  • Approximately 25% of military establishments became superannuated to unable perform their function, and it influences on the environment by construction wastes and the waste of national budget, as there is no rational and objective standard even though old facilities have been replaced through modernization project. Therefore, it has been searched to introduce industrial building system that can cope with the new building-construction and transference for the improvement of existing military establishments. However, as there is no economical estimation standard for practical use, industrial building-construction is still remaining at the initial stage, and the study is insufficient too. So. in this study, I would like to develope LCC cost model for rational LCC comparative analysis between industrial construction system (Modular) and existing reinforced concrete structure and cage, and to evaluate economical efficiency through case analysis.

  • This study aims to propose an assessment model on environmental economics which will provide useful information in making a decision for the implementation of pro-environmental and economical construction projects. To meet the objective, this study suggests a procedure to estimate environmental cost of construction projects. The model combines environmental load assessment and environmental value assessment. The environmental cost of pollutant generated from the construction project was estimated utilizing the Contingent Valuation Method (CVM) which is a value assessment method borrowed from economic science. The devised model is expected to provide a useful methodology that will scientifically support the planning and management of sustainable construction not only in the environmental aspect but also in the economical aspect.

  • After underground excavation being introduced in dometic, many technologies have been storing up. One of them, measurement, has been recognized as an important item under excavation construction. But, unlike a large-scale construction, it was not been treated importantly at the general small-scale structures with poor ordering and original design was unchanged under construction was normal if the problem didn't occur on monitoring. In this paper, the site which safe and economical management as well as shortening construction period was made effectively using measurement result was introduced. Also, the site which was completed safely with analyzing measurement and reinforcement when unusual symptom happened was introduced. Using measurement result effectively will be able to obtain the safety and prevent unnecessary economical loss.

  • Program management is a concept to deal with huge and complex business activities from social, economical, cultural and environmental points of view and increase their value for client and society. The aim of this study is to establish a framework of program management process and develop a supporting system for program management. In this paper we propose a framework and a proto type supporting system based on case studies and report the result of application to an urban redevelopment using partially implemented software.

  • The curtain wall construction applied on high-rise building facades in Korea became generalized, but specialty of the CMr(Construction Manager) who needs to perform economical project management with specialty in the curtain wall construction is still lacking. Therefore, this study analyzed the structure design standard of the curtain wall, researched economical design alternatives. Based on the research results, if the ratio of dead load against wind load is less than 0.1256, LRFD will be more economical.

현장시험을 통한 기초 말뚝 부마찰력의 특성과 시공관리 (Characteristics of Negative Skin Friction of Foundation Pile and Construction Management by Experimental Field Test)

  • 본 연구에서는 교량기초 말뚝의 부주면마찰력 시험을 통하여 연약지반에 타설된 강관말뚝의 부주면마찰력을 측정하였으며 장기적인 마찰응력의 관측시험을 통하여 경제적인 상부구조물 시공시기를 판단하였다. 본 연구의 결론은 다음과 같다. (1) 연약지반에서 부마착력의 크기는 침하속도가 클수록 크게 나타났다. (2) 마찰력의 관계 그래프에서 마찰응력의 증감이 없는 시기를 확인하여 상부구조물 시공시기를 판단할 수 있었다. (3) 말뚝정재하시험결과와 부주면마찰력 시험결과를 비교해 본 결과 항타 직후의 부주면마찰력은 재하시험 시의 마찰응력보다 크게 나오는 것으로 판단되며 15일 경과후의 측정값은 비슷하게 나오는 것으로 판단되었고, 이론식에 의한 결과와도 비슷하였다. (4) 부주면마찰력의 장기관측기법을 사용하면 부주면마찰력이 발생하고 있는 중이라도 적절한 상부구조물의 시공시기를 파악할 수 있어 경제적인 시공관리가 가능한 것으로 판단된다.

RISK MANAGEMENT IN CIVIL CONSTRUCTION PROJECTS - FROM COST ESTIMATING PERSPECTIVE

  • Construction projects are full of risks. This is particularly the case in civil construction projects that are often featured with large scale, complexity and involving a large number of participating parties. The eventuation of risks typically results in extended project durations leading to an increase in the total project budget. The consequence can be amplified considering the significant impacts of civil construction projects on the society, from economical, environmental and social perspectives. This research investigates the significance of risks within civil construction projects and approaches to deal with risks. Semi-structured interviews were undertaken with local industry practitioners in South Australia on this matter. It is found that the industry is fairly aware of risks associated with civil construction projects and subsequently has procedures in place to attempt to minimize the impacts of these risks on the project outcomes. The interview results also indicate that there is limited utilization of software for the risk management purpose from the cost estimation perspective.

거푸집공사 위험성 평가에 관한 연구 (The Study on the Risk Assesment of Formwork)

  • The object of risk assesment is to prevent the accident from arising. The main reason for risk assesment of construction work is to determine priority order of improvement plan about risky work. Formwork is a complicated process that determines the total duration of apartment construction, and occupies 10∼15% of total construction expense, and 17% of serious accidents occur during formwork. So, formwork occupies very importment roles in work sites, economical efficiency and safety. We need to identify the work type with a high risk of accidents, and to establish suitable safety counterplan and implement intensive safety management.

  • 건설산업에서 폐기물 관리는 환경적${\cdot}$경제적 측면에서 중대한 영향을 미침에도 불구하고, 건설폐기물 관련 통계자료에 의하면 국내 건설폐기물 관리 수준이 상대적으로 낮음을 알 수 있다. 이에 따라 본 연구는 건설폐기물 관리의 요체인 건설폐기물 관리 지침을 고찰하여 문제점을 분석하고, 효과적인 폐기물 관리를 유도하는데 적합한 건설폐기물 관리 지침 개선 방향을 제시하고자 한다. 국내 기존 건설폐기물 관리 지침을 분석한 결과, 폐기물 관리의 목적이 총체적으로 법적인 기준을 벗어나지 않도록 관리하는 데 초점이 맞추어져 있음으로 인해 분석 기준인 "계획, 실행 및 운영, 점검 및 시정조치" 측면에서 효과적인 폐기물 관리 지침으로서의 역할을 다하고 있지 않음을 파악하였다. 또한, 문제점 분석 결과를 기반으로 "계획, 실행 및 운영, 점검 및 시정조치" 측면에서 국내 건설폐기물 관리 지침의 개선 방향을 제시하였다.

  • This paper presents the possible effects and restrictions that may arise in the field of industrial construction due to compliance with relevant construction codes and regulations, as well as the ways they can be favorably handled in the design of industrial buildings. Designs should be based primarily on human design factors, while considering the human as the centre of the work environment. Design parameters should be described as a function of both the physical and psychosocial attributes of a person as well as the technical and economical aspects on the design of industrial construction. This paper is an examination of the connection that exists between design law (codes and regulations) and industrial construction. The relevant construction laws and regulations are described, including standards and codes of practice that designing and supervising engineers are obliged to observe. Possible solutions and consequences of development in the production, constructional, and ergonomic field of design are also discussed.
