A new type of piexoelectric membrane traveling wave motor has been designed and forbricated. The small motor is composed by the stator which is the combination of annular/circular membrane and metal elastic base using as the common electrode at some time and the rotor which is placed on the metal elastic body. Thus the motor structure is simple and easy to fabricate. The material of a piezoelectric membrane is fabricated by sol-gel method or wear-down method. A piezoelectric traveling wave motor has been fabricated with the stator diameter 8mm The total thickness of the stator is 350$\mu$m. Under the alternative excitation voltage 10-12V the revolving speed of the rotor is more than 100RPM.

This study is aimed at cutting down the cost, weight and improving process by replacing the traditional sintered piston of the shock absorber with engineering plastic piston by means of injection molding. To obtain the high mechanical properties, glass fiber material was selected adequately and forming analysis considering fiber orientation was made to remove the forming deficit fators and to construct the optimal runner system. In addition, structural analysis using commercial software MOLDFLOW was performed under near conditions in actual driving of automotive. The results from the internal pressure process test, oilproof test based on forming, structural and strength analysis shows that hydraulic close performance and damping force considering the out of roundness of shock absorber are relatively good.

The retroactive insurance is the system that the Assured, the principal of insurance contract shall be entitled to recover for insured(beneficiary in insurance of persons) loss during the period of insurance covered by this insurance, not withstanding that the loss had occurred before the contract of insurance concluded. The retroactive insurance is applicable to both property insurance and insurance of persons. The commercial law of Korea stipulates its rules in the insurance volume. The ultimate and definite articles of cargo insurance about the retroactive insurance are stipulated in MIA and ICC. In general insurance of persons stipulates relevant articles in the clause. Even though articles pertinent to the retroactive insurance are written explicitly in relevant law, it is difficult to settle the claim just by using specified rules of related regulations. Therefore, a claim is settled down based on the actual facts. After studying some of the actual dispute facts connected with the retroactive insurance having properties mentioned, this paper suggests controversial points and alternative ideas.

It has been shown that transparent microemulsion gels of flexibly adjustable viscosity containing less than 10％ w/w surfactants can be obtained just by cooling down through a new 1-step preparation procedure (via 4 different in-situ colloidal systems) using PIT-technology with a range of emulsifiers, co-emulsifiers and lipids. They can be used for a wide scope of applications. Specific examples have been given with antiperspirant formulas that proof the stability of these thickened microemulsions even with high content of electrolytes and low pH. We propose that the structure of these microemulsion gels can be described by cross-linking of nano-fine oil droplets via an ABA-triblock copolymer. A new generation of transparent antiperspirant roll-ons with significantly improved skin tolerance can now be formulated as an attractive alternative to alcohol-based products.

Research on down conversion phosphor materials is the key for the development of solid state lighting (SSL). Especially finding alternative red phosphor for white LEDs based on blue or NUV LEDs are important research task. Under this view, we have synthesized a series of $Eu^{3+}$ substituted $La_2W_{2-x}Mo_xO_9$ (x = 0 ~ 2, insteps of 0.1) red phosphor and characterized by X-ray diffraction (XRD) and photoluminescence. XRD results reveal a phase transition from triclinic to cubic structure for $x\;{\geq}\;0$. All the compositions show broad charge transfer band due to charge transfer from oxygen to tungsten/molybdenum and red emission due to $Eu^{3+}$ ions. Select compositions show high red emission intensity compared to the commercial red phosphor under NUV/blue ray excitation. Hence, this candidate can be possible red emitting phosphors for white LEDs.

Although some CASE tools supported conceptual data design, they required for users too much preliminary knowledge to learn how to use and handle them. In addition, in a number of studies on conceptual data design with natural language, they claimed passive participation for users with conforming to messages predefined by CASE tools. As an alternative to these traditional CASE tools, we proposed an ERD formulator for automated data design tool, called ERDF, so that even ordinary users, not necessarily data modeler, are capable of formulating ERD on business requirements by use of ERDF. We, first of all, introduced NSM as the standard methodology. We also designed the structure of ERDF including main controller, input controller, operation controller, regulation controller, schema controller, and output controller. We then defined conceptual domains and basic operations to lay down schema operations as well as sentence rules to handle input sentence in natural language. To get an ERD that is faithful to business requirements, we laid out supplementary design for dialogue and confirmation of soundness and completion.

In these days, there are out of natural sands in the construction field. It is required that development of substitute material for natural material. The blast-furnace slag could be a good alternative material in this situation. It can help resource recycling and the protection of environment. This study presents that the strength properties of mortar using air-cooled blast-furnace slag sand and water-cooled blast-furnace slag sand. The mixing design of this study have a few factors, three type of unit water, four types of W/C, five types of substitution rate. When air-cooled furnace slag sand used in mortar, as substitution rate is higher, 3, 7-days compression strength and flexural strength are going up. But, in case of water-cooled furnace slag sand mortar, strengths are going down.

Super In Plane Switching (S-IPS) technology is applied for large TFT-LCD panels used in TV applications. It has a lot of advantages in comparison to the alternative, VA technology. S-IPS shows excellent viewing angle properties and fast response time between intermediate gray levels. If the performance parameters which describe the actual visual performance are considered, S-IPS is much more advantageous.$^{1)}$ However, it shows relatively low contrast ratio in diagonal direction compared to viewing angle characteristic in upper/down direction in S-IPS. In order to compensate the relatively low diagonal contrast ratio, a newly designed optical film was applied and the truly wide view angle of a S-IPS TW(True Wide)-IPS) was achieved. Our newly developed 30-inch TFT-LCD panel reveals TW-IPS that is optimized for TV application

This paper presents a development of the auxiliary power supply simulator for a electric rolling stock. An auxiliary power supplies are required for operating air conditioning units, ventilation fans, lighting and battery charging. Traditionally this function has been fulfilled by Motor-Alternator sets. In recent years, high performance of semiconductor and micro processor, availability and price have made three phase voltage source inverters as an attractive alternative to MA Sets. From the baseline model of the SIV(Static InVerter) for electric rolling stock, we designed the scale down model of the auxiliary power supply simulator consisting of an IGBT three phase voltage source inverter. The auxiliary power supply simulator can be used educatory purpose for training efficiently about operating principles of SIV.

This study examined the formative beauty found in daenggi, which is a traditional feminine hair ornament. For research methods, both Adobe's Illustrator CS3 and Photoshop CS3 were used as designing tools and literatures on daenggi. Sixteen pieces of work were prepared by applying rotations of up, down, right, and left, repeat, symmetry, and overlap from the basic motif. For the scarf design, the rotational or diagonally symmetrical arrangement was repeated in order to maximize the outstanding features for each textile expression or was designed freely using one repetition unit (a whole scarf). Diverse images were expressed for the pendant design via usage of a basic motif and its variation. In addition, this work would suggest another alternative for apparel application by using the textile design for a simple one-piece dress.
