  • Nonlinear feedback control scheme for reactive distillation column has been proposed. The proposed control scheme is derived in the framework of Nonlinear Internal Model Control. The product compositions and liquid and vapor flow rates in sections of the reactive distillation column are estimated from selected tray temperature measurements by an observer. The control scheme is applied to example reactive distillation column in which two products are produced in a single column and the reversible reaction A + B = C + D occurs. 오미자(Schizandra Chinensis Bullion)의 휘발성 성분 (Volatile components of Schizandra Chinensis Bullion)

  • 오미자(Schizandra Chinensis Bullion)를 simultanuous distillation 및 steam distillation으로 추출하여 정유의 관능적 특성을 조사하고, GC 및 GC-MS로 분석하여 47개 성분을 확인하였다. 오미자의 관능적 특성은 woody, camphorous하고 spicy, sour note이고 정유의 distillation extraction에 의한 수율은 0.64%, simultanous distillation extraction에 의한 수율은 0.88%이었다. 확인된 47개 성분 중에서 terpene계 화합물인 ${\alpha}-pinene$, camphene, limonene, ${\gamma}-terpinene$, p-cymene, ${\alpha}-ylangne$, ${\beta}-elemene$ 등이 많이 함유하고 있었다. 또 정유를 10개로 분획한 후 좋은 향기 특성을 갖고있는 4개의 분획물만을 선정하여 성분 분석하였다. 오미자 향기특성이 woody, camphorous하여 상쾌한 신맛을 느끼게 함으로 국산차 또는 음료용으로 개발전망이 밝다고 본다.

청호(Artemisia apiaceae Herba)의 휘발성 성분 (Volatile components Artemisia apiaceae Herba)

  • 청호(Artemisia apiaceae Herba)를 simultanuous distillation 및 steam distillation으로 추출하여 정유의 관능적 특성을 조사하고, GC 및 GC-MS로 분석하여 34개 성분을 확인하였다. 정유의 관능적 특성은 camphorous하면서 herbal하였고, 정유의 steam distillation에 의한 수율은 0.23%, simultanuous distillation extraction에 의한 수율은 0.37%이었다. 확인된 34개 성분 중에서 camphene, camphor, borneol and caryophv-llene 등이 많이 함유되어 있었다. 또 정유를 11개로 분획한 후 좋은 향기 특성을 갖고 있는 5개의 분획물만을 성분 분석하였으며 특히 분획물 F-5와 F-6은 기능성 약리효능을 얻을 수 있는 의료용 향료로 개발가능성을 보였다.

  • 본 연구에서는 두 개의 증류탑으로 이루어진 기존 추출 증류 공정과 열 통합된 연속식 증류탑으로 이루어진 추출열 통합 증류 공정의 시스템에 대하여 에너지가 가장 적게 드는 최적의 구조 및 운전조건을 실현하기 위하여 Aspen plus의 최적화 기능을 이용하여 최적화를 행하였다. 두 구조 모두 추출제를 재순환시키는 구조로 모사하였다. 최적화 문제를 구성하여 에너지 비교, 다른 조성비, 추출제의 양에 따라 최적 조건의 변화를 파악하여 최적화된 공정 조업조건 및 설계지침을 제시하였다. 두 구조의 비교에서 열 통합 증류 시스템이 기존의 증류시스템에 비하여 에너지 효율 및 장치비 면에서 보다 나은 것으로 나타났다.

  • Manufacturing technology for the production of high value-added fine chemical products is emphasized and getting more attention as the diversified interests of customers and the demand of high quality products are getting bigger and bigger everyday. Thus, the development of advanced batch processes, which is the preferred and most appropriate way of producing these types of products, and the related technologies are becoming more important. Therefore, high-precision batch distillation is one of the important elements in the successful manufacturing of fine chemicals, and the importance of the process operation strategy with quality assurance cannot be overemphasized. Accordingly, proposing a process structure explanation and operation strategy of such processes including batch processes and batch distillation would be of great value. We investigate optimal operation strategy and production planning of multi-purpose plants consisting of batch processes and batch distillation for the manufacturing of fine chemical products. For the short-term scheduling of a sequential multi-purpose batch plant consisting of batch distillation under MPC and UIS policy, we proposed a MILP model based on a priori time slot allocation. Also, we consider that the waste product of being produced on batch distillation is recycled to the batch distillation unit for the saving of raw materials. The developed methodology will be especially useful for the design and optimal operations of multi-purpose and multiproduct plants that is suitable for fine chemical production.

Distillation of Cd- ZrO2 and Cd- Bi in Crucible With Splatter Shield

  • The liquid cathode processing is necessary to separate cadmium from the actinide elements in the pyroprocessing since the actinide deposits are dissolved or precipitated in a liquid cathode. Distillation process was employed for the cathode processing owing to the compactness. It is very important to avoid a splattering of cadmium during evaporation due to the high vapor pressure. Several methods have been proposed to lower the splattering of cadmium during distillation. A multi-layer porous round cover was proposed to avoid a cadmium splattering in our previous study. In this study, distillation behavior of $Cd-ZrO_2$ and Cd - Bi systems were investigated to examine a multi-layer porous round cover for the development of the cadmium splatter shield of distillation crucible. It was designed that the cadmium vapor can be released through the holes of the shield, whereas liquid drops can be collected in the multiple hemisphere. The cover was made with three stainless steel round plates with a diameter of 33.50 mm. The distance between the hemispheres and the diameter of the holes are 10 and 1 mm, respectively. Bismuth or zirconium oxide powder was used as a surrogate for the actinide elements. About 40 grams of Cd was distilled at a reduced pressure for two hours at various temperatures. The mixture of the cadmium and the surrogate was distilled at 470, 570 and $620^{\circ}C$ in the crucible with the cover. Most of the bismuth or zirconia remained in the crucible after distillation at 470 and $570^{\circ}C$ for two hours. It was considered that the crucible cover hindered the splattering of the liquid cadmium from the distillation crucible. A considerable amount of the surrogate material reduced after distillation at $620^{\circ}C$ due to the splattering of the liquid cadmium. The low temperature is favorable to avoid a liquid cadmium splattering during distillation. However, the optimum temperature for the cadmium distillation should be decided further, since the evaporation rate decreases with a decreasing temperature.

증류한약과 상담치료로 호전된 불면증 치험 1례 (A case of distillation Herbal medicine and Counseling on insomnia)

  • The Purpose of this study was to investigate the clinical application of distillation Herbal medicine and Counseling Treatment to the insomnia In this case, a female patient, 40 years old, who had an adverse reaction of a Herbal medicine, complained of insomnia. We treated the patient with distillation Herbal medicine and Counseling. we diagnosed her state Rhosangsimbi(勞傷心脾), so we prescribed distillation Gagamguibi-tang(加減歸脾湯) for patient. In result, the patient's hours of sleep was increased to 6 hours from 1 hour. Conclusionally, Distillation Herbal medicine and Counseling Treatment Could be Effective method to treat the patient of insomnia with an adverse reaction of a Herbal medicine.

심랭식공기분리공정에서 질소증류탑의 엑서지 해석 (Exergy Analysis of Nitrogen Distillation Column in the Cryogenic Air Separation Process)

  • The distillation column is one of large energy consumable units in the cryogenic air separation process and the accurate energy analysis of this unit is necessary for choice of energy saving process. In this work, the energy method was adopted for energy analysis of a cryogenic nitrogen distillation column. In order to designing the energy saving distillation column, the exergy distribution of feed air, exergy efficiency and exergy loss for process condition was investigated and the optimal process condition to minimize the exergy loss was found. The result from this work can be used as a guideline for the choice of the process design conditions and efficiency improvement of cryogenic distillation column.

에탄올-n-헵탄 공비 혼합물의 분리를 위한 압력변환 증류공정 연구 (A Study on the Pressure-Swing Distillation of Ethanol-n-Heptane Azeotrope)

  • 본 연구에서는 에탄올-n-헵탄 이성분계 공비 혼합물의 분리를 위해 압력변환 증류공정(pressure-swing distillation, PSD)을 사용하여 전산모사 및 공정 최적화를 진행하였다. 저압-고압 컬럼 배열과 고압-저압 컬럼 배열을 통해 고순도 에탄올과 고순도 n-헵탄을 얻기 위한 압력변환 증류공정을 수행하였다. 전산모사 결과, 저압-고압 컬럼 배열 공정보다 고압-저압 컬럼 배열 공정을 사용할 경우 heat duty 값이 약 5.8% 정도 감소되어 에너지 소모량 면에서 더 경제적임을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • 분리벽형 열복합 증류탑이 현장에서 에너지 절감형 증류 시스템으로 많이 사용되고 있으나 증류탑을 새로 제작하여야 하는 어려움이 있어, 기존의 증류탑을 활용한 에너지 절감형 증류 시스템을 제안하였다. 제안된 증류탑은 BTX 공정에서 기존 시스템에 비해 약 39%의 에너지 절감효과가 있다. 또, 제안된 증류 시스템은 분리벽형 증류탑에 비해 운전성을 개선할 수 있음을 보였으며, 추가된 증류탑의 단수는 중간제품의 조성에 큰 영향을 미치지 않는다.
