고유수용성신경근촉진법 중 하지패턴이 경부 굴곡근 근활성도에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Proprioceptive Neuromuscular Facilitation Leg Patterns on the Muscle Activation of Neck Flexors)

  • The aim of the present study was to determine the effect of proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF) leg patterns on the muscle activation of neck flexors. Twenty healthy subjects participated in this study. Each subject performed bilateral asymmetrical PNF leg patterns against manual resistance under four conditions: through the full range of motion toward the right side, left side, and the end range in the right side, left side. Electromyographic (EMG) data was collected from the sternocleidomastoid (SCM) muscles as neck flexors. The root mean square (RMS) value of the SCM was measured and normalized from maximal EMG activity of the SCM. The data were analyzed using the paired t-test and repeated analysis of variance (ANOV A) was used to compare the statistical significance. The results of this study are summarized as follows: Firstly, the RMS values of SCM were significantly higher in all four PNF leg patterns than in the resting condition (p<.05). Secondly, there was no significant difference in muscle activation according to the direction of PNF leg patterns (p>.05). Thirdly, there was no significant difference in muscle activation according to the point of range of the motion of leg patterns (p>.05). It is suggested that PNF bilateral asymmetrical leg patterns have a considerable effect on muscle activation of the SCM, regardless of the range of motion and direction of PNF bilateral asymmetrical leg patterns.

체형(体型)에 따른 스커트원형연구(原型硏究) (A Study on Skirt Pattern by Somatotype)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the relationship between body-types and skirt-patterns by analyzing various fitting conditions of the skirt patterns in relation to the body-types. To achieve this, fitting tests were done on six types of skirt-patterns. The tests included four body-types selected according to the existing classification of the types of under part of the body. Sensory tests were performed on the existing patterns and new drafting method based on the results of the fitting tests. The results of the fitting tests and sensory test are as follows. 1. The existing skirt-patterns were relatively well-fitted except for certain parts in standard somatotype (body-type A). 2. The new drafting method, designed on the basis of the fitting test on the existing patterns, scored high on all of the eighteen items included in the test This signifies the excellence of the new drafting method. 3. In the case of the allocation between the front and the back, which is the difference between the educational patterns and industrial patterns, the best silhouette was achieved when the hip-line and the waist-line were same sized both in the back and in the front. However, in the case of body-type D it was better when there was a 1cm difference between the back and the front. 4. The number of darts that best fits young persons were found to be eight, to keep their side hip-curve smooth. Further, it is desirable to set the center line of the dart as the vertical waist-line. 5. The best length of the darts were determined to be 12.5cm, 11ch in the back, and 11cm, 9.5cm in the front. Adjustments would be made according to the differing body-types in the range of 0.5cm. 6. The lowerness of the back waist-line for the normal was determined at 1.5cm, with some variations in other body-types. 7. The front waist-line was needed to be 1cm lowered in the case of body-type B, whereas, in the case of body-type D, it was needed to be 1cm raised.

중환자실 환자의 수면양상, 수면장애특성 및 수면장애요인 (Sleep Patterns of ICU Patients, Characteristics and Factors Related to Sleep Disturbance)

  • Purpose: This study was done to examine the sleep pattern of ICU patients, as well as characteristics of, and factors related to sleep disturbances, and state anxiety. It was done to provide the basic data fur effective nursing interventions to improve quality of sleep for these patients. Methods: The participants were 104 patients who were admitted to the surgical ICU in a hospital in Seoul. To measure sleep patterns, the Verran and Snyder-Halpern Sleep Scale and the Sleeping Scale developed by Oh et al.(1998) were used. Characteristics of sleep disturbances were measured using the Sleep characteristics scale developed by Park(1999). To measure factors related to sleep disturbances, thirty items developed by Oh(1998) were used. Results: There was no statistically significant difference in the sleep patterns according to the general characteristics of the patients. The characteristics of sleep disturbances showed statistically significant differences in general and specific characteristics of sleep patterns but there was no statistically significant difference according to the general characteristics of the patients. There were significant negative correlations between factors related to sleep disturbances and general and specific characteristics of sleep patterns but there were no statistically significant difference according to the general characteristics of the patients. Conclusion: The results showed that the majority of patients staying in the surgical ICU experienced sleep disturbances and that the physical factor was the major factor of sleep disturbances.

악관절 폐구성 과두걸림 환자의 하악운동에 관한 연구 -치료전후의 하악운동 범위 및 양상 - (A Study on the Mandibular Movements in the Patients with TMJ Lock Closed -Range and pattern of mandibulr movement-)

  • The authors examined the patterns and various ranges of mandibular movements in TMJ lock closed patients in the frontal, sagittal and horizontal plane pre-end post-treatment. And the author obtained the following results. 1. In the frontal plane, the patterns and ranges of mandibular movement of the patients were very irregular and small before treatment. But after the treatment, the patterns were similar to the typical shield shape of the normal subjects. And the velocity of opening and closing was improved after the treatment. 2. In the sagittal plane, the mean amount of maximum mouth opening was 27.0±4.0mm before treatment and 44.0±5.4mm after treatment. And there was statistically significant improvement(p<0.005). The patterns of the movement were very irregular and small before treatment, but were similar to the shape of "Posselt's envelope of motion" after the treatment. The velocity of opening and closing was improved after the treatment 3. In the horizontal plane, the mean amount of maximum laterotrusion was 8l2±2.5mm in the affected side and 6.7±2.2mm in the non-affected side before treatment. There was a significant difference between the sides(p<0.05). After the treatment, the mean was 10.4±2.6mm in the affected side and 8.9±2.3mm in the non-affected side and there was no significant difference between the sides(p>0.05). There was no significant difference in the mean amount of maximum protrusion between the before and aftertreatment(p>0.05), but the patterns of the movements were improved.

  • 등간격 안테나 소자들로 구성된 모노펄스 추적용 선형 배열 안테나의 합 및 차 패턴 합성 문제에서 원하는 패턴을 만족시키도록 하는 개별 안테나 급전 여기 전류의 상대적인 가중치들을 도출하는 효율적인 수치적 방법을 제안한다. 이 방법은 패턴 배열 인자를 표현하는 Schelkunoff 다항식에 내재된 패턴 null 점들의 최적 섭동에 기본을 둔다. 따라서 여기 전류 가중치들을 직접 최적화하는 기존의 방식과는 달리, 이 방법은 null 점 제어에 의해 원하는 개별 sidelobe 레벨(SLL)들을 갖는 패턴과 해당 여기 전류 가중치들을 쉽게 합성할 수 있는 장점을 가진다. 또한, 최적화 과정에서 null 점 초기값에 따라 두 가지 형태의 차 패턴들을 합성할 수 있음을 보인다. 임의의 SLL들을 갖는 패턴들을 합성하고, 도출된 결과들을 배열 인자 식에 대입함으로써 제안한 방법의 타당성을 수치적으로 검증한다.

고려인삼과 미국삼 뿌리 중심부의 단백질 패턴 비교 (Comparison of Protein Patterns of the Root Pith from Panax ginseng and Panax quirnquefolium)

  • The purpose of this study was to analyze the electrophoretic patterns of soluble proteins from ginseng roots and to compare the protein patterns from Korean ginseng and American quinquefolium. The size difference was found in the major protein bands of a molecular weight of about 27,000 between Korean ginseng and American quinquefolium. The protein band of a molecular weight of 22,000 showed a quantitative difference in its amount. The major 27 K proteins appeared to form a complex heterodimer of 66,000 and to have internal bisulfide bonds, from band shifting studies under non-denaturing conditions. Three peaks appeared when the protein extract from root homogenates was purified using gel filtration and DEAE ion exchange chromatography. The examination of physiological activity and further purification of these fractions are underway.

팔 유형 특성에 따른 소매 적합성 연구 (A Study on the Sleeve Fitness According to Characteristics of Arm Types)

  • The purpose of this study were to examine the characteristics of arm types proposed in the previous study and to present sleeve patterns according size and shape of 4 arm types. 31 direct and indirect items were measured. The subjects for this study were 132 females of twenties. The results were as follows. 1. All of the direct measurements showed significant difference by the arm types. especially at the front armhole part. Such a.: the items of arm gradients, armhole sizes belong to the indirect measurements made clear difference also. 2. By the discriminant analysis, 9 items including underarm length, front armhole girth, upper arm girth, degree of elbow point-wrist point discriminated arm type by the hit ratio of 90.4% Item related to shape of arm rather than size made a sharp distinction. 3. Through the examination of existing patterns and wearing tests on the subjects among 4 groups, sleeve patterns classified by the arm type were suggested.

Bacillus thuringiensis 항원들의 면역학적 분석 (Immunological Characterization of Bacillus thuringiensis Antigens)

  • This study was carried out to immunologically characterize Bacillus thuringiensis (B.t) antigens. Protein patterns of ultrasonicated- antigens of B. thuringiensis subspecies using SDS- PAGE revealed marked similarities among all the strains analyzed except for the difference between quantative variations of bands and some protein antigens. The comparison of the protein patterns showed that the protein antigen of 45 kilodalton (kd) was common in 11 strains and that the difference between B. thuringiensis subsp. canadensis and galleriae was noticed in quantative variations of bands despite of ambiguous serogrouping, suggesting a useful method for identification. All strains examined showed similar antigenic patterns in SDS-PAGE, while immunodominant bands differed in antigenic reactivity in western blot using polyclonal antibodies. Polyclonal antibody to B. thuringiensis subsp. thuringiensis and israelensis in indirect immunofluorescence assay reacted with flagella and cell surface antigens. The present study indicates that SDS-PAGE and western blot analysis may be used as tools for differentiation and identification of B. thuringiensis subspecies.

변형된 코노스코픽 홀로그래피를 이용한 바이어스와 공액영상의 제거 (Removal of bias and conjugate image using the modified conoscopic holography)

  • Conoscopic holography, which consists of two linear polarizers and two wave plates, and an uniaxial crystal, is incoherent holographic technology for three-dimensional display. In the uniaxial crystal, the wave from object divides into extraordinary and ordinary waves and phase difference between two waves is caused by the different refractive index of two waves. Four intensity patterns, which are made by phase difference, are obtained using LCLV(liquid crystal light valve) and conoscopic holography system. By combining four intensity patterns, the complex hologram without bias and conjugate image. In this paper, we propose the optimized system, which consists of a wave plate and a linear polarizer, and uniaxial crystal. In the proposed system, it doesn't need LCLV. By adjusting the azimuth angle of a linear polarizer and a wave plate, we derive four intensity patterns in recording plane. We demonstrate theoretically that the complex hologram with bias and a conjugate image is obtained using the proposed system.

X-선 영상과 합성곱 신경망을 이용한 육류 내의 바늘 검출 (Detection of Needles in Meat using X-Ray Images and Convolution Neural Networks)

  • The most lethal foreign body in meat is a needle, and X-ray images are used to detect it. However, because the difference in thickness and fat content is severe depending on the type of meat and the part of the meat, the shade difference and contrast appear severe. This problem causes difficulty in automatic classification. In this paper, we propose a method for generating training patterns by efficient pre-processing and classifying needles in meat using a convolution neural network. Approximately 24000 training patterns and 4000 test patterns were used to verify the proposed method, and an accuracy of 99.8% was achieved.
