압전 작동기를 이용한 새로운 디스펜싱 시스템 설계 (Design of a New Dispensing System Featuring Piezoelectric Actuator)

  • This paper presents a novel type of hybrid dispensing head for IC fabrication and surface mount technology. The proposed mechanism consists of solenoid valve and piezoelectric stack as actuators, and provides positive-displacement and jet dispensing. The positive-displacement dispensing can produce desired adhesive amount without viscosity effect, while the jet dispensing can produce high precision adhesive amount. In order to determine the relationship between required voltage of the piezoelectric actuator and needle displacement, both static and dynamic analysis are undertaken, In addition, finite element analysis is performed in order to find optimal design parameters. Dispensing flow rate and pressure in the chamber are evaluated through fluid dynamic model.

한국인 체형을 가진 보행자와 차량의 충돌 해석 (Analysis of Car-Pedestrian Collisions Using Scaled Korean Dummy Models)

  • According to the pedestrian protection regulations of Europe and Japan, the head injury must not exceed a limitation in the defined test condition for the protection of pedestrians from a vehicle crash. However, it is difficult to evaluate the performance of protection because each regulation has different test conditions such as dummy, impact speed and so on. This circumstance needs the development of a model that describes the anthropometry of the crash victim with a sufficient accuracy. We constructed scaled pedestrian dummies using MADYSCALE. Simulations were performed for various crash speeds and pedestrian postures. The scaled Korean dummies and HybridIII dummies were used to compare the pedestrian dynamic behaviors and head injury criteria during the collision. The HIC values of scaled korean dummies were found to be higher than those of Hybrid III dummies. The impact for gait posture was less than that for standing.

  • This paper proposes dynamic viewing-zone switching for a binocular holographic three-dimensional display with low interpupil crosstalk and an extended eye-motion box. The optimal pupil geometry for reducing interpupil crosstalk is designed. It is shown that the eye-motion box can be extended by exploiting signal replication in the higher-order viewing zone. Design principles and numerical simulations for verification of the binocular holographic head-up display are presented.

Transient Response of The Optimal Taper-Flat Head Slider in Magnetic Storage Devices

  • This paper presents a method to predict the transient characteristic of the air lubricated slider head in a hard disk drive by using optimization technique. The time dependent modified Reynolds equation based on the molecular slip flow approximation equations was used to describe the fluid flow within the air bearing and the implicit finite difference scheme is applied to calculate the pressure distribution under the slider head. The exhaustive search combined with the Broyden-Fletcher-Goldfarb-Shanno method were employed to obtain optimum design variables which are taper angle, rail width and taper length in order to keep the forces and moments acting on the slider head in dynamic equilibrium. The results show that the optimal head slider of the magnetic head has good stability characteristic that can reach the steady state within 0.5 microsecond.

두경부 토모테라피 치료 시 CT scan range에 따른 치료계획의 정확성 평가 (Accuracy evaluation of treatment plan according to CT scan range in Head and Neck Tomotherapy)

  • 목 적: 두경부 토모테라피 치료 시 다양한 이유로 CT scan range가 부족한 상황이 발생한다. CT scan range는 정확한 선량 계산에 영향을 주기 때문에 Re-CT Simulation이 좋지만 환자의 피폭선량 증가와 불편함, 치료일정 변경 등 문제점을 갖는다. 이에 본 저자는 기존 CT scan range에서 Plan setup parameter 변화를 통해 Re-CT Simulation 없이 정확한 치료계획에 필요한 최소한의 CT scan range를 평가해보고자 한다. 대상 및 방법: CT simulator(Discovery CT590 RT, GE, USA)와 In House Head & Neck Phantom을 이용하였고, Target의 끝단에서 0.25~3.0cm까지 0.25cm씩 증가시켜 CT scan range 별 이미지를 획득하였다. Target과 정상 장기를 Head & Neck Phantom에 등록하고 ACCURAY Precision® 이용하여 치료계획을 설계하였다. 처방 선량은 Daily 2.2Gy, 27 Fxs, Total Dose 59.4Gy, Target은 처방 선량의 95~107%, 정상 장기는 SMC Protocol에 맞춰 치료계획을 설계하였다. 동일한 치료계획 조건에서 Field Width(FW)와 Jaw 모드를 고려한 5가지 방법(Fixed-1cm, Fixed-2.5cm, Fixed-5cm, Dynamic-2.5cm Dynamic-5cm)과 2가지 Pitch(0.43, 0.287)의 Plan Setup parameter로 치료계획을 설계하였다. 각 치료계획에 대한 선량 전달의 정확성은 EBT3 film과 RIT(Complete Version 6.7, RIT, USA)를 이용하여 분석하였다. 결 과: Target의 처방 선량과 정상 장기의 견딤선량(Tolerance dose)을 만족한 치료계획(SMC Protocol)은 Fixed-1cm은 0.25cm 이상, Fixed-2.5cm는 0.75cm 이상, Dynamic-2.5cm는 1cm 이상, Fixed-5cm과 Dynamic-5cm인 경우는 1.75cm 이상의 Scan range가 있어야 정확한 치료계획을 할 수 있었다. 선량 전달의 정확성은 RIT로 분석한 결과 SMC Protocol을 만족한 치료계획에서 3% 미만의 오차였다. 결 론: 두경부 토모테라피 치료 시 CT scan range가 부족한 경우 Plan Setup Parameter 중 Field Width(FW)를 조절하여 정확한 치료계획을 설계할 수 있었다. 이에 본 저자가 추천한 Plan Setup Parameter를 CT scan range에 따라 적용하고 Re-CT 여부를 판단한다면 업무의 효율성 및 환자의 피폭선량을 감소시킬 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

정밀저항시리즈 점용접에서 너깃의 대칭성에 미치는 공정변수의 영향 (The Effect of Process Parameter on the Symmetry of Nugget in Micro-resistance Series Spot Welding)

  • The aim of this experiment is to establish the method that obtains symmetrically two nuggets in microresistance series spot welding. The sheets of austenite stainless steel STS304 applied to various electronic parts were experimented by the inverter welding power source of polarity controllable type and by the twin head for left and right electrode force to be controlled separately. The experimental results were obtained as follows : 1) When series spot welding was carried out by DC 1 pulse as welding current with same electrode force at left and right, the asymmetry of nuggets was resulted from the larger nugget of the (-) pole because of the Peltier effect. The dynamic resistance of weld spot at left and right was appeared differently according to the growth of nuggets. 2) When AC 1 cycle by welding power source of polarity controllable type was applied, the nuggets were almost symmetrically formed. 3) In a twin head, if the electrode force of (-) pole was larger than that of (+) pole, the diameters of two nuggets became to same. It was confirmed that the dynamic resistance of (-) pole was decreased to the same level as it of (+) pole. 4) Although the forces of left and right electrode were same, and only DC 1 pulse was applied, symmetric nuggets were obtained if the conductivity of (+) pole was lower than it of (-) pole.

The Effect of Dynamic Neuromuscular Stabilization (DNS) on the Respiratory Function of Subjects with Forward Head Posture (FHP)

  • PURPOSE: The purpose of this study was to apply dynamic neuromuscular stabilization (DNS) to subjects with forward head posture (FHP) and to compare its effects on respiratory function as against the conventional neck stabilization exercise and neck stretching and extensor strengthening exercises. METHODS: The whole-body posture measurement system was used to measure the degree of FHP, and a spirometer and a respiratory gas analyzer were used to measure the respiratory function. After the intervention was completed, the changes over time were analyzed in the DNS group, the neck stabilization exercise group, and the neck stretching and extensor strengthening exercise group. The inter-group difference in the changes was also analyzed. A repeated ANOVA was performed to compare the respiratory function according to the period between the three groups, and the least significant difference (LSD) method was used for the post hoc test. RESULTS: After the 6-week exercise period, respiratory functions, such as forced vital capacity (FVC), forced expiratory volume for 1 second (FEV1), forced expiratory volume for 1 sec/forced vital capacity (FEV1/FVC), maximum oxygen intake (VO2max), and the volume of expired gas (VE), significantly improved according to the period (p < .05), but no inter-group differences were found. CONCLUSION: DNS is an effective training method, and can be applied along with neck stabilization exercise and neck stretching and extensor strengthening exercises, which are widely used in clinical practice, to people with FHP who cannot directly perform neck exercises to improve their respiratory function.

지진하중에 의한 쏘일네일 두부구속효과 (Constrained Effect of Soil Nail Head on the Earthquake Load)

  • 본 연구는 진동대 모형실험기를 이용하여 동하중 재하 시 네일 두부 구속방식에 따른 쏘일네일 보강사면의 거동에 관한 실험을 실시하였다. 진동대 모형실험은 네일 두부의 구속과 비구속조건 등을 변화시키면서 장주기 특성을 지닌 Hachinohe 지진파와 단주기 특성을 지닌 Ofunato 지진파를 적용하여 실험을 실시하였다. 실험으로부터 얻어진 결과를 바탕으로 사면의 파괴유형과 지반 가속도특성, 수직변위 및 수평변위를 비교 분석하였다. 진동대 모형실험을 수행한 결과 단주기파가 장주기파 보다 사면에 미치는 영향이 큰 것으로 나타났고, 네일 두부의 구속이 동하중에 대하여 전단저항력이 크게 발휘하는 것을 알 수 있었다. 또한 쏘일 네일 두부를 구속함으로써 지진하중 작용 시 사면의 안정성이 크게 향상됨을 확인할 수 있었다.

대규모 무선 센서 네트워크에서 계층 기반의 동적 불균형 클러스터링 기법 (A Layer-based Dynamic Unequal Clustering Method in Large Scale Wireless Sensor Networks)

  • 불균형 클러스터링은 클러스터의 크기를 서로 다른 크기로 나누는 방법으로 균형 클러스터링에 비해 핫스팟 문제를 어느 정도 해결할 수 있으므로 전체 네트워크의 에너지 소모량을 줄인다. 본 논문에서는 불균형 클러스터링 모델을 이용하여 계층 기반의 동적 불균형 클러스터링을 제안한다. 이는 라운드별로 최적의 클러스터 수 및 클러스터 헤드 위치를 제공함으로써 전체 네트워크에 대한 에너지 소모를 균형 있게 하고 또한 네트워크 수명을 연장시킨다. 실험을 통하여 제안된 기법이 이전 클러스터링 기법보다 네트워크 수명이 연장되었음을 보였다.
