미취학 아동의 치아우식증과 식습관 및 간식섭취와의 관계 (A study on the correlation between the dental caries and dietary habits and snack intake of pre-school children)

  • Objectives : The purpose of this study was to correlation between the index of dental caries in primary teeth and the habits of diet and snack which are expected to influence on the index. The subjects of this study were 165 parents of the children who visited a pediatric dental hospital located in Gyeong-gi do from Jun. 15th to Sep. 26th, 2009, and the self-report questionnaire survey was performed. Methods : A questionnaire used in a previous study was revised and completed for this study and it consisted of 15 items on general characteristic, nine items on dietary habit, and five items on snack intake habit. The collected data was analyzed using SPSS program and findings are as follows Results : 1. The index of dental caries in primary teeth by ages was that children of four years old has 4~5 with 27.5%, children of five years old has 2~3 and 4~5 with 33.3% and children of six years old has 1 and 8~9 with 25.6%, showing a statistically significant(${\chi}^2$=37.72, p<.01). 2. The frequency of brushing teeth was found to have statistically significant negative correlation with the number of primary teeth with dental caries (${\chi}^2$=61.20, p<.001). 3. The frequency of taking snack was found to have statistically significant positive correlation with the number of primary teeth with dental caries (${\chi}^2$=51.42, p<.001). 4. The desirability of dietary habit was found to have statistically significant negative correlation with the number of primary teeth with dental caries (${\chi}^2$=36.51, p<.001). 5. The frequency of taking biscuit was found to have statistically significant positive correlation with the number of primary teeth with dental caries (${\chi}^2$=67.74, p<.001). 6. The frequency of taking bread was found to have statistically significant positive correlation with the number of primary teeth with dental caries (${\chi}^2$=29.63, p<.01). 7. The frequency of taking caramel and candy was found to have statistically significant positive correlation with the number of primary teeth with dental caries (${\chi}^2$=38.85, p<.001). 8. The frequency of taking soft drinks was found to have statistically significant positive correlation with the number of primary teeth with dental caries (${\chi}^2$=52.92, p<.001). 9. The frequency of taking ice-creams was found to have statistically significant positive correlation with the number of primary teeth with dental caries (${\chi}^2$=75.07, p<.001). Conclusions : Those findings show that the children with undesirable dietary habit and higher frequency of taking snack have higher index of dental caries in primary teeth, therefore, it is considered that the regular brushing teeth and establishment of desirable dietary habit are very important for keeping health oral cavity. It is recommended that the continuous concern and repeated learning are needed in house and group of rearing infants so that the children take foods of fruits which have function of self-purification than the food of carbohydrates which has high adhesion and level of sweetness.

Delphi방법을 이용한 일차의료 고혈압 진료지침 개발 및 적용 (Establishment and Application of the Guideline for Hypertension by Delphi Method in the Field of Primary Medical Care)

  • Background: Guideline for practice is useful because it can be the standard for assessment and way to improve quality. We need to take account of expert opinion and consensus as well as scientific evidences to develope practice guideline because it should be practical. Delphi method has been developed to gather opinions from experts fairly. This study was designed to develop practice guideline and apply it to practices as a method to improve quality in primary medical care. Methods: Hypertension(in adults over 18 years old) was selected as a target problem. Self questionnaires about management of hypertensive patients were developed by a researcher with advice of 11 experts. The questionnaires were designed to response as a 5 pont scale. The results of previous questionary were given to respondents in second and third questionnaires. If needed, the questionnaires were changed on the previous responses. The items with medium greater than or equal to 4 point in 1st and 2nd responses were accepted in guideline. The items with medium lesser than or equal to 3 point were questioned again about whether they can be excluded or not. The criteria for assessment was made with reference to guideline and applied to 85 hypertensive patients of 9 family practitioners. At 3 months after practice guideline had been given to family practitioners, performance of same practitioners was assessed with 36 new hypertensive patients. Results: 23 professors in family medicine, 22 family practitioners and 6 cardiologists, responded among 50, 50, 15 respectively. Practice guideline with 33 items was developed as a result of 3 times questionaires. The difference of responses between professors in family medicine, family practitioners and cardiologists was not significant. Performance of practice was improved in diagnosis, history taking about 6 fields, laboratory examination and decision making about time of pharmaceutical prescription. It was not improved in physical examination, life style modification, method of pharmaceutical prescription, choice of initial antihypertensives and history taking about duration of disease and diet habit. It was decreased in history taking about psychosocial factors. The assessment scores were low in history taking, physical examination and life style modification before and after use of practice guideline. Conclusion: Practice guideline for hypertension could be developed by Delphi method. Performance of practice improved partially after use of guideline.

위암 수술 후 환자의 정보 요구 (Informational Needs of Postoperative Gastric Cancer Patients)

  • 목적: 의료진은 암 환자들에게 적절한 건강 관련 정보를 제공함으로써 암 환자들이 자신의 질병과 치료에 대한 불확실한 상황을 극복하여 스스로 건강을 관리하는 것을 도울 수 있다. 효과적으로 정보를 제공하기 위해서는 환자가 실제 알고자 하는 정보 내용을 파악하는 것이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 위암 수술 후 환자의 정보 요구 경향을 확인하고자 하였다. 대상 및 방법: 위암 수술 후 환자로, 2008년 11월 18일 삼성서울병원 위암센터에서 주관한 '위암 환자의 날' 행사에 참여한 대상자에게 설문지를 배부하여 직접 작성하도록 하였고, 수집된 190명의 설문지를 분석하였다. 설문 도구는 검사, 치료, 예후, 추후 관리, 성 생활, 위암 관련 정보 영역과 7개의 단일 문항의 총 37개 문항으로 구성되었다. 결과: 정보 요구는 예후, 치료 기간 동안 스스로 할 수 있는 건강 관리 방법, 추후 관리, 위암 관련 정보, 치료, 검사 등의 순으로 높게 나타났다. 문항별로 살펴보면, 예후, 식이, 치료 중의 건강 관리와 관련한 문항에서 높은 정보 요구를 보였다. 대상자의 연령이 젊을수록 검사, 치료, 성 생활, 위암 관련 정보 영역의 정보 요구가 높았다. 결론: 기존에 축적된 병원의 치료 결과 및 예후 자료에 근거한 객관적인 예후 관련 정보를 교육 프로그램에 반영하고 암 환자 및 보호자가 이해하기 쉽도록, 그리고 치료 과정에 적극적으로 참여할 수 있도록 적절한 정보를 전달하여야 할 것이다.

요추척추궁 절제술 환자의 표준관리지침서 개발 (Development of a Critical Pathway for Patients with Lumbar Laminectomy)

  • The purpose of this study was to develop a critical pathway for case management of patients who have received Lumbar Laminectomy because of low back pain, arm and leg numbness, and radiating pain in the leg. For this study, a preliminary critical pathway was developed through a review of the literature including five critical pathways which are currently being used in the USA. In order to identify the overall service contents required by these patients, 30 cases were analyzed. These cases were taken from medical records of those with Lumbar Laminectomy between January, 1998 and December, 1998 in the department of neurosurgery at the Pusan National University Hospital in Pusan. An expert validity test was done for the preliminary critical pathway, a clinical validity test was also done using 12 patients with Lumbar Laminectomy between October 1, 1999 and January 31, 2000. After these processes, the final critical pathway was developed. The results are summarized as follows. 1. The vertical axis of the critical pathway includes the following eight items: assessment, consultation, diet, test, medication, treatment, activity, education/ discharge planning. The horizontal axis includes the time from the start of hospitalization to discharge. Analysis of the 30 medical records was done. analysis of the service contents showed the horizontal axis of the preliminary critical pathway was set from hospitalization to the 12th post operation day and the vertical axis was set to include eight items, the contents which should have occurred, according to the time frames of the horizontal axis. 2. As a result of the expert validity test, it was found that among the 233 items, 203 showed over 88% agreement and 30 of them showed less than 88% agreement, which were then revised or deleted from the critical pathway. At the preliminary meeting for the clinical validity test, the time of hospitalization on the horizontal axis was shortened to the 10th post operation day. A clinical validity test was done with 12 patients with Lumbar Laminectomy. All the cases progressed according to the critical pathway although some variances were noted in assessment, consultation, test, medication, and treatment. 3. Based on these results, a final critical pathway was determined. In conclusion, this critical pathway is partially applicable to the care of patients with Lumbar Laminectomy and needs further investigation.

한국 노인의 근력과 식사의 질에 대한 연구: 2014-2018년 국민건강영양조사 자료를 이용하여 (The Study of Muscle Strength and Dietary Quality of the Korean Elderly: Based on the 2014-2018 Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey)

  • 본 연구에서는 우리나라 65세 이상 노인을 대상으로 근력정상군과 저하군으로 분류하여 식행동 및 식사의 질과 근력 간의 관련성을 비교 분석하였다. 근력저하군은 근력정상군에 비해 학력수준과 소득수준, 취업자 비율이 낮고, 혼자서 거주하는 비율이 높았다. 근력저하군은 정상군에 비해 상대적으로 식이보충제 섭취율과 영양표시 인식율이 낮으며, 활동의 제한율이 높고, 신체활동율이 낮았다. KHEI를 이용하여 식사의 질을 비교한 결과 남녀 모두 근력정상군이 근력저하군에 비해 KHEI 총점이 높았다. 영역별로 「적정성」 영역총점은 근력정상군에서 근력저하군보다 높은 점수를 보인 반면, 「절제」 영역에서는 군별 차이가 없었고, 「에너지 섭취의 균형」 영역총점은 여성의 경우에만 근력정상군의 점수가 근력저하군보다 높아 성별 차이를 보였다. 또한 KHEI 점수가 높을수록 근감소증 발생위험률이 감소하였다. 따라서 본 연구는 노년기의 올바른 식생활 관리와 근력 감소 예방을 위한 영양교육의 기초자료를 마련하는데 유용한 정보로 활용될 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

구조화된 재활교육이 뇌졸중환자 가족의 스트레스에 미치는 영향 (A Study of the Effect of Structured Rehabilitation Education on the Stress of the Family with Stroke Patients)

  • Purpose: The purpose of this study is to evaluate the effect of rehabilitation education on the reduction of the stress of family members who have patients suffering from stroke and to find a new way to nurse the patients and their family. Subjects & Methods: The subjects were sixty-one family members with the patients who had been hospotalized in K hospital of oriental medicine from september the 9th, 1996 to september the fourteen, 1996. This study was performed by simulated control group pretest-posttest design; pretest was done on the control group through a questionnaire, counselling and observation while posttest was done on the experimental group 1-2 days after systemic rehabilitation education. To teach the patients and their family, the amended version of a book written by Lee Hae-jin was used as a tool for systemic rehabilitation education. As a method to estimate ADL score, modified Kang's method was applied and ADL score was measured by well-trained technician. As for the tool to estimate the degree of family stress, Choi's method adjusted to this study was applied. In the analysis of the data, social property of the patient and the characteristic of the disease were surveyed in $X^2$ examination to confirm the consistency between the experimental group and the control group. The diffrence in the degree of the stress, which is a dependent factor, was examined by t-test. The difference in ADL score between the experimental group and the control group was examined by t-test. The difference in the degree of the stress according to the general feature of the family with stroke patient, social property of the patients and the characteristic of the disease were surveyed by F examination. The difference in family stress according to the degree of ADL was surveyed by F examination. RESULTS: 1. After hypothetically-examined systemic rehabilitation education, the total of the score of family stress surveyed in 34 items of three domains was compared between the experimental group and the control group. There was no statistically significant difference between two groups; mean score of experimental group=2.28, that of control group=2.93(t=.17, df=59, p=. 66). 2. In the survey on family stress in 34 items, the items over mean score 3.0 were firstly the anxiety of possible disability and relapse of the disease and secondly to watch the patient's suffering without doing anything in the domain of the change of the disease and the difficulty in caring. And the items of the lowest stress with less than mean 2.0 score were little chance to meet the relative and friends, inconsistent treatment and attitude of the medical workers and the change of the attitude of the relative due to the patient orderly in the domain of social and personal relation and the responsibility as the family. The items which showed the difference between two groups were aggravation of neighboring patient(t=3.36, df= 59, p=.001) and the possibility of patient's death(t=2.19, df=58.38, p=.033) in the domain of the change of the disease and the difficulty in caring. 3. In the study on the stress difference according to general features of the family with the stroke patient, the score of family stress with the occupation was higher with mean 2.49 than that of the family stress without occupation with mean 2.16, but there was no significant difference. (F=5.21, df=1/59, p=.026). 4. In the study on the stress difference according to social property of the patient and the characteristic of the disease, there was significant difference in the age of the patients (F=2.98, df=3/57, p=.039). These results show that even if there is no statistically significant difference between two groups, sixteen of the experimental group are less than 3.0 in ADL score(standard 6 score)while eight of the control group are less than 3.0 and that ten of the experimental group are in the year range of 39-49 while four of the control group are in the year range of 39-49 which showed significant difference in family stress. These imply that there is a possibility that the experimental group have serious and fundamental stress resulting in high pretest stress compared with the control group. It might be due to the characteristic of simulated control group pretest-posttest design that the psychologic-supportive effect by the education was not observed. On the basis of these results, the followings are suggested. 1) A study on the nursing-mediated method to reduce the stress in the items which are not resolved by rehabilitation education, a study on nursing according to the patient's age and a study on the supportive nursing toward the family with occupation are required. 2) More than two times consecutive nursing-mediated rehabilitation education to measure the family stress is required. 3) Comprehensive and multilateral systemic education program including the instruction on western-eastern medicine, physical therapy, exercise and diet through collaboration of the experts in each field is required. 4) Family stress at home as well as in the hospital needs to be estimated and home rehabilitation and home-nursing needs to be continued.

폐경 여성의 내장지방 및 식사의 질에 미치는 영양 교육의 효과 (The Effect of Nutrition Education on Visceral Fat Reduction and Diet Quality in Postmenopausal Women)

  • 본 연구에서는 6개월간 폐경 여성을 대상으로 영양교육과 파워 워킹 프로그램을 실시한 영양교육군, 영양 교육 없이 파워 워킹 프로그램만 실시한 대조군으로 나눠 체중조절 프로그램을 실시 하였다. 그 결과, 두 군 모두 체중과 체질량 지수, 체지방량과 내장지방이 유의적으로 감소하였으나, 영양교육을 실시한 영양교육군에서 체중 감소율이 더 크게 나타났으며, 특히 폐경 여성들에게 문제 시 되고 있는 내장지방의 변화율이 더 유의적으로 감소하는 긍정적인 결과를 보였다. 또한 본 연구에서는 영양교육군 내에서 내장지방변화율에 따라 내장지방 감소율이 큰 군 (HVL group)과 내장지방 감소율이 적은 그룹 (LVL group)으로 나누어 체중조절 프로그램의 효과와 관련된 요인을 분석하였다. 그 결과 내장지방 감소율이 컸던 군에서 체중, BMI, 체지방, 복부지방, 내장지방 등의 체성분들의 변화율이 더 크게 나타났다. 혈압 및 혈액 성분에서는 수축기, 이완기 혈압과 총콜레스테롤, LDL 콜레스테롤, 중성지방, 동맥 경화 지수의 개선 정도가 더 큰 결과를 보였다. 또한 내장지방 감소율이 컸던 군이 내장지방 감소율이 적은 군에 비해 단백질, 칼슘, 비타민C의 INQ와 칼슘, 비타민 $B_1$, 비타민 $B_2$, 비타민 C의 MAR도 유의적으로 증가하여 식사의 질이 더 개선되었음을 알 수 있었다. 또한 단백질의 영양밀도 변화율은 체지방 분포의 변화율과 음의 상관관계를 나타낸 반면, 탄수화물 영양밀도의 변화율은 양의 상관관계를 나타내었고, 비타민 A 영양밀도 변화율은 총 콜레스테롤, LDL-콜레스테롤, 동맥경화 지수 변화율과 음의 상관관계를 보여, 영양교육에 따른 신체계측치 및 체성분의 변화가 영양소 섭취 변화와 관련이 있음을 보여주었다. 이는 영양 교육 및 중재에 있어 실천의 중요성을 강조하는 것으로 이를 위해서는 폐경 여성들의 대사적 특성과 더불어 생활 습관을 이해하고 만성 질병을 예방하고 올바른 식습관을 통해 건강한 삶을 유지할 수 있도록 식사의 균형성, 다양성을 포함한 권장 식사 지침을 제시하고, 적당한 식품 섭취량을 포함한 종합적인 프로그램을 개발하여야 할 것이다. 또한 이러한 페경 여성을 위한 전문적이며 체계적인 프로그램을 통해 폐경 이후 체중 및 체지방 증가를 예방하고, 나아가 만성질병을 예방, 관리할 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

중국유학생의 한식 메뉴 선호도 및 기숙사 급식만족도 - 목포대 일부 재학생을 대상으로 - (Preference for Korean Food and Satisfaction of Dormitory Foodservice by Chinese Students Studying at Mokpo National University)

  • 본 연구는 중국유학생 한식메뉴 선호도와 급식의 만족도를 알아보기 위하여 목포대학교에 재학중인 중국유학생 총 167명을 대상으로 설문지를 이용하여 조사대상자의 일반적 특성, 한식재료 총 40종의 기호도, 중국학생들의 식습관, 한국음식의 인지도와 선호도, 기숙사 급식실태, 급식서비스 속성에 대한 중요도와 만족도 등을 비교, 분석하였다. 조사대상자는 '남자'가 90명(53.9%), 한국체류 기간은 '1학기 거주'가 97명(58.1%), 건강상태는 '건강함'이 80명(47.9%)임을 알 수 있었다. 한국음식에 대한 인식도로는 '맛이 담백'이 $3.36{\pm}0.95$점, 한국음식 식품군별 기호도는 고기류에서 '쇠고기'가 78명(46.7%), 생선류는 '갈치'가 48명(28.7%), 야채류에서는 '배추'가 39명(24.4%), 과일류는 '귤'이 82명(49.1%), 우유 및 유제품은 '흰우유'가 65명(38.9%) 등이 가장 높았다. 식습관 중 편식여부는 큰 차이가 없었고, 식사하는 이유로는 '공복감 해소'가 72명(43.1%)으로 가장 높았다. 한끼 식사량으로는 '적당하게'가 98명(58.7%), 식사를 거르는 이유로는 '시간이 없어서'가 81명(48.5%), 식습관에 영향을 주는 요인으로는 '가족의 식습관'이 92명(55.1%), 식습관 중 가장 큰 문제라고 생각하고 있는 것으로는 '불규칙한 식사시간'이 67명(40.1%)으로 가장 높았다. 한식 메뉴별 인지도에서는 배추김치, 불고기, 깍두기, 삼겹살, 떡볶이, 갈비탕, 곰탕 순, 선호도에서는 불고기, 돼지갈비찜, 소갈비찜, 닭갈비찜, 삼겹살, 갈비탕, 닭도리탕 순이었다. 인지도와 선호도간의 차이검증 결과는 비빔밥, 떡국, 된장찌개, 김치찌개, 떡볶이, 잡채, 배추김치, 깍두기(p<0.001)에서 유의한 차이가 있었다. 또한 전복죽, 비빔국수, 소갈비찜, 돼지갈비찜, 닭갈비찜, 생선매운탕, 곰탕(p<0.01), 호박죽, 불고기, 닭도리탕(p<0.05)에서도 유의한 차이를 보였다. 기숙사 급식실태는 하루 중 식사 횟수로 '2회'가 79명(47.3%), 식사소요시간으로는 '10~20분 미만'이 109명(65.3%), 급식을 이용하는 이유로는 '의무식 규정이어서'가 62명(37.1%), 급식을 이용하지 않는 이유로는 '맛이 없어서' 76명(45.5%)이 가장 높았고, 식사 시 가장 많이 남기는 음식종류로는 '김치류' 46명(27.5%)이 가장 높았다. 급식서비스 중요도에서는 '식기의 위생'이 $4.22{\pm}0.77$점, 만족도에서는 '식사 후 냅킨 거울 급수시설의 설비'에서 $3.64{\pm}0.80$점으로 가장 높게 나타났다. 중요도와 만족도의 차이검증 결과는 식당의 위치를 제외한 모든 항목에서 유의한 차이(p<0.001)가 있었다. 이와 같이 중국유학생들의 급식 만족도를 높이기 위해서는 학생들의 요구에 맞는 맛과 다양성을 추구하고 이를 반영하여 음식 맛을 개선하고 음식 맛을 돋을 수 있는 형태나 외관에 대해서도 만족할 수 있는 조리법을 개발하는 단체급식이 되도록 노력해야 할 것으로 보인다.

유통업 여성 근로자의 건강 문제와 건강 행위에 관한 연구 (A Study on Health Behaviors and Problems of Female Retail Workers)

  • The objectives of this study are to identify health behaviors and health problems. and the relations between health behaviors and health problems of female workers in the retail business. The number of subjects were 200 female workers of 6 department stores in Seoul and Kyonggi area, whose jobs last more than 6 months as retail employees. The data was collected during 2 months from July 1 to August 30, 1998. The Cornell Medical Index Health Questionnaire(CMI) was used to measure their health problems, while health behaViorn were investigated in terms of 'smoking', 'alcohol', exercise', 'diet', and 'sleeping'. The data were analyzed with frequency. percentage, t-test, ANOVA test, and $X^2-test$ by SPSS PC+ program. The results of this study are as follows: 1. Out of health problems. Digestive symptoms occupied the highest percent number. nervous ones the second and cardiovascular ones the third among physical health problems of retail female workers. The most frequent mental health problem was 'adequacy' and the next, 'tension' and 'anger', 2, Health problems according to general characteristics of subjects were shown that the younger or the unmarried complained more than the older or the married, especially in the items of 'eye and ear', 'respiratory system', 'cardiovascular system', 'digestive tract', 'nervous system', 'adequacy', and 'depression'. The longer working duration they have had, the more they complained of 'respiratory system' and 'adequacy'. The lower academic careers complained of 'nervous' than the higher ones with statistical significance. 3. The analysis of daily health clinic notes showed that respiratory complaints were the highest percent, successively followed by digestive tract, nervous one, external injury, musculoskeletal system, urinary-reproductive system and others. 4. The level of their health practice was generally low in smoking, diet habit and alcohol intake, exercise, sleeping, very low especially in smoking, diet, alcohol intake, and exercise among them all. 5. Present smokers and ones with past experience complained of physical and mental health problems of 'respiratory system', 'digestive tract', 'skin', 'nervous', 'urinary-reproductive system', 'fatigability', adequacy', 'depression', 'anxiety', 'anger' and 'tension', than non smokers, with statistical difference. Workers without having breakfast and with irregular diet had more complaints on 'digestive tract', 'adequacy' and 'tension', than those who had regular dietary habit. The less the subjects slept, the more they complained of eye and ear, cardiovascular system. The subjects who drank alcohol complained more digestive problem. However, whether they exercise or not did not affect physical and mental health problems in a significant manner. 6. The subjects' age and marital status were statistically significant relating to health behaviors, as the younger or unmarried recorded a low level of health practice in smoking, drinking, dietary habit. Based on the results, the suggestions are made as follows: 1. Health education program on smoking, alcohol intake, diet habit is needed to improve health problems and health behavior of female retail workers. 2. The unmarried workers of late teen and twenties, who are transitional period from teenagers to adulthood are important targets for health promotion program especially for maternal health. 3. Better working environment with sufficient time and facilities for workers to relax is required to promote female sales workers' health. 4. Further research is required to identify the relation between workers' visual fatigue and intense lights for the display of goods.

뇌졸중 환자들의 무기질 (칼륨, 마그네슘, 칼슘) 섭취와 식사의 질 및 대뇌 죽상경화증과의 상관성 연구 (Association between intakes of minerals (potassium, magnesium, and calcium) and diet quality and risk of cerebral atherosclerosis in ischemic stroke patients)

  • 뇌졸중은 국내 3대 사인 중 하나로 칼륨과 마그네슘, 칼슘의 섭취량이 뇌졸중 발병 및 예방에 긍정적인 영향을 미친다는 연구가 지속되고 있지만 연구 결과가 아직 명확하지 않은 실정이다. 또한 뇌졸중 환자들에 있어 영양 상태는 증상의 정도와 합병증 및 예후를 결정짓는 중요한 역할을 함에도 불구하고 현재까지 국내 뇌졸중 환자들의 DQI-I를 이용한 식사의 질 평가에 대한 연구는 미비한 실정이다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 285명의 뇌졸중 환자들의 칼륨과 마그네슘, 칼슘의 섭취량에 따라 4분위로 나누어 섭취량이 가장 적은 Q1 그룹과 섭취량이 가장 많은 Q4 그룹의 식사의 질을 평가 비교하였고, 칼륨과 마그네슘, 칼슘의 섭취량과 대뇌 죽상경화증과의 상관성에 대해 분석하여 그 결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1) 대상자들의 신체계측 및 생화학적 검사결과는 칼륨과 마그네슘, 칼슘의 섭취량에 따라 차이가 나타나지 않았으나, 연령이 낮을수록 마그네슘의 섭취가 유의적으로 높았고, 교육수준이 높을수록 칼륨의 섭취가 많았다. 그리고 칼륨의 섭취가 많을수록 심방세동의 분포가 적었으며, 마그네슘의 섭취가 많을수록 대뇌 죽상경화증의 분포가 적음을 확인하였다. 2) 대상자들의 칼륨과 마그네슘, 칼슘의 섭취량과 한국인 영양섭취 기준$^{28}$을 비교한 결과, Q1에서의 섭취 비율이 Q4에서의 섭취 비율보다 유의적으로 낮았고, 특히 마그네슘의 경우, Q1 그룹과 Q4 그룹 모두 권장섭취량에 비해 부족하게 섭취하고 있었다. 그리고 식품군별 섭취량과 영양소별 섭취량 비교 결과, Q1 그룹의 평균 섭취량보다 Q4 그룹의 평균 섭취량이 유의적으로 많았다. 3) 대상자들의 식사의 질을 비교한 결과, 칼륨과 마그네슘, 칼슘의 섭취량이 많을수록 INQ와 MAR, 총 DQI-I의 점수가 높아 식사의 질이 높음을 확인하였다. 4) 대상자들의 칼륨과 마그네슘, 칼슘의 섭취량과 대뇌죽상경화증의 상관성을 분석한 결과, 유의적인 상관관계가 없었으나, 마그네슘의 경우 보정을 하지 않았을 경우와 나이, 성별, 교육수준, 흡연량, 심방세동의 유무, 총열량 섭취량을 보정한 경우, 섭취량이 많을수록 대뇌 죽상경화증의 발생률이 줄어드는 경향을 보였다. 결론적으로 칼륨과 마그네슘, 칼슘의 섭취량이 많을수록 전반적인 식사의 질이 좋음을 보여준다. 그리고 마그네슘의 경우 섭취량이 높을수록 대뇌 죽상경화증의 발생률이 줄어드는 경향을 보였다. 하지만 DQI-I의 절제성 항목과 균형성 항목에서 칼륨과 마그네슘, 칼슘의 섭취량이 많을수록 점수가 낮아진 점과 대뇌 죽상경화증 발생과의 유의적인 관계가 충분하지 않았던 결과를 보아 제한점들을 보완하고 대상자수를 충분히 확보하여 지속적인 연구를 수행한다면 환자 개인적 차원뿐만 아니라 국가적 보건 차원으로 뇌졸중의 합병증 감소 및 예방에 기초자료를 제공하는 데에 도움이 될 것이라 사료된다.
