  • The rapid expansion of the Internet in the past few years has rapidly increased the availability of digital data such as audio, images and videos to the public. Therefore, The need for copyright protect of digital data are increasing in the internet. In this paper, Color image(RGB model) is transformed into LUV model, it includes the characteristics of, human vision and then the U or V component is transformed into 3-level wavelet transform. we can insert watermark to several objects of an image separately The experimental results showed that the proposed watermarking algorithm was better than to other RGB watermarking algorithm.

  • In this paper, we propose a watermarking method for still images using Discrete Cosine Transform (DCT). Watermarking is a copyright protection technique for digital contents by hiding secret information into the contents. The proposed method embeds the watermark information into DCT coefficients. To obtain a watermarked image that is not only high quality but also has robustness for compression, we considered a method to change the degree of embedding by utilizing the activity of each DCT block. The simulation results show that the proposed scheme can obtain huh quality watermarked images and we can extract most of the embedded data even if they are compressed by JPEG scheme.

Digital Watermarking Algorithm for Multiview Images Generated by Three-Dimensional Warping

  • In this paper, we propose a watermarking method for protecting the ownership of three-dimensional (3D) content generated from depth and texture images. After selecting the target areas to preserve the watermark by depth-image-based rendering, the reference viewpoint image is moved right and left in the depth map until the maximum viewpoint change is obtained and the overlapped region is generated for marking space. The region is divided into four subparts and scanned. After applying discrete cosine transform, the watermarks are inserted. To extract the watermark, the viewpoint can be changed by referring to the viewpoint image and the corresponding depth image initially, before returning to the original viewpoint. The watermark embedding and extracting algorithm are based on quantization. The watermarked image is attacked by the methods of JPEG compression, blurring, sharpening, and salt-pepper noise.

  • Various methods of data compression have been developed to handle data within limited storage capacity and limited transmission speed. Recompression technology, a technology most recent among them, is a technology that can embed data regardless of the information entropy of a data. Recompression technology separates original multimedia data in to blocks and embeds 0 or 1 according to whether each block is flipped or not. In this paper, this technology has been applied on audio files. And was able to implement reversible watermarking for audio files.

  • Several studies have shown that the trust is a significant barrier for realizing the potential of e-commerce. Trust is not only a short-term issue but also the most significant long-term barrier for realizing the potentials of e-commerce. Because digital contents which have been used in e-commerce are easy to be duplicated, the enforcement of digital copyright protection is an important issue. Watermarking is a technique for labeling digital pictures by hiding secret information in the image. In this paper, a discrete wavelet transform(DWT) based technique for embedding digital watermark into image is proposed. The performance of the proposed watermarking is robust to a variety of signal distortions, such as JPEG and image processing operations.

Improved CRT-based Image Watermarking in DCT Domain for Copyright Protection (저작권 보호를 위한 DCT 영역에서의 향상된 CRT 기반 영상 워터마킹)

  • Digital watermarking techniques have been used as one of the means for copyright protection and authentication of multimedia data. Conventional Chinese Remainder Theorem(CRT)-based spatial domain watermarking techniques do not perform well under JPEG compression. However, it is seen that the CRT-based watermarking technique in Discrete Cosine Transform(DCT) domain performs well for JPEG compression. In this paper, an improved CRT-based image watermarking method in the DCT domain is proposed. The proposed method provides better robustness which decreases changes of absolute difference of residues against rounding errors due to DCT conversion and various attacks. Experimental results show that the proposed method has a good robustness against various attacks compared with the conventional CRT-based watermarking in DCT domain.

A Perceptually-Adaptive High-Capacity Color Image Watermarking System

  • Robust and perceptually-adaptive image watermarking algorithms have mainly targeted gray-scale images either at the modeling or embedding levels despite the widespread availability of color images. Only few of the existing algorithms are specifically designed for color images where color correlation and perception are constructively exploited. In this paper, a new perceptual and high-capacity color image watermarking solution is proposed based on the extension of Tsui et al. algorithm. The $CIEL^*a^*b^*$ space and the spatio-chromatic Fourier transform (SCFT) are combined along with a perceptual model to hide watermarks in color images where the embedding process reconciles between the conflicting requirements of digital watermarking. The perceptual model, based on an emerging color image model, exploits the non-uniform just-noticeable color difference (NUJNCD) thresholds of the $CIEL^*a^*b^*$ space. Also, spread-spectrum techniques and semi-random low-density parity check codes (SR-LDPC) are used to boost the watermark robustness and capacity. Unlike, existing color-based models, the data hiding capacity of our scheme relies on a game-theoretic model where upper bounds for watermark embedding are derived. Finally, the proposed watermarking solution outperforms existing color-based watermarking schemes in terms of robustness to standard image/color attacks, hiding capacity and imperceptibility.

  • The rapid progress of the software has enabled individuals to copy and remake digital contents, which was only done by professionals. However, this rapid growth of software has brought many other defects. As a solution to the problems, contents producer needs to have certification and inspection of its contents text and hold the proprietary rights. In this paper, the new video watermarking scheme is proposed which is appropriate for the requirements mentioned for digital video contents and it is applied to MPEG-2 video encoder and decoder. In order to insert watermark sequence for digital video data, watermarking used blocks reordering algorithm and SCL(secret code list). It is satisfied two properties of cryptography that confidentiality and integrity. We test the proposed algorithm to see its performance in terms of watermark capacity, compression robustness and visual quality impact. According to the experiment of proposed watermarking algorithm, we obtained satisfactory results that watermark can still be extracted after MPEG-2 re-encoding at lower bit rates. It is important property for data hiding and user authentication in video data.

Protection Algorithm of the Multimedia Contents in the Mobile Environment (모바일 환경하에서 멀티미디어 컨텐츠 보호 알고리즘)

  • In this paper, the digital watermarking algorithm is proposed using CDMA technique for protection of the mobile contents in the mobile environment. The digital watermarking was designed to robust the errors in the mobile environment where pathloss, multipath fading, interference, and noise exist. In case of the multimedia content service in the mobile environment, the construction method of the watermark, the algorithm of insertion and detection are also proposed. The watermark consists of the information of the mobile user. Invisibility and robustness required in watermarking are etimated. It is observed that PSNR of the mobile content inserted the watermark is 90.31 dB, and the signal processing and noise attack are also robust. Especially, because random noise occurs in wireless transmission can overcome, the proposed watermarking algorithm is adequate for protection of the multimedia contents in the mobile environment.
