  • Objectives: We evaluated the learning objectives of dental hygiene courses based on Bloom's learning objectives, and analyze the degree of match with the dental hygienist's job for each detailed subject. Methods: The 5th edition of 'Dental hygiene and learning objectives' was analyzed by subject based on Bloom's cognitive domain classification from March 10 to April. In addition, the degree of match between the contents of the secondary job analysis of the dental hygienist and the learning objectives for each detailed subject were analyzed. Results: The total number of dental hygiene learning objectives was 2,975 (2,762 theory, 52 practice). Among the cognitive domains, the comprehension domain was the most common (79.8%), and the skill domain was very low (4.9%). In the job for each detailed subject of dental hygiene, the most frequently performed was 'dental prophylaxis and practice' with 103 subjects. Conclusions: Overall, dental hygiene learning objectives are mostly theory-oriented, so it is necessary to expand and improve in the direction related to the jobs that clinical dental hygienists perform in the field. In addition, it is necessary to continuously develop timely learning goals, and prepare active strategies for developing high-quality items.

  • This paper presents the nonlinear $H_{\infty}$ switching power system stabilizer (PSS) based on Lie group and Lie transformation theory. The proposed controller combines the $H_{\infty}$ switching controller and Lie theory. The proposed power system stabilizer (PSS) is used to improve the transient stability in the time-domain and to solve the problem associated with the inaccessible state variables by measuring only the angular velocity. In the simulation study, the different load conditions, fault periods, and fault locations are considered. The nonlinear time-domain simulation showed that the proposed controller was effective restoring transient stability in a one-machine infinite-bus power system.

  • The present study is concerned with the thermoelastic interactions in a two dimensional axisymmetric problem in transversely isotropic thermoelastic solid using new modified couple stress theory without energy dissipation and with two temperatures. The Laplace and Hankel transforms have been employed to find the general solution to the field equations. Concentrated normal force, normal force over the circular region, concentrated thermal source and thermal source over the circular region have been taken to illustrate the application of the approach. The components of displacements, stress, couple stress and conductive temperature distribution are obtained in the transformed domain. The resulting quantities are obtained in the physical domain by using numerical inversion technique. The effect of two temperature varying by taking different values for the two temperature on the components of normal stress, tangential stress, conductive temperature and couple stress are depicted graphically.

  • In the past years, a number of theories have been published to elucidate the structure of liquid water. common to most of these theories is that water mainly consist of several different kinds of clusters and also hydrogen bonds in water may be bent to some degree. Recentrly, in a series of paper, Jhon and Eyring successfully explained thermodynamic, dielectric, surface and transport properites of water, assuming that it contains small domains of about 46 molecules. According to the theory, the cluster size does not change with temperature, but the cluster concentration changes. In this paper, the potential function for the hydrogen bond, the dispersion energy and dipole-dipole interaction terms. The calculated results show that the domain of nearly 46 molecules is energetically most probable, and its size is independent of temperature. And also, we evaluated the effect of angel variation of the bent hydrogen bond. In addition, the relaxation energy different for ice and water is also explained by this method.

  • When designing a test set, we need to consider constraints on items that are deemed important by item developers or test specialists. The constraints are essentially on the components of the test domain or abilities relevant to a given test set. And so if the test domain could be represented in a more refined form, test construction would be made in a more efficient way. We assume that relationships among task abilities are representable by a causal model and that the item response theory (IRT) is not fully available for them. In such a case we can not apply traditional item selection methods that are based on the IRT. In this paper, we use entropy as an uncertainty measure for making inferences on task abilities and developed an optimal item selection algorithm which reduces most the entropy of task abilities when items are selected from an item pool.

  • In this paper, a square simply supported panel flutter have been considered at high supersonic flow by using coupled fluid-structure (FSI) analysis that based on time domain method. The Reynolds-Average Navier Stokes (RANS) equation with Spalart-Allmaras turbulent model were applied for unsteady flow problems of panel flutter. A fully implicit time marching schemed based on the Newmark direct integration method is used for calculating the coupled aeroelastic governing equations of it. In addition, the SOL 145 solver of MSC.NASTRAN was used to investigate flutter velocity based on PK-method of Piston theory. Our numerical results indicated that there is a good agreement result between Piston Theory in MSC.NASTRAN and coupled fluid-structure analysis.

  • This paper takes issue with the idea of language as a 'serial-time structure' as opposed to the 'real-time event' of speech, an idea entrenched in Chomskyan model of linguistic theory. The discussion centers around the leitmotif question: Is language constructed entirely from a finite set of apriori discrete symbol types, as the 'competence vs performance' dichotomy implies\ulcorner A set of linguistic patterns examined in this study, largely with regard to phonological considerations, points to the evidence to the contrary. That is, while the patterns may be said to be linguistically distinct, they are not discretely, different, i.e. not different enough to be reliably differentiated. It is demonstrated that much of current research in phonology, including the most recent Optimality Theory, is misdirected in that it falsely presupposes a discrete universal phonetic inventory. The main thrust of the present study is that there is no sharp boundary between 'competence' defined as the formal, symbolic, discrete time domain of language and human cognition on the one hand and 'performance' as the continuous, fuzzy, real-time domain of human physiology on the other.

  • Quantitative Feedback Theory(QFT) has been used to design a robust power system stabilizer(PSS) to improve transient and dynamic stabilities of a power system. This design technique is basically accomplished in frequency domain. The most important feature of QFT is that it is able to deal with the design problem of complicated uncertain plants. A basic idea in QFT design is the translation of closed-loop frequency-domain specifications into Nichols chart domains specifying the allowable range of the nominal open-loop response and then to design a controller by using the gain-phase loop shaping technique. This paper introduces a new algorithm to compute QFT bounds more efficiently. The propose QFT design method ensures a satisfactory performance of the PSS under a wide range of power system operating conditions.

  • Fourier series-based models in the time domain are frequently established to represent individual bouncing loads, which neglects the stochastic property of human bouncing activity. A power spectral density (PSD) model in the frequency domain for individual bouncing loads is developed herein. An experiment was conducted on individual bouncing loads, resulting in 957 records linked to form long samples to achieve a fine frequency resolution. The Welch method was applied to the linked samples to obtain the experimental PSD, which was normalized by the bouncing frequency and the harmonic order. The energy, energy distribution center, and energy distribution shape of the experimental PSD were investigated to establish the PSD model. The proposed model was used to analyze structural vibration responses using stochastic vibration theory, which was verified via field measurements. It is believed that this framework can evaluate the vibration capacity of structures excited by bouncing crowds, such as concert halls and grandstands.

  • This article is an application of new modified couple stress thermoelasticity without energy dissipation in association with two-temperature theory. The upper and lower surfaces of the plate are subjected to an axisymmetric heat supply. The solution is found by using Laplace and Hankel transform techniques. The analytical expressions of displacement components, conductive temperature, stress components and couple stress are computed in transformed domain. Numerical inversion technique has been applied to obtain the results in the physical domain. Numerically simulated results are depicted graphically. The effect of two temperature is shown on the various components.
