directions for solving problems, at the tactical level - to form motives for innovative activity in the most effective directions, at the operational level - to monitor the formation of a system of motives and incentives, to adjust the directions of motivation. The necessity of the functional component of the mechanism, which consists in determining a set of steps and management decisions aimed at achieving certain goals of innovative development of higher education institutions, is proved. The monitoring component of the mechanism is aimed at developing a special system for collecting, processing, storing and distributing information about the stages of development of higher education institutions, prediction based on the objective data on the dynamics and main trends of its development, and elaboration of recommendations.
