WSDL과 CORBA IDL (WSDL and CORBA IDL)

  • CORBA has been a popular middleware, but recently Web Services has been emerging as a promising web middleware since it uses Internet established standards such as URL, HTTP, XML, and etc. CORBA uses IDL for describing CORBA object interface and Web Services uses WSDL for its description. Thus, in order to port or integrate CORBA objects into Web Services, one needs to understand the relationship between CORBA IDL and WSDL. In this paper, we analyze IDL and WSDL, and compare between two. It turns out that there exists a direct mapping between two, and that understanding operational environments and logic of two technologies is much more important in converting or integrating CORBA objects into Web services successfully.

직접 디지털 주파수 합성을 위한 효율적인 ROM 압축 방법 (Effective ROM Compression Methods for Direct Digital Frequency Synthesis)

  • 본 논문에서는 디지털 주파수 합성기의 구조에 대하여 연구하였다. 디지털 주파수 합성기는 높은 스펙트럼 순도로 빠른 주파수 전환이 가능하고, 현대의 확산 스펙트럼 무선통신 시스템에 널리 사용된다. 롬 기반의 디지털 주파수 합성기는 싸인 파형의 크기를 저장한 롬 테이블을 사용한다. 본 논문에서는 롬의 크기를 줄이는 세 가지 새로운 기술을 제안하였다. 새로운 기법 중 한 가지는 여러 개의 계층적 구조를 사용하였다. 다른 기법들은 계층적 롬 구조를 간단한 보간 기법으로 결합하였다. 이러한 기법으로 12비트의 싸인 파형을 생성하였다. 실험 결과 새롭게 제안한 기법은 기존 방법[1]에 비해 ROM 크기를 24%까지 줄일 수 있다.

  • 본 논문은 무선 센서 네트워크에 적용할 수 있을 정도로 단순한 효율적인 MP-DD(MultiPath-Direct Diffusion) 라우팅 방법을 제안한다. 기존의 DD(Direct Diffusion)는 하나의 최적 경로를 설정하여 사용하므로 특정 노드의 에너지가 많이 소모된다. 이에 반해 MP-DD는 네트워크 관리 노드 방향의 상위노드에 대한 정보를 가지고 다중 경로를 설정하여 사용한다. 시뮬레이션 결과 제안한 기법이 DD와 EAR(Energy Aware Routing)에 비해 망 생존성을 증가시킬 수 있음을 보여주었다.

초음파 성형시 진동전달 방향에 따른 미세패턴의 전사특성 고찰 (Replication Characteristics of Micro-Patterns according to the Vibration Transmission Direction in the Ultrasonic Imprinting Process)

  • The present study covers the ultrasonic patterning process to replicate micro-patterns on a polymer substrate. The ultrasonic patterning process uses ultrasonic waves to generate frictional heat between an ultrasonic horn and the polymer substrate, from which the surface region of the polymer substrate is softened sufficiently for the replication of micro-patterns. The ultrasonic patterning process can divided into two categories according to the direction of vibration transmission: direct patterning and indirect patterning. The direct patterning uses a patterned horn, and the ultrasonic vibration is transferred directly from the patterned horn to the substrate. On the contrary, the indirect patterning process uses a plain horn, and the micro-patterns are engraved on a mold that is located below the substrate. Thus, the micro-patterns are replicated as an indirect manner. In this study, these direct and indirect patterning processes are compared in terms of the replication characteristics. Additionally, the possibility of double-side patterning is also discussed in comparison with the conventional single-side patterning process.

  • 조명 변화에 적응적인 움직임 탐색 및 보상 방법과 2차원 다이렉트 모드 (2D Direct Mode)를 이용한 MVC (Multi-view Video Coding) 방법을 제안한다. 먼저, 공간적 및 시간적으로 인접한 영상으로부터 휘도 화소 값의 움직임 탐색 및 보상을 수행하기 위한 새로운 SAD (Sum of Absolute Difference) 측정 방법을 제안한다. 조명 변화에 적응적인 움직임 탐색 및 보상은 움직임 벡터의 정확도를 높이고, 비트의 절감을 위하여 새로운 SAD 계산식을 사용한다. 다음으로, 시점 간의 예측 시에 사용될 수 있는 2차원 다이렉트 모드는 MPEG-4 AVC의 시간적 다이렉트 모드 (Temporal Direct Mode)로부터 확장된 방식이다. 본 논문에서 제안된 MVC 방법은 MPEG-4 AVC의 Simulcast 부호화와 비교하여 약 0.8dB의 PSNR (Peak Signal-to-Noise Ratio) 향상을 보였다.

Assessment of the Contribution of Poultry and Pig Production to Greenhouse Gas Emissions in South Korea Over the Last 10 Years (2005 through 2014)

  • The goal of this study was to estimate the emissions of greenhouse gases (GHG), namely methane ($CH_4$), nitrous oxide ($N_2O$), and carbon dioxide ($CO_2$) from poultry and pig production in South Korea over the last 10 years (2005 through 2014). The calculations of GHG emissions were based on Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) guidelines. Over the study period, the $CH_4$ emission from manure management decreased in layer chickens, nursery to finishing pigs and gestating to lactating sows, but there was a gradual increase in $CH_4$ emission from broiler chickens and male breeding pigs. Both sows and nursery to finishing pigs were associated with greater emissions from enteric fermentation than the boars, especially in 2009. Layer chickens produced lower direct and indirect $N_2O$ emissions from 2009 to 2014, whereas the average direct and indirect $N_2O$ emissions from manure management for broiler chickens were 12.48 and $4.93Gg\;CO_2-eq/yr$, respectively. Annual direct and indirect $N_2O$ emissions for broiler chickens tended to decrease in 2014. Average $CO_2$ emission from direct on-farm energy uses for broiler and layer chickens were 46.62 and $136.56Gg\;CO_2-eq/yr$, respectively. For pig sectors, the $N_2O$ emission from direct and indirect sources gradually increased, but they decreased for breeding pigs. Carbon dioxide emission from direct on-farm energy uses reached a maximum of $53.93Gg\;CO_2-eq/yr$ in 2009, but this total gradually declined in 2010 and 2011. For boars, the greatest $CO_2$ emission occurred in 2012 and was $9.44Gg\;CO_2-eq/yr$. Indirect $N_2O$ emission was the largest component of GHG emissions in broilers. In layer chickens, the largest contributing factor to GHG emissions was $CO_2$ from direct on-farm energy uses. For pig production, the largest component of GHG emissions was $CH_4$ from manure management, followed by $CO_2$ emission from direct on-farm energy use and $CH_4$ enteric fermentation emission, which accounted for 8.47, 2.85, and $2.82Gg-CO_2/yr$, respectively. The greatest GHG emission intensity occurred in female breeding sows relative to boars. Overall, it is an important issue for the poultry and pig industry of South Korea to reduce GHG emissions with the effective approaches for the sustainability of agricultural practices.

Direct tracking of noncircular sources for multiple arrays via improved unscented particle filter method

  • Direct tracking problem of moving noncircular sources for multiple arrays is investigated in this study. Here, we propose an improved unscented particle filter (I-UPF) direct tracking method, which combines system proportional symmetry unscented particle filter and Markov Chain Monte Carlo (MCMC) algorithm. Noncircular sources can extend the dimension of sources matrix, and the direct tracking accuracy is improved. This method uses multiple arrays to receive sources. Firstly, set up a direct tracking model through consecutive time and Doppler information. Subsequently, based on the improved unscented particle filter algorithm, the proposed tracking model is to improve the direct tracking accuracy and reduce computational complexity. Simulation results show that the proposed improved unscented particle filter algorithm for noncircular sources has enhanced tracking accuracy than Markov Chain Monte Carlo unscented particle filter algorithm, Markov Chain Monte Carlo extended Kalman particle filter, and two-step tracking method.

MMC-HVDC 시스템의 예측 기반 직접전력제어 (Predictive Direct Power Control in MMC-HVDC System)

  • This study proposes a predictive direct power control method in a modular multilevel converter (MMC) high-voltage direct-current (HVDC) system. The conventional proportional integral (PI)-based control method uses a cascaded connection and requires an optimal gain selection procedure and additional decoupling scheme. However, the proposed control method has a simple structure for active/reactive power control due to the direct power control scheme and exhibits a fast dynamic response by predicting the future status of system variables and considering time delay. The effectiveness of the proposed method is verified by simulation results.

The Effect of Ownership Structure on Transfer Pricing Decisions: Evidence from Foreign Direct Investments in Vietnam

  • Transfer pricing is a matter of concern for countries. It affects the interests of the parties involved in the commercial transaction. Through manipulation of prices in transactions, businesses take advantage of tax rates in a country to adjust profits for economic gain. This affects the fairness and rationality of economic transactions between related parties. The article uses a two-year time series from 2018 to 2019 of 50 foreign direct investment enterprises in Vietnam. The article uses ordinary least squares to test the hypotheses of the research model. The article uses four independent variables related to ownership structure affecting transfer pricing decisions including total ownership, organization ownership, concentration ownership, and area ownership. Research results show that two variables have a positive influence on transfer pricing decisions including total ownership and organization ownership. Organization ownership has a higher degree of influence than total ownership. To be able to control transaction activities related to transfer pricing, Vietnam's state management agencies need to pay attention to perfecting the legal framework based on supplementing and amending regulations related to transfer pricing. Legal regulations need to be regulated based on international common practices to ensure uniformity on a global scale.

이용과 충족이론에 기반한 e스포츠 직접관람자가 관림만족과 행동의도에 미치는 영향 분석 (The effect of eSports Direct Spectators' Motivation on Audience Satisfaction and Behavioral Intention Based on Uses and Gratification Theory)

  • 본 연구는 이용과 충족 이론을 적용하여 e스포츠 직접관람자의 관람동기, 관람만족, 행동의도의 주요 변수 간 관계를 실증 분석하였다. 탐색적 요인분석 결과 기존의 주요 관람만족 동기 중 8개의 스포츠동기, 3개의 팬동기와 한 개의 관람촉진 동기가 e스포츠의 직접관람동기로 확인되었다. 그리고 직접관람자의 관람동기 중 오락, 팀애착, 경기기술, 선수매력, 심미성 동기요인은 관람만족에 유의미한 영향을 미치고, 행동의도에는 사회교류와 오락요인이 영향을 미친다는 것을 확인하였다.
