Developing LCMS-Based e-Learning System utilizing Component-Based Development (컴포넌트 기반 개발을 이용한 LCMS 기반의 e-Learning 시스템 개발)

  • Learning Contents Management System(LCMS) manages the contents and the process of teaming by incorporating the both in a flexible system to help learners to be able to utilize them efficiently. The e-Learning comprises all types of educations based on electronic technologies as well as the Web. The existing e-Learning system is a simple information system providing Web based contents, therefore, it cannot support flexibility for both learners and teachers. The core part of the e-Learning system should be a remote education system which creates bilateral response between the learners and teachers, by providing substantial contents based on the LCMS. In this paper, a new e-Learning system is constructed with reusable modules generated by Component-Based software Development(CBD). Furthermore, creates new contents groups and enables to develop learning courses utilizing the Learning Objects. And also, observing the SCORM standard, lecture contents are designed and prepared to support learners Learners are supported to produce profiles which enables themselves to manage, measure, and evaluate their own capabilities, so that they can develop themselves properly in accordance with their levels, build prototypes for self development. Also a system that comprises all these individual components is suggested.

  • Despite steady economic growth of e-learning industry, manpower is lacking in e-learning industry. In this study, We developed a new e-learning business model including open market portal system to solve this problem. The existing e-learning business models required complicated procedure for creating contents. Therefore it took long time and great expense. But in this study we developed the business model with open market portal system, it can support to make easily for e-learning contents. We analysed usefulness our program and other popular programs with thirty lecturers. As a result of survey, usefulness of our system is presented. The study suggests differently the student-centered business model and the lecturer-centered business model than existing e-learning business model had the manufacturing company-centered business model and the services-centered business model. We anticipate the new business model invigorate the e-learning industry.

  • e-business curriculum needs to be developed reflecting requirements of the stakeholder which involve a close relation with a industrial and educational job performed in the field. In this paper, we present a new methodology for developing a market-oriented and stakeholder-led e-business curriculum using quality function deployment(QFD) and conjoint analysis. For this purpose, we analyze the data resulting from the surveyed opinions of respondents working for e-business companies, the interviewed results with professors and students and evaluate the importance of each course being involved in the curriculum with respect to the job classification (e.g.. Web planner. Web master. Web programmer. Web marketer. Web designer), and then. complete a curriculm flow diagram(CFD) considering precedence and relative difficulty among the selected courses. The e-business curriculum developed by the proposed method is useful to provide guidelines for determining courses required toward a desired job and for making a partial amendment of the curriculum.

  • This paper is focused on the e-business level in Kangwon Province by industries, volumes, employees comparing with nation wide survey output, and analysis of the tasks and problems of e-business in environment, infrastructure, process, manpower, effect. Poor level of Kangwon province was identified. It is important that role clarity and cooperation among central goverment, Kangwon province, large enterprises and small and medium enterprises. Local goverment and regional cities and counties should play a centripetal role of the regional enterprises, and faithfully execute the support policies of the central goverment, and make the unique supporting climate of coopration between the university and enterprises in consideration with situations of each regional characteristics. More specifically, there are widening the infrastructure of e-business for regional enterprises, strenthening educatin and public relation of the electronic commerce, supporting and utilizing the electronic ccommerce research center. Also, fund supporting for SOHO is desirable in consideration of the poor Kangwon land and population, and to enhence the electronic commerce technology of the Kangwon enterprises, relative importance of policy of it is incresing. In conclusion, indices of Kangwon province in all areas of the survey is appeared poor. So efficient and effective policies is needed in each central and regional goverment. To promote Kangwon enterprises, investment in e-business commerce should be expanded.

A Study of Success Factors and Profitability of the E-village Shopping Mall Supported by the Korean Government (정부주도의 농촌 정보화마을 전자상거래 모델의 성공요인과 수익성에 대한 연구)

  • In this research, we analyzed the performance of the e-village shopping mall as an online agricultural business platform. The results suggested some critical factors that might assist the e-village owners to increase their sales by implementing the e-village information systems. We hypothesized that IT education, IT usage, online community activity, and organizational knowledge sharing influenced the e-village sales. Moreover, we investigated the moderating effect of rural experience tourism on those independent variables (IT education, IT usage, online community activity, and organizational knowledge sharing). The results indicated that online community activity had a positive effect on the online business sales, while IT education, IT usage, and organizational knowledge sharing showed insignificant effects. Furthermore, the interaction effects between rural experience tourism and both IT education and the IT usage were positive and significant. Thus, we conclude that the rural experience tourism moderated the relationship between (1) IT education and e-village sales, and (2) IT usage and e-village sales, but not the relationship between (1) online community activity and e-village sales, and (2) organizational knowledge sharing and e-village sales.

  • E-learning is the application of e-business technology and services to teaching and learning. It use of new multimedia technologies and Internet to improved the quality of learning by facilitating access to remote resources and services. In this paper, we show a web-based test system, which is carefully designed and implemented based on the real TOEFL CBT. The system consists of a contents delivery mechanism, computer-adaptive test algorithm, and review engine. In this papepr, we describe design and implementing issues of web-based test systems.

  • The e-Learning is one of best ways to generate the substitution effect for classroom learning, and robust and rational distribution structure for e-Learning industry is the key issue for successful educational performance of e-Learning, however the recent e-Learning market has a distribution status quite different from rational structure. This paper focuses on issues of e-Learning distribution status and alternatives for policy making. In order to make this study successful, we discuss about concepts and scopes of e-Learning distribution and various types of distribution structure by business models. We conducted an interview survey for business individual experts for distribution modelling. Based on the result of the survey, this paper describes issues of distribution structure and suggests alternatives for policy making in the Korea e-Learning market.

  • In this research, we study on to find the inter-relation among education service quality and customer satisfaction and re-use focusing on E life-long education center. Education service quality consists of four factors such as training center's facility, trainer, employee's service and operating service. As like the results of this research, we found that three factors of education service quality such as facility, trainer and operating service give a positive effect to customer satisfaction and also we found that customer satisfaction gives a positive effect to re-use.

  • The utilization of Big data in the field of education has spread around the developed countries. However, in Korea, there are only experimental approaches related to Bigdata, yet for the related researches and services to appear. Therefore, it is the situation that needs to understand the reason for poor use of big data in the e-Learning industry, study and seek out alternatives to solve these problems. The result of this study shows that it was investigated that the high level of understanding of Bigdata has recognized large impact on e-Learning of Big Data and the more large-scale sales companies have recognized large impact on e-Learning of Big Data in the e-Learning industry. In conclusion, this study makes a proposal to expand the training and utilization policies of Bigdata relating to different sales scales.

  • In Korea, many local university mathematics faculty knew that the institution faced serious student shortage problems and the restructuring and cut actions for such a mathematics major programs. In general, undergraduate mathematics education in korea is in the crisis. In general, lots of mathematics departments in korea was not prepared for such a severe risk. In this article, university mathematics education and research business are studied in the context of the size of korea-usa population, economy(such as GDP), SCI indices. Korea-usa university mathematics education profile data are presented to compare korea-usa university mathematics education business. Lots of precious data on mathematics education are being helped to prepare for the university mathematics education crisis.
