다중 채널 디지털 보청기 알고리즘의 고정 소수점 연산 최적화 (Fixed-point Optimization of a Multi-channel Digital Hearing Aid Algorithm)

  • 본 논문에서는 저 전력 시스템에 적합한 고정 소수점 연산기로 구현된 다중 채널 디지털 보청기 알고리즘의 최적화 기법을 제시한다. 먼저 입력 신호를 고속 MDCT(modified discrete cosine transform) 방법을 사용하여 주파수 대역 분할함으로써 알고리듬의 복잡도를 최소화 하였고, MDCT 출력을 비선형 대역 분할 과정을 거쳐 채널별 그룹핑을 한 다음, 각 채널 신호를 난청인의 청각 손실 정도에 따라 구성한 라우드니스 보상 함수(loudness compensation function: LCF)표를 이용하여 이득을 조절하고, 최종적으로 TDAC 기법을 구현하는 IMDCT(Inverse MDCT) 변환을 거쳐 보상된 출력을 합성한다. 모든 과정은 16비트 정수 연산으로 구현되며, 이득을 계산하기 위해 측정되는 로그 단위의 연산 과정은 미리 계산된 테이블과 고속 탐색 알고리듬을 이용하여 구현된다. 구성된 보청기 알고리즘의 성능을 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 통해 평가하였다.

  • Ready-mixed concrete is unconsolidated concrete typically transported to construction sites by using mixer trucks. A proper rotation of concrete is necessary to prevent its solidification in mixer trucks during transport: in accordance with the manufacturing method and quality inspection prescribed in KSF4009, this movement is maintained after the manufacturing of concrete in professional production plants and the addition of water, solid materials, and admixtures. Unfortunately, mixer truck parts wear out over long periods of time. In order to improve the wear resistance of the main part of mixer trucks, we used a steel plate with good wear resistance or partially added a reinforcement plate. In this study, we first tested the properties of concrete (as required for the DEM), and then carried out mixing and discharge simulations to define the actual operating conditions of mixer trucks. For each condition, we calculated the amount and location of wear. The reliability of our results was finally verified by comparing them with the measurement values. Overall, this study provided basic data for an optimal design of mixer trucks: one that would reduce the vehicles' weight and production costs.

Solving the Discrete Logarithm Problem for Ephemeral Keys in Chang and Chang Password Key Exchange Protocol

  • The present study investigates the difficulty of solving the mathematical problem, namely the DLP (Discrete Logarithm Problem) for ephemeral keys. The DLP is the basis for many public key cryptosystems. The ephemeral keys are used in such systems to ensure security. The DLP defined on a prime field $Z^*_p of random prime is considered in the present study. The most effective method to solve the DLP is the ICM (Index Calculus Method). In the present study, an efficient way of computing the DLP for ephemeral keys by using a new variant of the ICM when the factors of p-1 are known and small is proposed. The ICM has two steps, a pre-computation and an individual logarithm computation. The pre-computation step is to compute the logarithms of a subset of a group and the individual logarithm step is to find the DLP using the precomputed logarithms. Since the ephemeral keys are dynamic and change for every session, once the logarithms of a subset of a group are known, the DLP for the ephemeral key can be obtained using the individual logarithm step. Therefore, an efficient way of solving the individual logarithm step based on the newly proposed precomputation method is presented and the performance is analyzed using a comprehensive set of experiments. The ephemeral keys are also solved by using other methods, which are efficient on random primes, such as the Pohlig-Hellman method, the Van Oorschot method and the traditional individual logarithm step. The results are compared with the newly proposed individual logarithm step of the ICM. Also, the DLP of ephemeral keys used in a popular password key exchange protocol known as Chang and Chang are computed and reported to launch key recovery attack.

H.264의 가변 블록 크기 움직임 추정 및 공간 예측 부호화 생략에 의한 고속 모드 결정법 (Fast mode decision by skipping variable block-based motion estimation and spatial predictive coding in H.264)

  • ITU-T(International Telecommunication Union-Telecommunication standardization sector)와 MPEG(Moving Picture Experts Group)에 의해서 최근 표준화가 완성된 H.264는 가변 블록 크기 움직임 추정, 복수참조영상, 1/4화소 움직임 예측/보상, 4×4 정수 DCT(Integer Discrete Cosine Transform), 율-왜곡 최적화(Rate-Distortion Optimization) 등의 새로운 부호화 기술로 H.263, MPEG-4 등 기존 비디오 표준에 비해 더 좋은 부호화 효율을 제공하고 있다. 그러나 새로운 부호화 기술들은 H.264 의 전반적인 복잡도를 심화시키는 주된 요인이기도 하다. 따라서, H.254 의 실제 응용을 용이하게 하기 위해서는 이러한 기술에 대한 고속 알고리즘이 요구된다. 본 논문에서는 율-왜곡 최적화를 통한 부호화 모드 결정시 부호화기의 복잡도에서 가장 큰 비중을 차지하는 가변 블록 크기 움직임 추정 및 공간예측 부호화를 효율적으로 생략하여 부호화 모드 결정을 빠르게 수행하는 고속 모드 결정법을 제안한다. 실험결과, 제안된 방법은 부호화 효율의 손실이 거의 없으면서도 계산법을 약 4배 향상시킨다.

선택실험법을 이용한 의약품 급여결정기준에 대한 선호분석 (Eliciting stated preferences for drugs reimbursement decision criteria in South Korea)

  • The purpose of this study is to elicit preference for drug listing decision criteria and to estimate the ICER threshold in South Korea using the discrete choice experiment (DCE) method. To collect the data, a DCE survey was administered to a subject sample either educated in the principle concepts of pharmacoeconomics or were decision makers within that field. Subjects chose between alternative drug profiles differing in four attributes: ICER, uncertainty, budget impact and severity of disease. The orthogonal and balanced designs were determined through computer algorithm to take the optimal set of drug profiles. The survey employed 15 hypothetical choice sets. A random effect probit model was used to analyze the relative importance of attributes and the probabilities of a recommendation response. Parameter estimates from the models indicated that three attributes (ICER, Impact, Severity of disease) influenced respondents' choice significantly(p${\pm}$0.001). In addition, each parameter displayed an expected sign. The Lower the ICER, the higher the probability of choosing that alternative. Respondents also preferred low levels of uncertainty and smaller impact on health service budget. They were also more likely to choose drugs for serious diseases rather than mild or moderate ones. Uncertainty however is not statistically significant. The ICER threshold, at which the probability of a recommendation was 0.5, was 29,000,000 KW/QALY in expert group and 46,500,000 KW/QALY in industry group. We also found that those in our sample were willing to accept high ICER to get medication for severe diseases. This study demonstrates that the cost-effectiveness, budget impact and severity of disease are the main reimbursement decision criteria in South Korea, and that DCE can be a useful tool in analyzing the decision making process where a variety of factors are considered and prioritized.

구매빈도별 피자전문점 선택에 미치는 속성의 영향 평가 (Estimating Effects of Attributes on Choice of Pizza Restaurants by Purchase Frequency)

  • The purpose of this study is to measure the pizza purchasing behavioral characteristics of respondents and importances of factors affecting pizza purchase, to estimate the effects of attributes on choice of pizza restaurant, and to predict probability of selecting a particular pizza restaurant. The questionnaire consisted of two parts: The paired experimental profiles, purchasing behavior and importances of factors affecting pizza purchase. This study generated profiles of 16 hypothetical pizza restaurants based on seven attributes. The profiles comprised 16 discrete sets of variables, each of which had two levels. For this study, researcher randomly selected 150 university students as respondents. Twenty one students did not complete the survey instrument, resulting in a final sample size of 129. All estimations were carried out using frequencies, $X^2$, independent samples t-test, phreg procedure of SAS package. The results were as followed: Some purchasing behavioral characteristics and importances of factors affecting pizza purchase were significantly different by purchase frequency. Based on the estimated models developed for the two purchase frequency groups, the Chi-square statistics were significant at p<0.001. The parameter estimate for late delivery time with frequently purchase frequency group was highest, and the parameter estimate for price with frequently purchase frequency group was highest. The pizza restaurants that charged 20,000 won, offered 100% discount on eleventh pizza, promised to deliver pizza in 20 min, usually delivered the pizza as promised, offered 2 or more types of pizza crust, delivered steaming hot pizza, and did not offer a money-back guarantee which was favored by each of the two purchase frequency groups. The results from this study suggested that there was an opportunity to increase market share and profit by improving operations so that customers can receive discount and money-back guarantee simultaneously, and by reducing price, delivery time.

  • 건설폐기물 발생량은 매년 꾸준하게 상승하고 있으며 재활용촉진 법이 재정되어있지만 콘크리트-시멘트페이스트 간의 단체분리 저하로 인해 높은 흡수율과 낮은 밀도로 순환골재 품질 기준에 제시되어 있는 콘크리트용 순환골재로서 사용되기 어려운 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 순환골재의 품위 향상에 필수적인 몰타르 제거를 위하여 다단형 임팩트 크러셔를 사용하였다. 장비의 특성을 분석하는데 있어서 전산 모사 방법인 DEM (Discrete Element Method)를 이용하여 영상 분석을 이용한 내부 입자의 거동 특징과, 투입 입자-장비의 각 부분에 발생하는 에너지의 스펙트럼을 분석하였다. 내부벽, 가이더 및 임펠러의 힘의 크기를 발생하는 횟수에 따라 스펙트럼을 생성하여 효과적인 분석이 가능하였다. 효과적인 박리현상을 발생시키기 위하여, 저에너지 그룹의 충돌 횟수(L)와 파분쇄를 발생시키는 고에너지 그룹의 충돌 횟수(H)의 비율을 토대로 회전속도 900RPM의 조건이 적절함을 확인하였다.

5'-UTR 영역의 그룹특이적 염기서열에 의한 HGV의 계통분석 (Phylogenetic ANalysis of Hepatitis G Virus by Group-Specific Sequences in the 5-Untranslated Region)

  • 한국인 환자의 혈청에서 분리한 HGV 5'-UTR영역의 염기서열을 결정하였다. 이들 염기서열을 이미 보고된 서열들과 비교한 결과, 한국 분리주들은 일본 분리주들과 더 높은 상동성을 나타내어 지리적 격리에 의해 HGV의 염기서열의 변이가 축적되었음을 알 수 있다. 흥미롭게도 동일 지역에서 분리된 HGV 분리주들 간에는 고도로 보존되어 있어 HGV의 분류에 이용가능한 세 개의 영역이 5'-UTR에서 발견되었다. 이들 그룹-특이적 영역에 기초하여, 24 HGV 분리주들을 5개의 그룹으로 분류할 수 있었다.

  • Netted 레이다의 추적정보를 수집하기 위한 레이다 정보 통신망의 설계를 위하여 본 연구에서는 multi-static 레이다의 정보 전송용 근거리망을 공간적 계증구조로 분류하고 최하의 공간 계층인 group 계층의 통신 모델을 소프트웨어 모듈로 설계하여 이를 모듈간의 조합에 의한 기본적인 레이다 정보망 단위를 구성하므로써 여러가지 통신 link 형태에 대한 전송상태를 분석하였다. 각 통신 node에서의 데이터 전송에 관련된 프로세서들은 통계적 모델에 의한 알고리즘을 사용하였으며, 데이터 link를 통하여 이러한 부분적인 하위층 통신모델들을 하나의 지역망으로 구성한 후 내부 node의 전송성능 변화를 분석하였고 이에 따라 망구성전체에 대한 각 통신 link들의 전송특성 분석도 가능하였다.

Phylogenetic Contributions of Partial 26S rDNA Sequences to the Tribe Helleboreae (Ranunculaceae)

  • Monophyly and intergeneric relationships of the tribe Helleboreae, sensu Tamura, and related genera were studied using a 1,100-bp segment at the 5'end of the 26S ribosomal RNA gene. Forty-one OTUs, including eight species of the Helleboreae, were either directly sequenced or obtained from previous publications. Data were analyzed using distance and discrete character methods to infer phylogenetic relationships among the included taxa. The inferred phylogeny did not support monophyly of either Helleboreae or Cimicifugeae whose members were intermixed in our inferred phylogeny. This result is congruent with our previous study, which recommended against finely subdividing, suprageneric higher taxa within the R-chromosome group (subfamily Ranuncluloideae, sensu lato) until more molecular data were accumulated. Our data convincingly suggest the presence of the following three monophyletic groups: the Cimicifuga group (the clade of Actaea, Cimicifuga, Souliea, Eranthis, Anemonopsis, and Beesia), the Trollius group (the clade of Trollius, Megaleranthis, Adonis), and a clade including Anemonopsis and Beesia. Our data also suggest that Trollius and Megaleranthis might be congeners and Eranthis a paraphyletic group.
