In land navigation applications, two kinds of GPS/DR integration schemes are commonly used; the loosely-coupled integration scheme and the tightly-coupled one. The loosely-coupled integration filter has a simple structure and is easy to implement. When the number of visible satellites is insufficient, however, it cannot calibrate the errors of the DR sensors. On the contrary the tigthly-coupled integration filter can sup-press the growth of the error in the DR output even when the visibility is poor. However, it has larger com-putation load due to the state dimension and is inconsistent because of the variation in the measurement dimension. This paper presents a GPS/DR integration scheme with dual integration mode. During when the number of visible satellites is sufficient, the proposed scheme operates in a loosely-coupled integration mode. When the visibility becomes poor, it is switched into a tightly-coupled integration mode. Consequently, the pro-posed scheme can calibrate the DR sensors even when the visibility is poor. In addition, its computation time remains constant even if the number of visible satellites increases. Field experiment results show that the performance of the proposed integration method is almost similar to that of the tightly-coupled one.

A GNSS(Global Navigation Satellite System) using GPS provides us with very useful information concerning the positioning of users in many sectors such as transportation, social services, the justice system and customs services, public works, search and rescue systems and leisure. A GNSS using the Galileo satellite is due to work in 2008 and expected to be used in various fields such as aviation, marine transportation, land surveying, resources development precise agriculture, telemetics, and so on. In this paper, we discuss the implementation and testing of a combined GPS/Galileo receiver which we named KSTAR V1.0. Each tracking module of GPS/Galileo dual mode correlator has the five track arms which consist of Very Early code, Early code, Prompt code, late code, and Very late code. Each of 24 tracking modules can be assigned to GPS and/or Galileo signal by changing mode selection register. The basic correlator integration dump period is set to 1ms for GPS C/A code and fast Galileo signal tracking. The performance of the developed combined GPS/Galileo receiver was tested and evaluated using the IF (Intermediated Frequency)-level GPS/Galileo signal generator.

The cdma2000 mobile network covers a wide area but its characteristics are high cost and low bandwidth. On the other hand, WLAN covers a small area like a hot spot area but its characteristics are large bandwidth and low cost. Thus we can provide efficient services when we employ an integration network between WLAN and cdma2000 mobile networks. In this paper, we propose an integration scheme between WLAN and cdma2000 mobile networks. In addition, we design and implement the dual mode terminal which receives seamless data services in the integrated network. The proposed dual mode terminal manages connections by monitoring the signal strength of WLAN and selecting a proper network. We validate the functions through the implementation of VOD and show the effectiveness through the performance measurement.

A technical analysis of current scramjet and combined-cycle engine is presented. Substantial research has been pursued to characterize the operation mechanism of scramjet propulsion, especially in the areas of flame stabilization and system integration, dramatically over the years in support of both military and space access application. Major technology that had significant impact on the maturation of scramjet propulsion technology are dual combustion ramjet, dual mode ramjet, and combined cycle engine to cover a typical wide rage of flight, up to flight Mach number 10. Notable are the fundamental and practical techniques, for instance, scram propulsion itself, thermal relaxation and protection using endothermic fuel and/or CSiC composit materials, and design/manufacture of movable intake and nozzle, to realize high speed propulsion system in near future.

The Ku band that has been using for the satellite communication and broadcasting would be changed to K/Ka bands. The satellite system requires the antenna structure to fabricate low loss and small antenna that is able to be integrated with other Rf circuits for both Rx and Tx. So we should design it with dual feed antennas at K/Ka bands, high isolation between two different feeds and broadband circular polarization. This paper proposes the LTCC(Low Temperature Co-fired Ceramic) process for integration with other Rf circuits and the Axial mode of the helical antenna to satisfy those requirements.

This paper presents a compact bluetooth/WiFi dual-mode dual-band RF front-end module(FEM) is realized by low temperature co-fired ceramic(LTCC) technology. The proposed RF front-end module consists of a diplexer, baluns in the LTCC substrate, and an SPDT switch, an SP3T switch on the LTCC substrate. In order to reduce the module size and increase integration level, the proposed diplexer and balun are designed using LC lumped elements. The parasitic elements caused by coupling effect between metal pattern layers and ground plane layer are considered during the design. The fabricated dual-mode RF front-end module has 13 pattern layers including three inner ground layers and it occupies less than $3.0mm{\times}3.7mm{\times}0.66mm$.
Nonlinear normal mode (NNM) vibration, in a nonlinear dual mass Hamiltonian system, which has 6$\^$th/ order homogeneous polynomial as a nonlinear term, is studied in this paper. The existence, bifurcation, and the orbital stability of periodic motions are to be studied in the phase space. In order to find the analytic expression of the invariant curves in the Poincare Map, which is a mapping of a phase trajectory onto 2 dimensional surface in 4 dimensional phase space, Whittaker's Adelphic Integral, instead of the direct integration of the equations of motion or the Birkhoff-Gustavson (B-G) canonical transformation, is derived for small value of energy. It is revealed that the integral of motion by Adelphic Integral is essentially consistent with the one obtained from the B-G transformation method. The resulting expression of the invariant curves can be used for analyzing the behavior of NNM vibration in the Poincare Map.

The satellite networks provide global coverage. The integration of terrestrial networks with a satellite network is the most attractive approach to develop a global communication system. The IP Multimedia Subsystem (IMS) is intended to be the system that will merge the internet with the telecom world. A user with a dual-mode terminal can access both the satellite network and terrestrial network. The seamless handoff between two networks and a user's QoS level is the major issue concerning this integration. In this paper, we propose IMS-based satellite/terrestrial integrated network architecture for a global communication system. Based on the proposed architecture, an inter-network handoff and end-to-end soft QoS procedure is discussed. Our proposed soft QoS scheme is also analyzed to calculate the number of rejected calls.
The problem of a semi-infinite magneto-electro-elastically impermeable mode-III crack in a magneto-electro-elastic material is considered under the action of impact loads. For the case when a pair of concentrated anti-plane shear impacts, electric displacement and magnetic induction impacts are exerted symmetrically on the upper and lower surfaces of the crack, the magneto-electro-elastic field ahead of the crack tip is determined in explicit form. The dynamic intensity factors and dynamic energy density factor are obtained. The method adopted is to reduce the mixed initial-boundary value problem, by using the Laplace and Fourier transforms, into three simultaneous dual integral equations, one of which is converted into an Abel's integral equation and the others into a singular integral equation with Cauchy kernel. Based on the obtained fundamental solutions of point impact loads, the solutions of two kinds of different loading cases are evaluated by integration. For some particular cases, the present results reduce to the previous results.
