In this work, polyacrylonitrile (PAN) fiber was prepared by electrospinning methods from dimethyl formamide solutions with various conditions, such as 8~20 kV applied voltage, 5~15 wt% PAN concentration, and 15 cm tip-to-collector distance (TCD). The nanofibers were stabilized by oxidation at $250^{\circ}C$ for 1 h, and then subsequently carbonized at $800{\sim}1000^{\circ}C$ for 1 h. The structured characteristics of the nanofibers before and after carbonization were studied by Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy. The resulting diameter distribution and morphologies of the nanofiber were evaluated by scanning electron microscope analysis. The electrochemical behaviors of the nanofiber were observed by cyclic voltammetry tests. From the results, the diameter of electrospinning nanofibers was predominantly influenced by the concentration of polymer solution and the applied voltage. The average diameter of the fibers was decreased with increasing the polymer concentration up to 10wt%. It was also found that the nanofibers with uniform diameter distribution and fine diameter could be achieved at 15kV input voltage and 15 cm TCD.
Studies on software plagiarism detection, prevention and judgement have become widespread due to the growing of interest and importance for the protection and authentication of software intellectual property. Many previous studies focused on comparing all pairs of submitted codes by using attribute counting, token pattern, program parse tree, and similarity measuring algorithm. It is important to provide a clear-cut model for distinguishing plagiarism and collaboration. This paper proposes a source code clustering algorithm using a probability model on extreme value distribution. First, we propose an asymmetric distance measure pdist($P_a$, $P_b$) to measure the similarity of $P_a$ and $P_b$ Then, we construct the Plagiarism Direction Graph (PDG) for a given program set using pdist($P_a$, $P_b$) as edge weights. And, we transform the PDG into a Gumbel Distance Graph (GDG) model, since we found that the pdist($P_a$, $P_b$) score distribution is similar to a well-known Gumbel distribution. Second, we newly define pseudo-plagiarism which is a sort of virtual plagiarism forced by a very strong functional requirement in the specification. We conducted experiments with 18 groups of programs (more than 700 source codes) collected from the ICPC (International Collegiate Programming Contest) and KOI (Korean Olympiad for Informatics) programming contests. The experiments showed that most plagiarized codes could be detected with high sensitivity and that our algorithm successfully separated real plagiarism from pseudo plagiarism.
A mobile robot with various types of sensors and wireless camera is introduced. We show this mobile robot can detect objects well by combining the results of active sensors and image processing algorithm. First, to detect objects, active sensors such as infrared rays sensors and supersonic waves sensors are employed together and calculates the distance in real time between the object and the robot using sensor's output. The difference between the measured value and calculated value is less than 5%. We focus on how to detect a object region well using image processing algorithm because it gives robots the ability of working for human. This paper suggests effective visual detecting system for moving objects with specified color and motion information. The proposed method includes the object extraction and definition process which uses color transformation and AWUPC computation to decide the existence of moving object. Shape information and signature algorithm are used to segment the objects from background regardless of shape changes. We add weighing values to each results from sensors and the camera. Final results are combined to only one value which represents the probability of an object in the limited distance. Sensor fusion technique improves the detection rate at least 7% higher than the technique using individual sensor.

In this study, aimed at improving the existing acoustic emission sensor for real time monitoring, a macro-fiber composite (MFC) transducer was employed as the acoustic emission sensor in the gas leak detection system. Prior to implementation, structural analysis was conducted to optimize the MFC's design. Consequently, the flexibility of the MFC facilitated excellent adherence to curved pipes, enabling the reception of acoustic emission (AE) signals without complications. Analysis of AE signals revealed substantial variations in parameter values for both high-pressure and low-pressure leaks. Notably, in the parameters of the Fast Fourier Transform (FFT) graph, the change amounted to 120% to 626% for high-pressure leaks compared to the case without leaks, and approximately 9% to 22% for low-pressure leaks. Furthermore, depending on the distance from the leak site, the magnitude of change in parameters tended to decrease as the distance increased. As the results, in the future, not only will it be possible to detect a leak by detecting the amount of parameter change in the future, but it will also be possible to identify the location of the leak from the amount of change.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to evaluate the effect of the kV on fractal dimension of trabecular bone in digital radiographs. Materials and Methods: 16 bone cores were obtained from patients who had taken partial resection of tibia due to accidents. Each bone core along with an aluminum step wedge was radiographed with an occlusal film at 0.08 sec and with the constant film-focus distance (32 cm). All radiographs were acquired at 60, 75, and 90 kV. A rectangular ROI was drawn at medial part, distal part, and the bone defect area of each bone core image according to each kV. The directional fractal dimension was measured using Fourier Transform spectrum, and the anisotropy was obtained using directional fractal dimension. The values were compared by the repeated measures ANOVA. Results : The fractal dimensions increased along with kV increase (p < 0.05). The anisotropy measurements did not show statistically significant difference according to kV change. The fractal dimensions of the bone defect areas of the bone cores have low values contrast to the non-defect areas of the bone cores. The anisotropy measurements of the bone defect areas were lower than those of the non-defect areas of the bone cores, but not statistically significant. Conclusion: Fractal analysis can notice a difference of a change of voltage of x-ray tube and bone defect or not. And anisotropy of a trabecular bone is coherent even with change of the voltage of x-ray tube or defecting off a part of bone.
This study presents the numerical results of soil-water characteristic curve for sandy soil by pore network model. The Jumunjin sand is subjected to the high resolution 3D X-ray computed tomographic imaging and its pore structure is constructed by the web of pore body and pore channel. The channel radius, essential to the computation of capillary pressure, is obtained based on the skeletonization and Euclidean Distance transform. The experimentally obtained soil-water characteristic curve corroborates the numerically estimated one. The pore channel radius defined by minimum radii of pore throat results in the slightly overestimation of air entry value, while the overall evolution of capillary pressure resides in the acceptable range. The relative permeability computed by a series of suggested models runs above that obtained by pore network model at high degree of saturation.

The pressure drop characteristics in a rotating two-pass duct with rib turbulators are investigated in the present study. The square duct has a hydraulic diameter $(D_h)$ of 26.7 mm, and $1.5mm{\times}1.5mm$ square $90^{\circ}-rib$ turbulators are attached on the leading and trailing walls. The pitch-to-rib height ratio (p/e) is 10. The distance between the tip of the divider and the outer wall of the duct is $1.0D_h$ and the width of divider wall is 6.0mm or $0.225D_h$. The Reynolds number (Re) based on the hydraulic diameter is kept constant at 10,000 to exclude the Reynolds effect, and the rotation number (Ro) is varied from 0.0 to 0.20. The pressure drop distribution, the friction factor and thermal performance are presented for the leading, trailing and the outer surfaces. It is found that the curvature of the $180^{\circ}$-turn produces Dean vortices that cause high pressure drop in the turn. The channel rotation results in pressure drop discrepancy between leading and trailing surfaces so that non-dimensional pressure drops are higher on the trailing surface in the first-pass and on the leading and side surfaces in the second-pass. In the turning region, Dean vortices shown in the stationary case transform into one large asymmetric vortex cell, and subsequent pressure drop characteristics also change. As the rotation number increases, the pressure drop discrepancy enlarges.
In this paper we have presented a two dimensional model based tracking system using improved chamfer matching. Conventional chamfer matching could not calculate similarity well between the object and image when there is very cluttered background. Then we have improved chamfer matching to calculate similarity well even in very cluttered background with edge and corner feature points. Improved chamfer matching is used as likelihood function of particle filter which tracks the geometric object. Geometric model which uses edge and corner feature points, is a discriminant descriptor in color changes. Particle Filter is more non-linear tracking system than Kalman Filter. Then the presented method uses geometric model, particle filter and improved chamfer matching for tracking object in complex environment. In experimental result, the robustness of our system is proved by comparing other methods.

A key component of autonomous navigation of intelligent home robot is localization and map building with recognized features from the environment. To validate this, accurate measurement of relative location between robot and features is essential. In this paper, we proposed relative localization algorithm based on 3D reconstruction of scale invariant features of two images which are captured from two parallel cameras. We captured two images from parallel cameras which are attached in front of robot and detect scale invariant features in each image using SIFT(scale invariant feature transform). Then, we performed matching for the two image's feature points and got the relative location using 3D reconstruction for the matched points. Stereo camera needs high precision of two camera's extrinsic and matching pixels in two camera image. Because we used two cameras which are different from stereo camera and scale invariant feature point and it's easy to setup the extrinsic parameter. Furthermore, 3D reconstruction does not need any other sensor. And the results can be simultaneously used by obstacle avoidance, map building and localization. We set 20cm the distance between two camera and capture the 3frames per second. The experimental results show :t6cm maximum error in the range of less than 2m and ${\pm}15cm$ maximum error in the range of between 2m and 4m.
