Objective : The objective of this study is to define the conceptional meaning of Shanghanlun provision while applying Shanghanlun disease pattern identification diagnostic system. Methods : 2 clinical cases, whose patients were treated by Injinho-tang, which was selected according to Shanghanlun provisions dualized with Je-Gang(提綱) and Jo-Moon(條文), were analyzed. Results : According to the results of analysis of 2 cases, the patients' diseases were improved when the treatment was applied according to Shanghanlun disease pattern identification diagnostic system and the interpretation of Shanghanlun provisions according to the etymology of Chinese character. Conclusions : These results suggests that Shanghanlun provisions be applied according to etymological interpretation of Chinese character in Shanghanlun disease pattern identification diagnostic system.

Nasopharyngeal angiofibroma is a relatively rare, but is a well known tumor that occurs almost in male, most frequently during the adolescent stage. Its character is histologically benign but clinically malignant because of locally invasive character to the adjascent structures, massive bleeding tendency during surgical procedure and high recurrence rate after treatment. Recently many advancements in diagnostic method and surgical technique has reached satisfactory result in treating this difficult tumor. The authors present a case of nasopharyngeal angiofibroma in 16 years old male patient, who was received surgical removal of the tumor through the transpalatal approach after full diagnostic evaluation and preoperative hormonal therapy.

The Diagnostic Imagining Department essentially needs to be transformed by the plan of the room and the medical equipment which should be improved according to a rapid development in technology. And the room should be considered the scale and composition an the time of planning. Because this part is often influenced in a specific character of imaging equipment in the room. The researches on the scale and composition of Diagnostic Imaging Department were the main part in 1980's but after 1990's this kind of researches have not been enough. So this study has an intention of proposing basic data which is used in planning the Diagnostic Imaging Department by analyzing the actual condition of the area organization in general hospital.

The order of Rhododendro-Quercetalia mongolicae representing temperate oak forests in Korea was characterized in terms of presence of taxa of different rank. 140 releves were analysed for percentage contribution of each species, genera and families in syntaxa under consideration as well as extracton of diagnostic genera and families for syntaxa by an ordination technique. The Rhododendro-Quercetalia is characterized by high diversity of tree and shrub species contributing 40% of the total floristic composition as well as by a high contribution of the genus Rhododendron and the absence of the genus Fagus, characteristic of the QuercoFagetea sensu lato. The character families for the Rhododendron and Quercus include Liliaceae and Compositae, whereas Acer, Carex, Viola, Rhododendron and Quercus are the most common among genera. Rhododendron and Quercus are regarded as the transgressive cheractergenera, whereas the families of Pinaceae and Ericaceae are considered companions (in sense of the terminology of the Braun-Blanquet syntaxonomy) for the order. Family appeared to be an inadequate rank for diagnoses of alliances and suballiances. On the other hand, genus was found to be the most effective rank in differentiating the alliances and suballiances. The Lindero-Quercenion shares the same character-genera with the order Rhododendro-Quercetalia. Character genera of the suballiances Callicarpo-quercenion are Carpinus, Styrax, Smilax and Callicarpa, and those of the Pino-Quercion list Euonymus, Saussurea and Tilia.

The animation is expressed by fusing the character's aesthetic feature and action in the entire structure and such creation of the character is needed to approach with understanding its socio-cultural background and dramatic structure. This study has started for the reason that there is a need of making an animation character based on reality, as well as to develop a individual character and narrative skill at the same time. In this study, analyzing through the DSM-IV (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders) by the American Psychiatric Association, APA), I have been able to come to a conclusion in which the character's personality is presented more exaggeratingly than its ordinary tendency. So it is used as a means to occur a dramatic motive-induction and probability. Futhermore, applying the same condition of the personality disorders to the animation character has changed the narrative development and it showed a result that even the character is not having the problem of personality disorders, it shows the nature of personality disorders-like is being appeared exaggeratingly or increasingly.

Objectives : The 7-zone-diagnostic system is a diagnostic device to predetermine bodily locations by measuring the energy of body. This study was to investigate the relation between the different patterns of Zone 2 of Factor AA in CP-6000A (VEGA, Germany), 7-zone-diagnostic system and the factors of Bell's Palsy. Methods : This study was carried out with the data from factors of Bell's Palsy(age, sex, period after onset, postauricular pain, season which the disease happen, contributing factor). We made three groups according to the different patterns of Zone 2 of Factor AA in CP-6000A. The Factor AA pattern of Group A is that the red bar graph of zone 2 were lower than the normal range. The Factor AA pattern of Group B was that the red bar graph of zone 2 was the normal range. The Factor AA pattern of Group C was that the red bar graph of zone 2 was higher than the normal range. After collecting the data about factors of Bel's Palsy to correspond with conditions of each group were selected, the data was analyzed statistically. Results : The values of number of patient and period after onset of group A was higher than group B and C. The values of ratio of postauricular pain of group B and C was higher than group A. The season of disease happened of group A is spring and winter, group B is winter and group C is summer and autumn. The contributing factor of disease happened of group A is none, and group B and C is stress and clod. Conclusions : In Bell's Palsy, it is thought that the red bar graph of zone 2 is lower, the group have lower energy(虛) and the energy has a character of cold(寒), and zone 2 is higher, the group has the higher energy(實) and the energy has a character of fire(熱).

The purpose of this study was relation Korean traditional medicine and western medicine with the data from 7-zone-diagnostic system and the clinical parameters. Methods : This study was carried out with the data from some clinical parameters. We made three groups according to the Factor AA patterns of CP-6000A. The Factor AA pattern of Group A is that the red bar graph of zone 1, 2, 3 were higher than the normal range and the others were the normal range. The Factor AA pattern of Group B was that the red bar graph of zone 1, 2, 3 was the normal range and the others were the normal range. The Factor AA pattern of Group C was that the red bar graph of zone 1, 2, 3 was lower than the normal range and the others were the normal range. After the data from clinical parameters to correspond with conditions of each group were selected, the data from clinical parameters among each groups analyzed statistically. Results : The values of GOT, GPT, r-GPT, Triglyceride, BUN, Uric acid of group A was higher than group C. Gastroscope of group A and B was higher than group C. Conclusions : It is thought that the red bar graph of zone 1, 2, 3 is higher, the group has the higher energy and the energy has a character of fire(熱). Those patterns have a high risk of hyperlipermia and liver, stomach disease.

For the purpose of the basic educated-establishment on the diagnostic methods of "facial color and shape which reflect human's spiritual essence and personality", we study on the diagnostic value and application of the human face. The study's domain is divided the form and color of human face. And the form and color of human face is respectively observed the diagnostic value and contents. The form of human face reflect plenty the information of the mankind, and the observation of the face is applied to the "Physiognomie" refering to the external features of humans. Therefore the diagnosis on the form of human face is the primary factor in the grouping of five-element human, the discrimination of the Sasang constitution, and the classification of Hyunsang type. The color of human face reflect the physical information of internal organs and the pathological change of disease, therefore we examine the region, character and grade of disease by the inspection of complexion including the changes of color and luster of the facial skin. The inspection on the color is also the primary factor in the grouping of five-element human, the classification of Hyunsang and the differentiation of syndromes. The value of the inspection of complexion including the changes of color and form of the face is widely known. In the future, we think, we need to study more about the theory of the diagnostic value and application of the human face.

In this paper, we evaluated the character of speech of hearing impaired person (HIP) who acquire his hearing loss after the youth. It is usually observed that severe HIP decreased not only speech perception but also vocalization. so there is a need for sensitive and quantitative measures or the assesment of the speech of the HIP to serve both diagnostic and prognosic purposes, 7 HIP and 12 normal hearing person(NHP) were studied with pure tone test and speaking test using word/sentence table which consists of vowel(a:), mono and two syllables and a sentence. we analyzed formant frequency, pitch, sound intensity, speech duration of HIP and NHP speech. According to the results, in the HIP's speech we find that formant frequency was shifted, first-formant prominence was reduced, the dynamic range of sound intensity was decreased, speech duration was prolonged. In the next, we expect the correlation between hearing and speech character of HIP is cleared through analysis of more acoustic parameters and precise selection of HIP group.

Leucas aspera Link. (Lamiaceae) is an important medicinal plant in indigenous systems of medicine in India and commonly known as 'Thumbai'. It has various ethnomedicinal values as various traditional communities find diverse medicinal properties. It is used as antipyretic, stimulant, expectorant and diaphoretic drug. The present communication deals with the detailed pharmacognostical evaluation of whole plant of L. aspera collected from five different geographical zones of the country-Uttar Pradesh, Orissa, Karnataka, West Bengal and Gujarat. The botanical characters and TLC fingerprint profile of all the samples were quite similar but some variations were observed in physicochemical parameters. However, some microscopical characters and TLC profile can be used as diagnostic characters for identification of L. aspera, for example amphistomachic leaves and two types of trichomes-abundant, non glandular, uniseriate, 1-3 celled and few glandular, 2-5 celled stalk with rounded tip. Presence of some components at $R_fs-0.56$, 0.65 and 0.76 under UV 366 and at $R_fs-0.31$, 0.43, 0.60, 0.76 and 0.82 under visible light after derivetization in TLC profile may also be used as diagnostic character.
