건설현장 MMS 라이다 기반 점군 데이터의 정확도 분석 (Accuracy Analysis of Point Cloud Data Produced Via Mobile Mapping System LiDAR in Construction Site)

  • Recently, research and development to revitalize smart construction are being actively carried out. Accordingly, 3D mapping technology that digitizes construction site is drawing attention. To create a 3D digital map for construction site a point cloud generation method based on LiDAR(Light detection and ranging) using MMS(Mobile mapping system) is mainly used. The purpose of this study is to analyze the accuracy of MMS LiDAR-based point cloud data. As a result, accuracy of MMS point cloud data was analyzed as dx = 0.048m, dy = 0.018m, dz = 0.045m on average. In future studies, accuracy comparison of point cloud data produced via UAV(Unmanned aerial vegicle) photogrammetry and MMS LiDAR should be studied.

차량측량시스템을 위한 영상취득 프로그램 개발 (Development of Image Capture Program for a Mobile Mapping System along CCD Camera Characteristics)

  • 본 연구에서는 현재 개발되고 있는 차량측량시스템(또는 Mobile Mapping System)에서 사용하기 위한 CCD(Charge Coupled Device) 카메라 영상을 취득하는 프로그램을 개발하였다. 특히 2개의 고해상도 칼라영상을 동시에 취득하여 저장할 수 있도록 하여 수치사진측량 기법의 적용이 가능하도록 하였다. 본 연구에서 개발한 프로그램은 GPS-IMU의 장비와 결합하여 차량측량시스템을 이용한 각종 시설물의 3차원 위치 결정, 보존상태 파악 등에 보다 효율적으로 이유될 수 있을 것이다. 특히 현재까지 개발되어 활용중인 프로그램들이 흑백영상을 대상으로 하고 있는 반면 본 연구에서 사용하고 있는 영상은 고해상도의 칼라영상이기 때문에 대상물의 판독력을 높일 수 있어 차량측량시스템의 활용분야를 넓일 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

  • The needs of 3-D data have been increasing for various applications like visualization, 3-D modeling, planning and management as well as entertainment. Mobile mapping has become a quick and practical means for acquiring necessary 3-D data for above-mentioned applications. A mobile mapping system mainly consists of two main components, viz. data acquisition devices and positioning devices. The data acquisition devices consist of CCD cameras or/and laser scanners. The positioning devices consist of GPS, INS, Odometer (shaft encoder) and some other referencing devices. The overall accuracy of mobile mapping system depends on the accuracy of positioning devices and their integrated output. Though, GPS is the main input device for the position information, the signal is not available for the computation of position all the times in urban area. The GPS satellites are normally obstructed by high-rise buildings. Thus it is very important to understand the accuracy of such a system in different environments and means to solve such problems. We have developed a mobile mapping system called VLMS (Vehicle-borne Laser Mapping System), which consists of CCD Cameras, Laser scanners, GPS, INS and Odometer. In this paper, we will present and discuss the accuracy of this system with data acquired in different environments (open area, urban area, tunnel, express way etc) by analyzing the data with respect to other existing digital data.

A Mechanism for Configurable Network Service Chaining and Its Implementation

  • Recently Service Function Chaining (SFC) is promising to innovate the network service mode in modern networks. However, a feasible implementation of SFC is still difficult due to the need to achieve functional equivalence with traditional modes without sacrificing performance or increasing network complexity. In this paper, we present a configurable network service chaining (CNSC) mechanism to provide services for network traffics in a flexible and optimal way. Firstly, we formulate the problem of network service chaining and design an effective service chain construction framework based on integrating software-defined networking (SDN) with network functions virtualization (NFV). Then, we model the service path computation problem as an integer liner optimization problem and propose an algorithm named SPCM to cooperatively combine service function instances with a network utility maximum policy. In the procedure of SPCM, we achieve the service node mapping by defining a service capacity matrix for substrate nodes, and work out the optimal link mapping policies with segment routing. Finally, the simulation results indicate that the average request acceptance ratio and resources utilization ratio can reach above 85% and 75% by our SPCM algorithm, respectively. Upon the prototype system, it is demonstrated that CNSC outperforms other approaches and can provide flexible and scalable network services.

  • 물리적 디스플레이 기술은 인간이 열망하는 궁극의 디스플레이 기술로서 전 세계가 레이저, 플라즈마 및 반사판 등을 이용한다. 또한 양한 입체 디스플레이 기술개발을 활발하게 진행하고 있으나 광학식으로 인한 주변광의 영향, 밝기 등으로 온전한 물리적 표현에는 한계가 존재한다. 본 논문에서는 기존의 광학식과는 다른 물리적 변형을 이용한 디스플레이 기술을 문화 감성적인 측면의 접근법으로 다가선다. 2차원 평면적인 디지털 사이니즈의 한계를 극복하여 물리적으로 다변화되는 스크린 위에 동적 영상을 투사하여 3차원 실감 입체 이미지를 만들어 낼 수 있는 카멜레온(다변)형 디스플레이 기술을 개발하고 이를 이용한 영상, 전시 및 공연에 적용이 가능한 방법을 연구하고자 한다.

송유관선로의 식생복원 감시를 위한 비디오선형지도화 및 patch dynamics분석 (Video Strip Mapping (VSM) and Patch Dynamics Analysis for Revegetation Monitoring of a Pipeline Route)

  • 본 논문은 좁은 폭이지만 장거리에 걸쳐있는 지상목적물 (15m 폭에 400km길이)에 대한 새로운 원격탐사 및 GIS기법의 개발을 보고한다 (송유관건설로 파괴된 식생의 복원실태를 모니터링하고자). 비디오는 visual 또는 quantitative해석방식에서 신뢰할만한 정확도를 가지고 복원된 주요식생군락을 분별해냈다. 또한 GIS환경에서 digital change-detection 기법을 통해 복원된 식생의 공간적인 patch dynamics의 분포실태를 평가하는 도구로서 비디오가 아주 유용하게 사용될 수 있음을 보여주었다. 본 연구의 결론은 비디오선형지도화가 송유관선로의 환경감시를 위해 현실운용이 가능한 기술이다는 것이며. 여타의 선형목적물에 대한 환경감시를 위해서도 효율적으로 사용될 수 있음을 보여준다.

Trivariate B-spline Approximation of Spherical Solid Objects

  • Recently, novel application areas in digital geometry processing, such as simulation, dynamics, and medical surgery simulations, have necessitated the representation of not only the surface data but also the interior volume data of a given 3D object. In this paper, we present an efficient framework for the shape approximations of spherical solid objects based on trivariate B-splines. To do this, we first constructed a smooth correspondence between a given object and a unit solid cube by computing their harmonic mapping. We set the unit solid cube as a rectilinear parametric domain for trivariate B-splines and utilized the mapping to approximate the given object with B-splines in a coarse-to-fine manner. Specifically, our framework provides user-controllability of shape approximations, based on the control of the boundary condition of the harmonic parameterization and the level of B-spline fitting. Experimental results showed that our method is efficient enough to compute trivariate B-splines for several models, each of whose topology is identical to a solid sphere.

GPS를 이용한 항공삼각측량 (GPS-Assisted Aerotriangulation)

  • 본 논문에서는 대축척 항공 사진(1/5,000)을 촬영할 때 수신한 GPS 자료를 처리하여 결정한 항공 사진 카메라의 투영중심 위치를 이용한 항공삼각측량에 대해서 연구하였다. 항공삼각측량에 적용 가능성을 검토하기 위해 GPS자료를 처리하여 모델 조정법으로 결정한 투영중심의 위치와 비교하여 정확도 및 오차를 분석하였다. 또한, GPS 자료로 결정한 투영중심의 위치를 광속 조정법에 적용하였다. 기준국으로부터 30 km이내인 경우 L1 반송파 자료를 이용하여 결정한 투영중심 위치의 정확도는 일정하고, 4개의 기준점으로 평면(XY) 정확도(RMS)는 13 cm, 높이(Z) 정확도(RMS)는 15 cm로 수치지도 제작에 필요한 정확도를 얻을 수 있었다. 따라서, GPS를 항공삼각측량에 이용함으로써 경제적인 지도 제작 방안을 제시하였다.

1-D PE 어레이로 컨볼루션 연산을 수행하는 저전력 DCNN 가속기 (Power-Efficient DCNN Accelerator Mapping Convolutional Operation with 1-D PE Array)

  • In this paper, we propose a novel method of performing convolutional operations on a 2-D Processing Element(PE) array. The conventional method [1] of mapping the convolutional operation using the 2-D PE array lacks flexibility and provides low utilization of PEs. However, by mapping a convolutional operation from a 2-D PE array to a 1-D PE array, the proposed method can increase the number and utilization of active PEs. Consequently, the throughput of the proposed Deep Convolutional Neural Network(DCNN) accelerator can be increased significantly. Furthermore, the power consumption for the transmission of weights between PEs can be saved. Based on the simulation results, the performance of the proposed method provides approximately 4.55%, 13.7%, and 2.27% throughput gains for each of the convolutional layers of AlexNet, VGG16, and ResNet50 using the DCNN accelerator with a (weights size) x (output data size) 2-D PE array compared to the conventional method. Additionally the proposed method provides approximately 63.21%, 52.46%, and 39.23% power savings.

A Cost-Effective Land Surveying System for Engineering Applications

  • The field of land surveying is changing dramatically due to the way data is processed, analyzed and presented. Also, there is a growing demand for digital spatial information, coming primarily from the GIS (Geographical Information System) user community. Such a demand has created a strong development potential for a new land surveying software. An overview of the development and capabilities of a land surveying software platform based on the Windows system, SurveyingMap, is presented. Among its many features, SurveyingMap provides a lot of adaptability for networks adjustment, geodetic and plane coordinates transformation, contouring, sectioning, DTM (Digital Terrain Model) generation, and large scale mapping applications. The system output is compatible with well known computer aided drafting (CAD) /GIS packages to expand its scope of applications. SurveyingMap is also suitable for non-technical users due to the user-friendly graphic user interface. The system could be used in engineering, architecture, GIS, and academic teaching and research, among other fields. Two applications of SurveyingMap, extension of field control and large scale mapping, for the case study area are established. The results demonstrate that the system is adaptable and reasonably priced for use by college and university students.
