최근 많은 기업에서 e-mail을 기업의 홍보 및 마케팅 수단으로 활용하고 있다. 하지만 스팸메일로 인해 광고메일의 많은 장점들이 퇴색되고, 커다란 사회문제로까지 여겨지고 있다. 본 연구는 고객의 광고메일에 대한 반응율을 높이기 위해 고객이 선호하는 광고메일의 특성을 파악하고, 기업의 e-mail을 통한 마케팅 수행 시, 효과적인 광고메일의 구성 방안을 제시한다. 연구 결과, 광고메일 구성 시 고객의 반응율을 높이기 위해서는 메일의 제목, 보낸 사람, 컨텐츠, 발송 주기 등을 고려해야 하는 것으로 나타났으며, 선호하는 메일제목의 형태는 대체로 강의나 기사형태인 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 회사명이나 브랜드와 같은 공신력 있는 발신자명을 사용하는 것이 실명이나 e-mail주소를 사용하는 것보다 효과적이며, 컨텐츠의 형태는 비주얼한 형태로 구성하는 것이 일반 텍스트나 HTML형태 보다 효과적인 것으로 나타났다.

최근 암호문을 변경할 수 없다는 안전성(CCS)을 제공하는 공개키 암호 알고리즘에 대한 필요성이 제기되었고, 그에 따른 안전성이 증명 가능한 공개키 암호 방식을 개발하려는 연구가 활발히 진행되고있다. 본 논문에서는 [7]에서 제안한 안전성이 증명 가능한 공개키 암호시스템을 이용하여 안전한 E-mail 어플리케이션을 구현하였다. 구현한 E-mail 어플리케이션은 사용자가 자신이 원하는 공개키 알고리즘, 대칭키 알고리즘, 해쉬 알고리즘 등을 선택하여 사용할 수 있고, 누구나 쉽게 사용할 수 있도록 인터페이스를 구성 하였으며 E-mail과 접목하여 활용 가능하다는 장점이 있다.

Certified E-mail 프로토콜은 공정한 교환(fair exchange)을 보장하기 위하여 신뢰된 제 3자 (Trusted Third Party, TTP)톨 사용한다. 그러므로, Certified E-mail을 사용하는 유저들은 원격지의 TTP를 완전히 신뢰(fully-trust)해야 한다. 만약 TTP가 훼손되거나 유저와 공모하여 악위적인 행동을 한다면 Certified E-mail 프로토콜의 공정성(fairness)은 붕괴된다. 본 논문에서는 Threshold secret sharing을 사용하여 TTP의 신뢰성을 분산시킨 강건한 Certified E-mail 프로토콜을 제안한다. 분산된 TTP(Distributed TTP, DTTP)를 사용하므로써 유저가 공모하는 악위적인(malicious) TTP에 대한 공격을 막을 수 있으며 어느 한 DTTP가 훼손되더라도 전체 프로토콜에 영향을 주지 못한다.

Data of 650 college students in the nation were collected by mail in 2001 Nov. Students preference over cyber communication methods were SMS message, messenger, blog, e-mail in that order. Younger students prefer SMS messages while older students prefer e-mail in relative term. Mobile phone is used more for SMS message than voice communication which is more so with females. The rate of non e-mail use is 57.8%, particularly males(61.9%) and younger students(69.4%) are higher. E-mail, once was very high in use, is being replaced by new media. Suggestion for e-learning environment are being connected, immediacy, active use of blog, more use of fun multimedia information.

Currently, the communication between land and sea using Inmarsat terminal can communicate telephone, telex, fax, e-mail, data transmission. The exist e-mail program between land and sea has developed to reduce communication fee because of high satellite communication coast and low speed. In case of fax service has defect of paper, out-time, high cost. In this paper, we describes the design of fax service system based on Internet for land and sea. This fax system has been integrate e-mail system function and existing fax system function. For this purpose, the hardware module has connect e-mail system and PSTN.

A web based E-mail system consists of serves which supply mail accounts and service, and clients which take part of interfacing with users. The web browsers such as Netscape Navigator and Internet Explorer are the popular clients. Users who cannot afford to get an E-mail id in general mail servers are, therefore, able to reach a e-mailing service in the web environment by using client programs in connection with a mail server. Although the quality of service has been upgraded a lot in recent days, it doesn't provide with satisfactory services anymore. In this paper, we intend to design a mail agent system based on the web environment. Through this system we could reach a convenient user interface based on Internet Explorer and could easily access administratory environment on the basis of NT Server 4.0. Using the service engine dominent in mail agent system, it could provide with convenient user interfacing tools like responding the absence of users, mail filtering and refusing messages, etc. And it would ultimately make possible a constant system security, by preventing system failure phenomena caused by extraordinary uses beyond its capability.

Recently, as computers and networks become popular, distributing information on the Internet is common In our daily life. also, the explosion of the Internet. of wireless digital communication and data exchange on Internet has rapidly changed the way we connect with other people. But, As the data transmitted on network can be easily opened or forged with simple operations. most of existing e-mail system don't have any security on the transmitted information. Thus. security mail system need to provide security including message encryption, content Integrity, message origin authentication, and non-repudiation. In this paper, we design implement secure mail system with non-repudiation service and encryption capability to provide services for certification of delivery and certification of content as well as the basic security services. However, because a data security is not satisfied yet, and E-mail system with security service is essential. In this paper, We implemented the E-mail system with Certification of Delivery that was not provided in prior mail system with basic security services and can prove that sender's document is properly sent to the intended receipt. 인터넷과 E-mail 의 사용자가 증가하게 되면서 대량의 메일을 송수신하는 경우, 메일에 대한 효율적 관리의 문제와 불필요한 메일에 대한 관리의 중요성이 부각되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 -mail 시스템의 첨부파일 형식별 자동분류 에이전트는 메일의 내용을 읽어 Keyword 를 검색, 추출한 뒤 불필요한 메일로 판단되는 경우 자동삭제 시키고 그렇지 않은 경우 카테고리별로 폴더를 생성하여 첨부파일 들을 형식별로 분류 시켜주는 E-mail 시스템의 첨부파일 형식별 자동분류 에이전트를 제안하였다. 수신된 메일을 일일이 확인하고 분류해야만 했던 기존의 시스템과는 달리 본 논문에서 제안하고자 하는 시스템을 이용했을 경우 노력과 시간을 절감하고 불필요한 메일에 의한 저장공간의 낭비감소와 첨부파일을 효과적으로 관리할 수 있다는 장점이 있다.
