Objectives: The current study was performed to compare the bee venom pharmacopuncture skin test reactions among groups with different sexes and Sasang constitutions. Methods: Between July 2012 and June 2013, all 76 patients who underwent bee venom pharmacopuncture skin tests and Sasang constitution diagnoses at Oriental Medicine Hospital of Sangji University were included in this study. The skin test was performed on the patient's forearm intracutaneously with 0.05 ml of sweet bee venom (SBV) on their first visit. If the patients showed a positive response, the test was discontinued. On the other hand, if the patient showed a negative response, the test was performed on the opposite forearm intracutaneously with 0.05 ml of bee venom pharmacopuncture 25% on the next day or the next visit. Three groups were made to compare the differences in the bee venom pharmacopuncture skin tests according to sexual difference and Sasang constitution: group A showed a positive response to SBV, group B showed a positive response to bee venom pharmacopuncture 25%, and group C showed a negative response on all bee venom pharmacopuncture skin tests. Fisher's exact test was performed to evaluate the differences statistically. Results: The results of the bee venom pharmacopuncture skin tests showed no significant differences according to Sasang constitution (P = 0.300) or sexual difference (P = 0.163). Conclusion: No significant differences on the results of bee venom pharmacopuncture skin tests were observed according to two factors, Sasang constitution and the sexual difference.

Objective: This study aims to analyze the effect of regular exercise through the combined walking-oriented aerobic and resistance exercises using EX1 in young adults. Design: Experimental one group pre and post test Methods: Participants comprised17 healthy young adults. All subjects performed a combined exercise program for 10 times using EX1. We measured quadriceps muscle thickness using ultrasound. Additionally, the hand grip strength test, and sit and reach test were performed before and after the exercise. Through paired t-test, we investigated whether there was a statistically significant difference in the measurement results after exercise program. Results: The rectus femoris muscle contraction ratio showed significant difference after exercise(P< 0.01). In the sit and reach test, flexibility showed significant difference after exercise(P < 0.01). The hand grip strength test also showed significant difference after exercise(P < 0.05). Conclusions: Healthy young adults can effectively perform various exercises commonly performed in daily life using EX1.
This study performed fault test on global positoining system (GPS) carrier phase measurements, which is a preprocessing step to generate the positioning correction information based on the global navigation satellite system (GNSS) infrastructure. The existing carrier acceleration ramp step test (CARST) method affects the test result by using the mean value to eliminate the receiver clock error. In this regard, this study applied differencing and compared its results with those of the existing CARST. The fault simulation that applied artificial faults to the actual data found that the fault could be detected independently on each satellite when difference method was applied, and the single difference CARST and the double difference CARST produced similar results. The comparison with the existing method using actual data demonstrated the strengths and weaknesses of satellite and station single difference. Nevertheless, it is our understanding that it would require an additional analysis to determine whether the results were affected by the satellite or receiver clock error.

The Korea Research Institute of Ships and Ocean Engineering (KRISO) has developed a test module that can vertically ascend and descend with a buoyancy engine to verify the performance of the developed buoyancy engine. The independent test module has been tested in the Ocean Engineering Basin(C.M.Lee et al., 2023). After that, more tests were performed in the Deep Ocean Engineering Basin and at sea. In the 50-meter depth pit test of the Deep Ocean Engineering Basin, there were no problems with the ascent and descent operations, but the buoyancy engine was not properly maintained due to various problems in the independent test module, resulting in a difference between the calculated results using the solution of the equations of motion and the actual measurement results. The East Sea test was conducted at a depth of approximately 110 meters north-east of Pohang, with a dive to 100 meters. The difference between the pressure sensor value and the calculated value was observed, but after checking the results of the underwater position tracking device(USBL, Ultra Short Base Line system), it was estimated that the difference was caused by the influence of the current.

Background: This study investigated the effects of face-to-face and non-face-to-face McKenzie exercises and elastic band strengthening exercises on falls and fitness in older adults. Methods: A total of 44 subjects were divided into a face-to-face group (FG; n=22) and a non-face-to-face group (NFG; n=22) who met older adults. Both groups used McKenzie exercises and strength training with elastic bands The fall efficacy scale (K-FES) and glycosylated hemoglobin (HbA1c) Pro were used to compare the senior fitness test (SFT). Results: No significant differences were detected between the two groups before the intervention; however, a significant difference was noted in the K-FES scores after the intervention. The change in HbA1c after the intervention was not statistically significant in the FG or the NFG, and no significant difference was detected between the two groups. The change in lower limb muscle strength in the elderly physical fitness test showed no significant difference between the two groups before or after the intervention. The change in upper limb flexibility after the intervention was not significantly different in the FG or NFG, indicating no significant difference between the two groups. The change in the 3-meter round-trip test after the intervention was significantly different in both the FG and NFG groups, but the difference between the groups was not statistically significant. The change in the grip strength test of the dominant hand showed no significant difference after the intervention in the FG or the NFG, and the difference between the FG and NFG groups was not statistically significant. The dominant foot external standing after the intervention was significantly improved in the FG, but no significant difference was detected in the NFG, and the difference between the two groups was not statistically significant. Conclusion: The study findings revealed that FG and NFG McKenzie exercises and elastic band strengthen exercises were equally effective at preventing falls and improving fitness in older adults.

The new course distances of a ship are one of the important factors of the safety handling as the indices to indicate directly her abilities of course alteration. Recently, International Maritime Organization (IMO) exhorts that all vessels should use maneuvering booklets in which are drawn the curves of new course distances obtained from the test of measuring them and noted other maneuvering performance standard in various navigation conditions. This paper describes the method to calculate many new course distances for many rudder angles by turning circle test without observation or using other calculating methods. The main results are as follows: 1) The mean difference of the distances between two new course distances by the turning circle test and heading test of the experimental ship was about 7.7% vaules of the ones by the heading test. when her altering angles were $48^{\circ}$, $63^{\circ}$and $70^{\circ}$, using the rudder angle of $35^{\circ}$ . These new course distances were therefore found to be small in difference of those. 2) The mean difference of the distance between two new course distances by the turning circle test and the maneuvering indices of the experimental ship was about 4.5% values of the ones by the maneuvering indices, when her altering angles were $48^{\circ}$, $63^{\circ}$and $70^{\circ}$, using the rudder angle of $35^{\circ}$, these new course distances were therefore found to be small in difference of those. 3) The mean difference of the distance between two new course distances by the turning circle test and the observation of the experimental ship was about 6.1% values of the ones by the observation, when her altering angles were $48^{\circ}$, $63^{\circ}$and $70^{\circ}$, using the rudder angle of $35^{\circ}$. These new course distances were therefore found to be small in difference of those. 4) It is confirmed that many new course distances for many angles can be calculated easily by using the method of ship's simple turning circle test, without observation or using the maneuvering indices and heading test method. 5) It is considered to be helpful for the safety of ship handling to draw curves of new course distances by turning circle test and $\phi_4$ - $\phi_2 by heading test, and utilize them at sea.

The central purpose of the current research is to identify how 12-week bodybuilding exercise affects muscle dysmorphia. The research subjects consisted of an experimental group and a control group, each with 16 freshmen at college. MDI(muscle dysmorphic inventory), developed by Schlundt, Woodford, Brownlee(2000) was utilized to collect relevant data, which was analyzed by PASW 18.0. An independent two sample t-test was conducted to see whether there exists any significant difference between the two groups in the pre- and the post-tests. A paired t-test, in turn, was performed to identify whether there is any difference between the two tests for each group. The statistical significance level was set at p<.05. It was found that the experimental group marked a higher level of muscle dysmorphia than the control group in the pre-test. It was also found that muscle dysmorphia of the experimental group increased in the post-test, while no significant difference was manifested in the control group in the post-test.

Today, natural ventilation systems are widely applied in multi-family housing. However, studies using the wind data trend line of the blower door test are insufficient. Purpose: Through this study, we will propose a computational method about ventilation performance of natural ventilation systems by conducting blower door test. Method: First, we sealed the gaps between the main systems including the natural ventilation system and conducted the blower door test. Next, the natural ventilation system was opened, the blower door test was conducted, and the difference in air flow rate between when closed and when opened was checked. Blower door test was carried out with a pressure difference of 50 Pa. Result: Therefore, the ventilation performance of the natural ventilation system was checked by drawing a trend line using the data to calculate the air flow rate at 2 Pa of the natural ventilation equipment standard pressure difference.
