Recently, a quite large number of investigation is published on the subject of Flexible Manufacturing System which can cope with the volatile market demand and the variety of product. Minimum requirement of designing FMS is depicted and by investigating the communication system between the machine tool and the cell control computer, ana between the central computer and the cell control computer, when it is formed as a sub-system of an FEM, the software can be evolved to the control software of the total Flexible Manufacturing System. It is developed the communication system between the central computer and the cell control computer which is the basic structure of the control architecture of FMS under the concept of DNC (Direct Numerical Control). It is used CYBER 180-830 as the central computer, and GMC-1100 computer as the cell control computer, and the main basic program is developed and tested, thus forming a DNC system which can be used in educational environment.

According to the development of power electronic element(GTO, IGBT) and material for electrical machines(permanent magnet, super conductor), the technology for electrical machines is nowaday rapidly developing. Here with, a novel electrical machine, based on the new conception of transverse flux configuration leads to a considerable Increase in power density and enables simultaneously high efficiency. The transverse flux machine with PM excitation will be applied to gearless direct drives for railway traction system and magnetic levitation system. The designed and measured performance of transverse machine for railway traction system and magnetic levitation system revealed a great potential of system improvements to reduce linear motor mass and increase efficiency.

The cold-air distribution system is expected as an efficient method to reduce energy consumption in the air-conditioning system. We introduced some control strategies for the system by summarizing some references in the view point of energy saving. Direct digital control is specially emphasized as an important control technique for the system. Some drawbacks which habe been conventionally mentioned to apply the cold-air distribution to real fields can be solved by using the technique. The control strategy which is introduced in here will be available to build control system for the air-conditioning based on the cold-air distribution for energy saving.

This paper describes a direct transfer method of multimedia data stream between multimedia processor and network device without using system memory. The hardware architecture and functions for direct transfer, the method to transfer multimedia data to and from the multimedia processor and etc are described. Comparing the proposed method with general methods, I show that the direct transfer method can decrease number of bus accesses and bus cycles.

In this paper, a PN code tracking loop with extended Kalman filter (EKF) is proposed for a direct-sequence spread-spectrum. EKF is used to estimate amplitude and delay in a multipath. fading channel. It is shown that tracking error performance is significantly improved by EKF compared with a conventional tracking loop.

We define weak distributive $n$-semilattices and $n$-lattices, using variants of the absorption law and those of the distributive law. From a weak distributive $n$-semilattice, we construct direct system of subalgebras which are weak distributive $n$-lattices and show that its direct limit is a reflection of the category $wDn$-SLatt of the weak distributive $n$-semilattices.

In this paper, we suggest a modified Gradient method for the identification of plant parameter. And also, through this new identification method, a direct adaptive control theory is proposed for a single-input single-output discrete system. Direct adaptive control theory proposed in this papar ensures global stability and the results of compute simulation show that the proposed algorithm can be applied to both stable and unstable plant.

This paper proposes a novel direct adaptive pole placement control algorithm which can be applied to continuous time nonminimum phase systems. The algorithm is based on Lyapunov's direct method. By introducing an auxiliary signal, a minimal error model is constructed in state space. Using the error model an estimation law is obtained via Lyapunov's second stability theorem. The global stability of the overall system is established.

A parametrization for a linear system is presented to design a direct model reference adaptive pole placement controler. This parametrized model is one of the structured nonminimal models. The exponentially weighted least-squres algorithm is employed to estimate the control parameters. The direct adaptive controller has the exponential weighting properties by the proposed method of selecting the characteristic polynomials of the sensitivity function filters in connection with the reference models.

The static and dynamic characteristics of HDD slider with ulta-low flying height are analyzed using Direct Numerical method with Boundary Fitted Coordinate System. The slip flow effect is considered using the Boltzmann equation solution in a form of the flow rate database. The air film stiffness and damping are evaluated by the small perturbation method.
