Output feedback receding horizon control for uncertain LTV systems

  • In this paper, a robust receding horizon controller for uncertain linear time-varying systems is presented in the dynamic output-feedback form. The existing output-feedback receding horizon controller in the literature is composed of a state observer and a static controller associated with the observer states (similar to LQC control), where the fundamental assumption is that the state observer will supply the exact states as time goes up. The performance of those controllers may be much degraded and even the closed-loop stability may not be guaranteed when the system suffers from disturbances and uncertainties or is time-varying. The proposed controller, which is not necessary to have the state-observer, overcomes such difficulties.   • This paper studies the feasibility of using the nonlinear model predictive control as a formation flight control algorithm for unmanned aerial vehicles. The optimal control inputs for formation flight are calculated through the cost function which incorporates the relative positions of the individual vehicles to maintain a desired formation and also the inequality constraints on inputs and states using the Karush-Kuhn-Tucker conditions. In the nonlinear model predictive control setting, the optimal control inputs are implemented in a receding horizon manner, which is suitable for dealing with dynamic constraints. Numerical simulations are executed for the validation of the proposed scheme.

  • In this paper we have considered a dynamical mathematical model of the sub-populations of potential smokers (non-smokers), smokers, smokers who temporarily quit smoking, smokers who permanently quit smoking and a class of smoking associated illness by introducing time dependent parameters and distributed time delay to acquire smoking habit. Here, we have established some sufficient conditions on the permanence and extinction of the smoking class in the community by using inequality analytical technique. We have introduced some new threshold values $R_0$ and $R^*$ and further obtained that the smoking class in the community will be permanent when $R_0$ > 1 and the smoking class in the community will be going to extinct when $R^*$ < 1. By Lyapunov functional method, we have also obtained some sufficient conditions for global asymptotic stability of this model. Computer simulations are carried out to explain the analytical findings. The aim of the analysis of this model is to identify the parameters of interest for further study, with a view to informing and assisting policy-maker in targeting prevention and treatment resources for maximum effectiveness.

  • In order to react the dynamic behavior of the system more actually, it is necessary to solve the first problem of synchronization for Markovian jump complex network system in practical engineering problem. In this paper, the problem of local stochastic synchronization for Markovian nonlinear coupled neural network system is investigated, including nonlinear coupling terms and mode-dependent delays, that is less restriction to other system. By designing the Lyapunov-Krasovskii functional and applying less conservative inequality, we get a new criterion to ensure local synchronization in mean square for Markovian nonlinear coupled neural network system. The criterion introduced some free matrix variables, which are less conservative. The simulation confirmed the validity of the conclusion.

  • 본 논문은 리튬폴리머 배터리의 잔존충전용량 추정을 위한 비선형 퍼지 $H_{\infty}$ 필터의 설계 방법을 제시한다. 배터리 셀의 동적방정식을 T-S 퍼지시스템으로 모델하고 선형행렬 부등식의 해를 이용하여 퍼지필터를 설계한다. 제시한 퍼지 $H_{\infty}$ 필터의 성능을 입증하기 위하여 UDDS 전류 프로파일을 사용한 실험 데이터를 이용하여 모의실험을 수행하였다.

Takagi-Sugeno Fuzzy Integral Control for Asymmetric Half-Bridge DC/DC Converter

  • In this paper, Takagi-Sugeno (TS) fuzzy integral control is investigated to regulate the output voltage of an asymmetric half-bridge (AHB) DC/DC converter; First, we model the dynamic characteristics of the AHB DC/DC converter with state-space averaging method and small perturbation at an operating point. After introducing an additional integral state of the output regulation error, we obtain the $5^{th}$-order TS fuzzy model of the AHB DC/DC converter. Second, the concept of the parallel distributed compensation is applied to design the fuzzy integral controller, in which the state feedback gains are obtained by solving the linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). Finally, simulation results are presented to show the performance of the considered design method as the output voltage regulator and compared to the results for which the conventional loop gain method is used.

  • We present a state-space approach to design a passivity-based dynamic output feedback control of a finite collection of non-square linear systems. We first determine a squaring gain matrix and an additional dynamics that is connected to the systems in a feedforward way, then a static passivating (i.e. rendering passive) control law is designed. Consequently, the actual feedback controller will be the static control law combined with the feedforward dynamics. A necessary and sufficient condition for the existence of the parallel feedfornward compensator (PFC) is given by the static output feedback fomulation, which enables to utilize linear matrix inequality (LMI). The effectiveness of the proposed method is illustrated by some examples including the systems which can be stabilized by the proprotional-derivative (PD) control law.

  • This paper considers the problem of regulating the output voltage of a current doubler rectified asymmetric half-bridge (CDRAHB) DC/DC converter via fuzzy integral control. First, we model the dynamic characteristics of the CDRAHB converter with the state-space averaging method, and after introducing an additional integral state of the output regulation error, we obtain the Takagi-Sugeno (TS) fuzzy model for the augmented system. Second, the concept of parallel distributed compensation is applied to the design of the TS fuzzy integral controller, in which the state feedback gains are obtained by solving the linear matrix inequalities (LMIs). Finally, numerical simulations of the considered design method are compared to those of the conventional method, in which a compensated error amplifier is designed for the stability of the feedback control loop.

  • In this paper, we propose an efficient control method that can be transformed into a general building control problem for building structure control using these reliability criteria. To facilitate the calculation of controller H∞, an efficient solution method based on Linear Matrix Inequality (LMI) is introduced, namely H∞-based LMI control. In addition, a self-tuning predictive grey fuzzy controller is proposed to solve the problem caused by wrong parameter selection to eliminates the effect of dynamic coupling between degrees of freedom (DOF) in Self-Tuning Fuzzy Controllers. We prove stability using Lyapunov's stability theorem. To check the applicability of the proposed method, the proposed controller is applied and the control characteristics are determined. The simulation assumes system uncertainty in the controller design and emphasizes the use of acceleration feedback as a practical consideration. Simulation results show that the performance of the proposed controller is impressive, stable, and consistent with the performance of LMI-based methods. Therefore, an effective control method is suitable for seismic reinforcement of civil buildings.

외환위기 이후 한국의 근로빈곤 설태에 관한 연구 (A Study on Working Poor in Korea After the Financial Crisis)

  • 본 연구는 한국노동패널조사의 제 1차~6차년도의 자료를 이용하여 근로빈곤(working poor)의 규모 및 특성, 그리고 동태적 이행과정을 분석하고 있다. 분석결과 빈곤가구의 절반 이상이 근로빈곤(working poor)가구이며, 취업자가 있는 가구의 상당수는 빈곤상태에 놓여 있다. 그러나 근로빈곤가구는 빈곤의 진입과 이탈이 매우 활발하고 미취업가구에 비해 빈곤에 빠질 위험성이 낮으며, 빈곤에 빠지더라도 곧장 벗어날 확률이 높다. 가구주의 연령이 높고 저학력일수록 근로빈곤의 위험성이 높은 것으로 추정되고 있다. 또한, 임금근로가구에 비해 자영업가구와 임금 자영업 혼합가구의 근로빈곤 위험성이 높다. 근로빈곤의 해소를 위해 빈곤 취약계층의 능력개발과 좋은 일자리의 창출이 중요하다. 특히 좋은 일자리의 창출은 고용문제의 해결을 위해서뿐만 아니라 소득불평등의 완화를 위해서도 중요하다. 자영업가구에 대한 정책적 관심의 제고와 더불어 근로빈곤계층에 대한 합리적인 사회복지 지원책의 마련도 요구된다.
