  • From tire root bark of Accnthopanax koreanum a new diterpene glycoside, mp $212{\sim}214^{\circ}$, was isolated. The structure was established as 15(R),16-dihydroxypimar-9(11)-ene-19-oic acid ${\beta}$-D-glucopyranosyl ester (sumogaside) oil the basis of spectroscopic methods and chemical transformation.

  • Robinson annotation과 입체선택적 alkylation으로 새로운 pimarane diterpene 의 A,B-ring system을 합성한 후 cyclohexane의 allylation과 Claisen 전위를 이용하여 4급탄소 unit를 얻고 Mcurry coupling 반응으로 C-ring을 도입함으로써 새로운 pimarane diterpene을 전합성하였다. 전합성 중에 개발된 방법들을 이용하여 기본 골격들을 합성한 후 효능 검색하여 구조-활성관계를 확립하고 lead compound를 유도해 내었다.

  • A new diterpene, mp $178{\sim}180^{\circ}$, $C_{21}H_{28}O_5$, was isolated from the root of Agastache rugosa O. Kuntze in the family of Labiatae. The structure of this compound was postulated as $19(4{\rightarrow}3)-abeo-12,14,15-trihydroxy-11-methoxy-abiet-4(18)$, 8,11,13-tetraen-7-one by spectroscopic methods.

  • The diterpene acid (1) was tested for its growth inhibitory effects against tumor cell lines using the 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide (MTT) assay. Full assignments of the 1D/2D-NMR data of the compound (1) are reported. These results suggest that the diterpene acid (1) possessed a cytotoxic agent.

  • 잣나무의 Diterpene resin acids의 함량을 조사하기 위하여 침엽(needle), 일차조직(cortex), 목질부(sylem)별로 수지를 채취하여 최근 유행하고 있는 capillary column을 사용하는 GC를 이용하여 정량분석을 하였다. 분석결과 7종의 resin acid가 밝혀졌으며, 그 중 lambertianic acid는 neelde에서 74~87%, cortex에서 42-57%, xylem에서 18-28%로 분석되었는데, 다른 Pinus류에서 보다 훨씬 많은 양이 함유되어 병리곤충 분야나 농약 분야에서 고찰할 만한 가치가 있다고 생각하며, 그 외 l-obrnyltrans-p-coumarate, isocupressic acid pinusolide 등도 분석 되었다.

  • A diterpene alkaloid in addition to hypaconitine and mesaconitine was isolated from the tubers of Aconitum napiforme (Ranunculaceae), which is an indigenous plant in Korea. Its structure was elucidated as 8-methoxy 14-benzoyl hypaconine by Physicochemical and spectroscopic data. This compound was isolated from this plant for the first time.

  • To elucidate chemical structure of the wood extractive, wood meal of Larix leptolepis Gorden was extracted with 95% ethanol for 72 hours. The extract was fractionated with organic solvents such as n-hexane, chloroform, diethylether, and ethyl acetate. From the hexane somble fraction of the extractives, a new diterpene compound was isolated and identified as 6-acetoxymanool or 13-hydroxy-8(17), 14-labddienyl-6-acetate by IR, $^1H(^{13}C)$-NMR and Mass spectrometry.

  • Five ent-kaurane type diterpene glycosides were isolated from the aerial parts of Inula britannica var. chinensis Regel (Compositae) through repeated column chromatography. Their chemical structures were elucidated as 16β-H-ent-kauran-19-oic acid-19-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (1), 16β-hydroxy-17-acetoxy-ent-kauran-19-oic acid-19-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (2), 16β,17-dihydroxy-ent-kauran-19-oic acid-19-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (3), 16α,17-dihydroxy-ent-kauran-19-oic acid-19-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (4) and 17-O-β-D-glucopyranosyl-16β-H-ent-kauran-19-oic acid-19-O-β-D-glucopyranoside (5), respectively, by spectroscopic analysis. Among these compounds, 1-4 were isolated for the first time from this plant.

  • Two new diterpene compounds have been isolate from the roots of Eragrostis ferruginea (Thunb.) Beauv. and their structures were elucidated as isopimara-9(11), 15-0ien-l9-ol-3-one and cassa-13(14), 15-diene-3, 12-dione by various spectroscopic me-thods. We have also isolated a known diterpene diol isopimara-9(11). 15-diene-3$\beta$, 19-dio1.
