  • Recently, as Virtual Desktop Infrastructure(VDI) is widely used not only in office work environments but also in workloads that use high-spec multi-core-based applications, the requirements for real-time and stability of VDI are increasing. Accordingly, the display protocol used for remote access in VDI and performance optimization of virtual machines have also become more important. In this paper, we propose two ways to configure desktop virtualization for multi-core-based application operation. First, we propose a codec configuration of a display protocol with optimal performance in a high load situation due to multi-processing. Second, we propose a virtual CPU scheduling optimization method to reduce scheduling delay in case of CPU contention between virtual machines. As a result of the test, it was confirmed that the H.264 codec of Blast Extreme showed the best and stable frame, and the scheduling performance of the virtual CPU was improved through scheduling optimization.

  • The research focused quantitative comparisons of protocols occurring in the architectural massing process using two different tools, three-dimensional(3D) modeler and traditional design tools, to aid architectural massing education. Through the protocol analysis from some experiments, the research identified the following conclusions: 1) Usage of traditional tools produced much higher protocol rate in proposing solution, evaluating proposed solution, explicitness of strategies. This result seemed to be from convenience of traditional tools causing faster visual cognitive cycle. 2) Usage of 3D modeler produced much higher protocol rate concerning attempts of making design vocabulary. The result indicated 3D modeler has relatively effective functions for mass generation and orientation, however it still has some weaknesses on display interface which cause designer's lower idea generations compared to traditional design tools.

  • In this paper, we're compared network protocol which is network lifetime longer when using LEACH Protocol, SEP, and TEEN in a heterogeneous Wireless Sensor Network with a Large Sensor Area. Also, we propose a method of divided layer the wide-area sensor filed and transmitting a multi-hop to improve the network lifetime. And we're compared network protocol which is network lifetime more improved apply the proposed method to LEACH Protocol, SEP, and TEEN. We tried to compare results, TEEN showed the best network lifetime. Apply the proposed method to divided the sensor field, L-TEEN (Layered TEEN)'s network lifetime rates of improvement is highest.

  • In this study, a MDDI protocol packet generation method that is implemented in software is proposed. MDDI protocol is used widely for display device. In this study, MDDI protocol packets are generated by software within micro processor. This method needs minimum hardware configuration. For implementation of this method, we design a hardware platform with a high performance microprocessor and a FPGA. The packets generated by software within microprocessor is converted into LVDS signals, and transmitted by hardware within FPGA.

  • Modified-polyol protocol was utilized for synthesis of green-emitting ($^5D_4-^7F_j$ transitions of $Tb^{3+}$ ion) nanocrystalline $LaPO_4:Ce^{3+}$, $Tb^{3+}$ phosphors. Experimental parameters including chemical composition and annealing temperature were optimized to produce highly efficient, uniformly sized nanophosphors. Spin-deposited layer of $LaPO_4:Ce^{3+}$, $Tb^{3+}$ nanophosphors on glass substrate exhibited a transmittance of more than 80 %, indicating their efficacy for transparent display.

  • Typically internal mobile LCD display modules are connected to the mobile product baseband PCB with flexible printed circuit board equipped with board-to-board connector. This solution has a drawback of limiting the product concept work to certain solutions that are based on connector size, location, flexible PCB length, bending, etc. in the display module. Also flexible printed circuit board based solutions are not completely optimized from reliability point of view, causing flex circuit board breakings. For the external displays in the PC or Home entertainment market, the cable solution is too expensive and resource demanding. The wireless solution has obvious advantages over reliability, low cost and flexibility. This paper describes a wireless audio-visual interface solution.

  • Sensor Networks (WSNs) can be defined as a self-configured and infrastructure-less wireless networks to monitor physical or environmental conditions, such as temperature, sound, vibration, pressure, motion or pollutants and to cooperatively pass their data through the network to a main location or base-station where the data can be observed and analyzed. Typically a wireless sensor network contains hundreds of thousands of sensor nodes. The sensor nodes can communicate among themselves using radio signals. A wireless sensor node is equipped with sensing and computing devices, radio transceivers and power components. The individual nodes in a wireless sensor network (WSN) are inherently resource constrained: they have limited processing speed, storage capacity, communication bandwidth and limited-battery power. At present time, most of the research on WSNs has concentrated on the design of energy- and computationally efficient algorithms and protocols In order to extend the network life-time, in this paper we are looking into a routing protocol, especially LEACH and LEACH-related protocol. LEACH protocol is a representative routing protocol and improves overall network energy efficiency by allowing all nodes to be selected to the cluster head evenly once in a periodic manner. In LEACH, in case of movement of sensor nodes, there is a problem that the data transmission success rate decreases. In order to overcome LEACH's nodes movements, LEACH-Mobile protocol had proposed. But energy consumption increased because it consumes more energy to recognize which nodes moves and re-transfer data. In this paper we propose the new routing protocol considering nodes' mobility. In order to simulate the proposed protocol, we make a scenario, nodes' movements randomly and compared with the LEACH-Mobile protocol.

  • In this paper, we have developed a system for monitoring and processing the real time sensor data in remote site through Internet. For realizing this system, measurement equipment and protocol are used to transmit the measurement data to remote server and to process measurement data. In server part, the received data from remote site sensor is converted to text or graphic charts for user. The measurement device in sensor part receives the sensor data form sensor and store the received data to its internal memory for transmitting data to server part through Internet. Also the measurement device can receive data form server. The temperature sensor is corrected to the measurement device located in laboratory and the measurement device measures temperature of laboratory which can be confirmed by user through Internet. We have developed a server program working on the Linux to store measurement data from measurement device to server memory. The program is use for SNMP(Simple Network Management Protocol) to exchange data with measurement device. Also the program changes the measurement data into text and graphic charts for user display. The program is use apache PHP program for user display and inquiry. The real time temperature measurement system can be applly for many parts of industry and living.

  • The most important factor in the wireless sensor network is the use of effective energy and increase in lifetime of the individual nodes in order to operate the wireless network more efficiently. For this purpose, various routing protocols have been developed. The LEACH such a protocol, well known among typical cluster routing protocols. However, when a cluster head is selected, the energy consumption may not be equal because it does not take into account the energy of the nodes. In this paper, we seek to improve the cluster head selection method according to residual energy of each sensor node. This method then adaptively applies the LEACH algorithm and the cluster head section algorithm with consideration of node energy in accordance with the energy of the whole sensor field. Through the simulation, it was found that this proposed algorithm was effective.
