This study was conducted on 878 retired women in their 50s and 60s across the country using the 7th data from the National Pension Service's KReiS. We used SPSS WIN 18.0, and the analysis results are as follows. First, there were many highly educated people in their 50s or older and those in their 60s and undereducated. Second, families in their 50s had the largest number of members with more than three, while households in their 60s had the largest number of two. Third, both age groups chose themselves and their spouses as responsibilities for preparing for retirement. In addition, more people in their 60s chose the government as their responsibility for preparing for retirement than in their 50s. Both people in their 50s and 60s say they are "not prepared" to prepare for retirement expenses, raising concerns about elderly poverty. Fourth, economic strength, health, and medical care were important for retirement in both age groups as part of their preparations for retirement, and they chose economic strength, health, medical care and job as the things to do in society. Fifth, both people in their 50s and 60s have very low public and private pension subscription rates, requiring special attention from the government and society to their old age. Judging from the above results, both women in their 50s and 60s have retired, but preparations for retirement are very insufficient. Therefore, the government and society need to strengthen the public pension system and create jobs for the elderly.

The results were as follows. The the factors affecting economic preparations for aging of middle-old aged women were education level, subjective health status, a number of adolescent children(14-19), a number of adolescent children(20-39), public pension, financial asset and debt. This study shows how financial education for middle-age affects their remaining life (economic, physical, emotional and social) and improves the way of preparing for their old age through 355 questionnaires using SPSS 18.0, factor analysis, t-test and ANOVA program. The results obtained are summarized as follows: Firstly, The importance of financial education has been differently perceived by the age, marital status, income and religion. Secondly, the necessity for early financial education and retirement preparation have been comprehended by analyzing the effects of the financial education on their old life. Thirdly, Attitude for retirement has affirmative effects on the self respect, economic stability and leisure activity.
This study is intended to figure out determinants affecting the economic preparations for old age of pastors from major four protestant associations having a church ministerial pension system: the General Assembly of Presbyterian Church in Korea (GAPCK), the Presbyterian Church of Korea (PCK), the Presbyterian Church in the Republic of Korea (PROK), and the Korean Methodist Church (KMC). Thereby, it conducted a survey to 452 pastors from the four religious associations in Korea. The followings sum up the results of this research. First, it was shown that the conventional idea that there is no need for pastors to prepare for their old age or their preparations for old age imply disbelief had been diminished. Second, there were few pastors who had made economic preparations for their old age privately. Third, associations adopting a compulsory church ministerial pension system were PCK, PROK, and KMC indicating a high occupation of more than 75% whereas GAPCK with an optional system showed a very low percentage of 11.5%. Fourth, with regard to the national pension system, the associations except for PROK (61.8%) had more non-enrolled pastors (53.3%), and they responded economic difficulty as the biggest reason for the unenrollment. Fourth, determinants affecting their economic preparations for old age were academic career, total income, church independency, church reserving, and national pension enrollment. Fifth, among the pastors from the four associations, the ones of PROK prepared for their old age best in consideration of GAPCK. According to the results of this paper, the most critical determinant affecting pastors' economic preparations for old age was total income. Pastors with higher income can make church ministerial pension, national pension, and private preparations while the ones with lower income cannot afford for public as well as private preparations; that is, there exists a polarization phenomenon in pastors' economic preparations for old age. Therefore, it is necessary to make devices to narrow the income gap between pastors in religious associations. Second, even in the associations having a compulsory church ministerial pension system, many pastors were not insured, so it is needed to reform or improve the pension system. Third, it is also required to better the national pension system and change the recognition on it.

The subjects of this study were 385 baby boomers (1955-1963) living in J city, Chungbuk. Multiple regression analysis was conducted to examine the factors influencing the intention to enter welfare facilities. The results of this study showed that baby boomers' preparation for old age did not have a significant effect on the intention to use the elderly welfare center, and only the economic preparation had a significant effect on the intention to use the senior club, and the emotional preparation had a significant effect on the intention to use the 50+ center and the baby boomer welfare center. Based on the results of this study, policy suggestions are as follows: First, senior clubs need to expand services for employment and start-up that can help prepare for economic retirement. Those variables which point an expenditure the cost of living were education expenditure in all groups of negative wealth perception. This study suggests that women should have positive wealth perception in their lives.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the economic lives of single households with the age of 30 through less than 50. The economic life was examined in three aspects; income, assets, and consumption expenditures and patterns. One hundred sixty single households were surveyed, with questionnaires for 15days from April 1 to April 15 of 2002, and analyzed with descriptive statistics. The results were as follows: about 30.8% of total single households in the sample were in the income group of 1,500,000 thought less than 2,000,000 won. The size of income for the 30's was less than that for the 40's. Compared with male single households, female single households were more in both low and high levels of income. The saving rate tended more or less to be low. The more the age, the higher the saving rate. As for debt, the 40's single households, male single households, high school single households (compared to the 30's single households, female single households, university and graduate single households, respectively) were relatively higher. In general, the single households tended to have debts due to preparation for housing, credit over use. The assets tended to be managed by themselves. The living costs of the female single households was higher or lower than those of the male single households. As for consumption patterns, there was the most in the expenditure allocation for food away from home, then for culture entertainmentㆍsocial life, and for clothing and shoes. The purpose of this study is to check effects on the awareness of parents supporting in their self retirement preparation of the baby boomer generations who have faced relatively bad situation in this era considering the reality of great changes brought in the parents supporting spirit which was regarded as family and individual responsibility due to the rapid industrialization and urbanization. In the result of this study, some points such as religious, living status and monthly average earning show meaningful result and also all of the colligation in the retirement preparation standard concerning economic living life, health life, leisure time, family life, dwelling life and leisure life shows most significance probability of .001(*p<0.05) and retirement preparation standard relative to economic life indicates significance probability of .005(*p<0.05). Eventually this result shows that the higher people have retirement standard, the higher parents supporting sprit they have. So I would like to suggest some policy advices on the basis of this study. First stable supporting policy on their dwelling life should be assisted by differential methods, secondly social programs aid for leisure life through social activities like volunteer work are required, further more national based policy supports for youngsters are considered in order to reduce economic daily life on their economic activities.

This study was conducted on 1,174 retirees in their 50s and 60s nationwide using the 7th data of the National Pension Service's National Elderly Security Panel Survey. We were able to confirm the following results through the SPSS WIN 18.0 program.. First, men showed a higher level of education than women. From these results, it is expected that men will be better prepared for retirement. Second, men had spouses and two or more household members than women. According to previous studies showing that men are better prepared for retirement if they have a spouse, it is expected that men are better prepared for retirement. Second, 38% of men and 62% of women were voluntary retirees. Third, both men and women responded that their own and spouses should play the main role in preparing for retirement. Fourth, both men and women had very low rates of preparation for old age, economic independence, and public and private pensions. Among them, women were lower than men. Fifth, economic problem solving, health, and medical care were the priority as parts to be done for retirement in oneself and society. Based on these results, the directions for preparing retirees for retirement are as follows. First, education on wage peak system, retirement age extension and financial management for involuntary retirees is required, and guidance and management methods on health care and disease should be provided to address needs for health and health care. Women had more voluntary retirees than men, and they need to know why. Second, when both men and women are very poor at preparing for retirement, there should be job creation measures to ensure that they and their spouses are fully prepared for retirement.

The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of family characteristics of the baby boomer generation on the level of their later life preparation. This study randomly sampled a birth cohort between 1955 and 1963 consisting of participants living in Seoul, South Korea with a spouse and a child/children. This study investigated a total of 455 subjects from March 2 to March 20, 2016. The study findings are summarized as follows. This study analyzed the characteristics of baby boomers' family relationships and their effects on their later life preparation. It was found that 55.4% of the subjects had at least 2 children, and 44.6% had 1 child. Concerning their children's marital status, 33.8% had married children and 66.2% had unmarried children. The level of their children's support was found at 2.82 points (standard deviation [SD] = .64), which is slightly higher than the mean value of 2.5. The spouse satisfaction among the subjects was found to be 3.59 (.79) which is higher than the mean value of 3. The general status of later life preparation was 2.70 (SD = .44), which is lower than the mean value of 3. In the sub-dimension, the level of social preparation was 2.98 points (SD = .61); the level of economic preparation was 2.60 (SD = .64); and the level of physical preparation was 2.53 (SD = .45). All the values were lower than the mean value of 3. The overall status of later life preparation of the subjects in this study was low. The physical preparation level was particularly low. To analyze the factors that affect baby boomers' later life preparation, a hierarchical regression analysis was implemented. As a result, a significant effect was found in specific factors, such as spouse satisfaction (${\beta}$ = .32, p < .001), age (${\beta}$ = .26, p < .001), number of children (${\beta}$ = -.18, p <.001), health status (${\beta}$ = .18, p < .001), gender (${\beta}$ = -.11, p < .05), household income (${\beta}$ = .10, p < .05), and children's marital status (${\beta}$ = .10, p < .05). That is, the higher the spousal satisfaction, the older the age, and the lower the number of children, the higher the levels of later life preparation. Further, a higher level of later life preparation was observed in women, those with higher household incomes, and those with married children.
