A Study on the Development Strategy of Logistics System in E-Commerce in China

  • Purpose - Along with the rapid growth of the economics and IT industry, E-commerce appears as the next potential area of world economics. For this no-entity shops commerce style, logistics is crucial for the success of E-commerce. Research design, data and methodology - In this paper, Dangdang.com, the largest online marketplace in China, is studied and a conceptual model is present, to develop a practical way to develop the logistics system in E-commerce situation. Results - This research finds that following 4 factors are critical success factors for E-commerce logistics: 1) logistics centres are very important to control the inventory management; 2) keep good cooperation with third-party logistics (3PL) can guarantee good quality shipping service and also can reduce delivery costs; 3) build strong information system; 4) quick response system also needed for an efficient logistics system. When E-commerce firms are developing their logistics systems, they should pay more attention to these 4 critical success factors. Conclusions - In summary, successful 3PL management is vital for competing regionally and globally throughout the logistics value chain. We see information system as an enabler in logistics management to get the right products to the right place in the right quantity at the right time and to provide quality services to satisfy the customer's needs.

  • Lack of trust is major reason for many company to take a cautions stance towards business-to-business electronic commerce. Especially innovative business models such as online business-to-business marketplaces face the lack of not only having to give their members and partners faith own capabilities and reliability, but also to ensure that the respective parties interacting through them have trust in each other. This paper is empirical study on the trust factors affecting the repurchase intentions in a B2B e-Marketplace by survey instrument based on Likert-style 5 point measurement scale. The objective of this paper is evaluation of relationship between repurchase intentions and trust. The focus of this paper is the antecedents and consequences of buyer trust in a B2B e-Marketplace, not trust intermediaries or in third parties that might mediate between the buyer and e-Marketplace. The findings of this study are expected to increase the awareness of B2B e-Commerce adopter and implementers about the importance of trust in e-commerce participation.

  • 최근 상거래의 패러다임은 e-커머스, m-커머스, u-커머스의 단계로 발전되고 있으며 많은 기업들이 u-커머스의 도입을 고려하고 있다. 그러나 u-커머스가 정착되기 위해서는 아직 여러 가지 해결 과제가 남아있다. 그 가운데 주요 성공요인을 도출하는 것은 u-커머스 연구에 있어서 중요성이 높은 연구의 하나이다. 특히, 기업운영의 목표인 경영성과와의 관계를 통해 u-커머스가 성공하기 위해서 필요한 요인을 분석해 본다. 본 연구에서는 문헌적 고찰 등을 통하여 u-커머스 구현을 위해 요구되는 주요 성공요인을 정리하고 성공요인을 평가하기 위한 항목을 확정한다. 그리고 다중 회귀분석을 이용하여 u-커머스 성공요인과 경영성과와의 인과관계를 분석한 후 최종적으로 유의한 중요변수가 무엇인지를 도출한다.

  • 기업의 기술수용 및 구현과정은 기술 그 자체가 업무성과를 증대시킬 것이라는 가정 하에 기술구현과 정을 설명한 기존연구와는 달리 본 연구는 신뢰와 지배력이 기업간 전자거래시스템 구현 성공에 미치는 영향을 파악하기 위해 56개의 기업간 전자거래시스템 활용기업을 대상으로 하여 기업간 신뢰와 지배력을 감성적 신뢰, 시스템적 신뢰, 정보기술 지배력, 가치사슬 지배력으로 구분하여 조사하였다. 연구결과 기업간 전자거래시스템이 해당 산업 안에서 성공적으로 구현되기 위해서는 해당 산업영역에 대한 정보기술과 가치사슬 지배력 향상에 노력해야 함을 밝혔다.

  • Gains promised by the introduction of e-commerce back-office systems are not easily realized due to poor technology acceptance, especially in developing countries. This study aims to analyze factors which affect information technology acceptance in developing countries. A research model based on TAM is proposed, and it is empirically tested for the hypotheses of factors which affect the acceptance behavior. The result shows that antecedents such as user training influence the technology acceptance in different ways. This study may help accelerate the adoption of back-office systems in developing countries.

  • Combining collaborative filtering with some other technique is most common in hybrid recommender systems. As many recommended items from collaborative filtering seem to be similar with respect to content, the collaborative-content hybrid system suffers in terms of quality recommendation and recommending new items as well. To alleviate such problem, we have developed a novel method that uses a diversity metric to select the dissimilar items among the recommended items from collaborative filtering, which together with the input when fed into content space let us improve and include new items in the recommendation. We present experimental results on movielens dataset that shows how our approach performs better than simple content-based system and naive hybrid system

  • In order to construct a successful electronic commerce system, three main essential factors must be satisfied to obtain the best effective outcomes. The three main essential factors are as follows : economic factor, effectiveness factor and convenient factor. In order to understand the role of these three factors, one must have some insight knowledge about security to assist him to implement these three factors in his construction of an electronic commerce system. This paper analyses a implementation mechanism of security systems based on the SET 1.0 standard for electronic commerce systems, thus providing an effective plan for the construction of a security system in the SET-based electronic commerce field. This paper helps to analyse the elements of security vulnerabilities in the SET 1.0 standard implementation and also helps to understand the SET 1.0 protocol.

  • Several studies have shown that the trust is a significant barrier for realizing the potential of e-commerce. Trust is not only a short-term issue but also the most significant long-term barrier for realizing the potentials of e-commerce. Because digital contents which have been used in e-commerce are easy to be duplicated, the enforcement of digital copyright protection is an important issue. Watermarking is a technique for labeling digital pictures by hiding secret information in the image. In this paper, a discrete wavelet transform(DWT) based technique for embedding digital watermark into image is proposed. The performance of the proposed watermarking is robust to a variety of signal distortions, such as JPEG and image processing operations.

  • 추천 시스템들은 고객들이 E-Commerce 사이트에서 상품들을 사는 것을 도와주기 위해서 지속적인 증가추세로 사용되었다. 추천시스템들은 다양한 고객들의 선호도에 따라 유사성과 비유사성에 대한 정보의 기초위에서 고객들의 잠재적인 관심 항목들에 대해 개인의 취향에 맞게 추천하는 기술들을 제공한다. 그러나 추천시스템에 많은 관심을 가짐에도 불구하고 그들의 성능에 대한 공개된 기술이나 정보는 매우 제한적이다. 본 논문에서는 과거 고객들의 구매행동, 고객정보, 데이터마이닝의 연관규칙을 이용한 M-Commerce 추천시스템을 설계하고 구현하였다.

  • Purpose As elderly people are increasing rapidly in the world, consumption of elderly people is also increasing. However, there have been only marketing strategies for elder citizens centered on off-line. Therefore, apply marketing strategies to e-commerce suitable for the elderly in the future through online. This research was conducted to propose some marketing strategies relevant to elder people in the e-commerce context. Design/methodology/approach This study, for the preliminary research, firstly implemented the in-depth interviews based on prior studies, through preliminary research and analysis of previous research and then some research questions were set. With the research questions, we conducted a survey for elderly people and empirically validated the research model, testing given hypotheses. Findings Among the seven hypotheses, three hypotheses were supported by data analysis. Based upon the findings of this study, in order to do this, we have established a marketing strategy that utilizes e-commerce for elderly people who have purchasing power according to the principle of market economy.
