The study for selecting an appropriate value of input capacitor in dispersed generation PV inverter

  • Most PV (Photovoltaic) inverters are a voltage source type. Normally an input capacitor of this type is connected at the input of an inverter to keep the DC voltage constant. However, it does not seem to be well known how to determine the appropriate value of the capacitor. By developing non-linear transient analysis, the author suggests a guideline fur this approach. An implicit trapezoidal formula was used to do this calculation.

  • 분산형전원 (Dispersed Storage and Generation System)이란 원자력이나 대용량 화력 등과 같은 집중적이고 대용량이 아닌 소용량의 전력저장시스템이나 발전시스템을 일컫는 말로서 소수력, 태양광, 바이오, 풍력 등의 대체에너지 전원, 소용량의 열병합발전시스템, 전기 등을 이용한 전력 저장시스템이 그 예라 하겠다. 이러한 분산형전원은 그 단어 뜻대로 대규모 전력계통에 비하여 분산되어 있기 때문에 관리가 어렵고 전력계통에 연계될 경우 여러가지 문제를 야기시키게 된다. 이러한 문제중 가장 큰 것은 계통의 전압변동의 요인이 되는 것이고 보호협조 문제 또한 무시할 수 없는 것이다. 더우기 보안상 단독운전이 될 경우를 방지하여야 하고 고조파문제, 계통단락용량 증대문제 등도 염려가 되는 문제이다.

  • We now expect the various dispersed generation system installation to the power distribution system in a unexpected manner. If so, the power utility may experience the several unexpected problems such as voltage variation, harmonic distortion etc. In order to test the various phenomena related to the fault, we developed the fuel cell simulator and fault simulator. Several kinds of fault cases are tried. Test results and analysis are shown in this paper.

  • This paper will be introduce a new paradigm and prospects for energy supply system in near future which produces electric and district heat cogeneration with dispersed power grid with small nuclear power units. Recently, in nuclear field, a lot of effort has been done in nuclear major countries to develop small and medium reactor for enhancement of nuclear peaceful use as like in district heating, electric power generation, seawater desalination or hydrogen generation. This paper presents a new way and prospects for power source in distribution system by using the distributed & remote cogeneration system using small reactor.

  • The next generation domestic high speed railway system is a power dispersed type and uses vector control method for motor speed control. Nowadays, inverter driven induction motor system is widely used. However, recently PMSM drives are deeply considered as a alternative candidate instead of an induction motor driven system due to their advantages in efficiency, noise reduction and maintenance. In this paper, the maximum torque control approach is presented for the IPMSM drives with reluctance torque. The applied control method uses maximum torque control per ampere technique. Simulation programs based on Matlab/Simulink are developed. Finally the designed system is verified by simulation and their characteristics are analyzed by the simulation results.

  • Multi-walled carbon nanotube (MWCNT)-copper (Cu) composites are successfully fabricated by a combination of a binder-free wet mixing and spark plasma sintering (SPS) process. The SPS is performed under various conditions to investigate optimized processing conditions for minimizing the structural defects of CNTs and densifying the MWCNT-Cu composites. The electrical conductivities of MWCNT-Cu composites are slightly increased for compositions containing up to 1 vol.% CNT and remain above the value for sintered Cu up to 2 vol.% CNT. Uniformly dispersed CNTs in the Cu matrix with clean interfaces between the treated MWCNT and Cu leading to effective electrical transfer from the treated MWCNT to the Cu is believed to be the origin of the improved electrical conductivity of the treated MWCNT-Cu composites. The results indicate the possibility of exploiting CNTs as a contributing reinforcement phase for improving the electrical conductivity and mechanical properties in the Cu matrix composites.

  • 열병합발전 시스템은 환경 친화적인 동시에 상대적으로 고 효율의 에너지 시스템으로서 분산 방전설비의 혁신 기술중 하나이다, 아울러 열병합발전 시스템운 열과 전기의 분산공급에 적절한 발전 시스템이다. 그러나, 열병합발전 시스템의 계통 연계는 전압 소정, 전압변동, 보호협조, 안전등의 제반 연제문제를 수반한다. 특히, 이러한 연계문제 중 열병합발전 시스템의 배전계통 연계.분리 운전은 배전계통의 전압조정 및 변동에 영향을 미칠 것이 예상된다. 최근 수용가 소유의 컴퓨터 및 민감한 전자소자의 사용 증가로 인하여 전력품질온 중요한 고려사항이 되고 있다. 따라서 열병합발전 시스템과 관련한 전압품질은 반드시 분석되어야만 한다. 왜냐하면 전압품질은 전력 품질의 중요한 요소이기 때문이다. 본 논문에서는 열병합발전 시스템의 배전계통 연계 운전에 따른 순서전압변통 에 대하여 컴퓨터 시물레이션을 롱하여 분석하였고、 또한 이의 억제 대책을 제시하였다. 아울러 순시전압변동 측면에서 본 피더 당 열병합발전시스템의 단위 도입 용량을 평가하였다. 본 논문의 결과는 열병합발전 시스템 또는 분산형 전원의 계통 연계 표준. 가이드라인에 유용한 자료가 되리라 믿는다.

  • The paper summarizes the irradiation test and post-irradiation examination (PIE) data for the U-Mo low-enriched fuel that was irradiated in the MIR reactor under the RERTR Program. The PIE data were analyzed for both full-size fuel rods and mini-rods with atomized powder dispersed in Al matrix as well as with additions of 2%, 5% and 13% of silicon in the matrix and ZrN protective coating on the fuel particles. The full-size fuel rods were irradiated up to an average burnup of ${\sim}60%^{235}U$; the mini-rods were irradiated to an average burnup of ${\sim}85%^{235}U$. The presented data show a significant increase of the void fraction in the U-Mo alloy as the U-235 burnup rises from ~ 40% up to ~ 85%. The effect of irradiation test conditions and U-235 burnup were analyzed with regard to the formation of an interaction layer between the matrix and fuel particles as well as generation of porosity in the U-Mo alloy. Shown here are changes in distribution of U fission products as the U-235 burnup increases from ~ 40% up to ~ 85%.

Electrocatalysis of Selective Chlorine Evolution Reaction: Fundamental Understanding and Catalyst Design

  • The electrochemical chlorine evolution reaction (CER) is an important electrochemical reaction and has been widely used in chlor-alkali electrolysis, on-site generation of ClO-, and Cl2-mediated electrosynthesis. Although precious metal-based mixed metal oxides (MMOs) have been used as CER catalysts for more than half a century, they intrinsically suffer from a selectivity problem between the CER and parasitic oxygen evolution reaction (OER). Hence, the design of selective CER electrocatalysts is critically important. In this review, we provide an overview of the fundamental issues related to the electrocatalysis of the CER and design strategies for selective CER electrocatalysts. We present experimental and theoretical methods for assessing the active sites of MMO catalysts and the origin of the scaling relationship between the CER and the OER. We discuss kinetic analysis methods to understand the kinetics and mechanisms of CER. Next, we summarize the design strategies for new CER electrocatalysts that can enhance the reactivity of MMO-based catalysts and overcome their scaling relationship, which include the doping of MMO catalysts with foreign metals and the development of non-precious metal-based catalysts and atomically dispersed metal catalysts.

계통연계 태양광발전시스템용 단상 인버터의 설계 및 제어 (Design and Control of the Single-phase Inverter for Utility Interactive Photovoltaic Generation System)

  • 최근 태양전지, 연료전지를 이용한 새로운 발전시스템이 개발중에 있다. 특히 소규모 분산형 계통연계 태양광발전시스템은 가까운 장래에 폭 넓게 보급될것으로 예상된다. 태양전지 어레이를 계통선과 결합하는데 사용되는 인버터는 전체 태양광발전시스템의 성능을 결정하는 중요한 요소이다. 본 논문에서는 고조파를 포함한 무효전력 보상능력을 갖는 단상 태양광 인버터 시스템의 설계 및 제어기법을 제시하였다. 제안된 인버터 시스템에 의해 정류기 부하에 의해 발생된 무효전력이 보상될 수 있음을 실험결과로 보여준다.
