아세톤-물 및 포름酸-물 混合溶媒中에서의 알칼리 鹽化物溶液의 電導度 (Electric Conductance of Dilute Solutions of Alkali Chlorides in Acetone-Water and Formic Acid-Water Mixtures)

  • 여러組成의 아세톤-물 및 포름酸-물 중에서 각각 알칼리鹽化物(LiCl, NaCl, KCl, RbCl, CsCl)의 稀薄溶液의 電導度를 $^30{\circ}C$˚에서 측정하였다. 아세톤-물 混合溶媒中에서의 알칼리鹽化物의 電導度의 結果를 Debye-Huckel-Onsager式으로 解析하였고, 溶媒組成에 따르는 極限當量電導度의 변화를 電解質의 選擇的 溶媒化現象으로 설명하였다. 포름酸-물 中에서의 알칼리鹽化物의 稀薄溶液의 電導度는 溶媒自體의 强한 이온雰圍氣때문에 그 변화를 比較解析할 수가 없었다.

Poly(amic acid) 전구체 용액의 성질 (Property of Poly(amic acid) Precursor Solution)

  • Condensation type aromatic polyimides were synthesized in DMF solvent by two step low temperature solution polymerization. By employing monomers as p-phenylene 3diamine and 3 kinds of dianhydrides such as pyromellitic dianhydride, 3,3',4,4'-benzophenone tetracarboxylic dianhydride and trimellitic anhydride chloride, poly(amic acid) precursors were sythesized. These reactions were exothermic and very fast. When synthesized poly(amic acid)s were dissolved in DMF solvent and stood long time, the polymers were hydrolyzed and their degradation reactions were accelerated as the solution concentrations were dilute. Also, when water is added there-to the degradation rates were accelerated 8faster. In addition, in a very dilute solution state, the reduction viscosity is greatly increased to show properties of conventional polyelectrolytes. This also showed properties sensitive to the concentration change as carboxyl groups per unit segment are increased.

Effects of Dilute Acid Pretreatment on Enzyme Adsorption and Surface Morphology of Liriodendron tulipifera

  • In this study, dilute acid pretreatment of $Liriodendron$ $tulipifera$ was performed for enzymatic hydrolysis. As the pretreatment temperature was increased, enzymatic hydrolysis and enzyme adsorption yield also increased. The highest enzymatic hydrolysis yield was 57% (g/g) and enzyme adsorption was 44% (g/g). Enzymatic hydrolysis yield was determined with weight loss of pretreated biomass by enzyme, and enzyme adsorption was a percentage of enzyme weight attaching on pretreated biomass compared with input enzyme weight. When $L.$ $tulipifera$ was pretreated with 1% sulfuric acid at $160^{\circ}C$ for 5 min., hemicellulose was significantly removed in pretreatment, but the lignin contents were constant. Other changes in surface morphology were detected on biomass pretreated at $160^{\circ}C$ by a field emission scanning electron microscope (FESEM). A large number of spherical shapes known as lignin droplets were observed over the entire biomass surface after pretreatment. Hemicellulose removal and morphological changes improved enzyme accessibility to cellulose by increasing cellulose exposure to enzyme. It is thus evidence that enzyme adsorption is a significant factor to understand pretreatment effectiveness.

농업부산물 고추대 (Pepper Stem)을 이용한 묽은 황산 자일로즈 분별공정의 최적화 (Optimization the Xylose Fractionation Conditions of Pepper Stem with Dilute Sulfuric Acid)

  • 본 연구에서는 반응표면분석법 (RSM)을 따른 고추 대의 묽은 황산을 이용한 자일로즈 분별 공정을 통해 고추대 시료로부터 최적의 자일로즈 수율을 얻을 수 있는 반응조건을 예측할 수 있었다. 실제 실험 결과 최적 반응은 온도 $147^{\circ}C$, 산 농도 2.8% $H_2SO_4$, 반응시간 21 min. 임을 알 수 있었고 최적 조건에서의 실험결과는 예측 값 78% 보다 약 7% 낮은 71% 자일로즈 수율을 얻을 수 있었다. SEM과 XRD분석을 통해 전처리 전후의 시료의 이미지 분석을 하여 산 전처리 공정을 통해 섬유소 기질 외 다른 성분인 반 섬유소가 분해 되어 추출액상으로 자일로즈로 용해 되었음을 가시적으로 확인 할 수 있었고 전처리 된 고추대의 결정화 도가 전처리 전보다 증가했음을 확인 할 수 있었다. 이로써 비결정성 물질인 반섬유소와 기타 성분들이 묽은 황산을 이용한 자일로즈 분별공정에 의해 분리되었음을 확인하였다.

키틴의 염료 흡착에 의한 염액의 색소제거에 관한 연구(제1보) (Decoloration in Dyebath by Dye Absorption of Chitin(Part I))

  • The adsorption ability of dyes on chitin, a natural polymer was investigated for decolorization of dye wastewater. Chitin was manufactured in lab by decalcification in dilute aqueous HCI solution and deproteination in dilute aqueous NaOH solution with shrimp shells. Absorbance of residue solution of dyebaths after dye adsorptions of chitin were measured in varieties of dye concentration and dipping periods. Four kinds of dyestuffs were used, C.I.Acid Blue 29. C.I.Direct Blue 6, C.I.Reactive Orange 12 and C.I.Basic Red 18. When chtin 1g was dipped in 0.05% of dyebath with stirring, maximum adsorption ratio of each kind of dyes was exhibited as 91.6% for C.I.Acid Blue 29, 95% for C.I.Direct Blue 6, 58.2% for C.I.Reactive Orange 13 and 75.8% for C.I.Basic Red 19. It shows that chitin has better adsorption abilities of ionic dyes of acid, direct and basic dye than non-ionic reactive dye. And chitin has better adsorption abilities of anionic acid direct dyes than cationic basic dye because of the presence of nitrogen atoms. All kinds of dyestuffs used showed speedy absorption effects by chitin, so chitin can absorb much amount of dyes in 5 mimutes reach to equilibrium of adsorption in 2 hours after dipping. Basic dye was absorbed the most speedily in 5 minutes, although maximum adsorption ratio is not high. That reason can be thought that chitin surface is essentially negatively charged due to polar funtional groups.

Fast and Soft Functionalization of Carbon Nanotube with -SO3H, -COOH, -OH Groups for Catalytic Hydrolysis of Cellulose to Glucose

  • Herein, sulfonated carbon nanotubes (CNT) have been prepared in dilute sulfuric acid (H2SO4) via a novel sulfonation approach based on gas-liquid interfacial plasma (GLIP) at room temperature. The sulfonic acid groups and total acid groups densities of CNT after GLIP treatment in 2 M H2SO4 for 45 min can reach to 0.53 mmol/g and 3.64 mmol/g, which is higher than that of sulfonated CNT prepared under 0.5 M / 1 M H2SO4. The plasma sulfonated CNT has been applied as catalysts for the conversion of microcrystalline cellulose to glucose. The effect of hydrolysis temperature and hydrolysis time on the conversion rate and product distribution have been discussed. It demonstrates that the total conversion rate of cellulose increasing with hydrolysis temperature and hydrolysis time. Furthermore, the GLIP sulfonated CNT prepared in 2 M H2SO4 for 45 min has shown high catalytic stability of 85.73 % after three cycle use.

거대 갈조류 모자반으로부터 환원당과 레불린산의 생산 (Production of Total Reducing Sugar and Levulinic Acid from Brown Macro-algae Sargassum fulvellum)

  • 본 연구에서는 거대해조류 중 갈조류에 속하는 모자반으로부터 환원당 및 platform chemicals로 알려진 levulinic acid의 생산을 위하여 묽은 산 촉매를 이용한 수열가수분해법을 수행하였다. 반응조건의 최적화를 위하여 반응표면분석법을 적용하였다. 모자반으로부터 환원당과 levulinic acid의 생성에 미치는 반응인자들의 영향 및 상호작용을 알아본 결과, 실험조건 내에서 반응온도, 촉매농도, 반응시간이 낮거나 짧을수록 많은 양의 환원당이 생성되었다. 반면에 높은 반응온도와 촉매농도에서 levulinic acid 농도가 증가하였고, 일정 반응시간 이후에는 크게 영향을 미치지 못하였다. 환원당 생성에 있어서 최적의 반응조건은 반응온도 $160.1^{\circ}C$, 촉매농도 1.0%, 그리고 반응시간 20.2분의 조건에서 15.28 g/l가 생성되었다. 또한 $189.5^{\circ}C$, 2.93%, 48.8분의 조건에서 2.65 g/l의 levulinic acid를 얻었다. 이러한 결과는 해양자원 중 거대 해조류로부터 당과 platform chemicals을 확보할 수 있는 가능성을 제시함으로써 화석자원의 대체에 활용할 기본정보를 제공하고자 하였다.

약산 전처리 조건에 따른 소경 신갈나무 유래 푸르푸랄 및 레불린산의 함량 변화 (Changes of Furfural and Levulinic Acid Yield from Small-diameter Quercus mongolica Depending on Dilute Acid Pretreatment Conditions)

  • 본 연구에서는 국산 소경 신갈나무를 이용하여 약산 전처리를 실시하고, 당으로부터 변환된 푸르푸랄 및 레불린산의 함량 변화를 평가하였다. 약산 전처리는 반응온도($140-180^{\circ}C$), 반응시간(10-30분), 황산 촉매 농도(0-2%, w/w)에 따라 수행하였고, 전처리 후 액상 내 글루코오스, XMG (자일로오스 + 만노오스 + 갈락토오스), 푸르푸랄, 레불린산의 함량을 측정/분석하였다. 글루코오스는 반응온도의 상승, 반응시간과 황산 촉매 농도의 증가에 의해 그 함량이 높아져 최대 16.02%까지 나타났으나, 황산 촉매 농도 2% (반응온도 $170^{\circ}C$ 이상, 반응시간 20분 이상)에서 함량이 감소하였다. 한편, XMG 함량은 반응온도의 영향을 크게 받았고, 반응온도와 황산 촉매 농도의 증가에 따라 1.63%까지 감소하 였으며, 반응시간의 증가에 의한 함량변화는 적었다. 푸르푸랄 함량은 반응온도, 반응시간, 황산 촉매 농도 증가에 따라 높아져 초기시료 중량 대비 최대 7.61% (반응온도 $180^{\circ}C$, 반응시간 20분, 1% 황산 촉매 농도)로 나타났으나, 전처리 조건이 최대 푸르푸랄 함량 조건보다 가혹해지면서 감소하는 경향이 발생하였다. 레불린산 함량은 반응온도, 반응시간, 황산 촉매 농도가 증가함에 따라 높아졌고, 특히 반응온도 $170^{\circ}C$ 이상에서 급격한 함량 증가를 확인하였으며, 최대 10.98% (반응온도 $180^{\circ}C$, 반응시간 30분, 2% 황산 촉매 농도)로 나타났다. 반면 황산 촉매를 투입하지 않았을 경우 모든 반응온도, 반응시간 조건에서 푸르푸랄 및 레불린산 함량은 1% 미만으로 나타났다.

견의 황변억제에 관한 연구 - 메탄올 및 희박염산처리에 의한 견피브로인의 내부구조전이가 황변억제에 미치는 영향 - (The Structural Changes in Silk Fibroin Induced by Methanol and Dilute Hydrochloric Acid and Its Photo yellowing Reduction Effect)

  • Degummed silk from Bombyx mori was dissolved in 9.3M lithium bromide solution. The regenerated silk fibroin films were completely ${\alpha}$-randomcoil type as shown by x-ray diffraction and infrared spectroscopy. The structural changes in silk fibroin induced by immersion into methanol and dilute hydrochloric acid and its photo-yellowing effect was studied. The changes of crystallinity were measured by infrared spectrometer. Yellowness index caused by ultraviolet irradiation were observed as a function of the structural change on silk fibroin. On treatment with methanol, ${\alpha}$-randomcoil silk film is converted to the ${\beta}$-form structure. After the treatment of hydrochloric acid on ${\beta}$-form structure in silk induced by immersion into methanol, ${\beta}$-form in silk fibroin is partially decreased. Crystallization owing to ${\beta}$-form transition reduced the initial yellowness index by ultraviolet irradiation. A little ${\beta}$-form structure in silk fibroin increased the initial yellowness in comparison with more ${\beta}$-form structure.
