  • A watermark is a signal added to the original signal in order to preserve the copyright of the owner of the digital content. The basic challenge for designing a watermarking system is a dilemma between transparency and robustness. If we want a higher rate of transparency, there has to be a compromise in terms of its robustness and vice versa. Also, until now, watermarking is generalized, resulting in the need for a specialized algorithm to work for a specialized image processing application domain. Our proposed technique takes into consideration the image characteristics for watermark insertion and it optimizes transparency and robustness. It achieved a 99.98% retrieval efficiency for an image blurring attack and counterfeits other attacks. Our proposed technique counterfeits almost all of the image processing attacks.

  • Today's modern world requires a digital watermarking technique that takes the redundancy of an image into consideration for embedding a watermark. The novel algorithm used in this paper takes into consideration the redundancies of spatial domain and wavelet domain for embedding a watermark. Also, the cryptography-based secret key makes the algorithm difficult to hack and help protect ownership. Watermarking is blind, as it does not require the original image. Few coefficient matrices and secret keys are essential to retrieve the original watermark, which makes it redundant to various intentional attacks. The proposed technique resolves the challenge of optimizing transparency and robustness using a Canny-based edge detector technique. Improvements in the transparency of the cover image can be seen in the computed PSNR value, which is 44.20 dB.

  • The necessity for a technique to protect intellectual property of a digital content has been increasing, especially for the image/video contents which are the most favorite because of their high information-intensive property. According to this demand, this paper proposed a digital watermarking algorithm, which is recognized as the most promising technique. This algorithm targets MPEG compression system and the watermarking process is to be performed during the compression process. It inserts watermark only in Y components of I-frames. Experimental results showed that the proposed method satisfied both imperceptibility and robustness against various attacks. The PSNR difference between the compressed images(the average compression ratio was about 27:1 with Y:Cb:Cr=4:2:0 color format for TM5-based compression) with and without watermarking was only 1.8dB ($4.2\%$). In each case that the resulting image after an attack was reusable the normalized correlation between the extracted watermark and the original one was above 0.8.

  • This paper proposes a new 3D image transmission technique using digital watermarking for compatibility with conventional 2D digital TV. To transmit 3D images effectively, generally, we use image sequence transmission using temporal-spatial redundancy between stereo images. It is difficult for users with conventional digital TV to watch the transmitted 3D image sequence because of effectivity of 3D image compression. To improve such problem, in this paper, we perceive the concealment of new information of digital watermarking and conceal information of the other stereo image into three channels of the reference image. So we can watch the image with 3D TV as well as conventional digital TV when it is decoded.

  • We propose a digital watermarking technique using a computer generated hologram. The proposed method uses two random patterns separated from the computer generated hologram (CGH). One of those is embedded into the original image as hidden watermark information and then the reconstructed image can be obtained by an optical decoding algorithm with the other one as a decoding key. We analyze an occlusion of the watermarked image that is the original image containing the hidden pattern. The embedding process is performed digitally and reconstruction optically Computer simulation and an optical experiment are shown in support of the proposed technique.

  • This paper proposes a novel watermarking method to discover the tampers and localize it in digital image. The image which is to be used to generate a watermark is first wavelet decomposed and the edge feature from the sub bands of high frequency coefficients are retrieved to generate a watermark (Edge Feature Image) and which is to be embed on the cover image. Before embedding the watermark, the pixels of cover image are disordered through the Arnold Transform and this helps to upgrade the security of the watermark. The embedding of generated edge feature image is done only on the Least Significant Bit (LSB) of the cover image. The invisibleness and robustness of the proposed method is computed using Peak-Signal to Noise Ratio (PSNR) and Normalized Correlation (NC) and it proves that the proposed method delivers good results and the proposed method also detects and localizes the tampers efficiently. The invisibleness of proposed method is compared with the existing method and it proves that the proposed method is better.

  • In this Paper, Double Encryption Technology Based on Phase-Shifting Digital Holography and Digital Watermarking is Proposed. For the Purpose, we First Set a Logo Image to be used for Digital Watermark and Design a Binary Phase Computer Generated Hologram for this Logo Image using an Iterative Algorithm. And Random Generated Binary Phase Mask to be set as a Watermark and Key Image is Obtained through XOR Operation between Binary Phase CGH and Random Binary Phase Mask. Object Image is Phase Modulated to be a Constant Amplitude and Multiplied with Binary Phase Mask to Generate Object Wave. This Object Wave can be said to be a First Encrypted Image Having a Pattern Similar to the Noise Including the Watermark Information. Finally, we Interfere the First Encrypted Image with Reference Wave using 2-step PSDH and get a Good Visible Interference Pattern to be Called Second Encrypted Image. The Decryption Process is Proceeded with Fresnel Transform and Inverse Process of First Encryption Process After Appropriate Arithmetic Operation with Two Encrypted Images. The Proposed Encryption and Decryption Process is Confirmed through the Computer Simulations.

  • In this paper, proposed digital image watermarking technique with lifting wavelet transformation. This watermark technique can be easily extended in video content fields. Therefore, we apply this watermark technique to layered depth image structure that is efficient compression method of multi-view video with depth images. This application steps are very simple, because watermark is inserted only reference image. And watermarks of the other view images borrow from reference image. Each view image of multi-view video may be guaranteed authentication and copyright.

  • The current paper proposes a wavelet-based digital watermarking algorithm using statistical characteristic of image and human visual system (HVS). The original image is decomposed into 4-level using a discrete wavelet transform (DWT), then the watermark is embedded into the perceptually significant coefficients (PSCs) of the image. In general, the baseband of a wavelet-decomposed image includes most of the energy of the original image, thereby having a crucial effect on the image quality. As such, to retain invisibility, the proposed algorithm does not utilize the baseband. Plus, the wavelet coefficients on the lowest level are also excluded in the watermark-embedding step, because these coefficients call be easily eliminated and modified by lossy compression and common signal processing. As such, the PSCs are selected from all subbands, except for the baseband and subbands on the lowest level. Finally, using the selected PSCs, the watermark is then embedded based on spatial masking of the wavelet coefficients so as to provide invisibility and robustness. Computer simulation results confirmed that the proposed watermarking algorithm was more invisible and robust than conventional algorithms.

  • Fragile watermarking is a technique to insert a watermark into an image without significantly degrading its visual quality so that the watermark can be extracted for the purposes of authentication or integrity verification. And the watermark for authentication and integrity verification should be erased easily when the image is changed by filtering etc. In this paper, we propose a image block-wise watermarking method for image tamper proofing using digital signature. In the proposed method, a digital signature is generated from the hash code of the initialized image block. And The proposed method is able to detect the tampered parts of the image without testing the entire block of the watermarked image.
