엔트로피 해석과 PIV를 이용한 직접 분사식 가솔린의 분무 특성에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Spray Chracteristics for a Gasoline Direct Injector by Using Entropy Analysis and PIV Methods)

  • To improve the fuel consumption and exhaust emission for gasoline engines, GDI(Gasoline Direct Injection) system was spotlighted to solve above requirements. Thus, many researchers have been studied to investigate the spray characteristics and the mixture formation of GDI injector. In this study, we tried to study the spray characteristics of a gasoline direct injector by using entropy analysis and PlV methods. The entropy analysis is based on the concept of statistical entropy, and it identifies the degree of homogeneity in the fuel concentration. The PlV method was adopted to determine the fluid dynamics information at the spray. From the applied results on a direct injection gasoline spray, we could find that the direct diffusion phenomena was a dominant factor in the formation of a homogeneous mixture at downstream of GDI spray especially under vaporizing ambient conditions, and mixing phenomena was also progressed by momentum exchange with induced air. In addition, the correlation between entropy and vorticity strength enabled to find their relation.

  • Low temperature bonding of the silicon and glass using the Spin-on Glass (SOG) has been conducted experimentally to figure out the effects of the SOG solution composition and process variables on bond strength using the Design of Experiment method. In order to achieve the high quality bond interface without rack, sufficient reaction time of the optimal SOG solution composition is needed along with proper pressure and annealing temperature. The shear strength under the optimal SOG solution composition and process condition was higher than that of conventional anodic bonding and similar to that of wafer direct bonding.

  • Electroforming is one of the key technologies for the regenerative thrust chamber of the rocket engine. To use nickel electroforming method for the thrust chamber, direct electroforming of nickel on cupper and the welding method between different materials are needed. Minimizing the internal stress is one of the important factor for making thick electroforming,. Also minimizing contamination(ex. Sulfur containing compound) is another important factor for the stability of quality. This paper includes advanced methods for thick nickel electroforming, those of strength test results and EDS/EPMA inspection results. Advanced for electroforming process makes the achievement of Electro-beam welding between Inconel718(Manifold) and Nickel Electroforming. This paper also includes the influence of the electroforming precipitation angle on strength. Thus advanced electroforming improvement processes and the test results make achievement for manufacturing of the regenerative thrust chamber with direct nickel thick electroforming on cupper materials.

  • The development and maintenance of a sound bond are an essential requirements of concrete repair and replacement. The bond property of a bonded overlay to its substrate concrete during the lifetime is one of the most important performance requirements which should be quantified. A standard or a verified bond strength measurement method is required at field for screening, selecting materials and quality control for overlay or repair materials. This study compares the nipple pipe direct tensile test, flexural adhesion test, and core pull-off test with their test results. Substantial differences in the failure stresses of three test methods were attributed to their different geometries and loading conditions. From these comparison and investigation, core pull-off test was relatively good because the coefficient of variation values were about 2%. It would be suitable for use in-situ because of its simplicity and accuracy.

Elastic distortional buckling of cold-formed steel Z-Beams with stiffened holes using reduced thickness

  • For several reasons, cold-formed steel (CFS) beams are often manufactured with holes. Nevertheless, because of holes, the reduction in the web area causes a decrease in the bending strength. Edge stiffeners are presently added around the holes to improve the bending strength of flexural members. Therefore, this research studies CFSZ-beams with stiffened holes and investigates how edge stiffener affects bending strength and failure modes. Nonlinear analysis was carried out using ABAQUS software and the developed finite element (FE) model was verified against tests from previous studies. Using the verified FE model, a parametric study of 104 FE models was conducted to investigate the influence of key parameters on bending strength of Z- sections. The results indicated that the effect of holes is less noticeable in very thin Z-sections. Moreover, adding edge stiffeners around the holes improves the flexural capacity of Z-beams and sometimes restores the original bending capacity. Because the computational techniques used to solve the CFS buckling mode with stiffened holes are still unclear, a numerical method using constrained and unconstrained finite strip method (CUFSM) software was proposed to predict the elastic distortional buckling moment for a wide variety of CFSZ-sections with stiffened holes. A numerical method with two procedures was applied and validated. Upon comparison, the numerical method accurately predicted the distortional buckling moment of CFS Z-sections with stiffened holes.

사면보수보강을 위한 FPF 보강공법개발 (FPF(Fibrillated Polypropylene Fiber) Reinforcement Method for Slope Repair)

  • This study presents the slope stability analysis results for the model slope test. The model slope was made of the soil reinforced by FPF(Fibrillated Polyprophylene Fiber). The shear strength properties of the soil reinforced by FPF fibers were evaluated through the direct shear tests. The model slope 1:1 and 1:1.5 were made and the load tests were performed. Back analysis using limit equilibrium method was carried out to evaluate the shear strength increase on the FPF reinforced slope. The factor of safety of the FPF reinforce slope increased about 23% over unreinforced slope.

굵은 입자가 포함된 풍화토의 전단강도 평가에 대한 실험연구 (An Experimental Study on the Evaluation of Shear Strength of Weathered Soil Containing Coarse Particles)

  • 연구목적: 본 논문에서는 직접전단시험에서 시험시편의 규모 때문에 부득이 굵은 입자가 제외되는 문제 때문에 발생되는 전단강도의 차이를 분석하고자 직접전단시험을 실시하는 실험연구를 수행하였다. 연구방법: 최대직경 50mm의 굵은 골재가 포함된 3개의 풍화토를 대상으로 대형직접전단시험을 실시하였다. 또한 굵은 골재가 제외된 최대직경 5mm 시료를 이용하여 소형직접전단시험을 실시하였다. 연구결과: 소형직접전단시험의 경우 큰입자가 포함된 대형직접전단시험의 결과에 비하여 내부마찰각은 약2.3% 작은 값을 도출하여 비교적 큰 차이가 없었다. 점착력에서는 대형직접전단시험에 비하여 소형 직접전단시험이 약 80.3% 작은 값을 도출하여 비교적 큰 차이를 나타내었다. 결론: 대형직접전단시험에서 굵은 입자가 내부마찰각보다는 점착력에 큰 영향을 준 것으로 분석되었다. 따라서, 굵은 입자를 포함한 화강풍화토는 수직응력에 영향을 받지 않는 점착력과 같은 전단강도를 갖고 있는 것으로 판단된다. 본 연구에서는 일반적으로 사용되고 있는 굵은 입자를 제외한 소형직접전단시험은 굵은 입자의 효과를 제외함으로서 안전측의 결과를 제공하는 것으로 분석되었다.

풍화토-그라우트 인터페이스 전단 거동 특성에 대한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Study on the Residual Soil-Grout Interface-shearing Behavior )

  • 본 연구에는 지반-그라우트 인터페이스 거동을 평가하기 위한 직접전단시험 장비를 제작하였으며, 제작된 시험 장비를 통해 풍화토, 풍화토-그라우트 두 종류의 시료에 대해 직접전단시험을 수행하였다. 전단응력-슬립 곡선 평가 결과 풍화토-그라우트의 잔류 전단 강도는 단일 풍화토의 잔류 전단 강도와 유사한 값을 나타냈으며, 풍화토-그라우트 인터페이스의 한계 상태 거동은 풍화토에 의해 결정된다는 것을 확인했다. 그러나, 최대 전단 강도의 경우 풍화토-그라우트 인터페이스에서 매우 크게 증가하는 것으로 나타났다. 최대 전단 강도의 증가율은 느슨한 지반에서 더 크게 발생하는 것으로 나타났으며, 이는 풍화토 입자와 그라우트 입자가 섞여 있는 인터페이스 레이어의 두께가 증가했기 때문으로 보인다.

복부에 슬릿이 있는 박판냉간성형형강 스터드의 압축강도 (The Compressive Strength of Thin-Walled Cold-Formed Steel Studs with Slits in the Web)

  • 벽식 스틸하우스 벽체의 구조재로 적용되어 오고 있는 박판냉간성형형강 스터드의 경우 열교현상에 의한 단열상의 문제를 가지고 있기 때문에 추가적인 단열재의 사용이 요구된다. 이러한 단열 문제를 해결하기 위하여 웨브에 슬릿이 배치된 냉간성형강 단열스터드가 개발되었다. 그러나 슬릿의 배치로 인하여 단면강도 산정은 대단히 어려운 문제점이 되고 있다. 본 논문에는 단열스터드의 압축강도 및 구조적인 거동에 대한 실험 및 해석적인 연구결과를 기술하였다. 슬릿의 길이, 간격 및 배열형태를 달리하는 세 종류의 단열스터드에 대한 압축실험을 단면의 파괴 시까지 수행하였으며, 실험 및 해석결과에 근거하여 복부에 슬릿이 있는 냉간성형강 스터드에 적용하기 위한 단순한 형태의 강도 산정방법을 제안하였다. 제안된 강도산정법에서는 단열스터드를 등가두께의 슬릿이 없는 일반스터드로 대치하고, 이 등가단면에 직접강도법을 적용하여 단열스터드의 공칭압축강도를 산출한다. 제안된 강도산정방법은 단열스터드 실험결과와 비교하여 검증하였다.
