금속 수소화물 전극제조에 있어서 알카리 무전해 구리 도금법의 응용 (Application of an electroless copper coating in alkaline bath to preparation of the metal hydride electrode)

  • Electroless copper plating method using an alkaline bath have been employed in copper coating of the (LM)Ni4.5Co0.1MnO.2A10.2 hydrogen storage alloy powders for electrode preparation. The plating were conducted without any pretreatment of alloy powders. For the preparation of the electrodes, about 0.12g of the copper coated alloy powder (copper to alloy ratio 1/3 by weight) was compacted with pressure of 6 tons/cm2 at room temperature. The disk-type compacts had a diameter of 10mm and thickness of about 0.24mm. The electrode characteristics were examined through SEM observations and electrochemical measurements in a half cell. The electrochemical measurement showed that the maximum discharge capacity of the electrodes prepared by using alkaline bath were 245mAh per gram of coated alloy (327mAh per gram of alloy) and appeared a considerable degradation with increasing number of cycles. The decrease of the discharge capacity after 100 cycles was about 30% It can be suggested that, with a slight of improvement, this electroless copper plating method could be applied to the preparation of the rare earth-nickel based alloy electrode.

Sol-Gel 법으로 제조한 알루미나 담체의 $TiO_2$ 복합 한외여과막의 특성 (Characteristics of Alumina-Supported TiO2 Composite Ultrafiltration Membranes Prepared by the Sol-Gel Method)

  • Alumina supports for TiO2 ultrafiltration membrane coating were prepared by presintering disk-type preforms at 140$0^{\circ}C$. These supports showed uniform microstructures which had the apparent porosity of 40%, the pore size distribution in the range of 0.1~0.5${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$, and the water flux of 1400ι/$m^2$.h at the pressure difference of 10 atm. The optimum pH and concentration of the TiO2 sol for coating were 0.8 and 1.0 wt%, respectively, and sol particles were identified as rutile forms of 20 nm size. Crack-free alumina-supported rutile TiO2 membranes could be prepared through well controlled drying and heating the gel layer coated by the sol-gel dipping. The pore size of the TiO2 membranes heat-treated at 50$0^{\circ}C$ for 2 hrs was 30~80$\AA$, and their thickness varied from 1.1 to 3.8 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$ in accordence with the dipping time (4~40 min). The flux of water through this composite membrane at 10 atm was found to be in the range from 800 to 1100ι/$m^2$.hr depending on the dipping time (10~40 min). The membrane thickness increased linearly with the square root of the dipping time and the slope was 0.62 ${\mu}{\textrm}{m}$/{{{{ SQRT { min} }}.

  • The influences of sodium chloride, polyethylene glycol 4000 and 20000 on 5-fluorouracil release from disk type silicone polymer devices were examined in isotonic phosphate buffer. These water soluble cosolvent and sodium chloride caused devices to swell in aqueous media. Sodium chloride exerted the greatest influence on drug release. The addition of water soluble cosolvent or sodium chloride to silicone polymeric devices permitted controlled release of 5-fluorouracil, presumably due to the change of the physical microstructure of silicone network, and the solubility and diffusivity of 5-fluorouracil. It seemed that the water soluble drug was released through the hydrophilic pores or pathways formed in the device by the incorporation of a water soluble cosolvent or sodium chloride.

  • The Ultra-high molecular weight polyethylene (UHMWPE) is exclusivity used as the articulation component with metal or ceramic materials in artificial joint prosthesis because of its good mechanical properties. In the long term however, wear of UHMWPE causes complex problems and hence causes loosening of He prosthesis. In this study, we tried to enhance the wear property of UHMWPE by attaching a hydrophilic graft on the UHMWPE surface and by improving surface hardness without deteriorating the mechanical properties of UHMWPE. This was achieved by ion implantation and by ${\gamma}$-irradiation to the surface in acrylic acid solution and by photo-polymerization in divinylbenzen (DVB), diallysophthalate (DAIP) solution. The wear test was performed by a wear testing machine of ball-on-disk type devised by the authors. The UHMWPE with hydrophlic surface and increased surface hardness developed by above treatments showed less volumetric wear.

  • 손상된 저장매체에 대해서 디지털포렌식 조사를 진행할 때 복구 도구를 활용한다. 하지만 사용하는 복구 도구에 따라서 복구 결과가 다른 문제가 존재한다. 그러므로 정확한 조사를 위해서는 도구의 성능과 한계점을 파악하여 사용할 필요가 있다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 파티션 복구 도구의 성능을 검증할 수 있도록 MBR, GPT 디스크 인식 방식과 FAT32, NTFS 파일시스템의 구조적 특징을 고려한 검증 시나리오를 제시한다. 그 후 검증 시나리오를 바탕으로 제작한 데이터 세트를 통하여 기존 복구 도구에 대한 성능 검증을 진행한다.

  • 임베디드 시스템에 많이 사용되는 리눅스 환경에는 FAT, NTFS, Ext2 등 다양한 파일 시스템이 사용된다. 임베디드 시스템에 탑재된 파일 시스템은 미니 하드 디스크 또는 플래시 메모리를 미디어로 채택하고 있다. 이러한 장치에 구현되는 파일 시스템의 종류는 응용 프로그램의 성능에 많은 영향을 미친다. 동일한 미디어에서 파일시스템의 성능요인은 블록 읽기, 블록 쓰기, 그리고 블록 해제 오버헤드이다. 이 중에서 블록 읽기와 블록 해제 성능은 파일시스템에 따라 큰 차이를 보이지 않는다. 이 논문에서는 리눅스에서 지원하는 다양한 파일시스템에서 블록 할당과 쓰기 성능을 벤치마킹한다. 다양한 실험을 통하여 얻어진 결과로부터 각 파일 시스템의 특성들을 살펴본다.

치과용 가시광선중합형 복합레진의 잔류단량체 정량분석에 관한 연구 (QUANTITATIVE ANALYSIS OF RESIDUAL MONOMERS IN VISIBLE LIGHT-CURED RESINS)

  • The purpose of this study was to estimate the contents of the residual monomers, such as Bis-GMA and TEGDMA. In this study, materials used were six kinds of anterior and posterior visible light-cured resins. Resins were placed in disk-shaped Teflon mold (8.5mm in diameter, 2.0mm in thickness), and cured for 20 seconds with visible light source attached wide diameter lightguide. The specimens were immersed in 10ml ethanol and stored for 5 days at $37^{\circ}C$. The concentration of residual monomers in eluate solution was analysed by HPLC, and the following results are obtained. 1. The residual Bis-GMA and TEGDMA were detected in all materials used, and the ranges of quantity of the residual Bis-GMA was 0.101-1.236 wt% and that of TEGDMA was 0.230-5.794 wt%.2. The contents of residual TEGDMA was detected higher than that of residual Bis-GMA (P < 0.01). 3. The content of residual monomers was detected to be highest in Bis-Fil M as microfilled type. 4. In most of the materials used, there was no significant difference in the contents of residual monomers between anterior and posterior light-cured resins.

  • ($Ti_{1-x}$ $Cr_{x}$ )N coatings were deposited by an ion-plating method in a reactor with two separate metal sources, Ti and Cr. Ti was evaporated using an electron beam, while Cr evaporation was carried out by resistant heating. The Ti and Cr concentrations in the coatings were controlled by the Ti and Cr evaporation ratio. The coating hardness increased with increasing the Cr content(x) and showed a maximum value of 6,000 HK at around x=0.8. The critical load of the coatings, measured by the scratch test, was around 30 N. The wear resistance properties of the ($Ti_{1-x}$$Cr_{ x}$)N coatings were evaluated using a CSEM pin-on-disk type tribometer. A Cr-steel ball as well as a SiC ball, which had hardness values of 590 HK and 2,600 HK respectively, were used as the pin. After the wear test, the surface morphology, roughness and the concentration of the coatings were investigated, with the main focus being on the effect of wear debris and the transferred layer on the wear behavior.

Sliding Wear Characteristics of plasma Sprayed $8\%Y_{2}O_3-ZrO_2$ Coating for Post-spray Heat Treatment

  • Plasma ceramic spray that is applied on a machine part under severe work conditions has been investigated for tribological behavior. The application of ceramic coatings by plasma spray has become essential in tribosystems to produce wear resistance and long life in severe conditions. The purpose of this study was to investigate the wear characteristics of $8\%Y_{2}O_3-ZrO_2$ coating, in view of the effect of post-spay heat treatment. The plasma-sprayed $8\%Y_{2}O_3-ZrO_2$ coating was studied to know the relationship between phase transformations and wear behavior related to post-spray heat treatment. Wear test was carried out with ball on disk type on normal loads of 50N,70N and 90N under room temperature. The phase transformation of phase and the value of residual stress were measured by X-ray diffraction method(XRD). Tribological characteristics and wear mechanisms of coatings were observed by SEM. The tribological wear performance was discussed in the focusing of residual stress. Consequently, post-spray heat treatment plays an important role in decreasing residual stress. Residual stress in the coating system has a significant influence on the wear mechanism of coating.

재료의 표면파괴와 마멸특성에 대한 표면 형상의 영향 (The effect of surface profile on wear and scuffing of bounda lubricated sliding surfaces)

  • In this paper the ball-on-disk type sliding tests with boundary lubricated steels were carried out to verify the relation between surface profiles and wear as well as scuffing. Three kinds of surface roughness and asperity radius were produced on AISI 1045 steels using the different processes of grinding and polishing. Frictional forces and time to scuffing were measured. Also, the shape and amount of wear particles were analyzed to compare with original profiles. From the tests, it was confirmed that the size of wear particles are very related to original surface profile. The time to failures and wear amounts were sensitive to the surface spacing. The large surface spacing shows much longer sliding life and smaller wear amount than the others. Time to scuffing was increased with increasing surface profile spacing. The size of wear particles was increased and the amount was decreased with increasing surface profile spacing. Wear volume and wear rate K were decreased with increasing surface profile spacing. And after sliding tests, surface cracks of inner parts of the wear track occurred scuffing were observed and compared the differences about each specimen having the different surface profile spacing.
