Design and Implementation of a Markup Language for Exchanging Telematics Data (텔레매틱스 데이터 교환을 위한 마크업 언어의 설계 및 구현)

  • Telematics services are being widely used recently. However, data sharing is restricted because data representations among telematics severs and terminals are not yet standardized. Moreover, changes of some data items can cause the modification of telematics software. To resolve the problem, we define an XML-based markup language, called tele-XML, for the standard representation of telematics data, and design a framework and related schema for the tele-XML. We also implement API libraries and program modules for the processing of tele-XML documents. By using the proposed representation and processing scheme, the previous problem can be resolved.

  • Workflow management system provides automation of job processes by maintaining shareability on information about various job process schedules and persons related to those schedules. Existing workflow management systems use file or database to store the information generated in those systems. However, file or database system could manage only non-complicated information for the workflow but not the information resources of an enterprise which is complicated and of various formats. Therefore, we need a data management system that could control those information resources. This system should manage the data which are distributed at several places geographically. Information Repository could meet those requirements. Information Repository may integrate, store and manage information resources requested by application systems. We have an international standard for the information repository, Information Resources Dictionary System(IRDS). The IRDS, however, does not support distributed environment. In this paper, we design and implement an information repository based on IRDS that may be operated in distributed environment. We verify that this information repository is more effective and is more effective than any other file or database system.

  • The agro-livestock industry is composed of a complicated supply chain and the customer‘s interest in safety of agro-livestock products is increasing. In order to provide customer with the accurate information about the history of product, and make good use of these information, traceability systems based on RFID technology were implemented and are planned. It is, however, difficult to make the efficient flow of information and to enhance or expand the traceability system because of the lack of the standard of RFID code system. To overcome this problem, we propose a RFID code system for the traceability of argo-livestock products on the basis of ISO/IEC 15459 KKR code system.

The Role of Remittances in Financial Development: Evidence from Nonlinear ARDL and Asymmetric Causality

  • This study's impetus is to explore fresh evidence to answer the question, i.e., whether remittances asymmetrically influence financial development in Bangladesh from 1975 to 2019. The study employs several tests, i.e., nonlinear unit root test, Autoregressive Distributed Lagged (ARDL), NARDL, and asymmetric causality test for establishing the pattern of association. Nonlinear unit root tests confirm that variables follow a nonlinear system of being stationary after the first difference. nonlinearity among variables is investigated by performing the BDS test and nonlinear OLS. Directional causality is investigated through both linear and nonlinear effects of remittance inflows by following the non-granger casualty test. The test statistics of Fpass and tBDM showed the Long-run cointegration in the empirical model and positive effect running from remittances inflow to financial development both in the long-run and short-run. Furthermore, the results of a standard Wald test divulge the presence of long-run and short-run asymmetry. Asymmetry causality test established unidirectional causality due to positive and negative shocks in remittances inflows to Bank-based financial development and feedback hypothesis hold for explaining causality between positive and negative shocks in remittance inflows and Stock-based financial development.

  • Objects such as products, product reviews, and user profiles are important in e-commerce domain. Vector is one of the most widely used object representation scheme. Information of e-commerce objects may be modeled by vectors in which the featured values are assigned to various dimensions. E-commerce objects are in general quantitatively large while some are similar or even same in reality. It Plays, therefore, an important role to measure the similarity between objects. In this paper, we survey the state-of-the -art vector similarity measures. Similarity measures are analyzed to feature the algebraic characteristics and relationship of those, and upon which we classify the related measures accordingly. We then present such features that standard vector similarity measures should convey.

  • HTML5, new standard for web language, is being standardized corresponding to the development of web. Since several new semantic elements have been added into HTML5 standard, current Web Environment is becoming more and more semantic. In order to provide better user experience by using information extraction from HTML5 page, new HTML5 Elements should be mapped to a corresponding Ontology. In this research, we will focus on new semantic elements to build Ontology from HTML5 document. For this purpose, we will propose a methodology of Schema level mapping rule and instance mapping rule.

  • In order to promote software industry, it is essential to train and utilize specialized software human resources in the industry. It is required to establish an appropriate qualification system for the industry in order to train and utilize the qualified human resources. The current national qualification system in the IT area cannot cope with the development of software industry and does not provide various qualifications required to the software workers. We analyze the problems of the current national qualification system for the software industry and propose a framework for improving the qualification system. Based on the review of the software skill standard and a range of technology levels, we suggest a new integrated qualification system that provides a variety of qualifications for various software skills at various levels. Also we propose policy alternatives for institutionalizing the new qualification system.

  • As the use of internet is growing, the amount of information is increasing rapidly and XML that is a standard of the web data has the property of flexibility of data representation. Therefore electronic document systems based on web, such as EDMS (Electronic Document Management System), ebXML (e-business extensible Markup Language), have been adopting XML as the method for exchange and standard of documents. So research on the method which can manage and search structural XML documents in an effective wav is required. In this paper we propose the clustering method based on structural similarity among the many XML documents, using typical structures extracted from each document by sequential pattern mining in pre-clustering process. The proposed algorithm improves the accuracy of clustering by computing cost considering cluster cohesion and inter-cluster similarity.

  • The purpose of this paper is to develop a framework of software cost estimation guidelines and to derive a mid-long term direction for development of the software cost estimation guidelines. In this paper, all the steps in the software life cycle are researched in the view of cost estimation, and current software cost estimation guidelines and models have been reviewed and analysed first. Second, a plan to separate unit cost per function point from standard procedure in current software cost estimation guidelines is presented to strengthen maket self-regulating function as a mid-long term developmental direction for software cost estimation guidelines. Third, construction of cost repository, making standard procedure for software cost estimation guidelines, development of various kinds of software cost estimation models, and a system for experts on software cost estimation are presented as the prerequisites for the future model framework of software cost estimation guidelines. Finally a roadmap for establishing the future model is proposed.

Using Different Method for petroleum Consumption Forecasting, Case Study: Tehran

  • Purpose: Forecasting of petroleum consumption is useful in planning and management of petroleum production and control of air pollution. Research Design, Data and Methodology: ARMA models, sometimes called Box-Jenkins models after the iterative Box-Jenkins methodology usually used to estimate them, are typically applied to auto correlated time series data. Results: Petroleum consumption modeling plays a role key in big urban air pollution planning and management. In this study three models as, MLFF, MLFF with GARCH (1,1) and ARMA(1,1), have been investigated to model the petroleum consumption forecasts. Certain standard statistical parameters were used to evaluate the performance of the models developed in this study. Based upon the results obtained in this study and the consequent comparative analysis, it has been found that the MLFF with GARCH (1,1) have better forecasting results.. Conclusions: Survey of data reveals that deposit of government policies in recent yeas, petroleum consumption rises in Tehran and unfortunately more petroleum use causes to air pollution and bad environmental problems.
