A Study on E-Marketplace Solution Selection Factors (e-마켓플레이스 솔루션 선정 요인에 관한 연구)

  • In this study, we evaluated degree of importance of e-marketplace solution selection factors. Factor analysis was conducted to find out relationships among various variables which come from literature survey. The result shows that 16(sixteen) -selection variables regarding solution characteristics could be grouped into four areas 'flexibility', 'ease of use', 'security', and 'economy'. And 11(eleven) selection variables regarding to vendor characteristics could be grouped into three areas, 'vendor's support', vendor's general situation', and 'vendor's business accomplishment`. Through various analysis, we found important factors for 3 types of operational companies, buyer-biased, seller biased and neutral. 'Security for data item' was showed as the most important factor for all kind of B2B operational companies. For buyer-biased companies, additional supporting manpower, solution education, and educational cost are shown to be more important factors than others. Place of education, education hours and education level are important for 'Neutral' companies. And the factor 'market share of vendor' are important for 'seller biased' companies.

  • E-marketplace is a kind of B2B e-Business system that supports business transactions among companies. If e-marketplace is revitalized, we expect not only the development of related industry but also decrease of transaction cost among companies. It is necessary for the introduction and revitalization of e-marketplace in tourist industry from this point of view. Participants of tour e-marketplace are tour-related companies(travel agencies, lodging enterprises, shipping enterprises, etc.). Also tourists want to search a variety of tour products or contents. So tour e-marketplace has characteristics of B2C e-Business systems as well as B2B e-Business systems at once. The purpose of this study is to classify success factors that determine characteristics of tour e-marketplace through statistics survey from e-marketplace factors related tourism websites. First of all, we analyze success factors of B2B and B2C e-marketplace. Then we will set up influence factors of tour e-marketplace and conduct a survey about success factors of tour e-marketplace. Therefore, we could expect to find these good attributes in tour e-marketplace success through logistic regression and decision tree analysis from source data.

  • IPTV 기반의 이러닝 마켓플레이스는 IPTV를 통한 이러닝 서비스 제공을 하기 위한 교육 콘텐츠 공급자와 수요자간의 마켓플레이스로써, 이는 양방향 매체 하에서의 이러닝 서비스로써 많은 관심의 대상이 되고 있으며, 방송통신융합의 초기 단계에서 IPTV는 다양한 콘텐츠와 서비스 모델의 개발을 통하여 그 효용성을 높이는데 기여를 할 수 있을 것이다. 본 논문에서는 IPTV기반의 이러닝 마켓플레이스에서 핵심적인 프레임워크를 구성하기 위하여 이러닝, e-마켓플레이스, IPTV에서의 특징과 기존의 이러닝 마켓플레이스들의 기능을 매트릭스를 통한 비교분석으로 기본요소를 추출하고, 이를 통하여 프레임워크를 구성한다. 또한 비즈니스모델 개발을 위하여 비즈니스모델설정, 참여자/역할, 제품/서비스 커버리지, 운영시나리오, 수익모델을 작성하고 이를 통하여 실제적으로 비즈니스모델의 구현이 가능한지를 검증한다.

  • In recent years, the number of public e-Marketplaces have grown according to the leap-frogging advancement of network technology based on open communication architecture named Internet. However, the transaction volume through public e-Marketplaces have been an immaterial increase, and some well-known sites closed their businesses. This study proposes the public e-Marketplace as an e-Business system which has been recognized the most strategic application of business information technologies (Barrett & Konsynski, 1982; Cash & Konsynski, 1985), and suggests some future strategic and technological direction which supports a firm's transaction infrastructure under internet architecture. For this purpose, it reviews evolution of business information technologies.

  • The goals of this research are to look into the logistics systems and to have a thorough grasp on the status of legal systems such as taxation and customs clearance practices and, further, to draw up an interoperable scheme seamlessly linking those two on a national scale. In this research we looked into the business process and related information of border-crossing logistics systems between B2B marketplaces. We also investigated the status of taxation systems and customs clearance practices in order to associate e-marketplaces with one another. We proposed interoperable scheme for seamless linking between B2B e-marketplace based on marketplace repository model.

  • The e-marketplace is a virtual marketplace where buyers and sellers meet in order to conduct transactions through the intermediation of market-makers. For the success of an e-marketplace, it is crucial for the market-maker to induce both buyers and sellers to make active transactions in it. However, their participation is frequently deterred by potential risk factors caused mainly by the inherent, structural complexity of the e-marketplace. Therefore, it is a critical challenge for the market-maker to identify and manage the transactional risk perceived by both the buyers and sellers. In this paper, we investigate the sources of buyers' and sellers' perceived risks and their mitigating factors in the e-marketplace. Specifically, we derive an analysis framework based on the economic theory of agency relationship. The framework includes four sources of the risks(perceived information asymmetry, fears of seller opportunism, fears of buyer opportunism, and concerns about market-maker's role incompleteness) and five mitigators of the risks(website informativeness, trust in market-maker, trust in seller, product diagnosticity, and social presence). Then, we empirically verify the framework through a case study on four successful e-marketplaces, and provide implications and strategies for the market-maker to effectively manage the transactional risks.

  • 전자상거래 시장을 주도하고 있는 525 전자상거래 시장은 인터넷 매체의 고속 성장과 함께 빠른 속도로 발전해 오고 있다. 이러한 상황 가운데 B2B 전자상거래에 참여하는 기업 간에 상호 협동의 거래를 유지하고 기업들의 가격 경쟁력을 높일 수 있는 방안이 필요하게 되었다. 기존 이-마켓플레이스의 경우 이-마켓플레이스 자체에서 대부분의 거래가 이루어짐으로써 이-마켓플레이스에 소속된 입점 업체가 독립성을 가지지 못하고, 입점 업체간의 발전적인 경쟁체제가 형성되지 못해 입점 업체간의 시너지 효과가 부족한 문제점이 있었다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 기업간 전자상거래의 한 형태인 전자부품 이-마켓플레이스를 대상으로 하여 위의 문제점을 해결해 보고자 한다. 전자 부품은 라이프사이클이 짧아 하나의 입점업체가 많은 양의 재고를 가질 경우 불응재고가 많아지는 문제점이 있지만 특성상 다품종 소량이기 때문에 기업간 재고 공유를 통해 불용재고 해소 방지가 가능하다. 따라서 기업간의 재고 공유를 통한 적극적인 영업을 유도하여 가격 경쟁력을 높이고 입점 업체의 독립성을 최대한 제공하여 이-마켓플레이스 전체의 영업에 시너지 효과를 발생시킬 수 있도록 하였다.

Antecedents of Trust and Effects on Committment in B2B e-Marketplace (B2B 마켓플레이스에서 신뢰의 선행요인과 몰입에 미치는 영향)

  • As the interest in the business-to-business(B2B) electronic commerce is increasing, many companies are participating in the B2B e-Marketplaces. The e-Marketplace is defined as the virtual market that many players take part in to transact. The e-Marketplace has an influenced on the manner in which organizational buyers and sellers interact. As a result, it is important to develop an understanding of the behaviors of firms that use these electronic marketplaces. The purpose of this study is to develop a comprehensive model for trust and commitment of B2B e-Marketplace and empirically to examine their structural relationships. Drawing from trust and commitment theory in the interorganizational relationship and B2B electronic commerce context, this study identifies network externality, interactivity, justice, quality of information sharing, institutional assurance as the determinants of trust and commitment of e-Marketplace. The proposed model hypothesized that (1) trust is a function of network externality, interactivity, justice, quality of information sharing, institutional assurance, (2) attitudinal and behavioral commitment is a function of trust, (3) behavioral commitment is a function of attitudinal commitment. The proposed model is tested using organizational-level survey data from 187 buying organizations that conduct business in MRO e-Marketplaces. The data were tested by reliability test, correlation analysis, exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis and covariance structure analysis. The results indicate that (1) trust is influenced by network externality, interactivity, justice, institutional assurance, (2) attitudinal commitment and behavioral commitment is influenced by trust (3) behavioral commitment is influenced by attitudinal commitment. Also, the empirical results confirmed that trust play a strong, central role in determinging e-Marketplace commitment. The key theoretical contribution of this research is that it begins to extend interorganizational information system literature in areas such as B2B Internet e-Marketplace. Managerially, this study contributes tn the understanding of the role of B2B e-Markeplace providers in Internet situation. And Limitations of this study and guidelines for future researches are also discussed.
