직접 용액 코팅법에 의해 제조한 CuInSe2 에 잔존하는 탄소 불순물층 형성에 관한 연구 (On Formation of Residual Carbon Layer in CuInSe2 Thin Films Formed via direct Solution Coating Process)

  • Formation mechanism of residual carbon layer, frequently observed in the $CuInSe_2$ (CIS) thin film prepared by direct solution coating routes, was investigated in order to find a way to eliminate it. As a model system, a methanol solution with dissolved Cu and In salts, whose viscosity was adjusted by adding ethylcellulose (EC), was chosen. It was found that a double layer, a top metal ion-derived film and bottom EC-derived layer, formed during an air drying step presumably due to different solubility between metal salts and EC in methanol. Consequently, the top metal ion-derived film acts as a barrier layer inhibiting further thermal decomposition of underlying EC, resulting a formation of bottom carbon residue layer.

Indium Tin Oxide (ITO) Coatings Fabricated using Nanoparticle Slurry and Sol

  • Indium tin oxide (ITO) coatings were made using an ITO slurry and an ITO sol. This was achieved by dispersing nanosized ITO powder in a mixed solvent without any dispersant and developing an adhesive ITO sol from indium acetate and tin tetrachloride in a mixture of DMF and n-butanol. Coating was carried out in one step by spin coating an ITO slurry, which was then followed by an ITO sol over it. Here, the sol penetrates into the nano ITO particle layers to make them adhere to each other as well as to a glass substrate. This is then followed by sintering at 500$^{\circ}C$ for 1 h to produce a uniform film consisting of ITO particles of about 50 nm and 10 nm. ITO films were obtained with sheet resistances from 450 to 1500 ohm/${\Box}$ by varying spin speed and concentration. Transmittance is higher than 90% at 550 nm.

The Effect of Anodizing on the Electrical Properties of ZrO2 Coated Al Foil for High Voltage Capacitor

  • $ZrO_2$ and Al-Zr composite oxide film was prepared by vacuum assisted sol-gel dip coating method and anodizing. $ZrO_2$ films annealed above $400^{\circ}C$ have tetragonal structure. $ZrO_2$ layers inside etch pits were successfully coated from the $ZrO_2$ sol. The double layer structures of samples were obtained after being anodized at 100 V to 600 V. From the TEM images, it was found that the outer layer was $Al_2O_3$, the inner layer was multi-layer of $ZrO_2$, Al-Zr composite oxide and Al hydrate. The capacitance of $ZrO_2$ coated foil exhibited about 28.3% higher than that of non-coating foil after being anodized at 100 V. The high capacitance of $ZrO_2$ coated foils anodized at 100 V can be attributed to the relatively high percentage of inner layer in total thickness. The electrical properties, such as withstanding voltage and leakage current of coated and non-coated Al foils showed similar values. From the results, $ZrO_2$ and Al-Zr composite oxide is promising to be used as the partial dielectric of high voltage capacitor to increase the capacitance.

Enhancement of Pool Boiling Heat Transfer in Water Using Sintered Copper Microporous Coatings

  • Pool boiling heat transfer of water saturated at atmospheric pressure was investigated experimentally on Cu surfaces with high-temperature, thermally-conductive, microporous coatings (HTCMC). The coatings were created by sintering Cu powders on Cu surfaces in a nitrogen gas environment. A parametric study of the effects of particle size and coating thickness was conducted using three average particle sizes (APSs) of $10{\mu}m$, $25{\mu}m$, and $67{\mu}m$ and various coating thicknesses. It was found that nucleate boiling heat transfer (NBHT) and critical heat flux (CHF) were enhanced significantly for sintered microporous coatings. This is believed to have resulted from the random porous structures that appear to include reentrant type cavities. The maximum NBHT coefficient was measured to be approximately $400kW/m^2k$ with APS $67{\mu}m$ and $296{\mu}m$ coating thicknesses. This value is approximately eight times higher than that of a plain Cu surface. The maximum CHF observed was $2.1MW/m^2$ at APS $67{\mu}m$ and $428{\mu}m$ coating thicknesses, which is approximately double the CHF of a plain Cu surface. The enhancement of NBHT and CHF appeared to increase as the particle size increased in the tested range. However, two larger particle sizes ($25{\mu}m$ and $67{\mu}m$) showed a similar level of enhancement.

양이온성 로진 에멀션의 응결현상이 도공층의 잉크흡수성에 미치는 영향 (Coagulation of Cationic Rosin Emulsion and its Effect on Ink Receptivity of Coating Layer)

  • The phenomenon of decrease in sizing efficiency when the stock temperature is increased is well recognized as summer sizing, and this is believed to be caused by uneven distribution of sizing agents on paper surface most often incurred by coagulation of sizing agents. When unevenly sized paper is used as coating base stock, nonuniform consolidation of the coating layer may result, which, in turn, causes uneven distribution of binder on coating surface. This causes nonuniform ink absorption to produce print mottle. In this study the effects of simple or polymeric electrolytes, storage temperature and time on the coagulation of cationic dispersed rosin size were investigated using a turbidity measurement method which was verified to correlate well with the particle size of rosin emulsion or its coagulates. Handsheets sized with rosin dispersions coagulated under various conditions were prepared and their sizing degree and coated paper properties including gloss and ink density were examined. The relationship between the sizing nonuniformity of coated papers and its ink absorption property was evaluated. Turbidity of rosin emulsion increased as the storage temperature and time were increased. Addition of simple or polymeric electrolytes caused reduction in $zeta$ -potential of the rosin dispersion and accelerated the coagulation tendency substantially. Reversion of the $zeta$ -potential of rosin dispersion, however, did not occur when coagulation was induced with simple electrolytes. On the other hand, addition of an anionic polyelectrolyte reversed the $zeta$ -potential of the flocculated rosin dispersion. This indicated that electrical double layer compaction and bridging flocculation were coagulation mechanisms for simple and polymeric electrolytes, respectively. Sizing degree decreased as coagulation of rosin was increased. Paper gloss, ink gloss and ink density were increased when sizing degree of base stock was increased most probably due to prevention of base paper swelling and increased binder migration to coating surface. This suggested that uneven printing ink density occurred when uneven sizing development was induced by coagulation of rosin particles.

열교환기에서 부식이 열전달에 미치는 영향에 관한 연구 (A Study of The Effect of Corrosion on Heat Transfer in a Heat Exchanger)

  • 심층수와 표층수의 온도 차이를 이용하는 히트펌프 시스템이나 해수열원 발전시스템(OTEC)의 열교환기는 해수의 염분에 의하여 발생하는 열교환기의 표면 위에서의 부식 현상에 의하여 열전달 성능이 저하된다. 본 연구는 이중관식 열교환기 실험을 통하여 부식시간에 따른 열전달저하를 실험하고 분석한 내용을 제시한다. 이러한 연구는 고가의 티타늄 열교환기를 대체하기 위하여 알루미늄에 전착 코팅을 하여 제작된 코팅 관을 통해 수행되었다. 코팅 두께 10, 15, $20{\mu}m$의 알루미늄 관 및 티타늄 관을 각각 6주, 12주, 18주씩 가속 부식시킨 후에 이중관 열교환기 실험을 통하여 코팅 두께 및 부식 시간에 따른 열전달의 변화를 측정하고 분석하였다. 코팅이 얇을수록 더 빠르게 블리스터 현상이 발생하였다. $15{\mu}m$의 코팅 관의 경우 12주 부식까지는 좋은 열전달 성능을 보였으나, 18주 부식의 경우에서 열전달 성능의 감소를 보였다. 연구결과로부터 본 실험 조건에서는 $20{\mu}m$의 두께로 코팅된 알루미늄관이 티타늄을 대체할 수 있는 열전달 성능을 가질 수 있음을 확인하였다. 또한, 부식 시간에 따른 부식 열저항의 증가에 대한 고찰을 통하여 향후 부식 열저항 모델 개발의 방법론을 제시하였다.

MgFe$_2$/GeO$_2$ AR Coating on o-type(100) Cz Silicon Solar Cells

  • This paper presents a process optimization of antireflection (AR) coating on crystalline Si solar cells. Theoretical and experimental investigations were performed on a double-layer AR(DLAR) coating of MgFe$_2$/GeO$_2$. We investigated GeO$_2$ films as an AR layer because they have a proper refractive index of 2.46 and demonstrate the same lattice constant as Si substrate. RF sputter grown GeO$_2$ film showed deposition temperature strong dependence. The GeO$_2$ at 400$\^{C}$ exhibited a strong (111) preferred orientation and the lowest surface roughness of 6.87 $\AA$. Refractive index of MgFe$_2$film was measured as 1.386 for the most of growth temperature. An optimized DLAR coating showed a reflectance as low as 2.04% in the wavelengths ranged from 0.4 ㎛ to 1.1 ㎛. Solar cells with a structure of MgFe$_2$/GeO$_2$/Ag/N$\^$+//p-type Si/P$\^$+//Al were investigated with the without DLAR coatings. We achieved the efficiency of solar cells greater than 15% with 3.12% improvement with DLAR coatings. Further details about MgFe$_2$,GeO$_2$ films, and cell fabrication parameters are presented in this paper.

  • Al-Mg films were prepared onto steel sheet according to deposition condition by eco-friendly electron beam vacuum evaporation method. The influence of Al-Mg films on corrosion resistance was evaluated by salt spray test and electrochemical method etc.. From the experimented results, it was found that the Al-Mg films which showed good corrosion resistance tend to have fine structure with homogenious composition distribution. In addition, it was shown that the property of coating films can be improve by controlling thickness ratio and uniform distribution of intermetallic compounds in Al-Mg films.

프탈로시아닌계 광전도성 유기박막의 제조에 관한 연구 (A study on the preparation of phthalocyanine optoelectric thin films)

  • A double layered photoreceptor using phthalocyanine dye was made by dip-coating method. The under cutting layer(UCL) was coated with A1$\_$2/O$\_$3/ or polyamide, and the charge generation layer(CGL) was formed by .tau.-type metal-free phthalocyanine. The oxadiazole was used as a charge transport layer(CTL) and polycarbonate and poly(vinyl butyral) was employed as a host polymer. The .tau.-H$\_$2/Pc had an absorption peak around 780nm, which coincided with the emitting wavelengths of GaAlAs diode lasers. Maximum charge acceptance of CTL that gives thickness of 12.mu.m was -900V by corona charge of -6.0kV. In photo-induced discharge measurements, residual potential was less than -20V and sufficient for ordinary use, and sample films using of poly(vinyl butyral) was showed good charge retention. In printing test, drum that was employed polycarbonate as a host polymer showed the good print quality.

양산형 일광차단모의 개발(제1보) -고안 및 마네킹 착용실험- (Development of the sunshade hat with a large brim(Part I) -Development and test with manikins-)

  • This study was to develop the sunshade hat which reduced stress from solar radiation and ultraviolet radiation (UV), in order to keep the farmer's health and to promote their work efficiency. The new sunshade hat with a large brim, special structure for ventilation, stability and portability was designed and tested with manikin heads outdoors. Two newly designed sunshade hats(A, B) and three existing hat were tested Sunshade hat A made of double fabric with aluminum coating-nylon and black cotton cloth with a polyester mix(T/C) was the most protective from solar radiation. Sunshade hat B with larger brim was the most protective from ultraviolet radiation, even though it was made of aluminum coating-nylon single fabric.
