  • The purpose of this research is to 'know what causes the social isolation felt by marriage immigrant women'. Thus, a total of 253 cases of marriage immigrant women who use Multi-cultural Family Support Center in D city have been analyzed. The findings reveal that the factors influencing the sense of isolation in the social environment, experienced by immigrant women married to Koreans are: social support, family relationships, self-esteem, household income and economic activity. In other words, their strong sense of isolation from society will be lessened when they get more social support, are happy with their family relationships, have their improved self-esteem, earn higher household incomes and don't take part in undesirable economic activities. Based on the research results, this study makes suggestions, on both a political and practical level, to solve the above problem of social isolation faced by marriage immigrant women through their financial stability, desirable economic activities, healthy family relationships, the enhancement of self-esteem and the provision of generous social support for them.

The results of the study are as follows. First, in the evaluation elements for each measurement area, the following are the stable social settlement support policy (1rank), social capability development policy of multi-cultural family second generation (2rank), socio-economic activity policy (3rank), collaborative governance policy enforcement(4rank). Second, the priority of the measurement element is as follows. social settlement service target expansion policy was proved to be the top priority project stable social settlement support policy aspect and social capacity development policies of the second generation of multi-cultural families, social support policy was most important evaluated. Active economic activity support policy was as the top priority project socio-economic activity policy, and construct cooperation system of policy practice main agents was proved to be the top priority collaborative governance policy enforcement. These results will contribute to explain the reality of multi-cultural policy.

  • In order to alleviate the environmental pressure caused by production process of thermal power plants, the application of cleaner production is imperative. To estimate the implementation effects of cleaner production in thermal plants and optimize the strategy duly, it is of great significance to take a comprehensive evaluation for sustainable development. In this paper, a hybrid model that integrated the analytic hierarchy process (AHP) with least squares support vector machine (LSSVM) algorithm optimized by grid search (GS) algorithm is proposed. Based on the establishment of the evaluation index system, AHP is employed to pre-process the data and GS is introduced to optimize the parameters in LSSVM, which can avoid the randomness and inaccuracy of parameters' setting. The results demonstrate that the combined model is able to be employed in the comprehensive evaluation of the cleaner production in the thermal power plants.

Subjects were 301 elementary and junior high 11-and 13-year-olds and their mothers. Instruments were questionnaires from the Children's Emotional Intelligence Scale. Data analysis was by Pearson's r, Cronbach's ${\alpha}$, multiple regression and path analysis. Results showed that the variables that affected emotional recognition directly were age, sex, mother's education, economic status of the home, number of siblings, and emotional support of peers. Variables that affected emotion regulation directly were sex, economic status of the home, emotional support of peers, and common activity. Variables that affected emotional facilitation of thinking directly were age, sex, emotional support of peers, and common activity.

  • Evaluating the sources of economic output is obviously important, and numerous attempts have been made to judge the impact of many different factors on economic output. It is widely accepted that high-technology(HT) is one of the important factors in economic output. This paper empirically explores the impacts of HT exports on economic output using a cross-county analysis based on data from 89 countries for the year 1988-2000. To this end, several versions of the neoclassical growth models, explicitly including HT exports, are estimated. Subject to the appropriate caveats, the results provide further support for several key conclusions of the former studies - investment in physical capital, population growth, and the human capital are important in accounting fer economic output across countries. More importantly, it is concluded that HT exports significantly contribute to economic output. Interestingly, the conclusion is valid f3r developing countries, but not far developed countries.

  • This research attempts to provide an in-depth analysis of the public perceptions of inter-Korean economic cooperation. KDI survey data with a sample size of 1,000 were subjected to empirical analyses. By means of ordered logit estimations, we derive the following results. First, there is a significant effect of age on economic cooperation perceptions, where younger generations tend to be more negative. Second, the group who has positive view on the economic cooperation tends to prefer large-scale, domestic-entity-funded cooperation projects, whereas the group who has negative view tends to prefer small-scale projects and projects funded by international organizations. According to these results, prioritizing trade with the involvement of international organizations is likely to be an effective measure to alleviate potential political constraints and to achieve sustainable long-run economic cooperation systems when pursuing the economic cooperation.
