비접촉 베어링 지지 모터-발전기 시스템의 제어 (Control of Non-Contact Bearing-Based Motor-Generator System)

  • In this paper, a controller for a non-contact bearing-based motor-generator system is designed. The levitation control method is a digital PID control. The plant dynamics consisting of actuator and rigid rotor dynamics are described. And some experiments are conducted with each global control and local control concept. From the whirl test, the Motor-Generator System can be controlled within about ${\pm}10{\mu}m$ gap variation at the rotational speed of 600rpm and generate electric power of AC100V.

  • 본 논문에서는 불확실성을 포함할지도 모르는 비선형 시스템의 추적 제어에 효과적인 퍼지모델기반 제어기에 대한 지능형 디지털 재설계 기법을 제안한다. TS 퍼지모델은 불확실 비선형 시스템의 퍼지모델링에 적용되었다. 안정화와 추적을 위한 퍼지모델기반 제어기를 설계하기 위해 확장 병렬 분산 보상 기법이 이용되었다. 설계된 연속시간 제어기는 지능형 디지털 재설계 기법을 이용해 등가의 이산시간 제어기로 변환되었다. 본 논문에서 제안한 지능형 디지털 재설계방법은 전형적인 단일 링크 유연 로봇 시스템에 적용하여 그 응용 가능성과 효용성을 입증한다.

효율적인 하드웨어 공유를 위한 단어길이 최적화 알고리듬 (A bitwidth optimization algorithm for efficient hardware sharing)

  • This paper presents a bitwidth optimization algorithm for efficient hardware sharing in digital signal processing system. The proposed algorithm determines the fixed-point representation for each signal through bitwidth optimization to generate the hardware requiring less area. To reduce the operator area, the algorithm partitions the abstract operations in the design description into several groups, such that the operations in the same group can share an operator. The partitioning result are fed to a high-level synthesis system to generate the pipelined fixed-point datapaths. The proposed algorithm has been implemented in SODAS-DSP an automatic synthesis system for fixed-point DSP hardware. Accepting the models of DSP algorithms in schematics, the system automatically generates the fixed-point datapath and controller satisfying the design constraints in area, speed, and SNR(Signal-to-Noise Ratio). Experimental results show that the efficiency of the proposed algorithm by generates the area-efficient DSP hardwares satisfying performance constraints.

A Dynamic Performance Study of an HVDC System using a Hybrid Simulator

  • This paper deals with the development of a new type of simulator for the study of the dynamic performance of an HVDC scheme. The new simulator uses a digital model of the power equipment and an analogue model of the existing HVDC controller. This simulator is used to study the dynamic performance of the Cheju - Haenam HVDC system and to verify the control characteristics of the HVDC system. The paper discusses the simulator development requirements and criteria. The paper provides guidelines for the development of the simulator and presents the results of the simulation studies.

  • This paper discusses study of torque ripple minimization employing an improved TDF(torque distribution function)-based instantaneous torque control to reduce acoustic noise and vibration problem of the SRM. As the flux linkage of the SRM is a nonlinear function of phase current and rotor position, design of optimal controller for the SRM is quite complicated. Hence, an accurate mathematical model considering the nonlinearity of the SRM is required. An improved TDF based torque control has been proposed in order to reduce the toque ripple at high speed operation. Dynamic simulation using Matlab/Simulink as well as Finite Element Analysis is presented. A prototype SRM for electric vehicle traction has been manufactured to validate the experimental results comparing the dynamic simulation results.

  • In this paper new, inverter control system for TG feedback a formula Control was developed. The motor control system with TG feedback controller as an effect of load disturbance, it is very difficult to guarantee the robustness of control system. The function of the implementation are TG feedback type, and temperature scheme. The Inverter Control System approach is based on master-slave control concept. To show validity of the developed new inverter control system, severial experiments are illustrated.

Generalized Selective Harmonic Elimination Modulation for Transistor-Clamped H-Bridge Multilevel Inverter

  • This paper presents a simple approach for the selective harmonic elimination (SHE) of multilevel inverter based on the transistor-clamped H-bridge (TCHB) family. The SHE modulation is derived from the sinusoidal voltage-angle equal criteria corresponding to the optimized switching angles. The switching angles are computed offline by solving transcendental non-linear equations characterizing the harmonic contents using the Newton-Raphson method to produce an optimum stepped output. Simulation and experimental tests are conducted for verification of the analytical solutions. An Altera DE2 field-programmable gate array (FPGA) board is used as the digital controller device in order to verify the proposed SHE modulation in real-time applications. An analysis of the voltage total harmonic distortion (THD) has been obtained for multiple output voltage cases. In terms of the THD, the results showed that the higher the number of output levels, the lower the THD due to an increase number of harmonic orders being eliminated.

  • This paper proposes a methodological scheme for the photovoltaic (PV) simulator design. With the advantages of a digital controller system, linear interpolation is proposed for precise fitting with higher computational efficiency. A novel control strategy that directly tackles two different duty cycles is proposed and implemented to achieve a full-range operation including short circuit (SC) and open circuit (OC) conditions. Systematic design procedures for both hardware and algorithm are explained, and a prototype is built. Experimental results confirm an accurate steady state performance under different load conditions, including SC and OC. This low power apparatus can be adopted for PV education and research with a limited budget.

  • 본 논문에서는 LLC 하프 브릿지 공진형 컨버터의 디지털 제어기 설계 및 실제적인 구현에 대해 기술한다. 분석된 LLC 컨버터의 소신호 특성을 기반으로 discrete domain에서 디지털 제어기를 설계 하였다. 설계된 디지털 제어기는 SMPS용으로 특성화된 Microchips사의 마이크로컨트롤러(MCU)인 dsPIC33f를 이용하여 구현되었으며, 아날로그 제어기와의 성능 비교는 실험을 통하여 검증 한다.

Controlled-Type ZVS Technique without Auxiliary Components for Micro-inverters

  • This paper proposes a Boundary Current Mode (BCM) control scheme to realize soft switching on a conventional single phase full bridge DC/AC inverter. This technique with the advantages of no auxiliary components, low cost, high efficiency, and simple in control, is attractive for micro-inverter applications. The operation principle and characteristic waveforms of the proposed soft switching technique are analyzed in theory. A digital controller is provided based on that theory. To balance the requirements of efficiency, switching frequency, and inductor size, the design considerations are discussed in detail to guide in BCM inverter construction. A 150W prototype is built under these guidelines to implement the BCM control scheme. Simulation and experiment results demonstrate the feasibilities of the proposed soft switching technique.
