  • Application of ceramic materials for fabrication of dental restoration materials has been a focus of interest in the field of esthetic dentistry. The ceramic materials of choice are glass ceramics, spinel, alumina, and zirconia. The development of yttrium tetragonal zirconia polycrystal (YTZP)-based systems is a recent addition to all-ceramic systems that have high strength and are used for crowns and fixed partial dentures. Computer-aided design/computer-aided manufacturing (CAD/CAM)-produced, YTZP-based systems are popular with respect to their esthetic appeal for use in stress-bearing regions. The highly esthetic nature of zirconia and its superior physical properties and biocompatibility have enabled the development of restorative systems that meet the demands of today's patients. Many in vitro trials have been performed on the use of zirconia; however, relatively fewer long-term clinical studies have been published on this subject. The use of zirconia frameworks for long-span fixed partial dentures is currently being evaluated; in the future, more in vivo research and long-term clinical studies are required to provide scientific evidence for drawing solid guidelines. Further clinical and in vitro studies are required to obtain data regarding the long-term clinical use of zirconia-based restorations.

  • To date, one of the prevailing criticisms of Daniel Defoe's Robinson Crusoe has seen the adventure novel as a celebration of the rise of mercantile capitalism and the beginnings of colonialism. From this point of view, the Englishman has often been interpreted as an early embodiment of the concept of the sovereign economic subject. Prominent social critics who took up this interpretation have included Karl Marx, Max Weber, and Jean-Jacques Rousseau. Within literary studies proper, the work of Ian Watt offered perhaps the earliest version of this point of view of the novel. Influenced by both Weber and Rousseau, Ian Watt argued that Defoe's wandering protagonist embodies the rise of economic individualism. More recent criticism has tended to challenge this dominant interpretation by laying greater stress on such countervailing factors as Crusoe's mental uncertainty and inner conflict. Drawing inspiration from Fredric Jameson's diagnosis of the ills of late capitalism, this paper analyzes the ways in which Defoe's hero, rather than championing modern rationality, can in fact be seen as suffering from many forms of emotional psychosis. Robinson Crusoe can, after all, be better viewed as a contradictory multi-layered text that, despite its outward valorization of economic individualism, portrays its hero as a victim of negative capitalistic forces, a hero driven by his desire to possess but haunted by a fear of loss, a hero who flaunts inflated feelings of self-worth even as he reveals deflated notions of material insecurity and mental persecution.

  • This study was conducted on the manufacturing method of high-strength aluminum bolts. We obtained the displacement-load information by tensile test of the Al 6056 raw material and the T6 heat-treated material and calculated the precise flow stress and fracture limit using repetitive finite element analysis for before and after heat treatment. We designed a multi-stage forging process for T6 heat-treated material, and calculated that the accumulated damage value does not exceed fracture limits by finite element method. We produced the prototype forgings without any harmful defects such as cracks and folding occurring. Bolts made of T6 heat treated material show 9.6%higher tensile strength than T6 heat treated material after wire drawing.

  • The study aims to develop horticulture-based VR content so that users can find rest in their chaotic daily lives. Healing contents that increase user participation, immersion, emotional stability, and creativity and concentration were implemented by using teleports, plant illustrations, inventory, NPC functions, and drawing games. Garden viewing content using VR technology requires technical research and development to overcome the difference from reality, which can increase the reality of the content and the completeness of the experience. The reality of the VR experience will be increased by using high-resolution displays, high-performance processors, and sensors, and user feedback will be collected and continuously improved. Through this, users present new methods by relieving stress, feeling emotional stability, and providing experiences that are impossible in reality.

  • This study was carried out to evaluate the structural stability in a non-heating greenhouse with a single cover for Citrus cultivation which was built up in Jeju on the basis of the drawing designed by Jejudo Agricultural Research & Extension Services and also to make use of the data for developing a standardized non-heating greenhouse in Jeju. The analysis of a structural stability was conducted by using CFX-5.7 and ANSYS under the design condition of a maximum accumulated snow-depth of 19.1 cm as well as an instantaneous maximum wind velocity of $36.6\;m{\cdot}s^{-1}$ which was set up on the basis of meteorological statistics in Jeju. As a result, the maximum von-Mises stress applied on pipes under the wind velocity of $36.6\;m{\cdot}s^{-1}$ showed a value of $250\;N{\cdot}mm^{-2}$ which was greater than the allowable stress of the pipe with a value of $235.4\;N{\cdot}mm^{-2}$ (=$2,400\;kg{\cdot}cm^{-2}$) and also $53.8\;N{\cdot}mm^{-2}$ under the snow-depth of 19.1 cm, respectively. This result suggested that the greenhouse be unstable under the design condition of an instantaneous wind velocity of $36.6\;m{\cdot}s^{-1}$ so that it was necessary for the greenhouse to be reinforced to secure the structural stability.

  • Most research on medical accidents is related to medical disputes and malpractice of relief system. Therefore, there is a lack of research which explores the psychological experiences of patients injured by medical accidents. The purpose of this study was to investigate Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) of patients harmed by medical accidents and to examine the moderating role of social support on the relationship between clinicians' explanation and attitude and PTSD symptoms. A total of 180 patients were drawn from a medical accident organization and online communities related to medical accidents. Results showed that 171 (95%) of the subjects experienced full PTSD symptoms and their severity of the PTSD Symptoms was as high as those who experienced other severe traumatic events. Though the main effect of clinician's explanation and attitude on PTSD symptoms was not significant, the moderating effect of social support was significant in the relationship between clinicians' explanation and attitude and PTSD symptoms. In other words, when the level of social support was low, the poorer the explanation and attitude of clinicians, the more severe the symptoms of PTSD. Drawing from these results, psychological, social, and institutional strategies were suggested to alleviate and prevent PTSD symptoms of patients injured by medical accidents. Finally, limitations of this study and suggestions for future research were discussed.

  • Cognitive impairment is symptoms of dementia, a degenerative brain disease that is drawing attention in a rapidly aging society. This study was conducted to investigate the improvement of cognitive function of Leonurus japonicus on scopolamine-induced memory impairment in mice and the effect and mechanism of memory recovery. In vivo studies were conducted on mice orally pretreated with L. japonicus in doses of 50, 100 and 200 mg/kg (p.o.) and scopolamine (1 mg/kg, i.p.) were injected 30 min before the behavioral task. Antioxidant activity was assessed by 2,2-diphenyl-1-picryl hydrazyl (DPPH) assay and 2,2-azino-bis (3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid) (ABTS) assay, and acetylcholinesterase (AChE) inhibition activity evaluated by Ellman's method. In behavior studies showed that L. japonicus has an improved the memory of scopolamine-treated mice in Y-maze, passive avoidance and Morris water maze test. In addition, L. japonicus was also exerted free radical scavenging activity and inhibited acetyl cholinesterase activity. These results suggest that L. japonicus improves short-term and long-term memory in scopolamine-induced memory decline model and prevents scopolamine-induced memory impairments through in reduced oxidative stress and acetyl cholinesterase inhibition effect. Thus, L. japonicus is related to functional medicinal materials for prevention and treatment of human dementia patients.

  • RCP(Reactor coolant pump) must be designed to preserve it's functions on normal or abnormal environments and seismic event same as operating basis earthquake(OBE) and safe shutdown earthquake(SSE). Generally, there are static and dynamic analytical method which can be applied by a floor response spectrum or time history analysis for the seismic qualification. Initially, It was accomplished a detailed structural FE-model for finite element analysis on the bases of 3-dimensional solid model which was made by the RCP drawing. As the result of dynamic characteristic using the detailed FE-model, it's shown about 12Hz natural frequency of 1st bending mode shape and maximum displacement has 11mm with the structural bending by single-point response spectrum(SPRS) method at all elevation. But maximum displacement has 7.6mm by multi-point response spectrum(MPRS) method which was applied to the three floor response spectrum at each elevation. Therefore, On a large heighten structures as RCP, The application by SPRS method causes to be more conservative results. Finally, A simpled equivalent beam model which was developed by use of iteration of detailed FE-model is shown the result more similar with those of natural frequencies and SPRS analysis. And maximum equivalent stress and displacement of the simpled beam has verified with 180MPa and 7.1mm each at 15sec as results by SSE time history method.

  • Ousters have become a key focus of interest and analysis over the last decade or so, informed by the work of the Harvard business economist Michael Porter. Recent research, however, suggests that the classic Porterian conception of clusters needs to be rethought. In particular, the idea that clusters are geogaphically bounded and integrated units whose primary link to the outside world is through the export of goods and services to global markets is highly Questionable, if not untenable. Relational approaches to clusters and regional development stress the importance of the wider networks and 'pipelines' through which knowledge is exchanged with key partners and collaborators located outside of the particular cluster in question. Rather than the main external links being those between leading firms and global markets, firms may engage in a range of global relations with collaborators and suppliers. This paper address the challenge of rethinking clusters in the light of the recent emphasis on global networks md connections, drawing on experience from m old industrial region in Western Europe Scotland. In assessing cluster experiences and initiatives in Scotland, I examine the development of the oil and gas and electronics clusters. In conclusion, I suggest that cluster initiatives me only likely to generate lasting benefits for the region in question if there is significant local ownership md control of key industries and clusters.
