Purpose: The purpose of this study was to identify the prevalence and risk factors of sleep disturbance among community dwelling adults in Korea. Methods: Data were collected from nine hundred fifty nine adults dwelling in a metropolitan city in Korea. Subjects were older than 45 years, did not take medication for sleep problems on a regular basis, and did not work at night. The Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index was used to collect data about sleep disturbance. Sociodemographic, life style, and health related factors were included as risk factors. Chi square test and logistic stepwise regression were used to identify the risk factors. Results: The prevalence of sleep disturbance was 13.1%. The significant risk factors were being female, age, number of toilet use at night, perceived health, and pain. Risk factors were somewhat different by gender. Emotional and job status were the risk factors only for men and menopausal status were for women. Conclusion: Prevalence of sleep disturbance in community dwelling adults in Korea was not greater than those dwelling in other countries. Females, older adults, the number of toilet use at night, perceived health, and pain were the most important risk factors for sleep disturbances. Gender was a factor in reported sleep disturbances. It might be useful to investigate the factors that contribute to the number of toilet use at night as this might have some underlying factors that could be corrected.
The purpose of this study is to present the dwelling space by attaching or inserting the mobile space unit to the fixed building by providing the temporary dwelling space for those suffering from flood disaster, natural disaster or solitary old people or the space and program that the completed building in the city can not provide such as temporary events in the bridge, passage space, walking space for the handicapped, stores located between street blocks, and plaza. Therefore, this study was intended to investigate temporary dwelling space through the composition of space and the experiment of the applicability of the program through the methods of movement, folding, module, expansion and evolution of mobile space. An attempt was made to apply the concept of ‘mobile space’ to the dwelling space not only with a focus on the freedom of variable and changeable physical movement but also with a focus on the existence of the nomad and the way of thinking that bleaks away from a given value system and code, creates a new value and continues to move to a new domain. This study attempted to analyze how the concept of ‘mobile space’ has been developed in what form and method they have been applied and interpreted in the historical background. It attempted to resolve the concepts of movement and mobility through the experiment so that they might apply to the space of contemporary city. This study attempted to experiment this possibility using the mobile space unit and apply it.
The purpose of this study was to identify predictive factors of successful aging and to determine mediating effect of transcendence between successful aging and influencing factors of community-dwelling elders in Korea. 162 elders were participated in this study who visited seniors welfare center and senior citizen center. Data were analyzed by PASW 18.0 for t-test, Pearson's correlation coefficients and hierarchical regression analysis. Transcendence, parent-child relationship, depression, spirituality and perceived economic status were statistically significant influencing factors, explained 77% of successful aging in community-dwelling elderly. The mediating role of transcendence was identified about parent-child relationship, depression, spirituality and perceived economic condition. The study findings demonstrated that transcendence was significant variable affecting successful aging. The variables affecting successful aging such as transcendence, parent-child relationship, depression, spirituality, perceived economic status can be utilized for nursing strategies to successful aging in community-dwelling elders.
The purpose of this thesis is a searching out the characteristics of Japanese dwellings implanted into Korea in the time of the rule of Japanese imperialism and its influences on Korean modern dwellings especially in the time of 1930's. At the early stage of the colonial time($1905{\sim}1919$), the central corridor type Japanese dwellings were implanted into Korea for the Japanese official residences. The central corridor type Japanese dwelling was an urban modern dwelling compromised between Japanese style and western style and distinguished by an outer-court type plan, Japanese entrance hall, central corridor and western style reception room. After the 1920's the central corridor type Japanese dwellings have spreaded itself and became a prototype of a modern dwelling in Korea. The characteristics of the central corridor type Japanese dwellings have influenced on the Korean high class dwellings and Korean architects' proposals for modern dwelling in the time of 1930's. By the implantation and spread of the central corridor type Japanese dwellings, Korean modern dwellings at the same time have affected and undergone transformation. The aspects of transformation were ; The outbreaking of the Japanese style entrance and central corridor, the transformation of MaDang from the inner court with a function of circulation into the outer court garden with plants and the transformation of Korean dwellings from the rural inner court type into the urban outer court type. The central corridor type Japanese dwellings implanted into Korea in the time of the rule of Japanese imperialism makes function as a precedent of a modern urban dwelling to Korean and makes Korean dwellings transform from the rural inner court type into the urban outer court type.

The purpose of this study is to deduce dwelling selection criterion and to consider change of values and consciousness of dwelling on people who return to farming & going to village. For that, questionnaire of evaluation of housing choice is conducted by people who return to farming & going to village in Jellanam-do by the AHP. The results are as follows. First, four factors as the primary hierarchy structure and 12 factors as the secondary hierarchy structure of dwelling selection criterion are deduced. The primary hierarchy are "education environment", "economic & Convenience in life", "residence safety and image", and "economic value". Second, weight value deduced from the primary hierarchy structure is showed that "economic & convenience in life(0.345)" is the highest and next is "education environment(0.262)". "Residence safety and image(0.237)", and e "economic value(0.157)" is relatively low(C.I. 0.213). Third, for the secondary hierarchy structure, the case of life convenience is showed that economic condition(0.403) is the highest, the case of educational condition is showed that education facilities(0.479), the case of residence safety and image is showed that residence area(0.490) is the highest, and the case of economic importance is showed that financial technology(0.470) is the highest.

In 2004. as a part of special housing policy for low income household, Korean government initiated 'Multiple-dwelling Purchase and Public Rental Program'(MDPPRP) to help people whose needs for appropriate housing cannot be met in private housing market. The main goal of this program was to provide the base for self support of tenants by purchasing 'Multiple-housing' in bundle and transferring them into rental housing with low price to the low income tenants. Unlike other public rental housing programs, this model program limited the length of stay in the rental housing by six years to lead tenant's self support. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effectiveness of this model program for further expanding enforcement. For this, two groups of residents of 'multiple-dwelling purchase and public rental program' and permanent rental housing were compared and analyzed. Thirty two tenants of MDPPRP were interviewed for the study. As research methods, document review, onsite tenant interviews using questionnaire were used. As a whole, most of the tenants were satisfied with their 'multiple-dwelling' environment in physical and socio-psychological aspects.
The purpose of this study was to investigate the effects of family cohesion and self-care agency on the quality of life in community-dwelling elderly. Using a descriptive survey design, data were collected during September 2-20, 2016 by distributing questionnaires to and retrieving them from 197 elderly participants aged 65 years or older in two senior welfare centers located in "B" metropolitan city. Results showed that family cohesion of community-dwelling elderly was significantly positively correlated with their self-care agency (r=.434, p<.001) and quality of life (r=.544, p<.001), while self-care agency was significantly positively correlated with quality of life (r=.571, p<.001). The factors that had the biggest effect on the quality of life in community-dwelling elderly were identified in the order of self-care agency (${\beta}=0.413$, p<.001) and family cohesiveness (${\beta}=0.365$, p<.001). These variables were found to have an explanatory power of 42.8% for quality of life (F=74.31, p<.001). Therefore, a strategy to improve self-care agency and family cohesion may be helpful in improving the quality of life in community-dwelling elderly.

The purpose of this study was to explore the influence of the topography and the neighborhood facility on the aged people's social network formation. The paper samples the aged people living in Changchun city located in a flat ground and Tonghua city located in a mountain region. Four selections of dwelling districts from the two cities are based on amount of the facilities maintaining the wealth and living area same to do the questionnaires. One hundred aged people are selected in the each dwelling district to fill out the questionnaires, and 386 valid questionnaires are finally obtained. The data obtained from the questionnaires are used to do some statistic analysis by using SPSS24.0 program. The results are shown as following: In the case of same amount of neighborhood facility for dwelling district, the aged people living in a flat ground use the facility more frequently and communicate more often with their friends and neighbors than the aged people living in a mountain region do, the social network forms more easily as well. In the other case of same topography dwelling districts, the aged people living in an abundant facility dwelling district use the facility more frequently and communicate more with their neighbors and friends than the aged people living in a mountain region do, so the social network forms more easily as well. Thus it can be seen that topography and amount of facility are significant influence factors of the aged social network formation.

Background and Objective: The use of potentially inappropriate medications (PIMs) increases the risk of negative health outcomes, including drug-related admissions. Tools for structured medication review have been developed to ensure optimal medication use and safety. Here, we aimed to evaluate medication use review (MUR) tools for community-dwelling older patients. Methods: We performed a systematic review of the literature according to the Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses Statement (PRISMA). We searched PubMed, Embase, and the Cochrane Library from 1991 to 2020, excluding tools that are specifically applied to hospitalized patients or nursing home residents. We identified the most common inappropriate medications, drug-disease interactions, drug-drug interactions and prescribing omissions presented among tools. Results: From among 9,788 identified reports screened, 60 met our inclusion criteria; finally, 27 were eligible for data analysis considering originality and up-to-dateness. Most tools presented explicit criteria (93%), and only one was specific to community-dwelling elderly. The most common PIM was tricyclic antidepressants. Use of diltiazem and verapamil in patients with heart failure and the combination of nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory analgesics and warfarin were the most frequent disease-specific PIM and drug-interaction, respectively. Conclusions: Although several medication review tools have been developed for older adults, specific guidelines for community-dwelling populations remain limited. Furthermore, the list of PIMs differed among available tools. In future, specific but integrating MUR tools need to be developed for clinical practice considering this population.

The purpose of this study is to identify the change of geographical (or geomorphological) location environment of the dwelling site and its cause in Daejon Basin during transition from the Bronze Age to the Proto Three Kingdoms Period. In order to achieve this goal, it was divided into (1) 'comparison of the total number of dwelling sites of a group of remains (or high-density dwelling remains)' and (2) 'comparison of the total number of dwelling sites in certain remains including locations of dwelling of two periods' and location environment was compared to each other in aspects of altitude, gradient, 'distance from the river of water available for use' and 'the difference between the highest altitude and lowest altitude of river bed of water available for use' based on change of period. The results were as follows: 1. looking at a change of individual factors, the altitude was elevated and the gradient was increased. The distance from the river of water available for use was decreased or increased in case of 'small scale river' and it was very little difference or increased in case of 'medium scale river'. The difference between the highest altitude and lowest altitude of river bed of water available for use was increased in case of 'small scale river' and it was increased or decreased in case of 'medium scale river'. If comparing the individual factors to each other, the increase and decrease of altitude, gradient and the difference between the highest altitude and lowest altitude of river bed of water available for use have the similar pattern. Especially, it was shown that the increase of gradient affected the increase of altitude and the difference between the highest altitude and lowest altitude of river bed of water available for use. In addition, it was shown that the increase and decrease of distance from the river of water available for use had the different pattern from those of altitude, gradient and 'the difference between the highest altitude and lowest altitude of river bed of water available for use'. 3. With above results, it was thought that combination of micro landform characteristics (eg. Characteristics of gradient) of low hills distributed within Daejeon Basin and rich aquatic environment surrounding the low hills affected the selection of location of dwelling sites at the time. Especially, it was shown that 'gradient and distance from the river of water available for use' were relatively more important factors for the inhabitants at the time to select the location of dwelling sites compared to 'altitude and difference between the highest altitude and lowest altitude of river bed of water available for use' upon selecting the location of dwelling.
