Experimental Study on the Conventional Spinnability of Steel Sheets (강판재의 보통 스피닝에 대한 성형성 연구)

  • This study is related with the development of CNC spinning machine and the axisymmetric conventional spinning such as drum type and conical type steel shells. The CNC spinning machine is constructed with heavy duty frame and the hydraulic servo system is applied in order to give the exactness of motion control. The experiment has been carried out considering feeding velocity, mandrel shape, and the corner radius of mandrel and forming rollers. As a result of experiment, the limiting spinning ratio and thickness strain distribution are obtained and it can be seen that the spinnability is dominant to the feeding velocity and corner radius of forming roller. This research can contribute to the development of axisymmetric mechanical part which is applicable to automotive and aerospace industry.

  • This paper proposes a constant frequency controlled forward zero voltage switching multi resonant converter (ZVS-MRC) which operates with a fixed duty ratio. The proposed converter is obtained from a conventional forward ZVS-MRC by placing a saturable core in parallel with the secondary side of the transformer. Experimental results are presented for a proposed converter which operates at 1.5MHz switching frequency with an output power of 50W (5V/10A). The merits of the proposed converter include ; 1) reduced voltage stress to the main switch compared with the conventional counterpart, 2) ease on designing the magnetic components including EMI and output filter, and 3) simple control scheme.

  • The function of IRCM(Infrared Countermeasures) jamming is to cause the missile to miss its intended target by disturbing the seeker tracking process. This paper analyzes the jamming effect of IRCM jamming for a stationary reticle seeker. The phase error containing the azimuth angle information of target is analyzed for the intensity, frequency and duty ratio variation of the jammer pulse signal. We confirmed that the more the jammer frequency is similar to the spinning frequency of the stationary seeker, the more jamming effect is high.

  • This paper presents a bidirectional pulse power electrochemical etching system for groove manufacturing of the dynamic bearings. To manufacture the dynamic bearing for the groove, it is very important to consider the depth and roughness. If the precision of the groove is not exact, we can not get the desirable performance for the target of the dynamic bearing. To make the groove of bearing precise, we propose the method of electrochemical etching system. In order to design the depth and roughness exactly, the bidirectional pulse power converter is proposed. With the bidirectional pulse power converter, we obtain the condition and the parameters of converter such as frequency, duty ratio, time, temperature, velocity, pressure and so on. In this paper, we get the experimental results to verify the precise groove manufacturing.

  • Resonant converters have several salient features such as high efficiency and low noise. Therefore, ZVS-PWM controlled series resonant converter with active-clamp technique is presented. The combination of an active-clamp technique and resonant circuit makes it possible to control the output voltage of the resonant converter with PWM. This new resonant converter was implemented and has achieved a good controllability. In this paper, the normal load characteristics and abnormal voltage increase in the case of the light load are analyzed. As a result, it is clarified that the stray capacitance of the transformer is a cause of the abnormal voltage increase. Then, it is confirmed that the abnormal voltage increase is suppressed by decreasing the duty ratio. ZVS condition is analyzed. The maximum efficiency of 89% is obtained for the output of 10V and 5A.

  • The neural network can roughly be classified as the specialized control, indirect control and general schemes. Neural network is adopted for MPPT of solar array. And back propagation algorithm also is used to train neural network controller. We investigate the possibilities of $P_{max}$ control using the neural networks, and then we also examine about operating the solar cell at an optimal voltage comprise of temperature compensated voltage with boost converter. Proposed boost converter of MPPT system is studied by simulation and is implemented by using a microprocessor(80c196kc) which controls duty ratio of the boost converter.

  • In this paper, RSF+RPP(Random Switching Frequency Ran-domized Pulse Position) PWM for three-phase voltage-controlled inverter is proposed. The LLPWM(Lead-Lag PWM) technique is that three switching pulses are located randomly back and forth in each switching interval But with the restriction of random distribution, the harmonic spectrum cannot be dispersedly and continuously distributed.   • This paper describes a output power control of magnetron for microwave oven. Magnetron is used extensively in household microwave oven and industrial microwave heating devices it is operated by 3000[V]~5000[V] dc high voltage. Power supply for driving magnetron is consisted of a bridge rectifier. HB(half bridge) inverter, full wave rectifier and gate drive circuit. In proposed system. we confirm that line input power can be controlled extensively and linearly to 24.56[%] by change of duty ratio of inverter through a experiment.

  • Due to the high power to weight ratio and fast response under heavy load, the hydraulic systems are still applied to the development of many industrial facilities such as heavy duty construction vehicles, aerospace/military weapon actuating systems and motion simulators. Unlike the other actuators, single-rod hydraulic cylinder exhibits a lot different dynamic characteristics between the extending and retracting stroke because of the difference in pressure acting areas. In this research, in order to overcome this nonlinear feature, $H_{\infty}$ optimal controller was designed and implemented with DSP board that was specifically developed for the experiment. From the experimental result, we could confirm that the overall performance of single-rod hydraulic servo system is similar with the results as we expected in the design stage.

  • In micro electrochemical machining (micro ECM), machining conditions have been determined to maintain a small side gap and to machine a workpiece stably However, machining speed is slow. To improve machining speed while maintaining the form accuracy, the paper investigates machining parameters such as pulse amplitude, duty ratio, pulse on-time, and the electrolyte's temperature and concentration. The experiment in this study shows that the electrolyte's concentration is the key factor that can reduce machining time while maintaining the form accuracy Micro square columns were fabricated to confirm the machining parameters' effects.
