  • Our Zn diffusion into n-type $GaAs_{0.60}P_{0.40}$ used ampoule-tube method to increase IV. N-type epitaxial wafers were preferred by $H_2SO_4$-based pre-treatment. $SiO_2$ thin film was deposited by PECVD for some wafers. Diffusion times and diffusion temperatures respectability are 1, 2, 3 hr and 775, $805^{\circ}C$. LED chips were fabricated by the diffused wafers at Fab. The peak wavelength of all chips showed about 625~650 nm and red color. The highest IV is about 270 mcd at the diffusion condition of $775^{\circ}C$, 3h for the wafers which didn't deposit $SiO_2$ thin films. Also, the longer diffusion time is the higher IV for the wafers which deposit $SiO_2$ thin films.

전산유체역학(CFD)를 활용한 정수공정에서 압력수 확산공정 진단 (Evaluation of Pressurized Water Diffusion in Water Treatment Process Using CFD)

  • 압력수 확산공정은 정수공정에서 응집제나 염소용해수를 고압의 압력수로 분사하여 혼합하는 공정이다. 본 연구의 목적은 압력수 확산공정에 대한 전산유체역학적(Computational Fluid Dynamics) 진단을 통해 투입한 약품의 완전 혼합거리 및 혼합 거리를 줄이기 위한 확산판의 크기와 설치거리를 도출하는 것이다. 진단결과 2,200 mm 대형관에 $5kg/cm^2$ 압력수를 50mm, 100 mm 분사관으로 분사할 경우 혼합이 완료되는 혼합거리는 4D였다. 혼합거리를 줄이기 위해 분사관 전방에 확산판을 설치할 경우 분사관이 50 mm일 때 0.1D 직경의 확산판을 분사관 전방 0.2D 거리에 설치하면 혼합거리를 3D로 줄일 수있다. 그러나 분사관이 100 mm인 경우는 확산판의 크기와 설치 거리와는 상관없이 확산판이 없는 4D보다 확산거리를 줄일 수 없는 것으로 진단되었다. 따라서 2,200 mm 관에 압력수를 분사하는 경우는 50 mm 분사관을 설치하는 것이 100 mm보다 훨씬 효율적인 것으로 나타났다.

소나무와 잣나무에서 붕산염 막대로부터 붕소의 확산 (The Diffusion of Boron from Borate Rod through Pinus densiflora and Pinus koraiensis)

  • 본 연구는 붕산염 막대(borate rod)를 이용한 고건축물 부재의 부후 구제처리에 대한 기초 연구로서, 소나무와 잣나무에서 붕산염 막대로부터 붕소의 확산시 목재 함수율과 확산기간의 영향을 조사하고자 수행하였다. 함수율이 15, 25, 40%로 조성된 목재 시험편에 1,000 mg의 붕산염 막대를 삽입한 후 상온에서 2, 4, 8, 12주간 확산시키고 붕소 성분의 수축 및 횡단방향 확산정도를 평가하였다. 붕소의 원활한 확산을 위해서는 적어도 섬유포화점 이상의 목재 함수율이 요구되었으며, 또한 확산기간의 연장될수록 붕소의 확산 정도가 증가하였다. 붕소 확산의 이방성이 관찰 되었는데, 수축방향 확산이 횡단방향보다 훨씬 우수하였으며 횡단방향에서는 방사방향 확산이 접선방향보다 우수하였다. 동일 함수율과 확산기간의 조합에서도 확산 정도는 수종간에 조금씩 상이하였는데, 모든 방향에서 잣나무를 통한 확산이 가장 용이하였다. 소나무 심재를 통한 수축방향 확산이 변재를 통한 확산보다 용이하였으며, 횡단방향 확산의 경우는 큰 차이는 없었으나 변재를 통한 확산이 심재를 통한 확산보다 약간 양호하였다. 함수율 40%와 확산기간이 12주인 시험편에 대한 결과를 기준으로 할 때, 붕산염 막대의 수축방향 적정 처리간격은 소나무 심재와 잣나무 심재의 경우는 약 120 mm, 소나무 변재의 경우는 60 mm이고, 횡단방향은 수종에 관계없이 공히 약 30 mm이었다. 그러나 보다 정확한 붕산염 막대의 적정 처리간격을 구명하기 위해서는 앞으로 붕산염 막대의 크기와 장기 확산저장이 붕소 성분의 확산에 미치는 영향에 대한 보다 심도 있는 연구가 필요하다고 생각된다.

Pt-Aluminide로 코팅된 초내열합금의 열처리에 따른 미세조직변화 (Effect of Heat Treatment on the Microstructural Evolution of Pt-aluminide Coated Ni-based Superalloy)

  • Microstructural evolution of Pt-aluminide coated Ni-based superalloy has been investigated with ductilization heat treatment. The Pt coat was prepared on the superalloy and then aluminide coating was conducted using a pack cementation process. Samples were heat-treated at $1050^{\circ}C$ for 2 hrs and the microstructure and element analysis were preformed. A various precipitated compounds were observed within the coating layer and the diffusion region in the Pt-aluminide coating and heat treatment, indicating that the bi-phase compounds of $PtAl_2$ and NiAl were performed during the Pt-aluminide coating, whereas $M_{23}C_6$, MC, $Ni_3Al$ and ${\sigma}$ phases were precipitated in the inter-diffusion region. The bi-phase compounds of $PtAl_2$ and NiAl were transformed into the single phase compound of $PtAl_2$ with the heat treatment, increasing the amount of carbide and ${\sigma}$ phase.

HPF 적용을 위한 극저탄소강의 강도에 미치는 침탄 열처리의 영향 (Strength Change in Ultra Low Carbon Steel due to Carburizing Heat Treatment for Hot Press Forming)

  • Strength change in ultra low carbon steel carburized at $880^{\circ}C$ and $930^{\circ}C$ for 10, 30, 60 and 120 minutes was investigated. The results were analyzed by a tensile test, chemical composition analysis, optical microscopy and scanning electron microscopy. Stress in the 0.5% strain specimen in the tensile test increased as the time treated at $880^{\circ}C$ and $930^{\circ}C$ increased, because the carbon diffusion layer and the martensite of the specimen increased with increasing treatment time. Martensite was found in the ferrite region in the specimen treated at $880^{\circ}C$, which is attributed to grain boundary diffusion.

  • 콘크리트는 내구성이 우수하여 반영구적인 구조재료로 인식되어 왔으나, 최근에 들어 환경오염으로 인해 콘크리트 구조물의 내구성이 저하되어 사회적 문제가 되고 있다. 이러한 콘크리트 구조물의 성능저하 방지를 위하여 무기질 도료 및 표면처리 시스템을 이용하여 콘크리트 내구성능의 하나인 염해의 열화 방지에 대한 평가와 콘크리트 내구성 평가를 실시하였다. 이온확산 실험결과 도포된 모르타르시편에서 $Cl^-$ 이온의 용출을 억제하여 $Cl^-$ 이온의 투과량, 이온확산계수 및 겉보기계수가 도포되지 않은 모르타르시편보다 작게 나타났다.

  • The grain growth characteristics of dual-phase (${\alpha}+{\gamma}$) containing high Cr-steel have investigate using ${\alpha}$-, ${\gamma}$-single phases and (${\alpha}+{\gamma}$)dual-phase of 12%Cr Steel. The heat treatment has performed at $1000-1200^{\circ}C$ for 1-100hr. The results are as follows : 1) The grain growth rate in (${\alpha}+{\gamma}$) dual phase was substantially slower than that of single grain. 2) The relation between mean grain radius $\bar{{\gamma}}$ and annealing time t is, in general, described as following equation : $$(\bar{{\gamma}})^n-(\bar{{\gamma}_o})^n=K_n{\cdot}t{\cdots}{\cdots}(1)$$ i) In the case of single phase of high Cr steel, Eq.(1) is described as $(\bar{{\gamma}})^2-(\bar{{\gamma}_o})^2=K_2{\cdot}t$ and the grain growth is controlled by boundary migration. ii) In dual phase, the grain growth needs diffusion of alloying elements because the chemical composition of ${\alpha}$- and ${\gamma}$- phases differs from each other. When the volume fraction of ${\alpha}$-, ${\gamma}$-phase was almost equal and ${\gamma}$-phase in the case of 80 and $90%{\gamma}$. Eq.(1) is described as $(\bar{{\gamma}})^3-(\bar{{\gamma}_o})^3=K_3{\cdot}t$ because the grain growth is controlled by volume diffusion iii) In the case of ${\gamma}$-rich phase (80 and $90%{\gamma}$), the grain growth of minor phase (10 and $20%{\alpha}$) is described as $(\bar{{\gamma}})^4-(\bar{{\gamma}_o})^4=K_4{\cdot}t$ because the boundary diffusion is predominent rather than volume diffusion.

무전해 Ni-B 도금을 이용한 플라즈마 디스플레이 버스 전극용 확산방지막의 열처리 영향 (Effect of Heat Treatment of the Diffusion Barrier for Bus Electrode of Plasma Display by Electroless Ni-B Deposition)

  • Thin Ni-B films, 1 ${\mu}m$ thick, were electrolessly deposited on Cu bus electrode fabricated by electro deposition. The purpose of these films is to encapsulate Cu electrodes for preventing Cu oxidation and to serve as a diffusion barrier against copper contamination of dielectric layer in AC-plasma display panel. The layers were heat treated at $580^{\circ}C$(baking temperature of dielectric layer) with and without pre-annealing at $300^{\circ}C$($Ni_{3}B$ formation temperature) for 30 minutes. In the layer with pre-annealing, amount of Cu diffusion was lower about 5 times than that in the layer without pre-annealing. The difference of Cu concentration could be attributed to Cu diffusion before $Ni_{3}B$ formation at grain boundaries. However, the diffusion behavior of the layer with pre-annealing was similar to that of the layer without pre-annealing after $Ni_{3}B$ formation. With increasing annealing time, Cu concentration of both layers increased due to grain growth.

  • Adsorption of melamine was examined using columns packed with granular activated carbon (GAC). Raw GAC was sieved with 20, 40, 60 and 80 mesh to determine the influence of adsorbent particle size on reaction and diffusion. The mass ratio of the adsorption capacity of GAC for melamine ranged from 9.19 to 11.06%, and adsorption rates increased with decreasing particle size within this range. Rate constants between 3.295 ~ 4.799 $min^{-1}$ were obtained using a pseudofirst-order equation that was used to determine adsorption kinetics. A surface diffusion model was adapted to take into account the unsteady-state equation of a spherical adsorbent by converting the surface concentration from a constant to a variable governed by a dispersion equation. The calculated values were fit with the experimental results by using the diffusion coefficients as regression parameters. The modified equation exhibited a more precise agreement with respect to the sum of the absolute error (SAE).

  • The objectives of this research were to evaluate the pressurized/the main inlet water flowrate ratio which have been used as the most important parameter for operating the pump diffusion mixer until now, to suggest the alternative operating parameter and the relating criteria if the flowrate ratio was not inadequate. For the objectives of this research, computational fluid dynamics (CFD) simulation was conducted for 21 cases of flowrate ratio in full-scaled pump diffusion mixer. From the results of CFD simulation, the local velocity gradient values were calculated in each case in order to analyze the simulation results in more detail. For verifying CFD simulation, wet test was conducted. The wet test was to measure the factual coagulant dispersion distribution at a distance of 5.4m from deflector. From both results of CFD simulation and wet test, flowrate ratio was inadequate as operating parameter or criteria, on the other hand the pressurized/the main inlet velocity ratio(dimensionless) was useful in predicting the performance of pump diffusion mixer. Also, the injected coagulant could be dispersed evenly in overall cross section on the condition that pressurized/the main inlet velocity ratio(dimensionless) is over at least 20.
