The dynamic simulation of machine tools and motion control systems has been widely used for optimization, design verification, control design, etc. There are three main streams in dynamic simulation: structural dynamic analysis based onthe finite element method, dynamic motion analysis based on equations of motion, and control system analysis based on transfer functions. Generally, one of these dynamic simulation methods is chosen and employed for specific purposes. In this study, an integrated dynamic simulation is introduced, in which the structure, motion, and control dynamics are combined together. Commercially well-known software is used in the integrated dynamic simulation: ANSYS, ADAMS, and Matlab/Simulink. Using the integrated dynamic simulation, the dynamics of a magnetic bearing stage is analyzed and the causes of oscillation and noise are identified. A controller design for suppressing a flexible dynamic mode is carried out and verified through the integrated dynamic simulation.

The determination of response characteristics for pressure sensors is routinely limited to static calibration against a deadweight pressure standard. The strength of this method is that the deadweight device is a primary standard used to generate precise pressure. Its weakness lies in the assumption that the static and dynamic responses of the sensor in question are equivalent. Differences in sensor response to static and dynamic events, however, can lead to serious measurement errors. Dynamic techniques are required to calibrate pressure sensors measuring dynamic events in milliseconds. In this paper, a dynamic calibration using negative going dynamic pressure is proposed to determine dynamic pressure response for piezoelectric sensors. Sensitivity and linearity of sensor by the dynamic calibration were compared with those by the static calibration. The uncertainty of calibration results and the goodness of fit test of linear regression analysis were presented. The results show that the dynamic calibration is applicable to determine dynamic pressure response for piezoelectric sensors.
To assess the availability of a nuclear power plant's dynamic systems, it is necessary to consider the impact of dynamic interactions, such as components, software, and operating processes. However, there is currently no simple, easy-to-use tool for assessing the availability of these dynamic systems. The existing method, such as Markov chains, derives an accurate solution but has difficulty in modeling the system. When using conventional fault trees, the reliability of a system with dynamic characteristics cannot be evaluated accurately because the fault trees consider reliability of a specific operating configuration of the system. The dynamic reliability graph with general gates (DRGGG) allows an intuitive modeling similar to the actual system configuration, which can reduce the human errors that can occur during modeling of the target system. However, because the current DRGGG is able to evaluate the dynamic system in terms of only reliability without repair, a new evaluation method that can calculate the availability of the dynamic system with repair is proposed through this study. The proposed method extends the DRGGG by adding the repair condition to the dynamic gates. As a result of comparing the proposed method with Markov chains regarding a simple verification model, it is confirmed that the quantified value converges to the solution.

Beams are often subject to bending-torsion coupled vibration due to mass coupling and/or stiffness coupling. This paper proposes a dynamic analysis method using the exact dynamic element for bending-torsion coupled vibration of general plane beam structures with joints. The exact dynamic element matrix for a bending-torsion coupled beam is derived, and the detailed procedure of using the exact dynamic element matrix is also presented. Three examples are provided for validating and illustrating the proposed method. The numerical study proves the proposed method to be useful for dynamic analysis of bending-torsion coupled beam structures with joints.
In the case of a vibration sensitive equipment, it require a vibration free environment to provide its proper function. Especially, lithography and inspection device, which have sub-nanometer class high accuracy and resolution, have come to necessity for producing more improved Giga Class semi conductor wafers. This high technology equipments require very strict environmental vibration criteria in proportion to the accuracy of the manufacturing. In this paper, the dynamic analysis and modal test were performed to evaluate the dynamic properties of the constructing clean room structure. Based on these results, a structural dynamic modification(SDM) were required to satisfiy the vibration allowable limit for pression machine. Therefore, in order to improve the dynamic stiffness of clean room structure, the VSD system which can control the force applied on structure, were adopted and its utility were proved from dynamic test results of the improved structure after a modification work.

When one build a building that posses Precison production process to be sensitive to vibration and SMD to procuce a large dynamic force, how do one predict & answer vibration control problem at building structure design at first stage, That is a question. It has tried to predict dynamic response and establish answering about global or local dynamic problem in building using experimental and analysis method. One of such a try, it be proposed Semi-Empirial Method that reduce error element of input information about dynamic analysis using dynamic experimental study and measurement data in the basis of real-structure. In this paper, the dynamic response problem about RC-structure building that will be set-up SMD produce large transient dynamic force using Semi-Empirical Method.
The energy dissipation of coal under dynamic loads is a major issue in geomechanics and arising extensive concerns recently. In this study, dynamic loading tests of coal were conducted using a split Hopkinson pressure bar (SHPB) system, the characteristics of dynamic behavior and energy dissipation of coal were analyzed, and the mechanism of energy dissipation was discussed based on the fracture processes of coal under dynamic loads. Experimental results indicate that the energy dissipation of coal under dynamic loads has a positive linear correlation with both incident energy and dynamic compressive strength, and the correlation coefficients between incident energy, dynamic compressive strength and the energy dissipation rate are 0.74 and 0.98, respectively. Theoretical analysis demonstrates that higher level of stress leads to greater energy released during unstable crack propagation, thus resulting in larger energy dissipation rate of coal under dynamic loads. At last, a semi-empirical energy dissipation model is proposed for describing the positive relationship between dissipated energy and stress.

This paper investigates the problem of co-tier interference mitigation for dynamic small- cell networks, in which the load of each small-cell varies with the number of active associated small-cell users (SUs). Due to the fact that most small-cell base stations (SBSs) are deployed in an ad-hoc manner, the problem of reducing co-tier interference caused by dynamic loads in a distributed fashion is quite challenging. First, we propose a new distributed channel allocation method for small-cells with dynamic loads and define a dynamic interference graph. Based on this approach, we formulate the problem as a dynamic interference graph game and prove that the game is a potential game and has at least one pure strategy Nash equilibrium (NE) point. Moreover, we show that the best pure strategy NE point minimizes the expectation of the aggregate dynamic co-tier interference in the small-cell network. A distributed dynamic learning algorithm is then designed to achieve NE of the game, in which each SBS is unaware of the probability distributions of its own and other SBSs' dynamic loads. Simulation results show that the proposed approach can mitigate dynamic co-tier interference effectively and significantly outperform random channel selection.
The research and applications of numerical methods of design optimization on structural dynamic behaviors are presented in this paper. The emphasis is focused on the dynamic design optimization of aerospace structures, particularly those composed of composite laminate and sandwich plates. The methods of design modeling, sensitivity analysis on structural dynamic responses, and the optimization solution approaches are presented. The numerical examples of sensitivity analysis and dynamic structural design optimization are given to demonstrate the effectiveness of the numerical methods.
In this article, the dynamic fracture instability characteristics, including dynamic crack propagation and crack branching, in PMMA brittle solids under dynamic loading are investigated using the discrete element method (DEM) simulations. The microscopic parameters in DEM are first calibrated using the comparison with the previous experimental results not only in the field of qualitative analysis, but also in the field of quantitative analysis. The calibrating process illustrates that the selected microscopic parameters in DEM are suitable to effectively and accurately simulate dynamic fracture process in PMMA brittle solids subjected to dynamic loads. The typical dynamic fracture behaviors of solids under dynamic loading are then reproduced by DEM. Compared with the previous experimental and numerical results, the present numerical results are in good agreement with the existing ones not only in the field of qualitative analysis, but also in the field of quantitative analysis. Furthermore, effects of dynamic loading magnitude, offset distance of the initial crack and initial crack length on dynamic fracture behaviors are numerically discussed.
