The empirical evaluation of grid-connected tidal current generation system is presented in this paper. The Ul-dol-mok in Jin-do has been estimated to have tidal power of 1GW. In order to experiment, HAT (Horizontal Axis Turbine) 3-blade and 20kW grid-connected tidal current generation system was established at Ul-dol-mok in Jin-do. To generate power of generator, the speed reference of the PMSG is generated from the Cp curve and TSR (Tip Speed Ratio) of the designed turbine. The control of the converter connected to the grid is controlled to regulate unity power factor. The result showed that the turbine efficiency and system efficiency is 37 % and 31 %. This was achieved that target rate is 30 %, 20 %, respectively.

Place names are generally composed of first half and second half, whether the originality of those names comes from Korean or Chinese. The first half, modifying the second half, represents the naming flexibility of the name, while the second half of the name points out its directive object, which refers to a branch of the name. For example, 'Myeong' in 'Myeongryang' and 'No' in 'Noryang' represent their naming flexibility while 'Ryang', constituting the second half, points out the name's directive object. The purpose of this study was to investigate the etymology of place names, 'Myeongryang' and 'Noryang', by figuring out the meanings of those two elements. In order to search for the meaning of the second half, 'Ryang', other examples presented in the related literature have been examined. The finding indicated that 'Ryang' means 'dol', or 'do', which refers to 'moon(door)'. Furthermore, it is found out that the meaning of 'Ryang' has been transferred from 'dol' or 'do' to 'moon(door)', furthermore, to the straits. Upon looking into the origins of those names on the field, it is interpreted that 'Myeong Ryang' has been meant as a door in which huge and rough waves cry out, and 'No Ryang' has been meant as a door in which huge and rough waves rise up.

To develop a generic ERP(Enterprise Resource Planning) system which can accommodate various types of manufacturing enterprises, object-oriented methods are commonly applied from analysis to implementation. The objective of OO-ERP (Object-Oriented ERP) systems is the reusability of business objects(components). In practice, one of the critical features for the reusable OO-ERP system would be the capability of interfacing with distributed, heterogeneous data repositories. Consequently, it is essential to provide data repository transparency in OO-ERP systems - business objects do not take care of the locations and types of data repositories. In this paper, we propose Data Object Layer(DOL) that supports such transparency. DOL is a horizontal component through which OO-ERP systems can be seamlessly connected with diverse data repositories.

Aconitum Uchiyamai NAKAI "geu-neul-dol-che-gi"(Ranunculaceae), is geographically distributed only in Korea. An aconite collected at Mt. Dukwoo, Kangwon-Do flowers with white color in October. The aconite is different from Aconitum Uchiyamai NAKAI from the point of anatomical and morphological views in transplanted and collected aconites. Being a new variety of Aconitum Uchiyamai NAKAI, this aconite is anounced under the name of Aconitum Uchiyamai NAKAI var. albiflorum CHUNG et RIM, "Hin-geu-neul-dol-che-gi" called in Korea. Aconitum Uchiyamai NAKAI var. albiflorum CHUNG et RIM Differt a planta Aconitum Uchiyamai NAKAI per colorem album.

In this Paper, optical absorption were performed on LB films of binary mixtures of three kinds of merocranine dyes DO, DS, and 6Me-BS, where DS and 6Me-DS form J-like aggregates but not DO in single component films. The observed optical absorption spectra of mixed films were markedly defendent on the combination of dyes. [6Me-DS]$\sub$1-x/[DOl]$\sub$x/ LB films show a sharp red shifted J-like band peak in the whole concentration range. We found the formation of f aggregates in a mixed merocyanine dyes containing a non J-aggregate forming dye DO, in a single component case. Farther investigations on the present and other mixed-dye films will be needed to clarify these points.

We report a new distribution of Sedum kiangnanense D. Q. Wang & Z. F. Wu on the Korean Peninsula. This species was first reported in China and is distributed in Anhui and Zhejiang provinces. We found this species on Hongdo Island in Heuksan-myeon, Shinan-gun, Jeollanam-do in the Republic of Korea. S. kiangnanense is well distinguished from other species in Korea by 4- or 5-verticillate leaves on the sterile stems and a spatulate leaf shape. We provide its morphological description, detailed illustrations, and a key to related taxa. We have given this species a new Korean name, Ip-kkot-dol-na-mul, which means flower-like leaved sedum.

This study is an attempt to analyze concept of pain and to do it according to a series of concept development processes described by Walker and Avant. Based on the results of the study, the attributes, scope, precedences and consequences of pain were identified : 1. The attributes of pain were subjectivity, unpleasantness, expression, experience, response, and sensitivity. 2. The scope of pain were physical, psychological, and socio-cultural. 3. The following were precedences of pain : 1) Internal or external noxious stimuli 2) actual or potential injury or damage to body and/or mind 3) noxious stimulation or aversive sensation is perceived as pain 4. The following were consequences of pain : 1) physical, psychological, socio-cultural response 2) verbal and/or non-verbal communication 3) coping and self-preservation.

Purpose: This study was done to investigate changes in image of nursing in first year students of nursing after courses on history & philosophy of nursing. Methods: Participants were 100 first year students at a nursing college located in K city. The students were asked to submit a written answer to an open-ended question. Data were collected in March, 2011, before the students started nursing courses, and again in June, 2011, after they had finished one semester of nursing courses. Data were analyzed using Van Kaam's phenomenological method. Results: Before the nursing courses, students regarded nursing as caring for patients comfortably with warmth and kindness, helping patients with self-sacrificing spirit and service, and being tough and overwhelming to do. After finishing one semester of nursing courses, they regarded nursing as a profession that requires motherly care, love and devotion, and as meaningful and beautiful to do. Conclusions: After finishing one semester of nursing courses, the images of nursing held by the students changed from a traditional perspective emphasizing the emotional and negative aspects to one focusing more on the professional and positive aspects. It is essential to establish healthy and positive images of nursing among students through the nursing curriculum.

한국산 바다뱀과 어류에 포함되는 Pisodonophis cancrivorus(체장 862.3 mm) 1 개체가 경상북도 울진군 북면 연안에서 2008년 9월에 채집되었다. 본 종의 특징은 후비공 전후에 근육돌기가 1개씩 나 있고, 상악치를 비롯하여, 하악치와 서골치가 과립상으로 무질서하게 3~5줄로 된 치판을 형성하고 있으며, 등지느러미는 가슴지느러미의 중앙 상부에서 출발하는 점이다. 본종은 상악의 후비공 전후에 근육돌기가 있는 점을 들어 국명을 "돌기바다뱀"이라고 명명하였다.
