Objectives: The objective of this study was to review the effect of oral administration of herbal medicines on the improvement of memory in Alzheimer's disease animal model reported in Korean domestic journals. Methods: The Korean databases (Koreantk, KISS) were searched with memory as a popular search term. During the searches, only animal study reports were reviewed. Data of animal models, intervention, observation methods of measuring indicators were extracted from the databases. Results: Typically, 36 articles were reviewed. Twenty-two studies used scopolamine to induce Alzheimer's disease, 24 studies used complex herbal medicines, and 12 studies used simple herbal medicines. Polygalae Radix and Acori Rhizoma were the most frequently used herbal medicines to improve memory in Alzheimer model. To evaluate the effect of herbal medicines, 36 studies used macroscopy, 16 studies used molecular biological analysis, 21 studies used biochemical analysis, 15 studies used histological analysis, and 11 studies used hematological analysis. Each study showed significant improvement with respect to memory indicators. Conclusions: Overall, the results suggest that treatment employing herbal medicines is an effective option to treat memory impairment in Alzheimer's disease.

This study aims to provide basic data conducive to developing popular and international products by analyzing the mechanism, factors and design of ethnic sports fashion incorporating ethnicity and sports sense that may satisfy the physical and psychological needs of modern humans who tend to seek 'well- being'. The methodology includes literature reviews and positivist study, and visual materials include domestic and foreign fashion magazines, newspapers, fashion journals, ad photos, collection photos, and internet that cover colors, materials, detailed sports fashion design that are considered to have an ethnic image. Its scope is limited to the period from 2000 through 2005 S/S. The results of study are as follows: First, sports fashions through incorporation of sports emotion and fashion, mixes and matches existing formal wear, casual wear, or leisure wear with sportswear, or introduces and utilizes materials, details, accessories, or image from sportswear. Second, 1) from the changes by year in sports fashion, ethnic images were strongly expressed by the influence of naturalism in the early 1990s, and functional sports fashion has been fused with ethnic image with functionalism becoming stronger and wellbeing trend expanding from the mid 1990s through 2000s. 2) The cause of ethnic image in sports fashion included hybrid, multi-culturalism, and naturalism. Third, the ethnic images revealed in the sports fashion designs of Prada, Louis Vuitton, Gucci, and Y3 are simple and unique based on functionality and activism.

Since core scholarly journals have been digitalized, demands on the perpetual access and long-term preservation of subscribed digital information resources by libraries are increasing. Various institutions and organizations have performed the preservation activities of digital scholarly resources for the purpose of responding those demands. This paper illustrates the National Digital Archive(NDA) system proposed and developed by KISTI and discusses on the NDA strategies which aim to improve the usability of archived journal articles. In addition, NDA strategies of KISTI have been compared with those of international researches and the economic validity of NDA has been verified by analyzing NPV, BCR and IRR. Legal system for improving the application of the archived data should be studied next and high value-added data services have been suggested as our future studies in the final section.

The purpose of this thesis was to investigate the transitional aspects of the power shoulders with a comparative analysis of the patterns observed from the late 20th century to the present. The method of study was through review of papers as well as phenomenological approaches. Books, domestic and international journals, and dissertations were studied as part of the paper review. Phenomenological study was performed by analyzing the pictures from late 20th to present; and categorized by 10 year time span i. e., 1980-1990, and 2002-2012. Hundred representative fashion photos were selected, respectively. As a result, the power shoulder found in late 20 centuries was largely limited to horizontal and diagonal shape, addressed mainly to the jackets; while they were straight, and wide shouldered, with emphasis on masculine style. On the other hand, in early 21 century, the power shoulder was applied in various forms of straight, diagonal, circular and ornamental with objects, not only to the jackets, but also to feminine styles such as one-piece dress, vest, and blouse. This finding may be attributed to the fact that the modern people desire newer trends and women tend to show off their ability in transcending those of men. The findings of analysis of the transitional aspects of power shoulder in this thesis might contribute as basic resources for anticipating the trends that might be revived in the future.

This article is a review on the Korean geographers' China studies. There were severe limits to make China study in Korea during the Cold War Period. Since 1992, the fear of Korea-China establishment of diplomatic relation Korean geographers' China studies have been increased substantially Until December 2003, 89 articles were published on the journals related to geographical study, and 9 Ph.D. dissertations were submitted to graduate school departments of geography or geography education in Korea. This is an evidence of the rapid development of China study in Korean geographical society. Early 1990s, geographers of Yanbian university located in northeast China played an important role in the development of research. After the period, Korean domestic geographers' studies have also increased. There has been a distinct progress in the fields of economic and urban geography. However, the development of theory, diversification of themes, and professional study in the macro-regional scale could be proposed as the tasks of future research.

The purpose of this study to analyze the informatization trends in Korea through objective newspaper data for the period from 1998 to 2017 for informatization and library in four newspapers including KyoungHyang Newspaper, Kookmin Ilbo, Hankyoreh and Hankookilbo. Based on the analysis results of metadata and related words using BIGKinds, a news big data system, this study presented analysis of simple frequency, classification and classification of the keywords 'information', 'informatization' and 'library'. Based on the results, we compared and analyzed the tendency of informatization in the media through comparison with the 'Information White Paper' which is the publication of government agencies and with research about the research topic of 4 academic journals in the Library and Information Science field. This study tried to interpret the trends of informatization based on the media and it is meaningful that we analyzed the big data of newspaper article which is the long term and time series data. Based on the results of the study, implications of the growth and development of libraries with domestic informatization were suggested. It is expected that we will be able to create a basic framework for developing library informatization policy through the further studies.

In the field of oriental medicine, many researchers head for the aim of standardization. To achieve this aim, oriental medical researchers have been carried out experimental research, statistical research, clinical research, philological research, etc., and, have published their results to journals. But, the declaration of Roman name of herbal formula is not united each other, on several article. So, we should prepare database to search in domestic and overseas, and should consider compatibility of internationally used search system. Also, it is need to use appropriate roman letters in oriental medical terms for people can use easily. We inquired the type of roman letters in the name of formula of article that were carried oriental medical journal, to find out appropriate roman letters and to the demands of the times. There were many cases that Korean name of formula is not correspond to the declaration of Korea roman letters. Also, the declaration of roman letters for preparation like as tang(湯), san(散), hwan(丸) etc. are not standardized. To facilitate making database and forming search system, now we suggest that we can standardize the declaration of Korea roman letters by using of Hangul(한글) word processor's toolbar which has transformation of roman letters.

This study aimed at analyzing the influence factors of the academic library on college's education and research performances. The researched subject was 144 colleges targeted for information disclosure by Center for Higher Education Information Disclosure. The conclusion of the present study is as follows. First, the educational performance in college showed the positive relation with 'library environment' variables except 'seating capacity per capita'. Second, the educational performance in college was positively related to the variable of 'library outcome' and particularly, it was directly influenced by circulation, visit, and interlibrary loan. Third, the research performance in college showed a positive correlation with 'library environment' variables except facility scale of library. Fourth, the research performance in college showed a positive relation with the variable of 'library outcome' and research performance excluding 'publication in domestic journals per capita' was positively influenced by 'document delivery services usage per capita' and 'commercial DB usage per capita' in common.

The purpose of this study was to analyze research trends on recycling of construction wastes. Total 72 research papers published in domestic academic journals from 1995 to 2016 were analyzed. Four indicators were used for analytical framework of this study: research period, research field, research method, and research theme. The greatest amount of researches related to construction wastes recycling were executed during 2006-2010. Over half of the researches were done in architecture area. The most frequently used research method was combined method which used qualitative and qualitative method simultaneously. In terms of research theme, many of the subject researches were interested in understanding the current state of construction wastes recycling. It is recommended for further research to perform meta analysis which extends research subjects and range of keyword in macro perspective.

This study aims to examine the recent trend of domestic researches on the Internet of Things(IoT) which has drawn a lot of attention in the field of ICT. This meta-analysis analyzes 101 studies published in academic journals from 2010, focusing on research topics, methods and the fields of study. The results show that the research topics of most used studies were related to the technological and industrial issues, and especially in the technical field, the major topic was suggesting new IoT technology. The most research method was testing research followed by the literature review. Even though engineers are holding the mainstream of the IoT technology, some experts in the field of social science release their articles nowadays. These results indicate that the IoT has a great ripple effect both technologically and socioculturally, and researches need to be vitalized in the fields of industry, service, policy and institution as well as technological fields. In addition, the research for the future should extend methodological diversity and take more convergence approaches in a variety of fields.
