  • The revision of regulations for apartment unit design, which are concerning the area calculating criteria (revised in 1998) and use of balcony (revised in 2005), considerably have increased livable space of apartment unit. This paper aims to verify its effect to apartment unit plan in the aspect of number of rooms and size of each room. For this purpose, 60 and 85 $m^2$ sized apartment unit plans in Seoul Gangnam district have been analysed by construction period, and a conclusion is drawn out as following; (1) The revison of regulations in 1998 and 2005 increased livable space of 60 and 85 $m^2$ sized apartment about 16.4~20.6 $m^2$ area. (2) Bedrooms, living room, dining room and kitchen have no change in size in nominal sense, actually, they increase their size after the fact by converting balcony to livable space. (3) Bathroom, dress room and entrance space have been considerably increased in size, which is possible for available area added in place of wall footprint according to 1998 revision.

  • 부산지역의 외식실태 중 음식점과 음식의 선호도를 알아보기 위하여 본교 식품영양과 재학생의 친지 중에서 부산시내에 거주하거나 직장을 가진 초등학교 4학년 이상의 남녀 564명을 대상으로 설문지를 이용하여 조사한 결과는 다음과 같다. 조사대상은 성별과 연령별로 구분하였으며, 연령은 의식수준과 시대적 동질성 등을 감안하여 대학생 이하의 응답자는 학교별로 구분하고 성인들은 10살 단위로 구분하여 조사한 다음 생활환경과 소득수준에 따라 초등생, 중학생 및 고교생을 묶어서 학생층으로, 대학생과 20대를 묶어서 청년층으로, 30대 이상의 장년층을 묶어서 분석에 이용하였으며, 필요한 경우에는 학생층과 청년층을 묶어서 젊은이로 하였다. 설문내용은 음식점을 선호하거나 싫어하는 이유와 일반인이 자주 먹는 메뉴 중 69종을 선택하여 먹어보지 않은 음식, 좋아하는 음식 및 싫어하는 음식의 종류와 그에 대한 이유 등을 알아봤으며, 각 설문에 대한 선택은 문항에 따라 2~3개씩 선택하게 하여 응답자의 부담을 덜어주었다. 1. 음식점을 좋아하는 주요한 요인은 "맛이 있어서", "분위기가 좋아서", "가격이 싸서" 순이였고 싫어하는 이유는 "맛이 없어서", "비위생적이어서", "종업원이 불친절해서" 순이었다. 2. 응답자의 30%가 먹어보지 않은 메뉴의 종류는 남자가 6종인데 비해 여자는 9종이었으며, 초등학생 15종, 중학생과 고교생이 13종(이상 학생층), 대학생이 6종, 20대가 4종(이상 청년층), 30대가 2종, 그리고 40대와 50대 이상(이상 장년층)이 3종으로 여자와 나이가 어릴수록 그 종류가 많았다. 3. 부산시민이 좋아하는 메뉴는 전체적으로 "생선회", "피자", "불고기" 순이었으며, 남자와 장년층은 전통음식을 여자와 젊은이(학생층과 청년층)는 패스트푸드를 더 좋아하는 것으로 나타났다. 4. 전체적으로 싫어하는 메뉴는 "보신탕", "곱창전골", "꼬리곰탕" 순이었으며, 남자와 장년층은 패스트푸드를 여자와 젊은이들은 보신식품을 더 싫어하는 것으로 나타났다. 5. 음식을 선호하는 주요한 이유는 "맛이 있어서", "그냥 좋아서", "영양이 풍부해서" 순이었으며, 남자와 장년층은 "영양이 풍부해서", 여자와 젊은이들에게서는 "외래음식이어서" 비율이 높았다. 6. 음식을 싫어하는 주요한 이유는 "맛이 없어서", "혐오식품이어서", "체질상 거부하여서", 순이었으며, 남자와 장년층은 "외래음식이어서", 여자와 젊은층은 "혐오식품이어서" 비율이 높았다. 이상과 같은 음식점과 음식에 대한 선호도는 연령과 성별에 따라 차이가 있는 것을 볼 수 있었다.율이 높았다. 6. 음식을 싫어하는 주요한 이유는 "맛이 없어서", "혐오식품이어서", "체질상 거부하여서", 순이었으며, 남자와 장년층은 "외래음식이어서", 여자와 젊은층은 "혐오식품이어서" 비율이 높았다. 이상과 같은 음식점과 음식에 대한 선호도는 연령과 성별에 따라 차이가 있는 것을 볼 수 있었다. 같은 음식점과 음식에 대한 선호도는 연령과 성별에 따라 차이가 있는 것을 볼 수 있었다.

경북지역 주부들의 전통 부엌 세간의 보유 현황 및 이용실태 조사 연구 (A Survey on Korean Traditional Kitchen Appliances of Kyongsang-Buk-do Area)

  • 본 조사는 경상북도 전지역에 거주하는 주부들을 대상으로 현재 보유하고 있는 전통적인 부엌 세간과 그 이용실태를 조사하였다. 조사항목은 식기류 16종, 나무로 만든 세간.도구 17종, 불에 쓰는 도구 15종, 토기.옹기류 14종, 돌로 만든 도구 6종, 조리용구 9종, 대 .싸리로 만든 도구 9종, 상 13종으로 분류하여 조사하였으며 각각에 대한 보유 현황 및 이용실 태는 다음과 같다. 대체로 많이 보유하고 있는 식기류는 접시, 대접, 쟁반의 순이었으며, 이용실태는 주발, 대접, 접시의 순으로 많았다. 나무로 만든 세간은 방망이, 찬장, 체, 되 말.홉의 순으로 많이 보유하고 있었으며 찬장, 탁자상, 되.말 홉의 순으로 이용율이 높았다. 불에 쓰는 도구는 주전자, 석쇠, 무쇠솥, 시루의 순으로 많이 보유하고 있었으며 이용율은 주전자, 무쇠 솥, 석쇠의 순으로 높았다. 토기.옹기류는 항아리, 독의 순으로 가장 많이 보유하고 있었고 이용률 역시 독과 항아리가 가장 높았다. 돌로 만든 도구는 맷돌과 절구를 가장 많이 보유하고 있는 반면 이용을 은 매우 낮았으며 조리용구는 칼과 도마의 보유율과 이용률이 높았다. 대.싸리.짚으로 만든 도구는 소쿠리, 채반, 바구니의 순으로 많이 보유하고 있었고 이용률은 소쿠리, 채반, 조리의 순으로 높았다. 상은 교자상, 선반, 책상반의 순으로 보유하고 있었으며 이용률은 원반, 교자상, 책상반의 순으로 높았다.

  • This is the forth consecutive study on the 'Standardization of Measurement for Korean Kitchen Work Centers and Cabinets for Future Design Criteria'. The purpose of the present research was (1) to classify homemakers' representative like styles related to the kitchen, (2) to examine homemakers' present concerns on the kitchen space, and (3) to investigate homemakers' desire and preference on the kitchen space. Twenty two hundred homemakers of upper and middle class residing in Seoul, Busan, Daegu, Incheon, Gwangju and Daejeon were selected for the survey and 1,843 among them were used for data analysis. Data were selected for the survey and 1,843 among them were used for data analysis. Data were analyzed using the SAS program package. The statistics used were frequency, percentage, mean, factor analysis, F-test, Duncan's multiple range test, X2-test, cluster analysis. Findings from the research as follows: (1) Four factors were found as indicaters of the life style; values on the household work, desire on social function of the kitchen, degree on cooperation of family members on the household work, and convenient management. It was noticeable that homemakers had positive responses in terms of desire on social function of the kitchen and degree on cooperation of family members on the household work. Homemakers' life styles related to the kitchen space were classified into 6 categories. (2) Relatively a few respondents answered that the kitchens were very well furnished. If, however, the economic conditions become better, substantial number of them wanted to invest for better kitchen following the one for living room. (3) It was found that most respondents preferred the arrangement of space, where dining and kitchen in one space, and a hard wall or soft treatment was between living and dining/kitchen area. (4) Many respondents desired pantry, utility and laundry area be near the kitchen or in the same space with it, thereby forming a utility core in a housing space.

전라남도.광주광역시 소규모요양시설의 동선분석연구 -공간깊이와 가시영역분석을 중심으로- (An Analytical Study on the Circulation of the Small-scale Elderly Care Facilities in JeollaNamdo and Gwangju -Focusing on the Analysis on Spatial Depth and Visible Area-)

  • Among welfare facilities for the elderly, necessity for the elderly welfare with diverse advantages is rising in the Small-scale Elderly Care Facilities. The government is expecting great demand in the future. However, current the Facilities lack construction plans that consider characteristics of the elderly. Accordingly, 14 case facilities located in JeollaNamdo and Gwangju were selected to comprehensively analyze the circulation of seniors at care facilities by computing spatial depth and visible area variables. As a result of this study, average spatial depth of bathroom, resting room, physical therapy room and dining hall that seniors frequently get in contact with was found to be deep, but visible area appropriate for the function of space was not available. It showed that the circulation for the elderly was deep spatially and long physically, and the spatial rank along circulation which is perceived visually by the admitted the elderly was clear, thus, providing them abundant visual experience supported by high openness as they move from private space to public space. The obtained visibility, however, was observed not to be matched with the function of each space. Since the Small-scale Elderly Care Facilities require various spaces within small surface area, actual functions of each space must be taken into consideration with hierarchical space organization to obtain an environment that stimulates senses such as vision and hearing. In addition, since the circulation of seniors using facilities must consider aging characteristics and delicate care on spatial depth and physical distances, in-depth studies on planning of the circulation in care facilities are deemed necessary.

노인요양시설의 시설구성 현황과 개선방안 (Present State of Institute Composition and Reform Measures of Nursing Homes)

  • 본 연구는 노인요양시설의 시설구성에 관한 실태조사를 통하여, 앞으로 계획되어질 노인요양시설의 시설 구성에 대한 기초자료를 제공하고자 한다. 분석결과 첫째, 복도부분은 5개 시설은 중복도형이고 1개 시설은 확대복도형, 1개 시설은 그룹형으로 나타났다. 둘째, 주거부분은 침실 비율이 가장 높게 나타났으며, 침대식과 온돌식의 크기가 동일한 것으로 나타났다. 셋째, 의료부분은 의료 간호사실과 물리치료실의 비율이 비슷하게 높게 나타났으며, 물리치료실에 대한 호응이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 넷째, 공용부분은 식당 조리실 비율이 가장 높게 나타났으며, 프로그램실로 이동하는데 많은 부담이 있는 것으로 나타났다. 다섯째, 관리부분은 사무실 비율이 가장 높게 나타났으며 1층 로비와 인접 배치되어 있었다. 여섯째, 1인당 소요면적은 3개 시설이 1인당 침실 면적 기준에 미달하는 것으로 나타났다. 일곱째, 시설의 부분별 전체 연면적 비율은 주거부분이 가장 높게 나타났다.

맞벌이 가족의 코하우징 계획을 위한 조사(1) (A Study for the Cohousing Plan of Dual-Income Family)

  • This study is aimed to be used as basic data to plan Korean style cohousing for double-income families in the future by studying their lifestyle, housing needs and housing awareness on cohousing. The results of the study are as follows. 1) As for the life style of the subject families, it was a housewife that mainly does the household affairs despite of the status of double-income family. Also, as for the social activity, almost half of the respondents said that the spending in child-care facilities was not sufficient and wanted to send their children to ones within their neighborhood. 2) As far as housing awareness on cohousing concerned, among specific items, the child care area, the household affairs division area, and participatory awareness of residents in housing planning and management got higher scores, while as for awareness on utilizing common space, using the common hobby rooms, promenades and benches, exercise facilities, common yard, and study rooms got higher scores. When asked about the necessity for cohousing in Korea, they gave very positive answers, but the answer to their willingness to reside in it was less positive. 3) Summarizing the housing needs on cohousing, it turned out that more people wanted to reside in suburban area with others having common grounds with them as for a desirable residence environment. They wanted the neighborhood to be composed of 10${\sim}$29 families, and medium-density semi-detached house occupied by owners. They wanted a mixture of independent management and entrust management for managing common facilities, and common meal once a week. They wanted indoor exercise facilities to be more extended than other common facilities, and the house of $100m^{2}{\sim}130m^{2}$ with 3 bedrooms, 2 bath rooms, and a large living room and dining room.

Food Preferences and Nutrient Density of Wedding Reception Food Consumed by the Community Residents in the Chungbuk Area

  • A survey was conducted to investigate the preferences of wedding reception food, food consumption and its nutrient density, and the factors that influence nutrient density, in order to obtain baseline data for the development of an educational program on dining out. Subjects included 105 male and female adults who attended a wedding ceremony and consumed wedding reception food in the Chungbuk area between August and September 2004 and interviewed using a questionnaire. 63.0% of the subjects responded that they over-ate at the reception. 20.5% reported that they skipped the meal before the reception. The respondents who skipped the meal had more calorie intakes (899kcal) than those who did not (800kcal). In food preferences, noodles (51.0%), watermelon (47.0%), rice cake (39.0%), sweet and sour pork (38.0%), potato noodles stir-fried with vegetables (37.0%), beef rib soup with cooked rice (37.0%), bulgogi (35.0%), braised beef ribs (35.0%), fried shrimp (32.0%) were higher percentages in order. People preferred grain, meat and fatty food to vegetables. Total calorie intake from the reception foods were 881 kcal for males, and 769kcal for females. In evaluation of nutrient density, the density of calcium, vitamin A, vitamin C and dietary fiber did not meet the standard of the recommended intake. Especially, vitamin C and dietary fiber were less than 50% of the recommended level. The main factors that influence the nutrient density were household incomes, occupations, marital status, and total fat consumed. In conclusion, an educational program should be developed and offered to improve their dietary quality.

최근 분양된 수도권 공동주택 단위세대의 공간계획 특성에 관한 연구 - 전용면적 $165m^2$ 이상의 대형규모를 중심으로 - (A Study on the Spatial Characteristics of the Multi-housing Units in Seoul and Kyung-gi Area - Focused on the Unit Size of over $165m^2$-)

  • The purpose of this study is to find out the spatial characteristics of the multi-housing units in Seoul and Kyung-gi area since 2006. Literature review and content analysis were used for this study and 82units of the big size over $165m^2$ were analyzed to review such design characteristics as spatial composition, layout and linkage. Through this study, the following conclusions have been reached; 1) Most unit plans had 4LDK and 3bath types including family room as a public space. This results shows that family-room and bathroom has recently become more important than number of rooms in multi-housing units planning. 2) Diversity of plan figures such as mass-mixing, mass-separation and polygons(L, V-type)was showed in most unit plan, breaking from the standardized forms of box types. 3) Intermediated spaces such as foyers and halls in entrance zone were planned and sub-entrance into kitchen were planned for the various types of circulation and work-efficiency. Cases had private space separated from public space, the dispersion of rooms with the increase of connection by corridors, L-DK meaning the living room isolated from the dining and kitchen, partially located living room for a view in area distribution. The spatial planning of master-zone mostly consists of the types of two-rooms and an entry into a foyer(library, dress-powder room, bathroom and master bedroom). This study has a significant meaning on grasping current trend in Korean multi-housing and to provide information for future direction on housing-unit design.

브랜드 아파트의 단위평면 각 실의 경향분석 (Tendency of Each Space of Unit Plans for Brand Apartments)

  • This study aims to examine each space characteristics of unit plans for brand apartments. Through construction companies' web-sites and real estate web-sites, all the apartment unit plans with $66m^2{\sim}164m^2$ unit among the brand apartments were analyzed. On the analysis of the apartment unit plans($66m^2{\sim}164m^2$) provided by top 8 construction companies from March 2004 to December 2008. The remarkable changes compared to existing apartments include an increase in the number of bays; front side allocation of bedrooms beside the main bedroom; installation of a vestibule, a dressing room, and a powder room; installation of built-in closets in bedrooms beside the main bedroom; and installation of a receipt spot on the sidewall in the balcony. Besides, as for minor opinions there were opinions of front side allocation of kitchen/dining room, back side allocation of the main bedroom, and installation of dressing room in bedrooms beside the main bedroom. Therefore, construction companies should pay attention to research result about the unit area ranges of apartment unit plans, and reflect it positively to develop apartment unit plans to satisfy consumers.
