수처리용 유전체장벽 플라즈마 반응기에 대한 기초 연구 (A Basic Study of Plasma Reactor of Dielectric Barrier Discharge for the Water Treatment)

  • This study investigated the degradation of N, N-Dimethyl-4-nitrosoaniline (RNO, indicator of the generation of OH radical) by using dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) plasma. The DBD plasma reactor of this study consisted of a quartz dielectric tube, titanium discharge (inner) and ground (outer) electrode. The effect of shape (rod, spring and pipe) of ground electrode, diameter (9~30 mm) of ground electrode of spring shape and inside diameter (4~13 mm) of quartz tube, electrode diameter (1~4 mm), electrode materials (SUS, Ti, iron, Cu and W), height difference of discharge and ground electrode (1~15.5 cm) and gas flow rate (1~7 L/min) were evaluated. The experimental results showed that shape of ground electrode and materials of ground and discharge electrode were not influenced the RNO degradation. The thinner the diameter of discharge and ground electrode, the higher RNO degradation rate observed. The effect of height gap of discharge between ground electrode on RNO degradation was not high within the experimented value. Among the experimented parameters, inside diameter of quartz tube and gas flow rate were most important parameters which are influenced the decomposition of RNO. Optimum inside diameter of quartz tube and gas flow rate were 7 mm and 4 L/min, respectively.

  • In this paper the experiments of breakdown characteristics of rod-electrodes by pressure and gap change of imitation-air were described. The results are fundamental data for electric insulation design of distribution power facilities which will be studied and developed in the future. And we could make an environment friendly gas insulation material with mataining dielectric strength by imitation air which generates a lower lever of the global warming effect.

  • A new method was developed to fabricate 1-3 piezo composite, a part of ultrasonic transducer. PZT rod arrays were made by pressing PZT green sheet with LIGA mold, and were sintered. Its dielectric constant and electro-mechanical coupling coefficient showed 4000 and 55% at 1kHz, respectively. So, PZT rod arrays made by means of this process can be applied to ultrasonic transducer.

  • Photonic crystal is a dielectric materials or a set of different dielectric materials with periodic structure of refractive index. Line defect obtained by leaving out a row of rod along the $\Gamma$-X direction. We showed the change of group velocity in waveguide mode and found a small group velocity. Characteristic of the small group velocity described by electric field distribution. As the phase variation, small group velocity confirmed from positive to negative.

  • This paper presents a high-performance dual-circularly polarized feed employing a dielectric-filled circular waveguide. Novel features are incorporated in the proposed feed, such as a dielectric rod radiator for high gain and good impedance matching; dual quarter-wave chokes for low axial ratio over wide angles and for low back radiation; an integrated septum polarizer; and two end-launch-type coaxial-to-waveguide transitions. The proposed feed shows excellent performance at 5.0 GHz to 5.2 GHz.

  • We have developed an imaging radiometer system at W-band. The system consists of lens, reflector, 30-ch receiver array, scanner, and signal processor. One receiver consists of a dielectric rod antenna, a balun, LNA(low noise amplifier) and a detector. The system configuration requirements are described. Finally, we represent radiometer images to obtain through clouds, smoke, dust, and other obstructions which render visible and IR systems ineffective.

  • Monolayers of lipids on a water surface have attracted much interest as models of biological membranes, but also as precursors of multilayer systems promising many technical applications. Until now, many methodologies have been developed in order to gain a better understanding of the relationship between the structure and function of the monolayers. Maxwell displacement current (MDC) measurement has been employed to study the dielectric property of Langmuir-films. MDC flowing across monolayers is analyzed using a rod-like molecular model. It is revealed that the dielectric relaxation time $\tau$ of mono layers in the isotropic polar orientational phase is determined using a liner relationship between the monolayer compression speed a and the molecular area $A_m$. Compression speed a was about 30, 40, 50mm/min. also, LB layers of Arachidic acid deposited by LB method were deposited onto slide glass as Y-type film. The structure of manufactured device is Au/Arachidic acid/Al, the number of accumulated layers are 9 ~ 21 and we then examined of the Metal-Insulator-Metal(MIM) device by means of I-V.

플라즈마를 결합한 바이오 트리클링 시스템에 의한 휘발성 유기물질의 제거 (Removal of Volatile Organic Compounds Using a Plasma Assisted Biotrickling System)

  • In this study, a newly developed biotrickling system, combined with a non-thermal plasma reactor, was investigated to effectively treat gaseous contaminants such as VOCs (Volatile Organic Compounds). Three kinds of non-thermal plasmas (NTPs) such as a rod type dielectric barrier discharge (DBD) plasma, a packed bead type DBD plasma and a gliding arc (GA) plasma, were tested and compared in terms of power consumption. The rod type DBD plasma was selected as one for integration with biotrickling system due to its relatively high VOC removal efficiency, low power consumption and low pressure drop. Toluene and xylene as representatives of VOCs were used as test gases. The experiment results showed that the efficiency of biotrickling system was especially very low at the high gas concentration and high flow rate and the removal efficiencies of VOCs were considerably enhanced in the biotrickling system, when the DBD plasma was worked in front of that even at the high gas concentration and high flow rate.

  • 본 논문에서는 Re-enterant 공동 공진기의 내부 도체봉 길이 변화에 따른 공진 주파수의 가변특성을 실험정그로 고찰하였다. 실험시 제작된 공진기는 동축 케이블과 원형 도파관을 경합한 형태로서 동축 케이블의 내부 도체봉의 길이를 축방향으로 면화시킬 수 있도록 하여, 내부 도체봉의 임의의 길이에 대한 Tmonq 모드의 공진 주파수를 측정하였다. 경과의 타당성을 입증하기 위해서 실험 경과와 여러 사람들의 이론치를 비교하였다. 본 실험의 결과는 파장계, 공진기?l 증폭기의 공진 회로의 설계및 제작에 활용할 수 있으며 마이크로 웨이브 집적회로(MIC, Microwave Integrated Circuits)나 여과기에 사용되는 유전체 공진기의 공진 주파수를 가변시키는데도 사용할 수 있다.

지반의 함수비 평가를 위한 관입형 TDR 프로브의 개발 및 적용 (Development and Application of TDR Penetrometer for Evaluation of Soil Water Content of Subsoil)

  • 불포화토의 함수비 변화에 따라 유전상수는 민감하게 변화하므로, TDR 프로브를 이용하여 유전상수를 측정함으로써 흙의 체적함수비를 산정하기 위한 연구가 여러차례 시도되어 왔다. 본 연구에서는 불포화지반의 깊이에 따른 함수상태를 획득하기 위하여 관입형 TDR 프로브(TDRP)를 개발 및 현장적용을 수행하였다. 개발된 TDRP는 콘, 주면부, 롯드, 그리고 해머 및 가이드로 구성된다. 지반의 유전상수를 측정하기 위한 세개의 전극은 주면부의 표면에 설치되었으며, 세개의 전극은 동축선과 연결한 후, reflectometer에 연결하여 TDRP 측정 시스템을 구성하였다. 체적함수비-유전상수의 관계를 결정하기 위하여, 실내실험에서 체적함수비 변화에 따른 주문진사의 유전상수를 측정하였다. 실험결과, 체적함수비-유전상수의 관계는 프로브의 설치방식에 관계없이 3차 다항식으로 결정되었으며, 시료의 체적함수비와 높은 상관성을 나타내었다. TDRP의 현장적용실험은 현장에서 소형 sampler로 채취된 시료의 중량함수비 결과와 비교 및 분석되었으며, TDRP로 산정된 체적함수비와 유사한 경향을 보였다. 본 연구에서 개발된 관입형 TDR 프로브는 관입심도에 따라 대상지반의 체적함수비를 효과적으로 평가할 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.
