  • This paper describes a novel method of detecting excitation position in switched reluctance motor(SRM) drive. Some strategies of position sensorless control methods for the motor include the measurement of phase current and applied pulse voltage in an unexcited phase is suggested. The principle of the estimation of a rotor position is based on the detection of inductance by pulse currents. This sensorless method is very simple to detect excitation position estimation and gives efficient control of drive system. Suggested method is verified by some simulations.

  • In this paper, We introduce an embedding driven synchronization method using SC-CNN(State-Controlled Cellular Neural Network) which has the purpose to secure communication method through the embedding driven synchronization method in the SC-CNN. we proposed new embedding driven synchronization that this method is only using one state variable compare to the general driven synchronization methods which is using all state variables. In this paper, We achieved the usage of embedding driven synchronization and we also applied it to secure communication.

  • The effect of duplicate flexible disks on the vibrational modes of a flexible rotor system is investigated by using an anlytical method based on the assumed modes method. The rotor model to be analyzed consists of duplicate disks on a flexible shaft. In modeling the system, centrifugal stiffening and disk flexibility effects are taken into account. To demonstrate the effectiveness of the method, a hard disk drive spindle system commonly used in personal computers and a simple flexible rotor system with two disks are selected as examples. In particular, the dynamic coupling between the vibrational modes of the shaft and the duplicate disks is investigated with the shaft rotational speed varied.

  • This paper is on the study of flow force compensation for spool type valves. A simple method for flow force compensation using a stepped spool is presented in this paper. It is easy to manufacture the stepped spool of the presented method because the shape of it is simple. The method has another merit that the size of valve need not be increased. Actuating force required for driving the spool can be decreased through the compensation of flow force. The effect of presented method is predicted through CFD analysis. The results of the CFD analysis are also utilized for the optimization of step shape. The prototypes of flow force compensated Direct Drive Servo-Valve are manufactured, and the measurements of flow force are carried out. The measured effect of flow force compensation is very similar to that from the CFD analysis.

  • This paper describes a novel method of detecting excitation position in Switched Reluctance Motor(SRM) drive. The principle of the rotor position estimation is based on the defection of phase current according to rotor position.   • This paper proposes a new and simple input prediction method for robust servo system. A robust tracking control system for optical disk drives to reject disk runout was recently proposed based on both Coprime Factorization(CF) and Zero Phase Error Tracking(ZPET) control. The CF control system can be designed simply and systematically. Moreover, this system has not only stability but also robustness to parameter uncertainties and disturbance rejection capability. Since optical disk tracking servo systems can detect only racking error, it was proposed that the reference input signal for ZPET could be estimated from tracking errors. In this paper, we propose a new control structure for the ZPET controller. It requires less memory than the previously proposed method for the reference signal generation. Therefore, it is very effective in runout control. Furthermore, this method can be applied to defective optical disk like surface defects on disk. Numerical simulation and experimental result show the proposed method effective.

  • Many researchers have studied on the lightness of automobile. These researches are such as a body shell, sub frame, fuel tank, engine etc. The transmission Part is a magnitude one in the aspect of weight. A drive shaft (propeller shaft) transmits the engine power to rear differential gear assembly. It is used in the compact car that is a single drive shaft. But in the case of long body cars such as SUV (Sports Utility Vehicle), truck and large vehicle, two or three divided drive shaft are used to prevent the vibration damage from a drive shaft that has been taken high torsion and rotation. This multi-divided drive shaft structure is so heavy because it is assembled by yoke, center bearing and solid spline axis. When the rear axle move up and down, the spline shaft adjust the variation of a length between the transmission and rear axle gearbox. In this paper, it is studied in the experimental method that is a bending vibration characteristic of slip in tube shaped propeller shaft. This type propeller shaft is developed to combine the spline axis with drive shaft and can be light in weight of transmission part.

Optimization of Drive-in Temperature at Doping Process for Mono Crystalline Silicon Solar Cell (단결정 실리콘 태양전지의 도핑 최적화를 위한 확산 온도에 대한 연구)

  • In this paper, the optimized doping condition of crystalline silicon solar cells with $156{\times}156\;mm^2$ area was studied. To optimize the drive-in temperature in the doping process, the other conditions except variable drive-in temperature were fixed. These conditions were obtained in previous studies. After etching$7\;{\mu}m$ of the surface to form the pyramidal structure, the silicon nitride deposited by the PECVD had 75~80nm thickness and 2 to 2.1 for a refractive index. The silver and aluminium electrodes for front and back sheet, respectively, were formed by screen-printing method, followed by firing in 400-425-450-550-$850^{\circ}C$ five-zone temperature conditions to make the ohmic contact. Drive-in temperature was changed in range of $830^{\circ}C$ to $890^{\circ}C$to obtain the sheet resistance $30{\sim}70\;{\Omega}/{\box}$ with $10\;\Omega}/{\box}$ intervals. Solar cell made in $890^{\circ}C$ as the drive-in temperature revealed 17.1% conversion efficiency which is best in this study. This solar cells showed $34.4\;mA/cm^2$ of the current density, 627 mV of the open circuit voltage and 79.3% of the fill factor.

  • Switched Reluctance Generator attracts much attention because of high effciency, simple controllability with traction drive. But the theories that have been adopted as SRG control methods are complicated up to the present. This paper proposes reference current limitation strategy for stable generation of SRM and switching angle control. The proposed method is verified by simulation and experiments.

  • This paper describes the design of a fuzzy-logic controller for a differential-drive mobile robots. This controller uses absolute position information to modify control parameters to compensate the orientation error. CC-Control method is compensated for the internal error by wheel encoders and the fuzzy-logic control provides compensation for external errors. The validities of the proposed scheme is evaluated using simulation.
