한국 수출중소기업에서 성과, 자원, 차별화 우위의 관계 및 조직 유기성의 조절 효과 연구 (The effect of resource, differentiation advantage and the moderated role of organicity of organization on performance of export firm in Korea)

  • 본 연구는 국내 수출중소기업을 대상으로 자원, 차별화 우위, 조직 유기성 그리고 수출성과의 관계를 살펴보기 위한 목적으로 진행되었다. 또한, 조직 유기성에 대한 이론적 논의를 통해 조절 효과를 분석하기 위한 통합적 모형을 구축하였다. 자원은 재무자원과 인적자원으로 나누어 설정하였다. 선행연구에 따라 8개의 가설을 설정하였다. 가설검정을 위해 377개 수출기업 표본을 대상으로 구조방정식 모형인 PLS(Partial Least Square) 분석을 시행하였다. 실증분석 결과 재무자원과 인적자원은 모두 차별화 우위에 유의한 영향을 미치고 있었다. 더불어 차별화 우위와 조직 유기성은 수출성과에 유의한 영향을 주고 있음을 확인하였다. 또한, 조절 효과에 대한 분석에서 조직 유기성은 재무자원과 차별화 우위 사이에 그리고 차별화 우위와 수출성과 사이에 유의한 조절 효과를 나타냈다. 그러나 인적자원과 차별화 우위 사이에는 유의한 조절 효과를 나타내지 못했다. 이러한 결과는 조직 유기성이 높을 때 외국시장 변화에 적응하는 데 필요한 차별화 우위가 영향을 받는다는 것을 보여준다. 이후 분석결과에 대한 이론적, 실무적 시사점을 논의하였으며, 연구의 한계 및 앞으로의 방향에 대해 살펴보았다.

Influence of co-culturing muscle satellite cells with preadipocytes on the differentiation of adipocytes and muscle cells isolated from Korean native cattle

  • The present study was done to investigate the effect of co-culturing muscle satellite cells (MSCs) and intramuscular preadipocytes (IPs) on the differentiation of adipocytes and muscle cells isolated from Korean native cattle. MSCs and IPs were single-cultured in 10% fetal bovine serum/Dulbecco's modified Eagles medium (FBS/DMEM) for 48 h followed by culturing in 5% FBS/DMEM as the growth media. Then, the growth media was replaced by differentiation media composed of 2% FBS/DMEM without any additives for the single- or co-culture of muscle cells and intramuscular adipocytes to induce the differentiation of both cell types. Cell differentiation was measured by morphological investigation and cytosolic enzyme analysis of glycerol-3-phosphate dehydrogenase (GPDH) for the adipocytes and creatine kinase (CK) for the muscle cells. In the morphological test, the presence of muscle cells did not stimulate adipocyte differentiation showing more differentiation of the adipocytes in the single-culture compared to the co-culture condition. However, the differentiation of muscle cells was promoted by adipocytes in the co-culture. The results of the enzymatic analysis were highly associated with the morphological results with a statistically higher GPDH activity (p < 0.05) appearing in the single-culture than in the co-culture, whereas the opposite was true for the CK activity of the muscle cells (p < 0.05). By manipulating in vivo the milieu using a co-culture, we could detect the difference in the rate of cell differentiation and suggest that a co-culture system is a more reliable and precise technique compared to a single-culture. Further studies on various co-culture trials including supplementation of differentiating substances, gene expression analysis, etc. should be done to obtain practical and fundamental data.

20대 성인 남녀가 지각한 부모-자녀 관계와 자기분화가 대인관계 문제에 미치는 영향 (The effect of parent-young adult relationship and self-differentiation on interpersonal problems among 20s)

  • Objectives: The purpose of this study was to examine the effects of parent-young adult relationship and self-differentiation on interpersonal problems among 20s. Method: The subjects were 504(195 male, 309 female) young adults in their twenties. The questionnaire was consisted of measures on the Parent-Child Relationship Instrument, Self-Differentiation Inventory, and Short form of Korean Inventory of Interpersonal Problems Circumplex. Descriptive, t-test, correlation, and hierarchical regression analyses were conducted with SPSS 23.0. Results: The major findings are as follow. First, the result showed that there were gender differences in the level of self-differentiation and interpersonal problems, while there were no differences between male and female in parent-young adult relationship. Second, correlational analyses results indicated that parent-young adult relationship was positively related with the level of self-differentiation. However parent-young adult relationship and the level of self-differentiation were negatively related with the interpersonal problems. Third, hierarchical regression analyses showed that parent-young adult relationship and the level of self-differentiation had significant influences on the interpersonal problems(moving toward people, moving against people and moving away from people among 20s). Conclusions: The results indicate that both parent-young adult relationship and the level of self-differentiation need to be considered to reduce young adults' interpersonal problems in counseling situations.

Nicotinamide phosphoribosyltransferase regulates the cell differentiation and mineralization in cultured odontoblasts

  • The aim of the present study was to investigate the physiological role of nicotinamide phosphoribosyltransferase (NAMPT) associated with odontogenic differentiation during tooth development in mice. Mouse dental papilla cell-23 (MDPC-23) cells cultured in differentiation media were stimulated with the specific NAMPT inhibitor, FK866, and Visfatin (NAMPT) for up to 10 days. The cells were evaluated after 0, 4, 7, and 10 days. Cell viability was measured using the 3-(4,5-dimethylthiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide assay. The mineralization assay was performed by staining MDPC-23 cells with Alizarin Red S solution. After cultivation, MDPC-23 cells were harvested for quantitative PCR or Western blotting. Analysis of variance was performed using StatView 5.0 software (SAS Institute Inc., Cary, NC, USA). Statistical significance was set at p < 0.05. The expression of NAMPT increased during the differentiation of murine odontoblast-like MDPC-23 cells. Furthermore, the up-regulation of NAMPT promoted odontogenic differentiation and accelerated mineralization through an increase in representative odontoblastic biomarkers, such as dentin sialophosphoprotein, dentin matrix protein-1, and alkaline phosphatase in MDPC-23 cells. However, treatment of the cells with the NAMPT inhibitor, FK866, attenuated odontogenic differentiation, as evidenced by the suppression of odontoblastic biomarkers. These data indicate that NAMPT regulated odontoblastic differentiation through the regulation of odontoblastic biomarkers. The increase in NAMPT expression in odontoblasts was closely related to the formation of the extracellular matrix and dentin via the Runx signaling pathway. Therefore, these data suggest that NAMPT is a critical regulator of odontoblast differentiation during tooth development.

음양변증(陰陽辨證)의 정의와 기능 및 판별방법 연구 (Definition, Role and Method of Yinyang Pattern Differentiation)

  • In order to ensure the fact that eight principle pattern differentiation is used clinically as a basic guideline for Korean medicine practice, the definition, role and method of yin-yang pattern differentiation with its case report were explored at first. Yinyang Pattern Differentiation is a method of discriminating human tendencies or morbidity based on the yin and yang characteristics expressed in living bodies. And yin and yang are the two contrasting characteristics and aspects of the interaction when certain physical conditions that have a lasting effect on the human physiological metabolic function are correlated with the morbidity. Specific methods of yinyang pattern differentiation can be divided into several types of yin and yang indicators. First, time and space factors like day and night, hot and cold seasons, above and below, topographical districts. Second, colors and pulse and their/or relative clearness and muddiness, hardness and softness, moving and resting. Third, diagnose yin and yang patterns through distinguishing the true and false of a fever and cold in an emergency phase such as increase of brain pressure and shock state. Fourth, general characteristics of the propensity and constitution of a subject such as body type, speech, behavior, and physiological metabolism. And for clinical use, these were summarized again as a symptom indicators of physical signs and color, pulse, tongue and questionnaire indicators of propensity, body type, and space-time characteristics. Conclusively, it was confirmed that yinyang pattern differentiation has its own diagnostic significance which is distinct from exterior-interior, cold-heat and deficiency-excess pattern differentiation.

가족분화수준, 가족관계의 질 및 친밀감간의 관계 (The family differentiation level, quality of family relationship, and intimacy)

  • 본 연구에서는 성인기 자녀 381명을 대상으로 가족분화수준, 가족관계의 질 및 친밀감간의 관계를 살펴보았다. 첫째, 가족분화수준과 가족관계의 질간의 관계를 통하여 가족분화의 개념이 원가족에 대해 지각하는 정서적 건강과 실제 가족관계에서 심리적 안녕감을 나타내는 개념인지 알아보았다. 그 결과, 가족분화수준과 가족관계의 질간에는 유의한 정적 상관을 보였다. 둘째, 원가족의 가족분화수준과 성인기 자녀의 이성파트너와의 친밀감간의 관계를 토대로 원가족의 부모와의 정서적 역동이 성인기 자녀의 현재 이성파트너와의 관계에 영향을 미치는지 살펴보았다. 연구결과, 성인기 자녀는 모든 하위체계에서 원가족의 가족분화수준과 이성파트너와의 친밀감간의 관계에서 유의한 정적 상관을 보였으며, 아들이 딸보다 부모의 가족분화수준에 민감한 것으로 나타났다.

Laminin as a Key Extracellular Matrix for Proliferation, Differentiation, and Maturation of Porcine Muscle Stem Cell Cultivation

  • Extracellular matrix (ECM) proteins play a crucial role in culturing muscle stem cells (MuSCs). However, there is a lack of extensive research on how each of these proteins influences proliferation and differentiation of MuSCs from livestock animals. Therefore, we investigated the effects of various ECM coatings-collagen, fibronectin, gelatin, and laminin-on the proliferation, differentiation, and maturation of porcine MuSCs. Porcine MuSCs, isolated from 14-day-old Berkshire piglets, were cultured on ECM-coated plates, undergoing three days of proliferation followed by three days of differentiation. MuSCs on laminin showed higher proliferation rate than others (p<0.05). There was no significant difference in the mRNA expression levels of PAX7, MYF5, and MYOD among MuSCs on laminin, collagen, and fibronectin (p>0.05). During the differentiation period, MuSCs cultured on laminin exhibited a significantly higher differentiation rate, resulting in thicker myotubes compared to those on other ECMs (p<0.05). Also, MuSCs on laminin showed higher expression of mRNA related with maturated muscle fiber such as MYH1 and MYH4 corresponding to muscle fiber type IIx and muscle fiber type IIb, respectively, compared with MuSCs on other ECM coatings (p<0.05). In summary, our comparison of ECMs revealed that laminin significantly enhances MuSC proliferation and differentiation, outperforming other ECMs. Specifically, muscle fibers cultured on laminin exhibited a more mature phenotype. These findings underscore laminin's potential to advance in vitro muscle research and cultured meat production, highlighting its role in supporting rapid cell proliferation, higher differentiation rates, and the development of mature muscle fibers.

Microarray Profiling of Genes Differentially Expressed during Erythroid Differentiation of Murine Erythroleukemia Cells

  • Murine erythroleukemia (MEL) cells are widely used to study erythroid differentiation thanks to their ability to terminally differentiate in vitro in response to chemical induction. At the molecular level, not much is known of their terminal differentiation apart from activation of adult-type globin gene expression. We examined changes in gene expression during the terminal differentiation of these cells using microarray-based technology. We identified 180 genes whose expression changed significantly during differentiation. The microarray data were analyzed by hierarchical and k-means clustering and confirmed by semi-quantitative RT-PCR. We identified several genes including H1f0, Bnip3, Mgl2, ST7L, and Cbll1 that could be useful markers for erythropoiesis. These genetic markers should be a valuable resource both as potential regulators in functional studies of erythroid differentiation, and as straightforward cell type markers.

The Role of S100A8 and S100A9 in Differentiation of Human Eosinophilic Leukemia Cells, EoL-1

  • S100A8 and S100A9 are associated with myeloid cell differentiation, chemotactic activities, adhesion of neutrophils, and apoptosis. In this study, we investigated the contribution of S100A8 and S100A9 to differentiation of the human eosinophilic leukemia cell line, EoL-1. S100A8 and S100A9 increased the number of vacuole per one cell and the protein expression of EPO and MBP. Rottlerin, an inhibitor of protein kinase C delta ($PKC{\delta}$), inhibited the EoL-1 cell differentiation induced by S100A8 and S100A9. These results suggest that S100A8 and S100A9 may regulate the differentiation of eosinophilic progenitors. Moreover, these findings may shed light on elucidation of eosinophil differentiation due to S100 proteins.

  • Interferon-tau (IFN-τ) is the primary agent responsible for maternal recognition of pregnancy in cattle. Bovine embryos begine to express IFN-τ as the blastocyst forms. Pregnancy recognition in ruminants occurs when IFN-τ from the trophoblast prevents the increase of oxytocin receptors, disrupting luteolytic pulses of prostaglandin (PG) F2a by oxytocin. The expression of IFN-τ is strongly associated with the degree of methylation of the CpG islands in promoter region. (omitted)
