Currently, partial discharge diagnosis in the field of prevention applied technology and diagnostic equipment is a possible strong limit to remove the noise generated by external or internal I still have one unreliable diagnosis. This technology is the noise removal from signal the time lag analysis algorithms technique is applied by a fundamental. Increasing the reliability in terms of technology spectrum frequence of analysis method for by applying the acquisition through the position of the frequency content and sources of traffic lights partial discharge of the acquisition of signal analysis to judge whether a way diagnosis the environment of the scene, and conditions. Partial discharge signal and make the discharge while building blocks were found through the Analysis. Spectrum frequence of Analysis and wide discharge part, to be more precise, in line with the various functions, including the analysis technique band. Diagnosis and comes up with advanced technology that can detect the presence of a position. This method is portable single device developed for maintenance and mobility and ease and convenience of getting caught by discharge of the pattern analysis and position detection method suitable for a new diagnosis will suggest.

We have developed an on-line ultrasonic detector to monitor partial discharge in an operating transformer. The ultrasonic sensor has 150[KHz] resonance frequency and contains a pre-amplifier with 60[㏈] gain. The on-line ultrasonic detector has 50~300[KHz] frequency band-pass filter to remove electrical and mechanical noises from the transformer. This detector has an ultrasonic signal discrimination algorithm which discriminates ultrasonic signals due to partial discharge in a transformer. A moving average method of ultrasonic signal number was employed to effectively monitor the increasing trend of the partial discharge. This paper describes an experience of partial discharge detection in a 154[㎸] operating transformer using an ultrasonic detector. With regards to gas analysis in oil, C2H2 gas was produced with a warning level in this transformer We detected ultrasonic signals on the transformer steel wall, and estimated the position of partial discharge. With further inspection, we found carbonized marks due to partial discharge on the supporting bolt which fastens the windings.
To measure discharge breakdown acoustic signal, Fabry-Perot interferometer fiber optic sensor is used. Fiber optic sensor array can measure the partial discharge acoustic signal caused by defect of power facilities such as power cables, transformers and gas insulation. Fabry-Perot interferometer is selected as an fiber optic sensor array. It is shown that Fabry-Perot fiber optic sensor array detected discharge breakdown acoustic signal, effectively.
This paper is described the development of on-line partial discharge detector for high voltage apparatus. This detector consists of acoustic and high frequency current sensors, amplifier part, A/D converter part, data communication part and computer. The contents of paper are characteristics of units and digital signal processing for reducing noise in partial discharge detection. We seek methods to do good digital signal processing for detection of partial discharge. We apply digital filtering methods to the elect Tic signal and a cross con-elation to the acoustic signal. This paper shows the characteristics of these filtering method and cross con-elation in partial discharge detection.

This paper deals with the multiresolution analysis of wavelet transform for partial discharge(PD). Test arrangement is based on the needle-plane electrode system and applied AC high voltage. The measured PD signal was decomposed into "approximations" and "details". The approximation are the high scale, low-frequency components of the PD signal. The details are the low-scale, high frequency components. The decomposition process are iterated to 3 level, with successive approximation being decomposed in turn, so that PD signal is broken down into many lower-resolution components. Through the procedure of signal wavelet transform, signal noise extraction and signal reconstruction, the signal is analyzed to determine the magnitude of PD.

The corona in oil, the surface discharge in oil, the void discharge which could be in a transformer were imitated by using three electrodes with different shapes and the frequency bands of each ultrasonic signal were measured. After emitting artificial noises toward the transformer, only ultrasonic signals were extracted by frequency filtering, from the ultrasonic signals with noises at partial discharge. As a result, it was confirmed that the ultrasonic signals due to the corona in oil, the surface discharge in oil, the void discharge could be distinguished from the noises.

This paper describes the analysis of the UHF signal characteristics due to the partial discharge sources which can exist in a GIS. For the experiment, a model GIS was made and 5 types of discharge source were created as follows; corona discharge, surface discharge, void discharge, discharge due to free particle, discharge from floating electrode. The frequency spectra and the phase characteristics of UHF signals were induced by UHF signal analysis. The results were quantified to systematically adapt to analyze the PD sources in the GIS and utilized as algorithm data based on the neural network for Back-Propagation Algorithm with a multi-layer structure. The perception rate of the constructed algorithm showed approximately 94[%] and 82[%] in learning and testing data, respectively.

The partial discharge(PD) signal, may seems to be stochastic and merely random, was investigated using the method to discern between chaos and random signal, e.g. correlation integral, Lyapunov characteristic exponents and etc. For the purpose of obtaining experimental data, partial discharge detecting system via computer aided acoustic sensor, detect PD signal from the insulating system, was used. While this method is very different from typical statistical analysis from the point of view of a nonlinear analysis, it can provide better interpretable criterion according to the time evolution with a degradation process in the same type insulating system.

The partial discharge of Cast-resin Transformer has a difficulty to be analyzed, because it is an abnormal condition signal of which stochastic characteristics varies with time variance. In this study, background noise coming from the outside of the cast-resin transformers through ground wire can be removed and only a discharge signal of which defects are simulated can be obtained, using the wavelet transform method, which is a time-frequency domain analysis technique. As a result, it was confirmed that de-noising using the SWT technique is the best efficient among three methods of the wavelet transform techniques.
In this paper, an optical fiber sensor(OF sensor) utilizing the principal of Sagnac interferometer was proposed to detect the discharge signals which generated from needle-sphere electrode system in insulating oil. The performance of OF sensor was checked by sinusoidal calibration signal generated by PZT acuator at 198kHz. The detected discharge signals consisted of acoustic signal and the electrical noise. The noise signal could be removed by digital low pass filter. It was demonstrated that the OF sensor in this research had a possibility to detect the discharge signals in power apparatus.
