FMS 설비와 후속 생산설비의 내부거래 가격에 의한 완충 저장공간 결정 (Buffer Sizing in FMS Environment through Transfer Pricing Mechanism)

  • Transfer pricing mechanism is applied to the problem of input buffer size in the context of interfacing a flexible manufacturing system with multiple following production lines. The size of the input buffers can be determined economically by using non-linear transfer pricing either in a decentralized organization or in a centralized organization. Under the certain conditions, input buffer size determined from this non-linear transfer pricing is more economical than the traditional economic lot size model. The benefit comes from transferring part of FMS' inventory to the following production lines. And this non-linear transfer pricing makes sense if the FMS' unit inventory holding cost is high enough.

Comparative study of factors influencing tension lap splices in reinforced concrete beams

  • The practice of splicing reinforcing bars in reinforced concrete structures to manage insufficient bar length is a common approach, which is mainly due to transportation limitations on bar length. The splicing of reinforcing bars side by side offers a simple and economical solution to the problem of continuity. This paper examines the influence of different structural parameters such as concrete cover, lap splice length, shear links confinement and concrete strength on the lap splices based on an extensive experimental database of laps and anchorage. The current study shows that increasing the lap splices beyond 50Ø has no additional benefit for increasing its strength. The results also show that relative to the measured stress, specimens with larger concrete side covers shows higher splice stress compared to the samples with smaller concrete covers.

  • The industry of cultural digital contents has been regarded as the main next generation industry. Recently techniques for restoring cultural assets and the multiple usage of those have been developed in our country. Using computer graphics and image processing techniques, many cultural assets have been restored. If the focus for researches and supports to cultural assets restoration grows rapidly, we will create cultural and economical added-values and get the benefit of that technology. In this paper, we introduce the techniques for restoring cultural assets focused on computer graphics and image processing techniques.

  • In this study, a new earth retention system has been developed and introduced. This system is a self-supported earth retaining wall without struts. The new earth retention system consists of connected double H-pile and wale. This system provides a larger spacing of support, economical benefit, construction easiness, good performance and safety. This paper explains basic principles and mechanism of self-supported earth retaining wall. In order to investigate applicability and safety of this system, numerical analysis was performed. The finite differential method program, FLAC3D is used. The predicted performances of this system were presented and discussed.

  • A new earth retention system(Innovative Prestressed Wale System) has been developed and introduced. IPR earth retention system provides an economical benefit, construction easiness, good performance and safety. IPS is a prestressed wale by using a steel wire, which provides a high stiffness to resist the earth pressure. In order to investigate the applicability and the safety of new IPS system, field tests were performed. A new IPS system applied in a trench excavation performed successfully. Basic principles and mechanism of IPS system and measure performance were presented and discussed.

  • Noise radiated from pile driving operation is one of major sources of community noise pollution and thus its operation method is strictly restricted by regulations. Although the drilling method is now used been commonly used in urban areas because of its activity, the benefit of low noise decreases due to high working cost. In the present work, noise characteristics of pile driving operation are carried out. Based on the study result, a low-noise pile cap for driven piles is developed in order to satisfy both the noise level restriction and the economical efficiency. Effects of pile cap are investigated by a scale model experiment, which is focused on the variation of impact force and sound pressure level. The results show a good possibility of noise reduction by an appropriately designed pile cap.

  • Food irradiation is beginning to provide a safe, effective, and economical alternative treatment for many food products, especially for the raw food of animal origin. The historical background and wholesomeness of food irradiation were examined. The application and effect of the process were investigated. The cost and benefit of the irradiated poultry meat were evaluated. The effect of irradiation on the poultry meat, poultry products, and microorganisms were reviewed. With the safety of irradiated poultry meat and poultry products established, the future of the process is promissing.

  • 한국의 공역은 매우 제한적이나 공역사용자들이 많고 특히 군기관의 전용 공역이 많이 설정되어 있고 이 전용 구역을 민간항공기가 사용할 수 기회가 매우 제한적이다. 그러나 항공수요가 계속 증가하므로 공역의 활용도를 높혀 항공수요에 적극적으로 대처하기 위하여 관련 사용자들간의 적극적인 협조가 요구되고 있다. 항로 이외의 대부분이 군기관의 군훈련공역과 제한구역인데, 여기서는 민간항공기에게 이 공역에 대한 활용도를 높히는 방법과 그로 인하여 민간항공에 경제적으로 어느 정도의 혜택이 주어지는지를 보여준다.

  • Compositional design and optimization of processing parameters are key factors for controlling and improving the properties of SiC-based electroconductive ceramic composites. Compare economic estimation of SiC ceramic heater with sheathe heater are as followings. (1) Temperature rising time of sheath heater is 1.1 times faster than SiC ceramic heater. (2) Heating insulation of SiC ceramic heater is 2.7 times larger than sheath heater. If SiC ceramic heater is one body type of a product application, contact resistance will decrease. I think that temperature initial rising time is faster than now. The more SiC ceramic heater is used for a long time, the more economic benefit is larger in the view point of heat insulation.

고장력 주인장 철근을 사용한 전단보강이 없는 보의 전단성능에 관한 연구 (Shear Behavior of High-Strength Steel Reinforced Concrete Beams without Stirrups)

  • In these days, High-strength steel prevails throughout the construction fields for the benefit of structural and economical aspects. But high-strength steel is used by the simple calculation of flexural capacities for the purpose of reducing flexural reinforcement. So, this paper is mainly focused on the shear behavior of high-strength steel reinforced concrete beams without stirrups comparing with normal-strength steel reinforced concrete beams. Specimens were made and tested with the experimental parameters, such as steel yield strength, reinforcement ratios and minimum shear reinforcement. The main result was that not only area but also the yield strength of flexural reinforcement should be considered to predict the shear capacities of concrete beams. In addition, the experimental results were simulated by modified compression field theory analysis program, RESPONSE 2000. A good agreement was achieved between the test results and program analyses.
